The answer to the question lies in another question: which female of KHV can be fooled in such a way that I can leave her behind to the cruel world all alone with my baby without any negative consequences for me?
    Accepting applications.

I'm not a believer as you know, but I think that in order to be able to call yourself as such with a straight face, you'd have to choose your faith over your family when the dilemma arises.
To a firm believer, the very choice is the same as choosing between the eternal and the finite. That in itself is a recurring theme in Christianity.
You won't find many devoted Christians advocating lust over love either.
Compared to faith, which is supposed to stand tall even after death, family is but a short-term "pleasure" much like drugs or one-night-stands isn't it?

That being said, the question isn't even relevant to me.

Assuming the world can't be saved, I'd say what I have to say to the ones I love and the ones I hate (were I to have any). Then I'd pick up smoking and start doing heavy drugs since I don't have to worry about the risks anymore anyway.

Maybe not the sky being blue but there are other examples still.
Classic one: the Holocaust. I can imagine that there are people who would rather not know that their daddy gassed Jews.

Because close-mindedness is a philosophy like any other. Some people do not bring up respect for an idea or a person until earned. Kids are being taught to bring up a minimum of courtesy during social interaction but some choose to stray away from that original standard, like teenagers often do.
I myself have never seen the use of an open mind, nor the point in hiding that I don't have one. It is a standard some live by and they are free to express themselves as such.

I'm not doing it because I like it, but as a mod I can't have too many people complain about my behaviour so I took it down a notch. I haven't improved.

    Hey, I remember you.

Evidence is proof. I've been through this with you. The word you're looking for is "arguments".

Then how come that there are things that we do know for certain?
Not just God's existence but in fact any certainity limits our "free will". And yet out of all the things revealed, God's existence isn't one of them. Peculiar.

Being ticked off by close-mindedness is actually just another form of close-mindedness.

I don't believe in God as a being. Deities used to be big business when we craved some explanations on how the world works. Fortunately our knowledge of science has expanded since then and God's role has been reduced to that of a poster boy the Christian teachings. Teachings I don't follow.

Don't mention it. Everyone makes mistakes when they're new. It's just that Discussion isn't the section where you can dump threads you don't know the rightful place of. But I'm sure you'll get the hang of it in no time.

I looked it up on Wiki; it's a manga too. Usually I base my choice on the original then but if you want me to move it again...

I'd do an effort in order to become a legal immigrant by finding a job, learning the official/popular language...in other words: through integration.

Many of you should take a maturity pill. Try to get your doctor to prescribe it when you go get your flu shot. And yes Bushido, I'm looking at you more than anyone.

I'm gonna speak for Belgium since I have no idea what the situation is like in other countries. I'm afraid Rho has a valid point. There are simply too many immigrants who see Belgium as the land of milk and honey, who refuse to adapt themselves to Western values or even refuse learning the language or looking for a job. Many immigrants forget that being welcome in a new country requires effort on their part.

Ask yourself the reason why these immigrants are still illegal. Ask yourself whether the really needy ever even get here. It made me think, and eventually realise that there is a problem (in my country at least).
