    DAY 42/4DATEJUNE 18THLOCATIONCANDY STORE
    MOODCONTENT❤??NOTHINGOOC. . .

The group was out and about, and the trolley man, Carman, decided to give them a bit of a tour of Bentley, which made Bryan happy because he was pretty curious about this place. He had to admit, there weren't that many people out and about, but on a day like this, Bryan wouldn't want to be out, either.

Noëlle hung on to the sleeve of his shirt ( that was something she did a lot in their lives when she was nervous ) and he smiled at her, deciding to hold her hand to calm her down. He wondered what had her so riled up, but decided to ask when they were talking later.

The building they walked into smelled really sweet and made Bryan a little lightheaded, so he stayed close to his sister while they walked around a bit. He thought about that little while in the hallway, earlier, when Maria wasn't looking too good. He wondered what was wrong with her, but didn't really get the chance to ask before they had to leave. And then Erik had come, saying that he and the other three counselors needed to talk. About what? Erik didn't seem to like Bentley.

He sighed when he realized this still probably wasn't the right place to talk to Noëlle, so he decided to wait until the situation was more opportune and they were more . . . alone (?).

"You think they'll give us a tour?" he asked her.

    DAY 4 2/4DATE JUNE 18THLOCATION CANDY SHOP
    MOOD WARY ❤!! NOTHINGWEARING
    OOC * NARCISSISTIC
    S.

It seemed that Cane didn't want them in her inn anymore, so they were pretty much kicked out. Sophie had grabbed her things ( not that there was much to grab ) and headed out into the cool and foggy day with the other, keeping a close eye on Adrian and Pierce.

The others wanted to go exploring, which was fine and dandy with her, so long as they didn't linger around Bentley for too long. There was just . . .something about this place that didn't tick right. Either the residents were completely rude or they were too chipper. It was annoying and suspicious.

For example, the person who was leading them to a candy store. The Dreamers? No thank you -- but Sophie did like sweets; however, purchasing some from this town screamed 'BAD IDEA'. They probably use humans as ingredients to make the sweets. she thought to herself, feeling particularly morbid about this.

The group walked into the building that was oddly shaped like a jelly roll or something, and immediately Sophie broke off from the others, feeling a wave of strong nausea hit her. It smelled . . . sweet. As if someone had dropped a bomb of sprinkles, sparkles, unicorns, and rainbows, and it took Sophie a long ten minutes to get her bearings again and breath properly. When she was feeling better, she decided to hitch up to the third floor and see what was up there.

Hmm, there was a gate that blocked entry way. Maybe some of the making went on up there? Or something else. Maybe the slaughtering. With a sigh, she headed back down to the second floor.

She had to appreciate the assortment of everything and then found the samples. She wondered how everything tasted, but checking that sounded like a terrible idea, so she kept her hands to herself.

. . . There was something wrong with this place.

After the counselor left, Quentin remembered why he was there and turned toward Noëlle. He became worried all over again when he saw her face, and it showed on his. That's right. She was crying. The clinic . . . He would have gotten more angry speculating, so he stepped toward her instead.

He struggled for words. He didn't want to embarrass her, but he couldn't mask his concern. "Will you be okay?" He wanted to step into her room, but he didn't risk it. Not yet. He brushed a strand of her hair back and looked her in eye instead. She seemed distant despite his affections and replied that she was okay. He frowned, but backed off. Maybe later.

He bid her farewell and walked down the hall to his room. He made it without a fuss and called for someone to take his clothes to the wash. While getting undressed, he emptied his pockets and counted the things he had left. A few coins, a ruined MP3 player, and . . . A vial of dubious quality. He laughed and didn't stop for a good minute. It seemed this bottle would bring him back every time something happened at this former camp.

He handed his clothes off at the door and jumped into the shower. He felt much better when he got out and only then noticed the candles and continuous sweet smell in the room. He disregarded them. He picked up his Cupid's Brew and laid on the bed, thinking of which to use it on first. He entertained himself with thoughts of how Noëlle would act under its influence while waiting for his clothes to get back.

Their conversation was interrupted by a cracking voice, "Um - Bryan? Noëlle?" Bryan looked over his shoulder again and saw a girl with long, blonde hair. Maria was her name, and Bryan recognized her from the previous years at camp. She didn't look to good at all; Bryan frowned.

