Ryku nodded and pulled on his hair, "Heads down. We're here." Ryku forced Kaleb's head down and pulled him behind the side of the store, motioning for Alex to follow closely. "We keep a low profile. Hikaru may not be exactly the "bad guy" here, but he knows traps. I've got the gagets, you two stay back." Shuffling to the other side of the double doors, Ryku bent and gently ran his fingers along a trip wire painted black. "Perfect...I see Lazard also instructed them to take out as many EBO officers and Blue's as they could in this." Gently pushing the door open, Ryku motioned the others forward. "Trip-wire, careful. There may be more. Keep an eye on the ground as well as in front of you."
Uriel cast her eyes heavenward and sighed, "There's a lot of things wrong with today. I'd tell you...Kaila but it's really not my place. No one other than I know...it's Sanya's to tell. Trust me, it's not life threatening. Oh! Who's all that food for? Surely you're not that hungry...are you?" Uriel's blue eyes widened in an old look that she hadn't had since she was a student herself. Curiosity. "Speaking of hungry...where is Ren? He's probably half-starved himself already. That boy...he better not be goofing off prying at Amittai to give him an old book." She smiled, the humor in her words pure and unknowing. Sanya wiped frantically at the tears in her eyes. "I'm sorry. I hate guys like him...which makes it all the more funny... That Kadaj...He would mean so much to me. Ah, but listen to me ramble. We're going to see Kiel. He's a good boy. And I like him." She smiled and pushed open a large set of doors. The only doors that didn't have windows set in them. Kiel was wrestling with the Nurse, trying to get out of bed even though he was covered in sweat. He kept grabbing for his shirt, lying a few feet away on a table. "C'mon! This isn't fair, I'm hungry too! What about Tori!? And what the Hell is this thing?" he pointed dramatically at the light blue ribbon on his upper arm. "Get it off!" The Nurse slapped his hands away from it and glared at him. "It's a gift from Seraph Amittai. You should be grateful." Kiel rolled his eyes, "Oh, a gift, huh? Whaddya know, it's a gift from a Seraph. Geewiz, hope I'm not in debt to him for a ribbon. What's next, the guy just GIVES me a car and a wad of cash? Yeah right, sister. I ain't buyin' none of that stuff."
Ryku sighed, "Great... Hmph, I'm sure. I'll kill Lazard myself. Dem's been in enough pain because of him. I won't let any more ghosts of our past hold us back. Lazard may be our father, but he's one hell of a pain in the @ss." Ryku turned his attention back to what Kaleb had said before. "Below...huh? I'll have a look later. Keep the Runners away from 7th street for a few days. And...when word comes, do as it says. For my own sake of peace of mind, Kaleb. A world wide vaccine will be shipped soon and I want you at least to have one of the first. Lazard's research...it's something dangerous. I'll contact you with further information when I can. You have access to a computer, right? Surely the Runners don't like like the Amish do. After this, I'll check out Lazard's warehouse and see what I can find." He grinned and resisted from following Kaleb's glance at the lagging Runner, "Runners...arrogant to a fault. But...it's that fault that we can play on so easily."
Sanya wiped her mouth and cast a look full of disdain towards Genesis. "I don't like you. And if I don't...Sitnah won't either. You're not fit for the Dark Court. You belong with Bananach and her band of freaks....or Kadaj." It was as if Sanya had shouted a curse word in the middle of the dining hall. All the teachers froze and stared at her. Uriel, especially, with a grieving look. Standing abruptly, which wasn't much of a dramatic gesture, Sanya grabbed Tori's arm and hauled her out the door of the dining hall. "It's this way....I'll show you. I want to see him too." Ren's black box rumbled until it fell from the table and spilled it's contents on the floor. Little bones cluttered on the carpet. Each of them shuddered for a moment and connected, forming a small skeleton dog. Rrrrr-arf Arf! It circled and padded under Kaila's bed.
There...for the sake of everyone I made at least one that would fit with a less darker mood.
