Do be sure to enjoy other games too before it comes out. Guacamelee is a fantastic Metroidvania-style game, Warframe is fun with friends and free, and inFAMOUS: Second Son is beautiful and enjoyable (though maybe worth waiting for a price drop first.)

What we could do is figure out a tournament bracket size first of all. Then, have people sign up until we fill all of the slots. Use a randomizer to make the matchups. Have people battle, and then save the footage for everyone else to watch, thus allowings us to verify who won and if they won fairly (according to whatever rules we end up agreeing on.) This goes on until someone wins the tournament.

An alternative to using actual Pokemon would be using the Pokemon simulator, but I'm not sure how many people would want to do that. Right now, I'd honestly prefer using our actual Pokemon.

There are plenty of Legendary Pokemon that are only about as strong as non-Legendary Pokemon, like Entei or Keldeo. Only thing that makes them Legendary for all intents and purposes is their part in the story and their rarity. Meanwhile, Arceus and Darkrai, for instance, both have extremely powerful stats, abilities, and moves, with few reliable counters except other Legendary Pokemon.

Simply to reduce the frustration of one party constantly being unable to be hit. However, I'm thinking that it'd be ok to do away without it. I just really, really don't want to see people spam it.

Believe me, it wouldn't be fun if your entire party is sleeping.

Not at all; it forces you to strategize and diversify. Yes, it wouldn't be impossible to take down a team of six Charizards (or, hell, even that tough to counter,) but I'd really strongly prefer people actually putting more thought into team building than "SIX OF THIS ONE"

That specific cycle would mean one Pokemon is constantly healing itself for as long as it likes. Not fun if you're being damaged passively (Burn, Poison, Sand, Hail, etc.)

As with the Legendary Pokemon, there are plenty of balanced Mega Pokemon. Mega Aggron and Mega Ampharos, for instance, are perfectly balanced, with plenty of counters for either. Also, including Mega Pokemon lends an extra element of strategy.

Do remember though: if you want, you can choose to have individual battles without any of these regulations. I'm simply trying to figure out a good way for the majority of KH-Vids people who play Pokemon to play in our organized tournaments with some sense of balance.

Would you guys prefer making a new Social Group, or sticking with one of the currently existing Pokemon ones?

I did list some Pokemon that I felt didn't have a place, but, as the second part of your post implies, I feel we should just make a specific thread for all this.

I didn't use the term "Uber" specifically so that the list made sense for the people who don't regular competitive Pokemon sites.

As for the clauses, I don't think we need to adapt all of Smogon's; I simply put in the ones that I agree with. It'd be best for us to discuss whatever restrictions we want on our own site and thread, as you stated.

Looking up some regulations on sites like Smogon

    How's about:

    • No Legendary Pokemon that can only be found in one area once per game (example: Suicune and Latios are excluded, Mewtwo and Rayquaza are included)
    • No moves that increase evasion (Double Team or Minimize)
    • Only one enemy Pokemon may be affected by your own Sleep-inducing move at a time
    • Only one Pokemon of each species on a team (example: can't have two Charizards)
    • Can't use the Recycle move to regain a healing Held Item while active Pokemon also knows healing moves
Anything else can be discussed. For instance, I'd prefer to ban Mega Kangaskhan due to its powerful Ability, Stats, and lack of various counters (mainly Ghost and Fighting types, if they can survive,) and Mega Blaziken due to similar reasons.

Since there isn't an actual thread in the Film section:

+Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg) is actually likable, gets shit done, and has a character arc that I cared about. I don't miss Sam Witwicky at all.
+The first decent human villain in the film series
    +Yet again, stunning CGI work
+No juvenile sex jokes (the jellyfish thing was close though)
+Obvious jokes about the film series' own flaws
+Liked the variety of the Autobots (Drift (Ken Watanabe), a robot samurai, who turns into a Bugatti AND a helicopter....yo)
+Motherfucking Dinobots (THEY'RE HUGE AND DESTROY ALL)
+Joshua Joyce (Stanley Tucci) is really fun to watch, and I liked his character
+Su Yueming (Bingbing Li) is also a cool character
+Many of the best action scenes in the film series
+Lockdown's ship was a neat location to see
+BENDER'S VOICE ACTOR (John DiMaggio) IS AN AUTOBOT
+Steve Jablonsky's score is fantastic yet again
+Seeing Optimus Prime's G1 vehicle mode get some love
+Mark Ryan gets love as Lockdown (since Bumblebee NEVER GETS TO FREAKING TALK FOR WHATEVER STUPID REASON)
+Some actual tension felt when a likable good guy is killed gruesomely
-But that tension is lost when no other good guy gets the same treatment
-Plot gets SUPER unfocused around halfway into the film's run time
-Galvatron felt shoehorned in, and I'm not sure I like how they changed his creation (shoulda just gone with Nemesis Prime)
-Missed out on the opportunity to kill off Skids and Mudflap on-screen (though apparently they were killed off in Dark of the Moon's comic)
    -Dinobots were a little underused
-GRIMLOCK DOESN'T TALK (nor do the other Dinobots BUT GRIMLOCK C'MON)
-Could totally tell when some scenes were green-screened (usually when human characters are put on spaceships)
-Felt like Su Yueming like she could have used more scenes
-No Agent Simmons (John Turturro) :<
-Soundtrack got kind of annoying in the film
-NO LINKIN PARK WHEN THEY JUST PUT OUT ONE OF THEIR BEST ALBUMS????
?So many shots of American countryside
?Optimus Prime can just fly now?
?No mention of Sam Witwicky at all

All in all, the best of the series so far (though the first film is a lot more coherent.)

    • Ghost in the Shell (like, how have you not seen this?)
    • Little Witch Academia (super short)
    • Mind Game (one of the trippiest movies ever; ironic that I watched it with KH-Vids people)
    • The Place Promised in Our Early Days (same director who did 5 Centimeters per Second)
All I've got that fits the criteria...yeah I need to watch more anime movies.

Agreeing with pretty much everything you said: Mark Wahlberg's character (no clue how to spell the name) is leagues more likable and enjoyable than Shia (who, by the third movie, was just damn annoying to watch.) Galvatron was a super obvious sequel-bait character for when/if they eventually make a film with Unicron, and I'm not sure if I like how they brought Galvatron into the universe either. Hound kicked so much ass that he might as well have been fighting the vanilla Decepticons from the second and third movies. I'll be honest: seeing Ratchet die did make me feel a little sad, seeing as he was one of the more likable Autobots. Guess that's what happens when you give a character nothing important to do for two films.

    DINOBOTS THOUGH

Ironically, the underlined is how I feel about Amazing Spider-Man 1 & 2. I have no clue how you think the original two films "perverted the nature of the story," or think that the writing is not at least on the same level as the Amazing films...

Maybe we should just keep this in a different thread...
