Yeah, there is. I haven't looked into it much, but from what I gather, it only supports Sony comics, and not your own stuff.

Not if you have insane parents who refuse to let you use any computers. (But yes, laptops are pretty cool.)

The picture viewer on the PSP is pitifully inferior to the specifically designed homebrew readers designed for reading manga and comics. With the right setup, you can read manga easily.

PSP is for movies on the go. I know a lot of people who use it for videos, especially anime.

Exists on the PSP 1000. It means the PSP can be used as a TV remote. It's impressive, because the feature got absolutely no use from Sony, and has only ever been used by CFW. In other words, you need CFW to make the most out of your hardware.

Who said anything about games? Ebook reader. Manga reader. Emulators. The occasional -good- games. Wireless file transfers between PSPs.

A desktop isn't exactly practical to use while in bed.

Rip your own games (can do easily). Put them on the memory stick. Enjoy your multiple games with you at once, without any of those UMDs. The better battery life and improved loading times are also a plus.

Your PS2 can't play on the go. Downloading the PSX games costs money, and doesn't supply you with all possible games. So if you have an obscure game from your childhood, you can't play it, or you need to rebuy it. If you have CFW, you can rip the game yourself, and play it.

So? It looks nice, and Sony doesn't let you do it. Both good reasons to me.

Not really. It's available if you charge your PSP normally, but not if you take it off the charger. It gives you the option of using it.

Remapping the analog stick if it's faulty, for example. Taking screnshots. Cheats. Added functions, such as the popular one Hold+, which removes the risk of turning off the PSP when taking it off hold. Also, it underclocks the PSP and turns the brightness off and the like when put on hold, so as to conserve battery life when listening to music. It also makes it faster to scroll through lists of music. That's just one plugin though. There are others too, such as Remotejoy, which allows you to play with the computer as a screen.

Funny scenario in-game? Want to take a picture of your achievements? How about capturing media for this site? All impossible without homebrew.

Ask the Code Vault. Fun tricks and different settings. That sort of thing. It's not always to cheat your way through a game. (Although it can be, and it's an option CFW gives you.)

Cancels out the sound effects of the game, which isn't good. Also, why add in something else when you don't have to?

I assure you, you were doing it wrong. Without CFW, I'd sell my PSP. Even without piracy, the benefits of CFW are just too great to pass up. Manga, better video support, IR support, homebrew, full browser potential, booting games from memory sticks, playing PSX games, custom themes, the extra brightness setting, plugins, screenshots, cheats, your own music in-game, etc.

Midnight Star carefully explained her deductions, and accused Tikem of being Kira, and with the help of the other Detectives, arrested him and confiscated his Death Note. He put up little resistance, and was bundled into a cell overnight.

When Midnight Star went to check on him the next day, she found the cell empty. Furthermore, when she reviewed the security footage, all it showed was a blank cell, even at the times when she had personally observed Tikem in there. Confused, she raised the topic with the other Detectives, but they looked at her as though she were insane. They claimed that they had been working on finding out the answer to a serial rapist case for the past few weeks, and that she personally was heading the team. At the mention of 'Kira', they showed no response, even going so far as to ask "who?"

Distraught, Midnight Star ran to the safe to confirm the existence of the Death Note, but as expected, it had completely vanished. In its place was a single piece of paper, saying "I have transcended human limitations thanks to the power of a certain extra-terrestrial sauce. I look forward to playing with you again, although next time, I'll be the orchestrator."

Tikem is Shinigami next round. I may be, depending on the number of players.

Prosecuting Geohut is a bit far, yeah. But if it succeeds, we should blame it on the justice system for allowing it, not on Sony for exerting their legal right.

Banning jailbroken PS3s is fair game. It's always been this way. If you use CFW, or hack a console, you lose online benefits. Microsoft does it, and Sony did it to the PSP too. I can see the justice in Sony removing access to their services unless you use the most recent firmware and not hack.

The spying is horrible, although we don't know the full extent of it. The credit card information doesn't matter, because the data was never intended to be rerouted to someone else.

If I buy a car, and then modify it to have no indicators, no tires, no breaks and be amazingly unsafe, then it's perfectly fair that I don't drive it on the road, yes. It's completely unjustified for the government to stop me driving my death-trap of a car on my own property, as I like, or to prosecute the guy who taught me how to modify it.

Geohut has not done anything wrong. Yes, his code will aid others in pirating games, but it was released with the intention of expanding the PS3's horizons, to do stuff Sony can't or won't do themselves. He removed restrictions placed upon owners of the systems. It is up to the owners to decide how to act with these new found abilities.

Most PCs come without any restrictions placed on what you can do with the hardware, so they don't need to be broken into.

In terms of software, it's still true. You get the most out of everything by hacking, as it means you can do what you couldn't do before. The only downside is that it can take time to get it working.

    Religion's

This was all very well and good until you became ONE OF THE DEBATERS.

And The Maker believes in you, for yours is the tar that will rep the heavens!

    [Obligatory racist terrorist joke]

Well you aren't. So choose a religion. And no, you can't get around it by deifying your leader after death either, so no Caesar for you.

My thoughts are that I should leave replying to this until we get down to your other post.

    Greedy.

Yes, this is really the Spamzone, although you may call it the Playground if you wish. (although no one ever does.)

