I don't find it easy to agree with this because: Maybe the white hair would be unrealistic, but the dude is not just skin and bones. And I easily find this guy to look more intimidating than DmC Dante, but whatevs. (there's also more to intimidation than appearance) Original series Dante, at least in 3 and 4 (since the series took a while to find consistency,) barely swears, doesn't flip people off, and references lots of different things, from J-rock bands to Shakespeare to Looney Tunes. He's got a wide range of quirks, from cheesy to tragic to badass. This is one of my favorite scenes with Dante. In contrast, there's this scene in the reboot. Some people find it funny but...not me. But hey, personal taste I guess. Some people like the more punk-ish, style with the electronic screamo music accompanying it. I prefer the mix of gothic and hard rock. DMC2 Dante is boring and less interesting than DmC Dante, I'll give him that.
The director was clear in interviews that he doesn't think original series Dante is cool.
In one of many decisions that I've hated in the film industry, this is a big one. Link to The Escapist article. Talk about spineless. Imagine how many other films would have never been experienced were theaters and studios actually showing such cowardice as this. Why not just cancel every movie involving Batman because of the theater murders during the release of "The Dark Knight Rises"? Why not pull every film depicting terrorists in the middle-east? Some on Reddit bring up the fact that Charlie Chaplin had to fund "The Great Dictator" on his own after the studio dropped out. Glad he had the integrity (though ironically Adolf Hitler reportedly enjoyed it.)
I kind of think something with these many substantial posts ought to be in the Discussion section (and I don't say that often, least I don't think I do)

OF COURSE Misty makes sure we all know about Ellen Page. Man, there was so much shit this year concerning law enforcement (and the lack of.) They share so many character types, but NGE does its story so much better. Eren is generic angry guy usually, and Mikasa feels like Eren's plot armor. I've yet to pick up new albums from Foo Fighters or Rise Against :< I guess Transistor's soundtrack. Super good stuff. I think the biggest reason that Five Nights at Freddy's got so popular (besides featuring animatronics which freak the hell out of so many people) is that...let's be honest, the survival horror genre is in a terrible state. Pat from the Best Friends does not exagerate when he says that the genre has still not moved forward enough since the release of Silent Hill 2 more than 13 years ago. Sora falling to the darkness would be far too interesting to happen, sadly. I honestly didn't like Sora in Kingdom Hearts II. Hella inconsistent. He was far better in Dream Drop Distance. You guys are right on the money with part of why Empire Strikes Back is so damn good. Xion's death was really well done. One of the best parts of 358/2 Days. I really wish the story wasn't so damn slow to getting to the good, substantial moments (also wish the gameplay was good.)

Battle of the Five Armies earned its nearly 3 hour run time, though I'd have cut out many scenes with...whoever the Laketown ruler's assistant is. He's just not funny.
About wanting old DMC over new DmC? Kind of. Way I see it, it also goes in Capcom's direction: they're clearly seeing and paying attention to the (valid) backlash that came with DmC's release, so this will be literally the old VS. the new, but at the same time, the fact that so many of those features weren't in the original and the fact that they're pushing the old school look, at least in this trailer, says that Capcom/Ninja Theory really don't have as much backbone as they tried to make it appear when they made their jabs at the original series. But whatever, they'll have a better game this time at the very least. OH MY GOD THAT GAME IS SUPER GOOD (even if the girlfriend stuff is super duper sexist but well that's lots of hip-hop culture) DAT AKI ENGINE

Spoiler I agree with Mish and Plums; someone should have died in order for that big moment to actually have held weight, and move the story forward in a way that isn't just more of "KUVIRA IS BEATING US SUPER HARD GUYS" If anything, I'd want one of the brothers to die in order for Bataar Jr. to completely open his eyes to what Kuvira's become.
I mean, I'm gonna play it on the PS3 since it was free. And hey, it'll be better than DMC2.
Funny how much they show the white-haired model, eh? Funny how little they show the new version with black hair, eh? Funny how that joke in the original version now is hella awkward, eh? (Full disclosure, I'll play DmC Definitive Edition; just pointing this out.)
