It's not for me. It's for anyone else that feels that they might want to use something faster or closer to the site. I'm fine with the way it is right now. It's just asking if anybody else wants it.
It would be more of a Facebook style chat, in which only the people you follow (or if they follow you) can start a chat with you. It wouldn't just be a chat pool filled with every member online. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Looking at Nate's link, I guess this will be a shoutbox. That's not what I had in mind, but if anybody else is for it, then okay. There's also the problem that some people don't have Skype, and they shouldn't be obligated to make an account if they want to talk with any member.
Thought I'd get more views here, since there is a majority of members who like to sit in the Spam Zone, waiting for action. (Not me.) It is a legitimate suggestion. If you feel it belongs in the Forum Suggestion section, then by all means, move it.
Could this possibly be done with Xenforo? I still think it would be a good idea, and a much better alternative to visitor messages. Anybody for or against it?
