((OOC: Xert, please note that if Sithos had run from the top of the tower, Xatalien would have in fact seen him escaping. For now, I'll proceed.) The green fires connected with the tower, and Xatalien lowered herself as the flames faded from the surface of the now charred roof. Her target had vanished. It was most likely that he had been incinarated by the fires. Had he ran from the fires, Xatalien certainly would have seen his fleeing. Yet there was no sign of him to be seen. No tracks, or marks left to track him by if he had run. Time to clean up around here. If he ran, then he can't have gotten too far from here. Drawing in the energy to create another pair of green flames, Xatalien again let them go, this pair, into the base of the cluster of towers. No sooner had these flames been released, had she again spawned a pair. And again, she pushed the flames down to the base of the towers. Each flame had, of course been thrown in a different direction to increase to probability of hitting anything. Either he would be hit by the fires, or he would be driven from the towers. The latter event would be the perferred outcome. A chase would be a good thing. But for now, the waiting game was in play.
According to stories, passed down by the generations, the whimsical weapons dubbed as, "keyblades" have a rather mixed reputation, spawning from a rather violent past. Some stories tell of a keyblade wielder bringing an untold destruction upon the world. Others, tell of how a wielder of keybearer liberated the world from darkness for a time. This RP, shall delve into both sides of the story. Many a generation ago, there was a world of glorious beauty, unrivaled by any other. Upon this world there stood a mighty castle, over looking a peaceful, serene village, resting in the heart of a mountain range. The people of the village were content with all they had, and all they were. Their leader was loved by all, and ruled with precision, and tact and consideration for all whom he ruled over. Yet within the castle, there was a mysterious, surreal force, kept well hidden in the walls of the keep. The force in question emanated from a door, which seemed to have simply appeared after the castle's completion. Never seen in the blueprints to the castle's design, it was dismissed for some time as a simple construction fluke. Many years passed, with the door being left alone, and ignored. Then, one day, not horribly long ago, perhaps only 100 years, a young boy, no more than 15 years on him, arrived in the castle, bearing an odd weapon. While the weapon appeared to be a large key, it had the blade of a sword upon it. The boy had shown up beaten to a near pulp, and his clothes tattered. The ruler of the world felt sympathy for the child, and took him in for healing. The boy would stay at the castle for several weeks, restoring his vitality, and regaining his functions. Once he was cured, he prepared his leave. During his last days, he had taken some time to explore the castle, and learn of its corridors, and passages, in case he ever needed to return to it. In his wanderings, he came across the mystery door, and the force which sourced from it. Immediately, his keyblade drew him to the door, and without realizing what he was doing, he had touched the key to the door. In what seemed like mere seconds, the world was covered in darkness. Powerful beings aligned with the darkness came into being, and began bidding for control over the realm of light. Warriors aligned with the light fought back, in the hopes of defending their worlds. And through the chaos, the boy with the keyblade vanished without a trace. Five years have passed since the opening of the door. The wars between light and darkness continue to spread chaos and destruction over the many worlds. But the winds of change are about to blow in favor of the light. The time will soon be at hand for the boy with the key, to return a man. Rules/Notes: - No god-moding, power-playing, or metagaming - No one liner posts. All IC posts should consist of at least 5 well written sentences. You will find that it is easier to follow a plot that uses more than one line posts. - There will be no canon characters in this RP, all will be original - I will be making a profile for the keybearer. There will only be ONE keybearerm who will be granted to the RPer of my choosing. -This thread will be for the character profiles, and for all out of character comments pertaining to the flow of the RP. You may make short OOC comments in the IC thread once it is up, but they must also be followed up with an in character comment. Character Profile Outline Name: What your character is called Age: How old are they? Gender: Male or Female. If they technically have no gender, then which to they appear as. Allegiance: Darkness or Light Physical Appearance: In 4+ sentences, describe what your character looks like. You may have a picture. Attire: In 4+ sentences, describe the most common clothes seen worn by your character. Personality and History: This is information that should be implied (personality) through the actions of the characters, and touched on (history) as the plot thickens. Weapon(s): What weapons does your character wield? Remember that there is only one keyblade, and that character is not available as of yet. Abilities: This is for the powers, skills, and/or magic that your character possess. All I ask is that you not be vague, and explain what sorts of attacks your character uses as a result of their powers. Note that a person who uses darkness as a power base, can still be in allegiance with the light (think Riku).
OOC: Yes, I'm fighting Xert's forces.
