Suddenly, the sound of a music box drifted through the whole house and even wafted into the garden. The sound was hard to pinpoint, for it seemed to resonate through every wall and every room of the mansion. The wind outside began to pick up gradually as the melody played on, sending a spin chilling breeze through the hallways. It played on and on, slowly and agonizingly... Then, it finally approached the last measures of the song, and the music stopped all together. And so did the wind.

    Thud. Thud.

    Something was moving downstairs....

"Follow, sweet children... I'll show thee the way...."

    Thud. Thud.

Whatever it was was coming near the stairs to the second floor...

And that voice... It sounded like a little girl was singing it. She sounded tired, frightening even. Her voice continued to carry from downstairs...

"Though all the pain... And the sorrow..."

Thud. Thud. Thud. Thud. Thud. Thud. Thud.

That noise was making it way up the wooden steps now... The singing was dropping down to a loud whisper with every step it took to the top of the floor..

"Weep not, poor children... For life is this way..."

There was silence for a moment...

    "Murdering beauty and passions..."

A shrill of giggles resonates through the hallways of the upper floor. The giggles then turns into a shrill of cackling and laughing. The floor vibrates under everyone and a dark feeling begins to settle in...

"Run, run, as fast as you can..." the voice whispers in everyone's ear... The sound of insane giggling sounds throughout the hallway and then the sound of metal hitting against each other.

Elsie opened her eyes to find herself in a dark abyss once more. This time though, she had no fear. She felt like she was in complete control and ready for the next challenge. Andela was standing in front of her, resting most of her weight on her right leg and placed her hand there. She looked rather annoyed. "What?" Elsie raised one eyebrow while shrugging her shoulders, wondering why Andela looked at her like that. "What did I do?"

"What did you do? Elsie, your moping around costed us a valuable day of training." Seeing the sad look on Elsie's face, Andela found that already she couldn't be stern with her host. Andela was just nice like that sometimes. The angel sighed, shaking her head as she stood straight. "Cheer up. Tonight we will make up for it." Soon, the two of them were whisked away in a vision. They were back in the flowery meadow where Elsie met Andela the first time. The sun was out and shining, and everything was just beautiful. Elsie could even feel the warmth of the light on her shoulders as she looked around. "You feel the heat of the sun, don't you?" Andela asked with a smile. "As my host, you have the ability to control this heat." She held out her hand and it ignited with a flick of her wrist. It was a warm, golden glow Elsie observed, much different from any fire she had ever seen. "Yes Elsie, this is not normal earth fire," Andela explained as if reading Elsie's mind. "This is the fire of the sun. It can be powerful, dangerous, yet so beautiful and warm. Since we are the dawn, our fire will not be as strong as the sun itself. But still, use it incorrectly and you will bring great descru-"

"Yes, yes. I remember," Elsie said with a shake of her head. "We have to keep everything in balance, because more of one than the other will tip the scale and everything will go kaboom. The end."

Andela blinked, hardly believing she was interrupted. She cleared her throat, closing her hand to put out the flame. "You will learn eventually how to control this fire of the sun, Elsie. Once you do, you must be very careful..."

A vibration under her pillow startled Elsie out of her training sleep, and blinked a few times. The sun was out... It was already morning? Feeling something vibrate again and again under her, Elsie groaned and reached under her pillow to turn off her phone alarm. What? Did you think it was something else? You perverts. With a yawn, Elsie sat up in bed, her hair sticking out on all ends as if someone had stuck her head in a dyer. She looked down at herself, realizing that she had fallen asleep in her clothes.

"Ew, gross," she hissed, and then looked over to the other bed. She saw that Will had decided to join her for the night and was tucked away cutely under the bed sheets. He looked so flipping adorable as he slept. Elsie just wanted to pinch those little childish cheeks of his, but resisted the urge to do so. Instead, she climbed out of bed and pulled out a clean set of clothes and disappeared into the bathroom, trying to be as quiet as possible to not wake Will.

A little bit later and Elsie was on her way to the hospital where Kai and Brandon were. The girl was sure to leave a note for Will to let him know where she was and then left. She had her backpack with her with her writing supplies and other things. Half of her wished that she was here when the accident had happened, but the other half thought that was very childish and dumb to think of something like that. What could she had possibly done besides freak out and feel useless? She asked for directions to where Kai and Brandon were and then headed up in their direction. 'At least they didn't die,' she thought as she made her way up the stairs. 'That would have been...'

