Roxas glanced down at the ground, but then turned his head to look over where his phone was. Kairi. He walked quickly to his hiding spot and picked up his phone. "Kairi? Are you still there?" he asked softly. "...Yes," Kairi answered quietly, shocked by all she had witnessed by ear. How could she have accused Sora of seeing somebody else? "Did you...happen to hear all of that?" Roxas asked hesitantly, believing he already knew the answer. He could tell by her voice that she was clearly stunned, and so was he. "Yeah... I did." Kairi bit her lip after she spoke, looking down at the pictures in front of her. She felt ashamed of herself. And she felt bad for Sora. He had no idea that the questioning had been encouraged by her.

Roxas stared after Sora in shock, silence surrounding him after the door was slammed shut. Maybe...he crossed the line with what he said, and did. Kairi jumped slightly at the slam on the other line, only silence coming through the phone after that. Sora must have left, she assumed. She didn't even hear Roxas anymore.

Roxas blinked, surprise being the only emotion against his features. Happy? Of course he wasn't happy! How could he be when he just found out his best friend almost died? Kairi had the urge to hang up the phone, not wanting to hear anymore of this conversation. She knew it would be the right thing to do, but she couldn't make herself do it. She just couldn't.

Roxas held out his hands slightly, being careful with the knowledge that Sora was on edge. "Sora, just calm down," he tried, but he had a feeling his friend wasn't going to listen to him. It seemed like things were beyond that point.

Roxas didn't say anything, not sure what to say exactly. Hearing Sora's story was terrible, and the boy briefly glanced in the direction of his phone in his silence. Kairi... She was hearing all of this. The blond looked back to his Other, seeing that this was worse than he thought. Kairi heard Sora from wherever Roxas has set his phone, loud and clear. It was heartbreaking to hear such a thing. He'd gone through so much pain, and here she was, assuming he had gotten with someone else. How could she?

Roxas only stared at Sora as the words registered in his mind. He couldn't do anything but blink. What happened to Sora was much harsher than he thought, but then again, he thought his friend had gotten comfortable with somebody else. Kairi covered her mouth at what she was hearing. She had thought something completely opposite had happened, but she was wrong. Completely wrong.

Roxas stumbled back a few steps before he caught himself, finally finding balance as he stood in the living room. He looked up at his friend with wide eyes, surprised at the action Sora made and the words he'd finally spoken. Kairi stared wide-eyed at her bedspread as she sat on it, much like she had been doing for the past few minutes. Sora... He almost died?
Don't be. I'll feel better eventually; this isn't unusual for me. xD
"No!" Roxas said, his voice slightly higher than before. "Not until you tell me what's wrong." The fact that Sora wasn't opening up made Roxas angry, but at the same time he was worried. Frustration and concern were triggering his actions, which he vaguely noticed were bad for what was going on here.
That's good. xD But no, I'm really not. It sucks.
"Just tell me what's wrong," Roxas said, having not heard Sora; he was so focused on getting information out of him that he ignored what his friend said. "Why is that so hard for you to do?" Kairi's eyes were wide as she listened to what was happening on the other line. She almost yelled for Roxas to stop, but she couldn't find her voice. What was he doing to Sora? What was even happening over there?
I'm back earlier than I thought. I have like, no energy at all. So I ended up just logging on again.
Roxas didn't know what came over him next, but he brought his foot forward, pressing it against Sora's ankle. "Why should I? What if I'm worried about you, huh? That's not a good enough reason to try to get you to open up to someone else?" he said, staring at Sora. He was getting aggravated that Sora wouldn't just tell him what was wrong. Friends were supposed to try and help each other, weren't they?
