master of keyblades, everyone isn't in the tent. Holden and Fladre are with the girl in the tent, but they'd left Petal and Night outside.
Oh. Oh. Um...Yeah. I'll reply this afternoon. Hopefully. I'll try.
Guilty as charged.
ToD below?
:o Wow, DT, you're up early. Anyway, on terms of nicknames I think people often shorten names to make them more individualised. For example, quite often if someone has 'kingdom' in their name like Krown's was 'kingdomcrown' or Hearts is 'kingdomhearts503', as that is so common on this site and it makes thier name too long to make people bother saying the whole name. Also like with me I'm known as 'Midnight' or 'Midny' (got Christhor to thank for that one) which works as there are a few other 'Star's on the site and it is also the start of my name that stands out. I think Midnight is a more formal version where as Midny is more personilised for friends. Though I've noticed a lot of people call me Midny of late, I think simply because they see other people calling me that and follow suit.
Petal looked up at Night, "Oh hey." She smiled quietly, "Yeah, she woke up. Quite funny really, she seemed to think our powers and stuff were just an act, none of them real. She seemed to be quite amazed when we told her otherwise. But she didn't turn on me, she didn't call me a freak. Gives me hope, you know, that maybe these are different. Maybe they'll respect us as people instead of just freaks." She trailed off a little, a distant smile on her face before snapping back to reality. "But as I was saying, she told Holden his powers were just smoke and mirrors. So funny. He reacted by giving her a demonstration, you know his vanishing and appearing act as he corrected her. He can be quite intimidating when he wants to be. But then he touched her and they vanished off to god knows where, leaving me alone. Typical. Just as things were getting interesting too." There was a touch of annoyance in her voice as she said this but she was still smiling. She shook her head as she looked at Night, "Anyway did you find anything when you investigated those voices? What was it?" She looked with genuine interest, ever since they came to this place things had suddenly started happening. If that was a good or a bad thing, she did not know but for now she was just willing to go with the flow of things.
*raises hand* I'll come~
Ella blinked a few times as what the girl had said sunk in, she hadn't turned on her and called her a freak. Maybe these people were different after all, she felt hope was over her and a grin spread across her face. She'd instead compared to a good version of a super villian and called her powers amazing, that was a definate improvement. "Oh, really? You think so? Well I guess that's one way of looking at it." She quite liked the girl but as emphasised by what she said next, she really had no idea about them. As she made the comment about Holden's powers, Petal had to do everything she could not to laugh. This girl was clueless. She watched Holden to see how he'd react and he did not disappoint. She had to look fast to keep up with her friend, she had to appriciate he could really be quite intimidating when he wanted to be. She finally gave into laughter as she watched him until they both vanished. She carried on laughing for a few moments but as they didn't reappear straight away she stopped and sighed. "Oh come on!" She said to the empty air, she hated being left out and missing all the fun. This was the most fun she'd had in a while.
Thanks, just be careful not to powerplay later on, all the chara's should roughly be at the same strength as eachother at any point. But yeah, sounds good.
? Right... He fixed it for you? And why have you got it in your sig if you don't know what it means? It could mean absolutely anything. Is it a referance to something?
Ah, well then it's my second language. I can speak it almost fluently. Btw can I ask what the maths in your sig means? OR to the power of two times the square root of Chlorine?
Pretty much this, although I can talk nonsense quite well and I'm pretty sure some of my physics/chem/maths conversations sound like another language.
Ella smiled in relief as the girl came around and she could tell that her little flower had done it's job. She'd been dreading it not working as she really wouldn't know what to do. At least now the wouldn't have to worry about hiding her anymore, she did not want the ringmasters to find them with this girl. She wasn't sure they'd done anything wrong but she didn't know how they'd react to it. She was in no hurry to get on their bad side. She watched the girl curiously as she answered Holden's questions. So she had just come to get their autographs? The concept of this was alien to her and she did not know why anyone would sneak back after the show to do that. She seemed innocent enough anyway, she probably got a lot more than she'd bargained for when she went looking for them. The girl's question, however took Petal completely by suprise, "What? Oh, um, yeah, why?" She answered, only afterwards wondering if that had been the right thing to say. It sounded like the girl thought what they did was all an act, none of it was real, she couldn't be more wrong. She glanced at Holden, should she have said it was all an act? The girl would probably think she was even more of a freak now. But then again, she didn't really want to lie and the truth was more spectacular. Either way, it was a little late now and the flower she'd just given her couldn't have been a trick. If she was to do her research, she'd find that you wouldn't find that flower growing of it's own accord there, the climate was all wrong. That particular flower only grew naturally on a small island, miles away from an human habitation. And it was fairly clear that the flower had been freshly picked only moments earlier. She probably should of choosen something more common but that was a favourite of hers and it was quite effective.
So I can have Luke? ^,^ Although I'm still devided if I should have him, I'm not sure I can do him justice. Especially his geniusness.