She shuddered as if a cold breeze had washed over her and then walked down the hallways, looking at all the room numbers to find the one Kai was in. Some doors were opened and she couldn't help but to see some of the patients within. Some looked very sick, others were tired, lonely, and it was all disheartening. Elsie hated hospitals. When she arrived at Kai's room, she knocked lightly on his door and then cracked it open. She saw Kai in his bed and smiled warmly. "Hey Kai, can I come in and bother you?"

The rest of the day was uneventful for Cora. She told Henrik about her training with Arariel and how difficult it was. Henrik told her to not let her angel too hard, but Cora felt like she didn't want to piss off the one she was hosting in her body. Or was that the other way around? She spent the rest of the day with the pair, making them brunch and chatting away about this and that. She could see the sadness in both of their eyes, knowing that the two of them were still in mourning about losing their children they haven't even seen. Cora could relate to that, even though it had been many years since the doctors ripped her stillborn child from her womb to save her life. She never got into the details of that event and instead focused on happier, meaningful things to talk about.

When it was dinner time, Cora took the couple to a wonderful restaurant in West Port (mostly because she didn't want to have to do any more dishes), and then when they got home, Cora had a drinking contest with Henrik. Of course, the alcohol hardly did anything to her at all. After she made sure her guests were comfortable, Cora disappeared in her room, read another chapter in her Jane Eyre novel, and then reluctantly, went to sleep. As soon as she passed out, she was met with Arariel in another training session that would last the whole night long.

It was a very, very long drive.... About twelve hours to be exact. It just reminded Elsie of being trapped in that storm shelter in Australia. She hated to be confined to one place for a very long time, it got on her nerves quickly. Nonetheless, Elsie made herself busy by doing many more writing prompts until her hand hurt. And even then she tried to write a bit more until she got car sick and had to look at the road for a while. Lauren didn't punch the car anymore, which was a good thing, she guessed. She wondered how the girl was going to get her pent up anger out though.

Soon, the gang arrived late at night, back to the hotel they were staying at previously. When they got there, Elsie learned that Brandon and Kai got in a car accident and were at the hospital recovering. Both were sore, but fine, which was a relief to her. Still, she was eager to see the both of them to make sure they were okay. She couldn't go right now like she wanted to because visiting hours were way over, but she made a note to go there first thing in the morning after waking up and getting ready for the day. After telling Will he could share a room with her or one of the others, Elsie made her way to her bed and flopped down, exhausted from the trip, and fell asleep.

No reply came to Analise when she called out for Basil. The garden was silent. The crickets weren't chirping and the wind was not blowing. It was as if the dream world was holding its breath, waiting for something to happen. But what? Were the servants playing a practical joke on the kids? Did they sleep in and forget that they had guests to attend to? But even then, little Basil wasn't about helping with the garden like he normally would have. Even though he was the quiet sort and couldn't reply to Analise anyways, it was still eerily silent.

    Hmmm... where to start...

First, who would name their kid Satan or Devil? Just kind of sad.

Second, people with multiple personality disorders usually have diverse personalities. Like super diverse. One minute they can be handing out flowers, and the next, they could think they're an ax murderer. Multiple personality disorders usually manifest when dramatic things happen in a victim's life. A personality will come out to "protect" their "host". For example, if they are trapped and threatened, a stronger personality will manifest itself and beat the living crap out of whoever is threatening them. And then if they walk into a childhood setting or experience something from their childhood, a personality of a child might emerge. But once they change back, they really don't have memory of what happened. Personalities can have different dialects, speak a different language, and just act totally different. Like Smeegle from Lord of the Rings (sort of).

Third, I would think that your character will be dead for ratting out students who disobey the rules with drugs, weapons, and whatnot. They don't have to be in a gang to be violent. Being in the drug world can bring you many enemies if you even mingle with it innocently.

Fourth, your definition of hallucinations is not really a hallucination. Seeing the world in a messed up perceptive happens to even the most normal of people. Hallucinations something like seeing a shadow of a man outside of your window but no one is there, or thinking that there's spiders crawling down your wall even though they're not there.