"Can someone tell me what's going on?" she asked, wincing.

"Maria . . . Are you alright?" Bryan asked, making his way over to her, "You don't look too good," He wondered what was wrong with her. She had gone to the clinic yesterday, hadn't she? He remembered seeing her there, for sure. "We're at the inn that couple led us to yesterday, don't you remember? The ferry sank and we all almost died . . ."

He heard other footsteps approaching and looked over Maria's shoulder to see a blushing Elisa in wet clothes. O - Oh . . . They were see-through. Bryan bit his lip, blushing as well, and returned his attention to the girl in front of him as Elisa made her way passed the group. She should really get into more dry clothing . . .

    DAY 4 1/4DATE JUNE 18THLOCATION INN / ROOM
    MOOD AMUSED❤!! NOTHINGWEARING
    OOC . . .

    S.

Sophie listened to Adrian explain the situation with his sister and wasn't at all surprised when he said Toni was dead. The only fault that girl's death had for Sophie was that she had lost one of her sources of amusements. But that was the great thing -- sources could always be replaced. There wasn't much sadness to be had from Sophie, nor lost love.

" . . . with my sister's carcass." She abstained from rolling her eyes. She understood the situation, but spilling out his feelings like that in public, and so quickly after it had happened, disgusted Sophie. She already didn't like this boy -- just as pathetic as his sister?

Quiet fell over the room and she looked over at Pierce, wondering what she thought about what he said. And then - "She would float . . ." It had been a bad idea for Sophie to start drinking her milk because she had nearly spit it out -- instead forcing it down her throat, and then letting out a laugh. And she didn't feel bad for it at all.

After laughing, she looked over at Adrian to gauge his reaction. "I'm going to disregard that last comment." Sophie rolled her eyes. Yeah, she hated him and didn't care for his disgusting tone at all. At least he was amusing her a little.

When she looked back at Pierce, the girl looked pale and Sophie frowned. "That was horrible of me."

"I got a good laugh out of it," Sophie said, "No harm, Pierce, no foul." But she was mostly saying that to get at Adrian. When he had said he'd 'forgiven her' the moment was suddenly over and it was like he didn't care about Toni anymore. Some brother, ahaha. Only caring when it was convenient for him? Maybe. She didn't answer his next question because she didn't care.

"Good morning, Tucker." Sophie said when he had come in, looking chipper as usual.

    "Mornin' kiddos."

Sophie looked when more people started pouring into the dining room for breakfast. "Good morning, Sir Patch." she greeted with a smile. Too much noise in here, now but Sophie didn't try to talk to the others. At least she had gotten to know Pierce a bit more.

    S.

"I'm fine," Pierce said too quickly, and Sophie thought she was lying. Before she could call her out on it -

    "Good day, ladies. Sleep well?"

Another voice entered the mix, and one that Sophie wasn't pleased to hear because it had interrupted their conversation. When she looked up to see who had joined them, she almost laughed.

It was that girl's brother, Adrian. Sophie hadn't seen Tonitrui in the inn at all, and assumed she had died. If that was true, then Adrian would probably be in a rather susceptible state that was just ripe for the picking.

"M - Morning." Pierce replied, seeming even more nervous, and Sophie raised an eyebrow, wondering what the change in mood was for. Probably because he just got here. "F - Fine. H - How did you s - sleep?" She guessed it wasn't odd for people to stammer when they were nervous. Sophie usually did her best to give people she was interested in the benefit of the doubt -- of course, that had failed her before, and she had still yet to learn her lesson.

"Well enough," Sophie replied. "Pierce and I share a room." She picked up her pen and began to skillfully twirl it between her fingers, "So Adrian, how is your sister? I haven't seen her around since the ferry." She didn't outwardly smile, as her face was curious, but she was interested in the sorry human's fate.

As the conversation continued, Sophie gathered that Pierce wasn't the best to continue carrying conversations, and her early thoughts of the girl mocking her were wiped clean.

