This went on for around two and a half hours because of Nick getting off topic so much! And i couldn't really reduce it much more because it would ruin the flow. He may have a sexy voice, but his on-topicness fails.
Basically this. I've not played the game. I'm stating what i've seen in this video you posted not the whole thing, i never tried to include the rest of it because i can't judge it properly unless i've played it. So only on this one video you posted i'm saying that the boss fight is easy, repetitive patterned and not a challenge. And that's only from what i've seen not what i've played. I'm not disagreeing with you there. My point, which you are missing or not taking into account, is that this is mainstream and typical of a giant boss fight in action games. Don't try and blame DmC like they're the only game that does this when i know many other games to do this type of things with giant boss fight enemies, and have done over countless years. I'm sure DmC has flaws, what i'm saying is that this particular flaw is barely one at all, especially one to get so annoyed over. Otherwise 90% of the action games out there deserve to have their own threads made and ranted about how terrible of a game they are.
See I would be accepting that this could blow over but Mass Effect 3 is still being brought up as being a terrible game by people over the flawed ending which means almost a year of moaning about it even after ignoring the rest of the games quality and the alternate ending the fans were given. It showed me that no matter what you do to a game series, people won't shut up about stuff they hate no matter how good tha game can be for other people. The argument for people liking DmC is:
...books are as simple as reading them. Catcher in the Rye is no exception and isn't even that tough of a book to comprehend in my experience. How do you make it more difficult to read. All my original point was that giant bosses in games rely on simply hit the weakpoints after he does a round of attacks. Some games do it slightly differently but it's all pretty much the same concept. And what i was trying to inply is that DmC isn't the only game to do this, it's not the first, won't be the last. It feels like your looking for new excuses for people to hate it when really you should be getting pissed at every game that has easy and short boss battles.
I've seen Hana and this may be true. But honestly the lack of a lot dialogue didn't help that film's development for a rather plain character. I'm not going to be too entertained, personally, of an hour and a half of almost a complete lack of dialogue. You can get away with it in a game with a much better effect, a film is another matter. But again, we'll see.

Eh, I can't see this as a film. Films rely on dialogue, who will Wanda talk to, having a voiced Wanda will ruin his character.... Just don't see this kind of thing as movie worthy. Maybe a cartoon mini series but a full blow movie, can't see it. Well will have to wait and see if it hits the light of day.
Hit the neck, avoid the big attacks. Hello simple boss battle. Not to mention Darkside, the Titans and all the other big bosses in the KH game. God of War has been the only game series to do it right. Oh and of course Shadow of the Colussus but that doesn't count as a hack n slash to me.

Do have to admit, the boss could've not received so much damage so quick. But really, giant bosses in hack and slash games are usually boringly simple to beat with weakpoints. This is not unique.