OOC: First order of business, creative juices flowing, second character time. Name: Xiang Lieu Age: 25 Gender: Male Appearance: The majority of Xiang's appearance is unknown to most. Only his order knows what he looks like. His appearance as of now is veiled by a set of entirely black monk robes. His face is hidden behind a set of cloths wrapped tightly around his face such that all that can be seen through them are his eyes, which are as black as the robes, and cloths are. His height is of a lithe 5'10''. Around his neck, though often tucked under his robes, he wears a black chain, at the end of which is a silver medallion, bearing the crest of his order. Weapon: As of now, Xiang wields a shaolin spade, dubbed Harbringer. But little does he realize that he is destined to wield the Way To The Dawn Keyblade (If that's been taken, then just ignore that part of it. Harbringer: http://www.shaolinchimantis.com/Images-M/Products-M/SCM-150/ShaolinMonkSpade-101a-72-s.jpg Way To The Dawn: http://s.bebo.com/app-image/7934142...zaz.com/img/q/u/08/03/26/waytothedawnbest.jpg Abilities: Xiang is a warrior monk, blessed by shadows, and, at this point, in an almost complete control over the darkness. He can channel through his person spiritual forces of a more demonic nature, such as "dark energy", and demonic fires, colored black, and far hotter than normal flames. In addition, he has learned to output his spiritual energies in a rather complex manner, enabling him to channel his powers through various part os his surroundings. Among the abilities granted to him through this, is his ability to fly without the use of wings, or other aids, and the summoning of beings from the shadows (not heartless, but demons). Physically, he finds his attributes in his agility, and flexibility, and basic combat skills obtained as a monk. Summon(s): There are two major summons used by Xaing: Kuan Dai - Kuan Dai acts as Xaing's personal guard in battles. Much like the Guardian used by Xehenort's heartless in his final battle against Sora, Kuan Dai is immune to physical attacks to physical attacks, and highly resistant against magic (though they can weaken him), and can encase Xaing in a protecctive cage. He is a physically strong being, able to match even Hercules in raw physical strength. Kuan Dai - http://images.google.com/images?hl=...1&q=Shadow+Guardian&aq=f&oq=&aqi=g-s1&start=0 Zhyriad - Unlike his "brother", Kuan Dai, Zhyriad is almost completely immune to magic, yet physically weak. He is a more free flowing summon, who is usually given the tasks that require stealth, and patience, two things that Kuan Dai lacks in large quantities. While physically incredibly frail, Zhyriad possess at least a basic understanding of magic, which helps him perform his tasks. Zhyriad: http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a58/anti_christ/darkanion2.jpg *While these are the named demons used by Xiang, he also holds a control over countless hordes of unnamed lessers. Howver, he lacks the natural contrl over these lessers, and his control over them seems to be connected to his necklace, bearng his order's crest. Were the necklace lost, or wosre, stolen, another would gain the ability to control the lessers. Side: Currently Neutral Bio: Quite unfortunately, Xiang has been forbbiden from speaking of his past by the elders in his order. He his a monk from The Land of Dragons, who once trained under the guide of an order known as the the Yue An Ying. The order was made up of warriors who had been nearly taken by darkness. The warriors were trained to overcome the effects of the darkness, and they learned how to use it to their advantage. All else that resides in Xiang's past is held secret, following the ideal that the more a person knows of your past, the greater the damage they can inflict upon you on an emotional, and personal level. Second order of business: IC - Luckily for Mattrex, the corridors leading out of the computer counsol room were completely barren, save for a few spiders that hung from the ceiling, and mouse or two that scurried accross his path. He preffered that he not run into anyone at this point. Not that he didn't want to meet his creators, bot more for the fact that they wouldn't be able to fully understand what he was just yet. He knew that if he saw a strange looking person appraoching him, he'd be skeptical at first. But if he could show himself first to be on teir side, then he could gain their trust in a less strenuous fashion. Down roughly seven flights of stairs, an through three sevret passages, he found himself in the Gummi hangar. Rows of ships were lined, ready for take off at any time, and to his fortune, there was one that was preparing for lift off. He knew not where the ship was headed, byt he knew wll that he had to first get off of this world. If he was to head for Twilight Town, then he'd be closer to that goal once he got to another world. The trick now was sneaking onto the ship through the crew, which seemed to be keeping a close watch for intruders.
Slowly, the masked woman rolled her neck around, stretching out each muscle, as she made three full circles around in one direction. Reversing her stretch, she rolled her neck arund the other way, strectching the muscles on the opposite side. As she rilled it around in the third circle, a figure came into her sight. The figure was of a man. standing upon a tower just a bit lower than her own perch. And he was looking upon her with a bit of an intruiged look. Turning swiftly to face her company, she stared back at the man for a moment. Giving him a curt nod, she muttered another incantation. "Navi," she said, rising into the air gently to get a better view of the castle. Her attack on it appeared to have had little effect so far. Most likely, it had been passed off as a fluke of the heating system, or simply a low class wizard blundering a spell. Either way, it was not the desired effect. She had to get the village in a panic to fulfill her next orders. Now roughly fifty feet in above her spot on the tower, a look down gave her a good view of the man that had been staring at her. Hoping to break the montinous boredom of the moment, she held both palms at him. Instead of orbs of energy, there were now two concentrations of green flames, formed just infront of her hands. Easily, she pulled back both arms, and pushed forward, sending both floames at her new target. This should make for some fun.