"Uh, hah . . . Um, no, not really." That was actually a bit of a disappointment. Sophie pegged her as the singing type, though stage fright was probably something that got in her way a lot, "I'll sing along with things, when, um, no one is around, but I've never really tried to sing." It seemed that this was an embarrassing topic for Pierce, and Sophie wondered why. "It's hard enough to t - talk to people. Singing . . . It's - It's another whole feat." Stage fright, for sure.

"That's too bad," Sophie commented, slightly genuine, "Maybe one day you could sing for me."

"Um . . . What else do you do?" Pierce asked, and Sophie raised an eyebrow, "I mean . . . besides music. Other hobbies?"

Ah, this question. Sophie looked out the window and thought about it. It sure was a damper outside. She usually trekked carefully around this one, especially after the first time she had disclosed too much information.

"I write a lot, like to be outside . . . I also enjoy activities that have me active. I'm a fairly decent swimmer, which is one of the reasons I didn't drown yesterday." She almost felt sorry for the poor souls who did. Looking over at Pierce, Sophie internally frowned. "You seem unwell." she commented, "Are you okay?" Briefly, Sophie wondered if she was causing Pierce to be nervous, and the thought brought her a little pleasure.

The received smile at Sophie's effort did little for her spirits and she wondered if the other girl might be mocking her. Were that true, Sophie gave her more credit than she originally thought she would -- but Sophie doubted it.

"Piano and the flute, but primarily piano." Sophie watched Pierce's face darken as she seemed to realize something, "Oh . . . I guess I lost my flute yesterday."

. . . Oh, shit. Her cello. Her violin . . . A smooth expression remained on her face as a storm began to spread in her mind. Well, at least she had her personal instruments at home, and they were safe. "Aha . . . I suppose I lost my instruments too. Terrible business." She sounded calm, but was actually pretty pissed about the situation. "The cello, violin, and I also sing." she replied, "I can play a variety of instruments actually, but the cello is my forté."

Sophie sat down her fork and leaned back in her chair, fixing the black collar of her sleeveless shirt. After being so tired yesterday, it wasn't a wonder that she'd forgotten about her instruments, but it was still angering nonetheless. If someone really had sunk the ferry, she wanted to snap their neck.

"Do you sing, Pierce?" she then asked, trying to keep her mind from overflowing with anger.

It brought her a little satisfaction that there had been some small reaction to her comment. "Oh, um . . . Thanks. I was wearing it y - yesterday. I kinda, um . . . lost my back . . . and I didn't have my brush so I just . . . ah, tossed it up. Y - You look nice, too."

"B - Better than yesterday, I guess." she continued with a bit of a break in her speech, "And you?"

Sophie smiled at this, "I'm alive, and that's the most I could ask for." She prodded her chin with the fork, looking thoughtful, "I wonder how many people lost their special belongings between the sinking and the fire." She was verily hinting at Cupid's Brew, but she didn't expect anyone to pick up on it. "And . . . I have some feeling that we might not be leaving this island soon. It was convenient that the couple found us when they did."

She wondered who else was up and about in the inn -- and if any of them were dead because of the strange people here. She couldn't let that feeling of suspicion go, and if this place really was some sort of cultist town, that would be hilarious. With their luck as of late, she wouldn't be surprised.

"So Pierce . . ." she began again, not willing to let the conversation die just yet, "What sort of instrument do you play?"

Sophie continued to write in her journal until she heard footsteps joining the area. She finished the entry, "C'est la vie . . . For a brief moment, she thought about earlier, and pondered if she had been awake or not during that time. The thought hadn't really occurred to Sophie, but she doubted it.

The other girl shyly cleared her throat as Sophie sat down with a plate of food and the latter smiled. "G - Good morning . . . Sophie . . ."

Very shy, aren't you? Sophie thought to herself with a hint of a smile. "Good morning, Pierce." she replied. "I like your outfit and hair, it looks pretty." A smile filled her face, taking a bite out of her jelly and buttered toast.

    DAY 41/4DATEJUNE 18THLOCATIONINN
    MOODBUMBLING❤??NOTHINGOOC. . .

While waiting -- hoping -- for Noëlle to answer the door ( Maybe he had the wrong room number? ), he wondered which of them would go first; Quentin waking up by the sound of his knocking, or his sister answering the door.