Impressions? Black & White or Colour? Would you go sky diving? Do you prefer sweet or savoury? One word to describe yourself? Dance with me? What would you like to be remembered for? Wild or Tame? Are you a dreamer? End with a quiet bow or a bang?
Petal smiled in delight as she saw the girl finally start to come round, "Woah, careful there, not so fast. You need to take it easy." She crouched down to be on level with her, giving her a friendly smile. She wanted to appear as friendly and not intimidating as possible. The girl freaking out again on them was the last thing they needed. She flicked her finger and out of sight of the girl, not wanting to freak her out, a small flower grew out of the ground. She carefully picked the flower and passed it to Aki, "Here, smell this. It'll make you feel better. Are you alright?" She asked actually really concerned about how the girl was. If she was bad then she really didn't know what they'd do.
Kind of, your name rings a bell. Anyway Welcome Back! ^,^ Staying this time?
Posted ^,^ I should say it is not required to do a really long post. We'd love it if you do or even as a one off to introduce your character but don't feel pressured into it. Just do your best and preferably try to avoid the one liners.
xD Be both. Everyone else seems to be taking lots of people and we need some enemies. They couldn't defeat one doctor, they'll have to team up if they have any chance of beating at least four plus half a million companions and friends. And Cat, watch a bit of torchwood if you're going to play him. It's quite good. And by that I mean the original torchwood, not any of these more recent attempts of bringing it back. The one with Owen and Tosh. <3 They were awesome.
In the depths of the Asylum, humming could be heard. It was fairly cheerful humming of a child's nursery rhyme, completely unsuited to the surroundings. It carried well through the relitively quiet corridors, the old building having suprisingly good acoustics. Of course that meant the screams carried too but for now, everything seemed calm. If you were to look, you'd find the source of the humming was a little girl sat cross legged on the floor in the corner of one of the high security cells. She had an ever present smile on her face and her eyes were shut as she swayed from side to side. She seemed completely oblivious to where she was. The guards outside didn't react to her humming, they were used to her odd habits. Truth be told, they didn't seem to understand why they had to watch over such a seemingly harmless young child. The girl was a bit strange but surely anyone who had been locked up for their entire life would be. They knew there were a lot worse patients they could have been stationed outside. The girl's name was Rose and she'd been at the Asylum for as long as most of them could remember, longer than any of the guards had worked there and longer than most of the other patients. And yet, she was also one of the youngest patients there - she was not long into double figures. None of the guards had been told why she was here, though inevitably rumours had spread. However looking in as she hummed along to herself, it was hard to believe that any of them could be true. Without warning she stopped humming and a few seconds later the chaos began. People running about and shouting as they wheeled the new patient down the corridor, urgency in their voices. None of the guards noticed her move, but little Rose was suddenly no longer sat down but on tip toes gazing through her tiny window. She watched curiously as they brought in the new patient, attempting to make sense of what was going on. They passed and the guards, glad of the little excitement to break the monoteny of their shift, looked into to Rose's cell. They saw her now laying on her back on the ground, staring at the ceiling, with a puzzled expression on her face. It was like there was a difficult puzzle on the ceiling that she was trying to figure out. There was no sign at all that she had been looking out of the window only moments earlier. The guards found this odd but simply shrugged it off. Then the screams started. The guards did not hesitate to leave off and see what the problem was. Their screams soon joined the chorus. Rose simply sat up and shut her eyes. She tilted her head as she listened to the sounds. The alarms, the screams of both guards and patients, gunshots, explosions, doors being crashed open but beneath that all there was one sound that caught her attention the most. A bone chilling sound, that even made her shiver, a screech or a roar that could of come from no natural source. She listened intently before silence came. A silence that was perhaps scarier than what she had just heard. It was an all consuming silence that seemed to fill every nook and cranny of the place. It may get quiet sometimes but it was never silent in the asylum. Never. Slowly she opened her eyes and stood up. She rarely moved slowly, she prefered to go so fast she'd not be actually seen actually moving. There wasn't a risk of that now, no one was around to see her. She moved carefully upto her door and tentively looked out. She was fascinated by what she saw, the white walls had been painted red. Bodies scatter the floor. She recognised her guards. Everything had been destroyed. And she frowned as she realised, that included her cell door. It was barely hanging on its hinges. She carefully placed her hands on the door and pushed as if just to experiment to see what happened. The door fell backwards onto the floor, crushing a dead body or two. She stared at it for a second, registring what had just happened. She carefully stepped out of her cell and looked around, unsure what to do. The destruction seemed to go in all directions. She crouched down and dipped her finger in a pool of blood. She stared at it for a moment before placing it in her mouth, she tasted it's metalic tang straight away. Her trademark smile crept over her face. She started skipping down the corridor. Then she heard it. That noise. The one of the monster that had done this. The noise she was scared of even if her consious mind wouldn't register it. It was coming from the direction she was going. She paused, span around and started skipping away in the opposite direction.