    Just... fix it... somehow...

"Oh..." Elsie watched as Lauren punched the door again and again. Maybe it was to relieve some pent up anger inside. At least the girl was considerate enough to not punch her. The door was probably crying from the blows it received, and Elsie knew that she would probably be bawling or screaming if Lauren decided to pound her. She decided it would probably be best to leave Lauren alone at the moment and let her run her rampage on the poor car door. She didn't know if words would soothe her or not. Then again, she doubted herself talking to Will ever again and looked what happened. "You like to draw?" Elsie asked, nodding her head to the sketchbook in Lauren's lap. She wasn't going to be nosy and ask why she decided to punch things. Elsie figured she would know Lauren in due time just like everyone else she met.

    Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.

The grandfather clock continued to march onward with the time. There was no light in the house; a cold draft wafted through the place as if a window was opened. The smell of breakfast was no where in the air. The twin maids weren't running around cleaning and dusting everything like usual and butler Charles was no where to be seen. The flowers in the vases were wilting and drooping, but Basil and Jonquil were no where around to change the dead ones for living ones.

Elsie packed her things up in the car and was seated by Lauren. Finally, they were on their way back to the others with Will in tow. This set her mind at ease and she watched the scenery go by in peace. Though she broke her usual tradition of doing a writing prompt this morning, she didn't mind. She gazed out the window, watching the beautiful scenery go by. No wonder why Cora wanted to stay here. It was all so nice and beautiful here in the land of Kiwis. Maybe someday she would have a vacation here when everything was over and done with. Elsie was brought out of her daydreaming when she heard something that sounded like an object being punched and heard Lauren exclaim in pain. Elsie looked over, her eyes wide open. "Lauren, what happened?" She was going to ask the obvious question Are you hurt but restrained herself from that. It was stupid, of course it would hurt! It sounded like maybe Lauren broke her hand. "What did the door do to you?"

Elsie listened to Will and nodded her head in understanding when he said he was trying to get his life together. He seemed like a small lad, but he was pretty mature for his age. Or what looked like his age. Elsie was dying to ask Will how old he really was, but Elsie remembered how annoyed she felt when people asked her for her age at many places. Even though she was twenty-one years old, sometimes she felt like she could pull off looking like a highschooler. It was actually a relief to talk about something normal for once instead of all this Fallen mumbo jumbo. "Heh, I had that same probably years ago, putting my life together, I mean. My parents wanted me to get a job, I wanted to stay home and just write stories, Dad got annoyed with me locking myself away form the world all the time, and boom. He got one of my stories published, and now writing it my job." Elsie was feeling more and more relaxed the more she talked with Will. He wasn't so bad as she thought he was. "So Will, have you lived here in Taupo all your life?" She might as well try to get to know this Fallen. She barely knew about everyone else and didn't know how to carry out many conversations with them. They all seemed grumpy and occupied with other things on their mind. Of course with the crisis of the world ending, she couldn't really blame them at all.

It was a dull, and quiet morning. The house seemed to be colder than usual, the wind outside wasn't even howling, and the moon was not shining. No servants were running around as usual and no one was bothering to wake up the children. Instead, a purple Hyacinth laid at the foot of everyone's bed. The beds of Ainsley and Kyla were still empty and untouched. They had no flowers on them like everyone else. The grandfather clock's bell rang to single it was 6 in the morning and continued to tick on. Not even the sound of cooking could be heard from the kitchen. It just all seemed so empty.

Cora nodded her head to Henrik. “I packed. Leaving things behind. No time to sell them." She wanted to get a move on as quick as possible. If war was fast approaching, they needed to be ready and soon. Arariel had embedded that in her mind over and over again. Though it was just the first night of training, she felt like she had been doing this for many years. Perhaps centuries. Why did the Fallen forget all this time? Why were memories suddenly flooding back into their minds now of all times? It seemed so abstract and strange. It was like they had one purpose in this life. Would the Fallen have their own bodies after all of this was over? Or would they still be enslaved to human vessels, going around for centuries trying to figure out what in the world to do next?