After thinking about that, he didn't have to wonder much longer because the door opened and saw his sister, looking better than yesterday. Maybe she didn't have any nightmares last night? She seemed prone to them, and Bryan could usually tell when she did.

"Good morning!" he said, mustering a cheery smile. He moved to make room for her to step out of her room.

"Good morning, Bryan . . ." she greeted, sounding a little distracted. "Is . . . err . . . he okay?" She motioned to Quentin and Bryan looked down at the clearly-sleeping boy.

"He was just kinda . . . there." Bryan replied, rubbing the back of his neck and looking at him with a frown. "Do you know why he's in front of your door?" Not that he minded about that, but it was kind of weird. "Hey, kiddo," he said, bending down in front of him, "Wake up." he poked at his shoulder a few times.

He looked back up at his sister, waiting for Quentin to respond. "I - I . . . I wanted to talk to you today." he told her, trying to have a good resolve for it, "Here's probably not a good place, though . . . I think I saw some benches in the garden. There, in a little bit? You must be hungry, so you should definitely get something to eat downstairs."

"Hu - What?" Bryan looked back at Quentin to see that he looked around. "Oh. Oooh. Good morning . . . Noëlle, and you are . . . ?"

He smiled, "My name's Bryan," he told him, offering the boy his hand. Quentin looked at the hand for a moment, but took it anyway, looking reluctant. "I found you sleeping out here, are you okay?"

"I'm fine. I was just worried about her." He looked over the older boy. "Why are you here?"

Bryan raised his eyebrows, surprised that they were here for the same reason. "Same," he said with a laugh, "But I think a bed would have been more comfortable. You should definitely get yourself cleaned up, or you'll get sick in those clothes." He turned to Noëlle, "Meet me there after you eat?" he asked her.

    DAY 4 1/4DATE JUNE 18THLOCATION ROOM / DINING ROOM
    MOOD THOUGHTFUL❤!! NOTHINGWEARING !!
    OOC . . .

    S.

Slender fingers traced over the brand/tattoo that decorated her left collarbone. At the sight of it, Sophie sighed and turned away from viewing her nude body in the mirror. Some time after going to sleep, it seemed that someone had taken the liberty of cleaning her clothes for her, and so most everything was . . . dry. It only added to her dislike of the place, but at least she had clean clothes.

After dressing, Sophie wondered if Pierce had seen the mark, but decided it wasn't worth getting worried over. No use in hiding what can't be hid in the situation. She looked over at the sleeping girl and admired her face. From their past years together at camp, Sophie had gathered that she was a fearful, shy, scared-of-social-interaction kind of person. How did she manage sexual situations? She doubted the girl had even had any of those.

She removed a stray hair from Pierce's face and smiled mischievously.

Too early to prod at her in her sleep. Sophie decided she would get to know her first before trying anything too drastic.

What were they supposed to do now, she wondered? Sophie wouldn't be able to contact anyone outside this private island because her phone was dancing in hell, and she had a feeling the natives wouldn't do much for her with communication. The situation was both a blessing and a curse; on one hand, she didn't have to go home to see her parents ( living in a big house meant she never really had to see them anyway ), on the other, she would be making her beloved worry. Beloved. Ahaha. What a joke.

Sophie's face didn't brighten up as it did when she laughed.

The too-sweet smell of pastries baking was lightening her head a little. Why did everything around here smell so damned sweet? It was like they were trying to cover up a more foul smell ( one created by foul activities ) by drenching this place in a grandmother's sweetshop/bakery perfume. Either way, it made her hungry. Before leaving her room, she dried off her black book and found ( "What a pleasant surprise." ) that she had put it in a ziplock bag; both her special pen and her book were safe from the water.

Both in hand, Sophie traversed down the stairs and into the inn's dining room, flipping open her book and beginning to write.

    June 18th, 2013 A foul situation

It seems that I won't be returning home for a while, which is both a good and a bad thing. I have a feeling my beloved already began to miss me from the day I left. Let they be in wanting, that's more fun for me.

I had expected to spend my summer at Camp, but it seems that fate has different plans for me and a few other people. Two bad situations happening in a succession? If I didn't know better, I'd take a gander and say they were planned. By whom? My money might be on someone like Garth. But no, he has always been a relatively dependable man.

