Well now, after about a month of being dead, or the writer having too much work for his own good, Kross was back, albeit a little spacy, his gaze focused to see that he was in the sactuary of Crystallis. He narrowed his eyes as the brightness of its world's light burned his eyes. He remembered speaking with Ananta...But what then? He sighed and sat in one of the many seats. Speaking with a friend was nice but with Ananta, it was really uncomfortable with the fact that she broke his heart. It felt really awkward to see her again. Everyone else was married and had children of their own. What kind of legacy did he leave behind? Nothing.
The Warrior let his sword to his side as the man vanished. Only for him to reappear infront of him, spear raised and ready to kill. He raised up his shield and his sword went after, staring defiantly at the Lancer. As the two were about to make an earth shattering clash, steam suddenly made a wall in between the two, the source being Gold's summoned creatures, the combined water and fire created a distracting mist that the warrior could use to his advantage. Quickly, he sheathed his blade, there was no time to lose. Turning, he ran towards Gold and took his hand, attempting to pull him along so the two could escape."Let's go, quickly, I would rather not stay here for long!" He exclaimed to Gold.
Spoiler: Flashback A younger Kross stood infront of his master, having just ran another training course. Of course he would be tired and low on stamina. His master, Yen Sid stood infront of him, his head down and his eyes closed."Kross" He said, gaining the young boy's attention."Master, what's wrong?"He asked. "Do you know why we fight the darkness?" He asked Kross. Kross tilted his head at this, where did this come from? Of course, he had his own reasons to fight the darkness, so that no one else would have to suffer like he did. He slowly shook his head. Yen Sid turned to the moon crescent window, opening his eyes and staring at the stars."Do you see the stars in the sky? They say all of those twinkling dots in the sky are other worlds..and their light shines bright for all to see. When darkness consumes a world, or a person, the star blinks out, dies. Darkness brings about tragedies and death." He said."You mustn't forget that...however, darkness should not be hated for being misused..order must be maintained. Remember that Kross." Kross snapped out of his thoughts when Belle came over, watching her comfort the Beast. He smiled, she was the first in this world to not have a negative impression of the grumpy prince. He knew there was a soft side to the Beast. When she went to get first aid. The spark of darkness just a split second before the portal opened. It was like a slow motion movie. He turned, eyes widened as the headless horseman heartless jumped through and snatched up Belle. He summoned his keyblade and ran, he was so close, he swung his keyblade and struck the ground, the base forgiving to his keyblade and cracked a bit."No!" He yelled out, he didn't get the chance to even land a hit on the horseman. He pulled his keyblade out of the ground and spun on his heel, running towards the others. He heard what Krowley had said and nodded once."On the double, we gotta get there NOW!"He said, looking back to the others."Let's go."He said.
It seemed his attack did a great deal of damage to the Dark Thorn. Though it recovered and even went so far as to grab the beast and jump out. His honey brown eyes widened and he reached out, fixing to call out to the Beast when he saw the Beast fall, slamming into the balcony. He saw Luna run for the balcony and he saw Gaston climbing over it, preparing his knife to slay the prince. He saw Luna run and yell at Gaston to let the Beast go. He grit his teeth and he ran forward, sliding to a stop beside and reached out his arm infront of Luna."Wait, don't interfere.."He said, glancing over to the two, his eyes moving to observe the situation in silence. He didn't move. He would only move when the situation called for it.
Showing my potential for people who do not see it.
THis was it, the final strike. And it was his turn. Kross breathed in, concentrating his gaze on his allies. D'Dear was down and the others were counting on him to pull his weight. He brandished his keyblade, gripping the hilt tightly. 'Time to show them that I'm not just some child...' He thought to himself. He ran at the monster, He would be the one to risk himself, not just hang back and let his allies take that risk. He'd show them his strength, he would show them he wasn't weak. Time seemed to slow down for him. All his life, he had been made fun of and berated for being weak, and he thought getting the Keyblade would be the end of that. No, he still was weak in their eyes, a seemingly defenseless child. He grit his teeth and gave his cry, striking the monster with three hits, then jumped in the air and then dove down, slicing down with all of his might, the teeth of his keyblade striking the ground, slightly cracking it. He hopped back to join his allies. Kross used combo on Dark Thorn!
Kross was freed from the tar, ah, he was free, and ready to dish out the hurt again. He sharply eyed the Dark Thorn, brandishing his keyblade and bent a bit, then charged at the Dark Thorn and swung his keyblade in a series of four strikes. He then leaped back, backflipping to rejoin his allies."Oh here we go..good to be back in action."He said, grinning. Jimi used Combo on Dark Thorn!
While the spear embedding itself into the ground didn't jar the Warrior as badly as it could have, the imposing figure behind the throw made him stop and look up. THe giant man, almost twice his size, maybe even more stepped out to meet them. The man was attired in a very dark armor, blacks, greys and reds contrasted the warrior's blues and golds. He narrowed his eyes and drew his sword from his scabbard, shield at the ready and bravely faced the man down."Why do you stand in our way, Lancer? You are not like those fake beings...who are you and what do you want with us?"He asked, his stoic and devoid-of-emotion tone was cold, logical and calm. He stepped a little bit infront of Gold protectively, even with powerful creatures by his side, the boy was just that, a human boy and he didn't need to physically get involved in this. He pointed his sword at the giant man challengingly."All I need is this sword to defeat your spear, Lancer."He spoke, confidence surrounding him like an aura.