Sighing out, Cora pulled out her phone and told Henrik she was going to call Adam (since she only had his number to contact) and dialed him in. Maybe he knew what they were doing next. The longer they stayed in one place, the worse off everyone would be.

After hearing what Will had said, Elsie felt very foolish. How silly of her to think that Will would think less of her. It was strange, the explanation yes, but he seemed to have taken to it now. He was just trying to protect himself just in case they were crazy lunatics. She giggled when Will called her girly and shook her head. "I'm sorry, sometimes I just over think and it gets me to thinking of things that aren't actually true or there... You know?" She sighed and leaned back on the couch, just happy that Will was apologizing to her and told her that she was alright. "I was just worried. I'm new to this whole thing too believe it or not." She looked up at Will and patted the seat next to her on the couch, offering him a place to sit beside her. "Just a few days ago, I was trapped in a rain storm in Australia... I wanted to go back to Sydney, but it rained so much, there was this huge lake that made it impossible for cars to go through. And then after the rain water drained away, there was this earthquake that split this whole hotel I was staying at in half! And it led right to... Lauren's house... And it stopped close to her porch steps." Elsie shook her head, not believing her own words that were coming out of her mouth. "It was just so weird... Someone then told me I would be safer with this group. That's why I came along... Maybe I was afraid, but at the same time I love adventure. I love to write stories." She stopped herself and giggled. "I'm sorry, I ramble a lot." Andela was silent, listening to her mortal speak. She knew that Elsie had it in her. She was just ridiculously afraid over nothing. Silly humans.

Elsie watched as Will stood and then came over to her. Oh, he didn't seem so weirded out by her. How strange... It was like she was seeing a completely new and different person. He apologized for what had happened a few days ago and then he seemed to stare at her for a moment. He put his hands on his hips and then leaned in sort of close, but kept his distance, which made Elsie even more agitated.

"Alright, why are you so nervous"

"Um, why?" Elsie's eyes shifted away from Will's childlike ones, choosing to look at a vase that was close by. Oh that vase looked so lovely with its pale-greeness and fake flowers protruding out of it. "I thought I would scare you away again... I mean, the way you reacted, I felt like I was..." She sighed, not finding the right words. Kai was much easier to talk to than this guy. She wanted to say that she felt like she had no confidence in herself, that she was the new person and because she was new, she felt looked down on. And because she made Will run away, she felt as if she wasn't reliable for anyone. But she didn't want to tell all of that to someone she barely new. She could ramble on forever in her head, but that would only make her feel sad and more lonely. She found herself wishing back the old life she had weeks ago before all this; traveling around, writing books, not having to talk to barely anyone or worry about having a social life because how much she moved around. She felt better not being around so many people and having to get to know them. People were dumb and cruel.

Clearing her throat as well, Elsie forced herself to look at Will and gave a pleasant smile. "I guess there's no reason to be so nervous now... I heard you talked to Joslyn yesterday. She's a really sweet girl." Get the focus off of her, that seemed like a good goal right now.

Nothing had happened during the time that Elsie slept. Andela felt like Elsie wasn't in the right mind to train with her at the moment. As being intertwine with a human, especially this one, Andela had memories that were not hers embedded in her mind. Some were pleasant, and some were not. And those that were not had burned deeply within the Fallen as much as it was burned into Elsie. Elsie had been milling around for nearly all morning, not even pulling out her creative writing prompt book to work on or her laptop to do homework. She was just floating around, showered, ate some breakfast, but was staring mindlessly into space for a good few hours. Andela just had enough of this.

"Elsie Malone. You will get up right now and march down to the lobby and greet my brother like a warrior." Elsie groaned and rubbed her forehead, not so thrilled with it. "Stop feeling sorry for yourself, mortal. Wallowing around in sorrow is not becoming of you. You are outgoing, you are kind. You will get out of this room right now and go down and greet Will, or so help me I will set your whole body aflame... You will feel it, believe me."

"Alright already," Elsie muttered under her breath and pushed herself to stand up. Having a voice in the back of her mind was getting really annoying. It was as if she had turned into the Blue Beetle. At least her voice didn't tell her to incinerate everyone, it was just threatening to incinerate herself.