Name: Lulu Age: 12 Personality: Lulu keeps to herself. What things she does say are rather insightful, but rather disturbing. Appearance: Brief Bio: Lulu was born on the Arc. She's never seen the Earth. She was kept isolated from everyone on the Arc when she was born and thus believes she's the only living person up there. The only "person" she's ever known was the file: SHADOW. She talks to it as if it can hear her and more often than none, Lulu draws pictures of strange things. Name: Lelouch Lamperouge Age: 19 Personality: Lelouch maintains a perfectly friendly exterior towards people but when he goes into his work with the government, he's a rather nasty person. Appearance: http://images4.fanpop.com/image/photos/15500000/Lelouch-Lamperouge-Zero-lelouch-lamperouge-zero-15571960-600-450.jpg Brief Bio: Lelouch was orphaned as a child and spent his years growing up in different homes. As a boy genius, he was held in high regard with the President. He views things as a game of chess and has been in charge of a small division of experimental studies since he was old enough to take charge in his life. Name: Kallen Mizuho Age: 16 Personality: Kallen is a cheerful and bright girl. She enjoys bothering people, especially if they say they're busy. Her own motto is: There's nothing better than a laugh with a friend. It's just too bad she's a bit dense. Appearance: http://images4.fanpop.com/image/photos/14800000/Anime-Girls-anime-girls-14837076-1024-768.jpg Brief Bio: Kallen grew up in a rich household. She doesn't realize it but her lack of intelligence gets her swindled out of money. Kallen goes to school in Central Square in just another "rich kid school" without a care in the world.
I'll have my old friend Blaze.
I wouldn't be so happy go lucky about that.
We'll see. don't blame me if things get freaky. I've been in a dark mood lately.
With what?
Ryku shrugged and caught up to Kaleb. "Feisty. I suppose...I should focus more on my job than trying to make a good impression...since that ship sailed long ago." A long...long time ago. He'd never be with Lynne and he knew it. Nor any other girl he met. His entire life...devoted to his brother and hunting down and killing Runners. But...with Hikaru and Kaoru involved in this, he couldn't turn his back. "Uh...sorry I pulled a gun on ya, Kaleb. At least my brother's trigger-happiness hasn't rubbed off on me." he lowered his voice, "Tell me more about Lazard. Where did you meet him? Is he well...? What did he say about his situation?"
Actually....I'd like you to head into a forest towards the Ilipson Mountains. I'll be describing it along the way as we go there but I'd like...
I feel like my world isn't real.
Ren made a series of odd little noises that sounded like panting and a combination of words. The wound in his leg throbbed against the ice. "I'm....s...s..." giving up on the word, Ren let out a shuddering breath. His left midnight blue wing dangled over the side of the chair. Feathers clumped together in chunks of ice. Along with his left wing, the same arm sat on his lap, completely frozen over in a thin layer of ice that was melting slowly from the warmth of Kaila's room. He would've preferred the unusual warmth of his own room. For once the rumors were true and the "oh so sexy professor Ren" slept in not a scrap of clothing. His yellow eyes cracked open and stiff fingers snatched at Kaila's retreating form. "K-Kaila....I'm s-s-so...s...s...s..." Giving up again, Ren's yellow eyes slid shut and his head fell back against the chair, his mouth falling open in the process. His breath came out in a chilled fog instead of a puff of warm air. Ice glittered down his throat, lightly lining the inside of his mouth and throat. Something in his pocket rattled. It sounded like bones in a shoe box. Separating itself from Ren's pocket, a small black box grew until it resembled a shoe box and dropped onto the floor beside Ren's feet. Genesis grinned, "Ah I knew she had a tongue! I just want a little friendly chatter with dinner. Since your big, scary bodyguard isn't here...I thought I'd get a few words in edge-wise." A girl on the other side of the table snorted, her fork poised above her plate filled with jell-o. "As if...everyone knows Zadkiel isn't the talkative type." The girl had blonde hair and a single streak of pink running down the side of her hair. "The only people he's ever spoken to really are Tori and what's her name? Schuyler?" She shot a glance at her friend wearing big round glasses with green hair tied up in two ponytails. With a single nod the girls shrugged and went back to their food. Genesis shot them a glare of pure hatred. "Hm, I don't remember having this conversation with a bunch of slobs like you! How about you keep to your sweets and out of my buisness." Genesis watched Sanya Logos gently set her plate down beside the girls and poke at her food much like a child would with something she didn't want to eat. Genesis' smile went wide and fierce, "Ah, say what you want ladies, but it wouldn't do you any good to talk smack about Kiel. Saying such awful things, you should be ashamed of yourselves." He watched as Sanay's golden eyes lifted from her plate briefly. "Please don't talk badly about Zadkiel....he's a good boy. Just like his father." The girls jumped when her golden eyes slid to them in a disapproving look. "No, Professor! We didn't say anything bad about him! It was Genesis!" She stuck her finger out at him and nearly everyone was now looking at their table. "Pointing fingers? How rude and unlady-like. You girls should go back to boarding school."