Kross grunted, enduring the hit and let the tip of his keyblade hit the ground, panting gently and glared at the Dark Thorn with a defiant expression. He straightened his back."I'm not dying here!" He shouted, lifting his keyblade up, a green light surrounded his body."Heal!" He cried out, healing himself. Kross used Cure on himself!
The warrior was right, it looked like Gold was like himself, an outsider. He heard the name of the creatures. Typhlosion..Azumarril, he was quiet for a moment, this was confusing to the stoic warrior. New Bark Town and Johto was not familiar to him either. He saw the hand held out to shake, and reluctantly took it, shaking it twice."I haven't a name, you may call me the Warrior of Light, I hail from the Kingdom of Cornelia, the Knight of Cosmos, the goddess of Harmony..it seems I have stumbled into yet another strange world."He said, turning to take his leave."It's not safe to talk here.."He said to Gold.
Kross experimentally tried moving his feet but to no avail. They were stuck, and until they got unstuck, he'd have to try different tactics. He was a mage, their specialty was long range attacking. He grit his teeth and aimed his keyblade up, then it sparked for a moment before thunder came down, with the full intention of frying the Dark Thorn while he was frozen in time."Shock!" He shouted out. Kross used thunder on Dark Thorn!
When the strange creature appeared to help him, breathing fire to singe the crystal spear men, The Warrior of Light was momentarily surprised, though he kept his charge, using his shield to knock away the crystal mannequins that dared stand in his way. He gave Gold a light grunt in response, acknowledging his plan. A diversion sounded good right now. A portal of darkness appeared behind Xigbar and the Warrior raised his sword to strike at the gun slinger, striking at nothing as Xigbar vanished, leaving little vapors of darkness in his wake. His forehead wrinkled in frustration. "He got away.."He murmured, standing up and sheathing his sword in the sheath on his side. Then he turned to the boy who summoned those monsters to attack his enemies, walking towards him."I suppose you're an outsider to this land as well."He surmized."Those monsters are powerful..where do you hail from?"He asked.
I'll replace Fearow with Altaria
I shall right it as needed
The Warrior of Light defeated the crystal fiend. The only problem was that this would lead to more enemies spawning. As much as he didn't want to, he would have to fight. The man spoke again and he turned to him, pointing his sword at the gun slinger. "I have no time to deal with you or your cronies. Tell me where I am."He said, but before he could make his threat clear, even more of those crystal beings began to saunter out of dark portals, wordlessly walking towards him. His eyes sternly sharpened as he looked at the summoner of these monsters. "Fine, it looks like I'm going to have to obtain my answers by force."The Nameless warrior said, slight annoyance laced his stoic tone. He flourished his sword to the side and brought his shield up, bending his knees and then charged into the crystal beings. He wasn't specifically targeting them however, he was targeting the summoner who brought them here, Xigbar.
Kross was mired in tar, he couldn't move and he gave a cry out as he was hit, heavy damage was done and as the tar vanished, his shoulders slouched and his keyblade became heavy. He shook the stars from his eyes, he had one chance to heal himself, but it was either him or the others. He lifted his keyblade up, but then aimed his Keyblade to D'dear, green light would sound D'Dear, he would slouch forward again, weakened by the loss of magic and his wounds. Kross used Cure on D'Dear!
His blade struck and shattered the crystal being. It was a one-strike and suspiciously easy. He held his blade up straight and then flourished it to his side. He then heard a mysterious voice and his blue eyes looked up, glancing around. Then his gaze drew to a dark portal materializing infront of him. He gripped his sword, wordlessly listening to the man's words. He took in the man's appearance, tied back black and grey hair, black coat. His gaze drew to the scar running down the man's face, the eyepatch, and the golden eye. He narrowed his eyes and gripped the hilt of his sword, was that a threat he just heard? "Whatever your type is up to, it can't be for good."He hissed calmly. He then turned his head to see the crystal mannequin slowly reform. He turned to it and frowned, persistent enemy..he didn't have time to fight. He needed to find the source of this anomaly and stop it. He pointed his sword at the walking spear-man."I'm defeating this fiend, and then I will come after you."He side-said to Xigbar. He gripped his shield and rushed the crystal man, swinging his shield and knocked the crystal into the air.
Saving Terra and using the crystals to end Chaos once and for all was the least of his problems. Even when he almost died, he managed to pull through for the planet he loved and the light of harmony he longed to protect. Now The Warrior of Light was in a different type of situation, a strange situation. Last he remembered, he was returning home, returning to the kingdom of Cornelia. He had recently woken up from what seemed like a long fall, a fall that could have killed him normally, but then again, a guy like him was not normal. The knight shrouded in blue made his way through the strangest forest he had ever been in. Giant mushrooms, in his travels, he had never seen such a sight. No, this was something different. His eyes immediately went to the carnivorous plant but the plant wasn't what caught his attention, it was the crystalline shards coming towards him. It passed by him, then reformed into something he couldn't discern. It was humanoid, having the features like a Mannequin than anything else. It started to approach him, shakingly and awkwardly and the Warrior could immediately tell that it was a threat. He reached to his side and drew the longswordfrom the side sheath that hung around his waist. With his sword in his right hand and the shield in his left, he pointed the sword towards the foul creature that dared to stand against him, only utterring three words as a prayer to both his sword and to Cosmos. "For the Light." He charged into battle.