They were saying that a cigarette was the start of the fire. That could mean one of two things: One, the cigarette was dropped by someone on purpose, and they had meant to put it out ( or perhaps not ), but it spread instead, or Two, the cigarette was dropped by accident and the person was so stunned at what was happening that they let the fire spread out of not knowing what to do.

I'm currently leaning towards two. It seems that it really would be an accident - could anyone hate camp that much? Coming is completely voluntary, so I can't see anyone hating it. The list of people seems to go on to who it could be, but it would be good not to dwell on it.

Moving on . . . I was pleased to see that my little vial was relatively undamaged by the ferry sinking. I was almost afraid it would be lost, because I paid a good bit of money for it, and I really would like to use it. I don't know what the effects/affects of it are. A true love potion? I find that hard to believe. It might have something to do with a strong infatuation, rather than true love - but people will buy into anything, won't they?

I have a few candidates for which I would use it on. I don't particularly like anyone in the way that the potion might call for - that is not how I play the game. There is one particular boy right now, he is of a little interest to me, but is more unnerving than anything else. It's annoying. He probably doesn't know that he would be able to get to me if he tried hard enough, and I don't intend for him to find out. I play with him, not the other way around.

    C'est la vie . . . I shall write again soon.

    MOODSIGH❤??NOTHINGOOC. . .

It was early by the time Bryan woke up, and it surprised him a little; he expected to wake up at least during the late morning because of all the craziness taking the energy out of him yesterday. It was still hard to believe that the ferry tipped over! What were they supposed to do now? How were they supposed to get home? He wondered how worried mom was and if . . . No. He shook his head. There was no point in thinking about that. It usually only made him angry.

Bryan looked across the clothes he had laid out over night to dry and picked something that wasn't still a little wet. Eventually, he settled for a ashen green shirt, khaki cargo shorts, and dark gray Converse. He left his room and trotted down the stairs to the front desk.

"Good morning," he greeted, smiling at the girl named Cane. She just looked at him and he fumbled a little under her somewhat-harsh gaze, "E - Err . . . Could you tell me Noëlle Chamber's room number?" Bryan averted his vivid green eyes from meeting hers. She didn't seem to be in such a good mood.

After getting the room number, he trekked back upstairs and walked down the appropriate hallway, only to see someone was sitting in front of the door. Bryan frowned. What the heck . . . Oh, it was that boy that was talking to Noëlle yesterday in the clinic. Why the heck is he sitting out here? Maybe he . . . shared this room with Noëlle and she locked him out? The thought made Bryan laugh a little. It did seem like something his sister would do . . .

With a shrug and then a sigh, Bryan knocked at the door, hoping his sister was willing to see him.

After sending Sophie to her room ( she'd only been wearing a towel, christ! ) and then the other campers to their rooms, Bryan headed up to his own, wondering what he was going to do about clothing tomorrow. Eugh, speaking of clothes, his were all dirty . . .

He headed to the shower for a hot one and then slipped into some boxers that weren't sopping wet. With a sigh, he wondered if he'd get the chance to talk to his sister tomorrow.

She had been sleepy anyway, and when she went up the stairs and walked down the hall, she found . . . Quentin? He was leaning back against the wall, next to one of the rooms. Sophie walked over to him and bent down, realizing that he was asleep. Out here? What a weird kid. she thought to herself, unconsciously poking at his forehead. He really was a handsome boy. It would be an interesting experience to sleep with him. Was he a virgin? Sophie could usually tell, but it seemed a bit different with this one.

Sophie smiled slyly and leaned into him. "I'm interested in you," she softly whispered into his ear. "You should be scared."

When she was bored of the sleeping boy ( which was about five seconds later ), Sophie entered her room, getting ready to strip her towel when she saw a girl sitting on the second bed of the room. Sophie immediately felt irritated at having to share a room, but when realizing who it was . . . She smiled. Like most recent things, Sophie couldn't have planned this better herself.

"Good evening, Pierce," she said, making her way over the edge of her bed, "I would have dressed more appropriately if I'd known I'd be sharing a room with someone." That was a lie, but it was nice to say, anyway. Not to mention, Pierce wasn't much more dressed either, which pleased Sophie.