"I was not going to incinerate you," Andela miffed. Elsie sighed out under her breath and picked up her backpack, slinging it over one shoulder. Almost getting cold feet again, Elsie pushed herself to leave the room and walked downstairs. Soon she was at the lobby, glancing around worriedly. She really didn't want to face Will again after that first day, but by the sound of things, it went well. She spotted the little boy looking man and felt anxiety swell inside of her. "Elsie, you will not go back to your room. You will not leave this lobby. You are staying put." Not wanting to fight the Fallen within her, Elsie mustered some courage and walked over to Will. "Hey Will," Elsie hesitantly called out, waving at him. She sat a good distance from him on a couch that was set in front of the chair. She didn't want him screaming for mother again because of her. She cleared her throat. "How are you?"

Cora’s chest rose as she inhaled. Her eyes were closed and her feet were in a stance in such a way she was standing passed her shoulder width. Though she seemed steady as a rock her arms shook as she lifted her arms on either side of her bit by bit. She was showing signs of undergoing great strain as perspiration dripped down her face in little rivulets. She so badly wanted to stop, but Arariel was watching her extremely close.

Excellent,” the Fallen said, keeping her arms crossed as she observed the human before her. Cora was attempting to raise water on her right side and earth on her left side all at the same time. Introductions were cut short and skipped quickly to training. “Always keep a balance between water and earth. If you use too much of one, you will be a victim of extreme weakness. War is fast approaching. You must be ready for it, my vessel.

Cora hissed through her teeth as if she tried to say something in response to that. She had heard Arariel say this many times during their short time together, and it was becoming somewhat redundant. How long had they been going at this anyhow? It felt like it had been an eternity.

Arariel sensed something and took her eyes off of Cora, looking into the darkness. “Enough.” The Fallen’s fingers snapped and the water and earth were gone. Cora gasped and sank to her knees, resting her hands on them. Sweat was dripping off her forehead and her shoulders heaved as she struggled to catch her breath. “You must wake up,” Arariel stated, staring with ice cold eyes at Cora. “Train with this Henrik and Lei. They will make you stronger. But be wary. There is little time to rest…

Cora sat up on her mattress, panting and trembling. She had been asleep this whole time? But how? Her arms felt strained as if she tried to lift an elephant on her own and her muscles ached. Cora rubbed her cheek, only to find that she was drenched in sweat. She grimaced in disgust. “Yuck.” She forced herself to check the time on the phone and saw that it was nearly noon. “Bah!”

Despite the discomfort of moving, Cora got herself up, grabbing the clean set of clothing she had set out before she went to sleep and stormed to the shower. “Zoh zorry!” she called to Henrik and Iris as she made her way to the restroom. “I overzlepped. Zorry, zorry, zorry. I vill take quick shower and be out zoon!” Ten minutes later, she emerged out of the steamy room, all dressed in new and not so stinky clothes. “Zoh zorry! I vished to make breakfast, but I…” She trailed off and sighed, looking up at Henrik from under her towel that rested on her head. “Ve do more training zoon? Or ve leave zoon?” She didn't feel like discussing much about her training session with her Fallen. It exhausted her just thinking of it.

I know you guys have gotten attached to Hana and it would be sad to lose her and emotionally upsetting to everyone and the characters... But if she's alive, she's going to go through hell. She's going to probably suffer a lot. A story can continue with the death of a main character... Plus, the Fallen seem to gain their memories a little bit at a time...

This is a bad comparison, but it's like trying to keep a beloved pet alive even though they're extremely sick and suffering. You love them and you want them alive badly because they became a part of you. It's hard, but the best thing you can do for them is let them go...

I vote Hana to go to Heaven.

Cora watched in amazement as Henrik effortlessly raised only a few grains of sand and spun them around in the air like it was nothing. "You make it look zoh easy," she said with contempt. Focus on what she was feeling yesterday? Then again, emotions were so unstable. "Any more advice?" But even as she said it, she stretched out her hand, uncertain what to really do. She gazed at the sand, thinking back to yesterday. She felt hopeless, fear, but determined to do what she could. She inhaled deeply and searched deep within herself, trying to find the power she tapped into just yesterday-

Suddenly the sand in front of her exploded upward, causing Cora to cover her head. The sand rained down on the pair, the explosion of power gone.

"Voops..." Cora coughed and brushed the sand off of her.
