Is it legal to talk on the phone with a hands free set? I've never been sure. It does free your hands but you're still distracted... Not like it's illegal to drive with just one hand.

What I think most everyone is saying in here is that introducing creatures that show up in FF a lot (like Shiva or Ifrit, who are of course borrowed from mythology) would be fine, or simply using Final Fantasy characters as summons, like in Chain of Memories. However, the terms 'aeon' and 'esper' are just too significant within the pertinent game's mythology for KH to co-opt and redefine them. The term 'summon,' however, which is already present within the series, would be fine.

Well the point of the thread is that I haven't read the books, so I can't really speak from a position of knowledge here. A big part of my interest in the series is that it's being discussed quite a lot from a feminist perspective (sometimes positively and sometimes negatively). I hear a lot that the book becomes very much about the love triangle, more than perhaps about Katniss the character, in the final two books; I also hear that Katniss is relatively disinterested in the romantic conflicts and just kinda wants to go home. So I don't really know what's going on lol. It just seems odd to point out her lack of interest in choosing between guys as if it's a bad thing.

The most common issue with uploading GIFs to tumblr is file size. They're very picky about it. If you're posting just one gif, the allotted file size is 1MB. If it's within a photoset, it can be larger (2MB I believe). There are really no special formats to GIFs or anything, just things that affect the quality/file size. Try a gif you know is well below the file size limit and go from there.

I'm curious because I know Willa Holland has experience in acting with others (wasn't she on Gossip Girl?). Going from a situation where you can, like I said in my first post, play off the other people in the scene to a room with just you and a mic has to be a big adjustment. But then, I haven't seen her in anything, so she may just be a poor actress. I don't think that's the case, though.

I agree, I thought Willa Holland's voice itself was great for Aqua, but the delivery was terrible. As far as I know this is her first time voice acting (though please correct me if I'm wrong), so it may just be an adjustment, particularly if she's used to traditional acting where you can interact with and feed off of your costars. That said, I think BBS in general has pretty sorry voice acting, particularly Terra, but even Jesse McCartney, who is usually great, didn't sound quite right. I'm just as willing to blame the actors as the directors. If the actor isn't familiar with the plot of the game & series, or the tone of the scene, they may not know how to deliver the lines. It's the director's job to address that and to keep them going if it didn't sound right (or voice coach? idk).

Does anyone know if KH lines are typically recorded in groups (all the actors together) or all the actor's lines at once? Or if BBS had particularly rushed acting?

I agree with Below that it seems late in the game to introduce Final Fantasy creatures as another being within the KH universe (humanoids/Disney characters, Heartless, Nobodies, Unversed, Dream Eaters... Enough already). Further, the term "aeon" is very wrapped up in the lore & my this of FFX, which is not present in or compatible with that of Kingdom Hearts.

As others have said, though, the Summon system could use some innovation. Now that KH3 is integrating Disney rides into the gameplay, it would be nice to see equal/parallel treatment of Final Fantasy. I'd love to see something similar to summoning Cloud, where you could call in a "guest character," of sorts, to come help you in battle. It could tie in well with the series insistence on friendship, though the logistics are tricky. As far as I am aware, Squall lacks teleportation powers in KH. Having Sora adapt their fighting style for a bit, though, would be cool--like doing some martial arts and calling it a Tifa D-Link.