She was sleepy, and there would be tomorrow to talk to Pierce and get to . . . know her more. Sophie slipped under her covers, removed her towel ( she often slept nude anyway ), and fell fast asleep.

Quentin noticed that the doctors had just called for her, but a girl beside her jumped up to take her place. Noëlle seemed startled by it and didn't know to do. He didn't recognize her, but he was grateful. Noëlle turned toward him instead. She smiled. That's better.

"Quentin. Yeah, I'm okay. Just a little . . . Shaken up. I don't know, it's been a long day. Besides my arm, I think I'm alright . . ." He looked at her arm again and was tempted to pull up her sleeve. "What about you?" He smiled back and bowed slightly, but she seemed distracted.

"As you see me. I'm fine except for losing my things . . ." He trailed off and began to frown. She was biting her lip. Definitely upset. Was she lying? He followed her eyes and saw a girl entering a room with a doctor. It seemed innocent enough at first glance, but anything that worried his girls worried him. "What's wrong?"

She shrugged, clearly not wanting to talk about it. He didn't pry. A few minutes passed before the doctor came out and called for her again. She went in this time. He stepped back outside and waited for her.

When she came back out, she was walking briskly and looked extremely unhappy. He looked back at the clinic with disgust. What did you do to her? When he turned back to follow his girl, she was already inside the inn, getting her key from Cane. He ran over, but she ran up the stairs. He called out to her as she entered her room, but she either didn't hear or ignored it.

He tried to open the door, but it was locked by the time he got there. He raised his hand to knock, but heard something and reconsidered. Is she crying? What the hell did they do?! His mind reeled as it ran through the possibilities. He didn't know what to do with a crying girl in any of them. It took him several minutes to stop fidgeting. Eventually, he decided it didn't matter and opted to sit in font of her door.

I'll wait until she stops crying, then ask to come in. He listened to the sound of her sobbing breaths and counted the minutes. It would have peaceful if for the crying. He closed his eyes and breathed in the sweet scent of the hallway. It was making him sleepy. At least she's safe . . . He listened, but she didn't stop crying. He was alseep before he got to thirty.

    DAY 33/4DATEJUNE 17THLOCATIONCLINIC / INN
    MOODTIRED / DOWN / EMBARRASSED❤??NOTHINGOOC. . .

The bandage wrapped tightly around Bryan's forehead had been anything but unnoticeable. He sighed. The ferry flipping thing had been completely awful, and he was still a little shaken up, but he took the time to comfort some of the others before and after being treated.

The only one he hadn't talked to . . . Bryan couldn't help but feel like Noëlle was avoiding him . . . and he couldn't help but feel bad. Was she mad at him? He couldn't think of why. The thoughts and worries just made him feel dejected and a little worthless that he couldn't protect or save her. She probably hated him. He wouldn't blame her . . .

He thought he had found the perfect opportunity to talk to her, but before he did, another boy appeared, asking her if she was alright. Bryan faltered and frowned. I guess I can try some other time . . .

The adults were nice and pleasant to be around, and there was nothing he liked better than talking to a few of them. They did seem a little out of the ordinary, but most people were so he didn't pay attention to it.

With a yawn, Bryan made his way back to the inn and found the dining room to ask for a snack. One of the cooks gave him an apple to munch on, and he twirled a seat to sit in and rest for a bit. A pair of footsteps entered the room and when Bryan looked up, he saw a pale-skinned Sophie wrapped in a fluffy white towel. His face went red as she got an apple from the cook, too.

"S - Sophie," he said, jumbling her name, "You should really put more clothes o - on . . . You're gonna get sick!"

She shrugged him off and ate the apple, soon asking for a second one.

Bryan tried not to pay attention to the scantily dressed girl. She looked bored -- did she really not care about only wearing a towel in public?!

As he munched on a banana, the day was starting to get to him. He wanted to look for his sister, but he was afraid that she might not want to see him . . . He couldn't believe how things were turning out; the forest fire and the ferry sinking, back to back. If he didn't know better, he'd say this was some kind of divine plan!

I sure wish I had my phone . . . Noëlle hadn't messaged him back, which only boost his fears -- but he took a little comfort in knowing that . . . well, all of their phones were probably kaput.
