Sarah inspected a dead student in the tunnels, she confirmed their death by shooting them two more times to be safe before returning to her fellow conspirators “This is your fault Nadine!” Sarah shouted “You just had to blabber on didn’t you?” she complained “And now they have the stone, this is not acceptable, would it have killed any of you to try and stop the students from running away?” Her anger was played out well and convincingly, the others would believe she was angry when she was almost jumping for joy. “We should get going” Alastair said to Kendric “We can split up once we reach the surface, but in these tunnels we are the ones at a disadvantaged, they will probably know the tunnel layouts and we can only fight a few at a time due to the size of the tunnels and the fact that not all of us are fighters” Alastair wondered to himself how they actually would escape, “We could always get an elemental to use magic to dig up?” he said to himself as he kept pacing. “Any ideas anyone?” Alastair asked as he came up with no ideas as to how to escape the tunnels. They would have to be quick, the adults were sure to be after them soon if the spell had worn off and his own mother had been deadly even with the spell active.
Alastair was surprised when Eins entered "Oh" Alastair could be surprised "Well, I'm Alastair, this is Vitan and Suri" he said introducing the other two "And who are you?" he asked Eins.
Robert created a barrier around himself. But before he or Rako could continue their fight the magic circle above the academy disappeared. In its place was a massive rift in dimensions. For a few minutes it did nothing, then a massive tidal wave of darkness came crashing down, engulfing Robert and Rako as it spread threw out the academy, killing the creatures and destroying the academy and the surrounding lands. After it was done the land was flat with white flowers blooming across it, there was no land marks, no hills, lakes or ruins, just flat land. The students and teachers that Robert Teleported away reappeared in the field, about 21 survivors. Roughly in the position they had been standing when they vanished. Meanwhile Rako and Robert were teleported to two different random locations.
Robert was ready for the attack, he was able to keep dodging both attacks until an opening appeared, it was when Rako slashed down, as the blade went down Robert stood on top of the blade, pinning it on the ground and leaving Rako open on one side. Robert increased the barrier on one hand and punched Rako, it probably wouldn't hurt and there was a good chance Rako wouldn't flinch but Robert was sending a message more then anything. Rako wasn't going to die here, Robert knew that.
"Its okay, they never seem like demons until its too late" Alastair said "So what are your plans? Are you two together or just randomly meet up?" Alastair asked curiously "If you two want you can travel with me"
"You, dead" Robert said casually as he took a fighting stance "I know I know, I have a lot of work ahead of me, you don't die easily, I am aware of it. But there is a first for everything" Robert said using his creation magic to create a barrier around his body to combat Rako's primary absorbing ability. Where ever Rako grabbed him the barrier would focus there and repulse the demon.
Robert sensed the energy starting to build up “We are out of time” he said as he used his time magic to teleport Nny away, along with the few remaining students including Mixt. Meanwhile on the roof “No promises” the man chuckled as he flew up. The gathered formed into a magic circle, at the centre of the circle was a dimensional rift. As the man flew up Robert finally got to the roof “So it was you” he said to Rako, he also noticed the man flying up but didn’t have time to acknowledge him.
"No" Robert said as he turned Silvern into a bladed staff and cut the heads off two creatures before turning it back into a normal sword and stabbing another in the head, all the creatures in that corridor were dead. The bodies of the ones Robert killed turned to ash while the ones Nny took down started regenerating, Robert finished them off to make sure they stayed down. Robert suddenly held Nny against the wall and was ready to stab him with Silvern "Have they injured you?" Robert asked, his voice emotionless and his expression plain, as if he was used to all the fighting. "I am only being honest" the Man said as energy started to gather slowly at the top of the academy were the two stood.
Robert was deep in the academy, he had just defeated another creature, destroying its body with the rifle he took without a second thought. He dropped the rifle since it ran out of ammo and opened a classroom door, inside was about six students cowering in fear. Robert knelt in front of them “It’s okay, you’re going to be okay” he said as he used time magic to send them to safety, as soon as he did one of the creatures came up behind him and went to strike him, without hesitation Robert summoned Silvern as a sword, spun around and sliced the creature into pieces, the unique attributes of Silvern destroyed the body similar to how the rifle did. “Well I cheated a little, so its stand 22-0” the man said “And what do you mean a mere human? We have been over this, I am far more than any human or demon or god” the man said standing up.
