Hey everyone; as you all know, the Top Five has been on hiatus for a little over a month now. Well, I have some good news -- we're bringing it back next week! As the usual host Fayt-Harkwind will be busy for a while, I will be taking over the Top Five until he has enough time to pick it back up again =]. So what are you waiting for? Get those videos in -- the results will be posted on Wednesday, June 22nd, and of course you will have a chance to obtain a Top Five Pin if you haven't already got one. A little introduction for those of you who are unfamiliar with the Top Five (and a refresher course for those that are) : What is the Top Five? The Top Five is a video contest hosted weekly on KH-Vids.net. It has been a part of the site for several years, hosted by many of our past and current staff members. What is the criteria for entries in the Top Five? Your video must be related to Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy, and/or Disney in order to place. Videos using custom cuts of songs, MEPs and Video Worms are all allowed; unfinished videos will not be judged. An individual may place twice in the same week, so don't hold back on submissions! How do I Enter? By embedding your video on the Video Portal, you are automatically eligible to place in the Top Five! I review all uploads each week and pick my top five favorites. For more information on how to use the Portal, check out Misty's tutorial. How about the weeks we missed during the hiatus? I will only be judging this next week of submissions, however as I am aware it would be unfair to make videos missed during the hiatus ineligible, you may delete and resubmit any video you'd like to be judged so long as it was submitted after May 2, 2011 (the date of the last Top Five deadline). What about prizes? There are no off-site prizes currently associated with the Top Five, however placing will earn you a Top Five Pin to add to your Pin collection, provided you don't have one already. I learned Still Alive on piano and accompanied my friend singing. My science teacher happened to be there and started singing along. And the tech guy heard us all the way across the auditorium and blasted the original song through the auditorium speakers a bunch of people in the club sang along too. It... I... So my mom still hasn't given up on the idea of Easter baskets. Easter morning usually goes something along the lines of this: 1. I wake up forgetting it's Easter 2. I notice my mom is acting strangely and... remember it's Easter 3. I look outside and there is a MASSIVE BASKET Today was, unsurprisingly, the same, with one small twist: My mom forgot the sounds bunnies make (or I guess I should say lack thereof). Today I woke up and walked by where she was sitting on the couch and she said 'ribbit'. Ladies and gentlemen, the Easter Frog.

I've always had a little bit of trouble with .mp4 files in Vegas, but this time it's a little worse than usual. Basically, when I import .mp4 files I either get no video at all, or a black/green video feed. I've installed several codecs hoping to fix the problem without compromising quality, but it hasn't worked at all. Wondering if anyone here has any solutions? At this point I would prefer to grab a codec than convert, but if you have a conversion method that won't murder video quality please let me know. The codecs I currently have installed are: ffdshow DivX Pack DivX Plus Pack Morgan M-JPEG Codec V3 (not entirely sure this one is working, I had to disable one a while back when it started asking me to pay for it -- didn't realize it was a trial I guess). I'm using Vegas 7.0e. Updating Vegas isn't really an option for me, so I'm desperate xD.