Ryku scooped Alex up into his arms, "They do odd jobs, here and then. I can't have our medic falling behind or passing out from blood loss now, can we?" Were all Runner's this thin and small?
Enan sighed, combing his hands through his white hair. "You're right...you're right. I'll let you go then..." Ren struggled against an ice soldier. It's frozen limbs wrapped around his body. "G-get off!" One wing flapped relentlessly and the other dangled uselessly by his side. Half of Ren's body was covered in frost bite and ice crept over his clothes. One hand reached for Kaila's doorhandle. If he could just crack the door open..."Kaila...." a half-whisper slipped from his blue lips. Genesis plopped down beside Tori, "Hey! Nice to see you again. Lot of commotion outside, yeah?" he gave her a hoping smile. Wanting her to at least say something. Anything.
Hmm, lets see. Amittai was saved by Ciel and soldiers from Erios after they figured out that the "Erian" soldiers were from Kallahi. The Kiing...
Letting Kaleb go so he could walk on his own, Ryku felt a wave of delayed sorrow hit him. He felt sick to his stomach. "Call it a stroke of luck. Plus...you don't really want to kill Hikaru and Kaoru. They're more valuable to you than you know."
Kiel struggled against the Nurse's warm hands. "Schuyler...is she alright? Where's Miss Logos?! Is everyone okay?" She pushed him back against the bed and ended up tying his arms and legs down. "Stay put." Under his cloak of white and shimmering blue, Enan wore a white suit that was rather in tatters. His white hair fell into his eyes and he resembled a student barely older than 19. "You don't have to call me that. You seem disappointed. Were you hoping Ren would chase after you?" Obviously he couldn't control his mouth. Making a pained face, Enan sighed, "Is there some reason you don't believe students can consort with humans? Even with all the precautions set in place? Perhpas you've been listening to far too many lectues of Ren's about Nephilim." Enan's icy blue eyes slid from Kaila's face to the floor. "None of us wish to revisit the Uprising of the Nephilim again... Which is why I need your help. With this test, perhaps I can find a way to successfully breed the human out of one of the first-year students."
Ryku chuckled lightly, "Yeah and if you ever say a word about it, my hands are clean. A good smuggler makes sure you can't pin him with the goods. Anyways...you're underestimating me again Kaleb. I have a plan for everything." As soon as they saw Alex, Ryku pulled his pistol and touched it lightly to Kaleb's head, grabbing his collar from behind. "You, Runner girl. You and your friend here...are going to take me with you to the Mega-Store. Got it? EBO is not working with Lazard. We wouldn't be caught dead participating with that dirty rat. Now...I know for one thing...you're not good at fighting. You're a medic, right? You and I both save Lynne, Lazard's plans go to Hell. All I want is to ruin Lazard's day. I'll even throw in a nice little fogginess of my vision and memory and let you all go once it's over...just this once."