"That low?" The man asked surprised "Who am I kidding, they will be lucky to have ten, but seeing as you went low, I will go high, 21 or higher" he said as the whole academy was engulfed by a light blue glow "Don't forget you owe from the last bet"
Atop of the academy a cloaked man sat on the roof, he hummed a lullaby to himself as the sound of battle started to grow lower. "Its about time, taking bets for how many survivors" he said to the man standing behind him as he stopped humming.
Mixt and Nny’s position was starting to be surrounded, the number of creatures never dwindled, only increased as more and more were created from their victims. The path between Allen and Shero became more and more chaotic as the fight came closer and closer. What teachers could tried to organize the students but it was too little too late. The Creatures broke through and started slaughtering the students, the dorm hallways were filled with chaotic battle.
The entrance doors were gone, smashed to pieces, whatever had done it had gone further into the academy, leaving a trail of injured behind. Slowly the injured started to change, their eyes began to glow yellow, their skin darkened to pitch black and their hands changed into sharp claws, the screams of those transforming could be heard threw out the academy. As soon as one finished transforming he would go on and attack others, starting the whole cycle again. The academy was now awake, in confusion as these new creates swarmed the unprepared students and teachers. Each time they were attacked the creatures quickly regenerated and adapted to the attack.
"He is a demon, thus he won't be travelling with us anymore" Alastair said bluntly "By the way, I'm Alastair Trios, who are you two?" Alastair asked, realizing he didn't actually know their names, or if he did he didn't remember them.
Meanwhile outside the academy entrance a group of dark knights arrived, the academy security blocked them off and an argument erupted, but before the violence could start a loud bang echoed threw the academy, the Knights and Guards were sent flying as dust obscured the area, a few seconds later it began, screaming as one by one the Knights and Guards were killed, and what ever did it entered the academy.
Robert inspected the rifle closer "Its an older model, but still shouldn't exist for another thirty years" Robert said handle the Rifle with familiarity "And that armour is the same, if this war kicks off it will be one sided with this tech. They probably have no idea what they are now capable of" Robert said as he stood up, carrying the rifle in both hands "I say its time to leave" he said calmly as he walked away.
“Yeah, it’s funny, you push my food onto the ground, you get a meal for a month, you try and kill me and I save your life, let’s stop all that” Alastair said as he entered the Inn, he took Vitan to the room Suri had got them and laid Vitan down on the bed “How are you two feeling?” Alastair asked as he was concerned that the day’s events may be too much for the two of them.
"Yeap, soon" Robert said as he stopped leaning and stood up straight. Just as he did an armed guard came around the corner, before anyone could react Robert summoned his weapon in the form of a sword and decapitated the man without a second thought. The guard at first looked like a normal guard but as he died is armour changed and a massive rifle appeared in his hands as his dead body dropped to the floor "He's here for the new prince" Robert said examining the body "I thought so" he said as he inspected the Armour and Rifle.
Alastair smirked as he cleaned his blade and sheathed it, this girl was crafty even if she didn’t know it, and he couldn’t help but be impressed and admire her for it. “If I stabbed you in a last ditch attempt you could kill me as well, or while my blade is stuck in your body that filth will have a perfect chance to finish me, and I seriously doubt those two would just stand by and let me kill an innocent person, or let me get away with it” Alastair said as he turned around and picked up Vitan “That demon is your responsibility, anyone who dies by its hands is on you, and you alone” he said as he left the monastery, taking Vitan with him. He headed to the inn he passed on the way in.
Alastair’s attack was deflected but he spun around and almost stabbed the girl, he stopped himself “Out of my way” he said coldly and quietly “What do you know of tragedy caused by demons? It was demons who destroyed the first human empire, they took the people as slaves and left the land as a frozen wasteland, it was demons that almost killed off the dragons, and it was demons that destroyed their own creators. History has shown over and over that they are monster better to be put down then left to live. Anytime a demon is left to roam good innocent people die, trust me on that” Alastair said coldly, though bits of anger slipped through as he spoke “Now move aside or I will make you move!” Alastair yelled.