Go stand in the time-out corner for thinking this could end any other way. Also, your beliefs suck. (Speaking of which, what were they again?)

Why so surprised? I'm here most days.

Kinda like having your intestines sucked out by a pool drain.

They're unheard of in any Pokémon games I play. Honestly, my luck is atrocious.

Nope. Lack of a belief in a god is atheism. It doesn't matter whether it could have existed or not. If there not the belief 'God exists' then it is a lack of theism, thus atheism.

Pokémon has, and always will have an enormous potential for badass. I approve.

Stop hanging out on Cinnabar coast. It's bad for your health.

There are people to help you with that. We call them doctors.

    Prove you exist.

    -sigh-

I should really just call myself a non-believer instead. Or perhaps I should say "I don't believe in a god". Those should slip under the radar.

Arguments and viewpoints are subjective. It's perfectly possible to draw two valid conclusions that oppose each other from perfectly valid data. Both sides can come out of an oppositional argument without converting the opponent, while having constructed a flawless theory.

Then what is a lack of belief?

Everything ends up at sex, religion or politics. This thread started out at one of them, so it's remained on topic.

Makaze, you should quote this in your signature or something.

    Nooo

Conceit approving of conceit? You'll enter a recursive loop of approval!

I think a better argument would be to question the senses that inform him that a wall exist. It'd be extremely easy to make the argument that it's all in the mind.

    Speak.

I hope you tried to convert her to Satanism and animal sacrifice. Or explained the benefits of polygamy.

Break down a wall that isn't there?

Is there any religion in the list that's okay with that?

We need a nickname for Sforzato. Zato? Zats? Sfor?

Easy to type, not so easy to pronounce.

This is beginning to look more and more like a harem. We've got Lilbueno, Nova, GS and Makaze, not to mention the pet bear of truth. Throw in a few love Klein Bottles, and we're away.

This is looking more and more like a so-bad-it's-good harem.

I'm going to pretend you're talking about the harem, in which case I can say that I strongly hold an indecisive view on whether it is positive or negative.

    Needs more capitalisation.

Post counts are easy. Postwhore more.

1st rule of rep: You don't talk about fight club.

Finally. I knew it would come in handy. Please see the apatheist quote by Lilbueno above.

Where does "I conclude that X is most likely in my eyes" fit in?

Damn. Looks like I'll never get there now.

    Seconded.

We just lost a spamzone. ._.

    Oh u.

That's the great thing about metaphysics: No matter how much you try to unravel existence, you need to believe in it to communicate your theory.

    Are you a Pagan?

Summarise it in a sentence for the lazy.

Unless, of course, the entire chain of causation is a lie, which nicely solves most problems of causation.

Zone out, and pick a single part of their posts, and poke a hole there. It's easier than trying to create your own wall of text, and it gets you into the discussion.

How does the whole Mormon thing work out for you? Do you have to wear that undergarment thing?

OUR Jesus is the real one!

See the link about causation that I posted earlier. You'll like it.

This should be moved somewhere post-counting. Ah well. Discussion for discussion's sake is how things should be.

Dude, it's a miracle we're not posting cat pictures by now. We're going fine.

I wonder if I can get off homework with this argument?

I still have three staffships left. There's no way you'll sink them all!

The official producers have no plans on stopping. Pokémon is still going incredibly strong. It's not the phenomenon it was years ago, but it's still popular, especially in Japan. Also, the designers like introducing new girls too much to stop.

You want friends. You want to talk to them. So walk up and talk to them. They're only human, like you. They could completely bite your head off, just like you could theirs, but they won't, because they're normal people, like you are. It's like stroking a cat: it won't scratch you unless you irritate it. If you feel confident enough to call them friends, then you should be confident enough to strike up a conversation with them. If they are friends, then they'll respond, and all will be well. If not, then they won't, and you can stop pretending that they are friends when they're not.

What it comes down to is acting, and wanting to talk to them enough so that you actually do talk to them. If you want motivation help, you could try punishing/rewarding yourself for not talking/talking to them. For example, if you chicken out, then you don't get to eat what you want for dinner. If you talk, then you get a treat for dessert. Carrot and stick system. Old, yes, but possibly useful to you.

HEY. He's going with you to the prom, right? That means he's giving the possibility of liking you a chance, if he doesn't like you already. You've known him for a while, so your natural personality clearly isn't a turn-off for him. In that case, just strike up a conversation and (here it comes...) be yourself. You wouldn't want to give the appearance of avoiding him, would you?

    Worry less; speak more.

    Voxli tiem

Ugh. What has happened with Gabriel? I just saw FKB's recent conversation with him. What's he been telling you guys?

I signed on to find him there yesterday. He found this thread and the Voxli chat using Google. He's a Brazilian looking to practice English, so I spoke with him for a bit.

We don't know each other IRL, or anything similar. I added him to my Facebook so we could remain in contact later, but that's all.

The chat was primarily made for members of KHV to have a place to talk. If Gabriel is driving people away from there, then I will ask for him to either join KHV, or use a different chat. Does this sound reasonable?

It's a patch for the ISO to make it work. Then put the ISO back onto the PSP, in the ISO folder once it's patched.

You run the patch, then point it at the ISO. You may need to rename the ISO so the patch recognises it.
