Microsoft rushed to release Vista, it had problems until the service pack. There are very few problems with 8 in comparison to Vista's launch, it's a pretty solid os.

Even if it's a shorter season this year I'm looking forward to it.
They have never announced a season two. There were rumors that there was going to be one because a magazine said they had a "special announcement" which people were hoping was a season two, but it was actually for the winged Kanade figurine. Honestly I don't see a sequel working all that great, but I would love to see an anime adaptation of the Heaven's Door manga which is a prequel to the anime series. I would recommend checking that out if you haven't already read it.