A silent masked figure stood upon the highest tower within the dark depths of Radiant Garden, staring almost blankely at the castle in the distance. If not for the obvious, slender female form she possessed, the fact that she was female would be completely veiled by the simple fact that she was masked. Grasped in her left hand, was a bunched up set of dark robes, that had once belonged to a resident of these parts. However, this resident was one that had to be eliminated, lest she threaten the power of the masked female's order. In her right hand, she held a staff, which had belonged to the same person who had worn the robes. Behind her, a portal, through which lay the Realm of Darkness opened up, allowing access to the core of its depths. The masked figure threw the staff idely through the portal, closing the gateway as the staff disappeared into the darkness for eternity. It wojuld be safe there. After all, heartless had no memories, and they were all that awaited the relic in its new home. Resumming her stare out at the castle, whose turrets seemed to touch the clouds themselves, she realized how slow things had gotten over the passed few days. Her orders had been few and far between, and the number of targets remaining to be taken down had been shaven to a slim few. Perhaps she was just getting too good at her job. Or maybe, her targets were just getting weaker. Naturally, she faored the former thought. A world without opposition would be the ultimate bore. Letting out a quick sigh, that ended up being more audible then she had meant for it to be, she held oout her arm, facing her palm towards the castle. After a few short seconds of focus, she had formed a vilet colored, baseball sized orb in front of her hand. With a mere thought from its creator, the orb flew at a speed un attainable by a being of human form, dartting its way towards the castle's closest turret. Even from her distance, she could make out the form of an explosion upon the roof of the turret. Another well aimed shot. Not bothering to look down at the robes clenched in her hands, she uttered a brief incantation, again, a bit more audible than she had meant to. "Exuro." At the sound of her voice, the robes in her hand ignited in a gentle, yet strong burst of green flames. To avoid catching the heat of these flames, she tossed the robes behind her, and allowed for them to burn away into ashes as they dropped to the base of the tower. Now, she need only to await the action of the defenses of this little world, to see the reaction to their precious castle being attacked from an apparently invisible force. Th suspense of what would happen was something to die for.
Through the endless veil of darkness, Xykel tracked his way towards his fellow organization members, tossing a small orblike object up an down intot he air as he did. He was bored right now, and anyone who knew him would be able to tell, simply by the fact that he was playing with one of his bombs. A man with an appetite for chaos such as his own needed destruction in his life. His boredom reaching its peak now, he took a seat near his superior, Phenox. Briefly pausing in the tossing of his bomb, he looked down at the tiny, black object now clenched in his hand. Temptation set in... ONe little explosion. Just one, and I'll feel alot better about this place. With a sigh and a shrug of his shoulders, he stood up in his seat, and heaved the bomb as far as he could. Though it couldn't be seen through the shadows, the bomb ignited in flames, and in a millionth of a second, an explosion lit up the area. While no substitue for sunlight, and only lasting a few seconds, the light from the burst was more than satisfying, and Xykel turned around and reassumed his seat. Looking to his leader, he dropped what he hoped would be a conversation starter. "So are we going to be getting out of this place anythime soon?
Streams of data flowed through the depths of cyberspace, at speeds surpassing even that of lightning. Broken down into beyond microscopic bits, mere millionths of the files original size, the data forged its path onward toward the processor for the data converter. Perhaps the most inovative device concieved by Ansem the wise, the device could breakdown anything on the outside into cyber data, and now, as it was discovered, could transfer data onto the real world. As the data reached the converter's processor, this discover reached its culmination. It was within these fragments of data that the apparent hope of the Realm of Light now resisded. Shaped out of the new master program of the Radiant Garden defense grid was the newest of the heroes of the worlds: Mattrex. Reaching the data converter, the pieces of data which made up Mattrex reformed themsleves, taking on a new human form to blend in with. Now in the shape of a tall, dark skinned man, clad in an all black outfit, the new hero nodded in approval at his new appearance. He walked over to the main counsol, where a screen popped up, giving him his orders: Make for Twilight Town. The Organization has their main stronghold there. If we can keep a close watch on Twilight Town, then we should be able to prevent any unnecessary damage. With another nod, Mattrex dashed from the computer chamber. He had to find a ship to get to Twilight Town in.
OOC: Before I start - 1. Should I provide a profile for Larxene? 2. Could I get a quick rundown of what's happening at the moment, and where the world of focus is right now?
(OOC: If the third Keyblade wielder is still up for grabs, I'll be willing to take that up. Also, 1st IC post from me when I get back from lobster!).
Name: Xykel (Formerly named Kyle) Age: 21 Gender: Male Number: 3 Power: Cosmic Pyrokinesis - Xabrin is able to both create, and manipulate the forces of Cosmic Fire, a form of fire that can exist regardless of environmental restrictions. Thus, he can manifest the fire in water, and in vacuums in which no oxygen exists to allow the chemical reactions necessary for fire. In addition, he can consume himself, or any part of himself without causing himself, or his clothing any harm. Due to the absence of light within the fires, they appear to be completely black. To completement his Cosmic Fire, he carried on his person a set of golfball sized objects, which are both coated and filled with an explosively reactive substance. The explosions are triggered by heat, and as he can create fire, and therefore heat in any envirnment, he can use the explosives in the same fashion. Bio: (I'll save this for development in IC) Appearance: http://images1.fanpop.com/images/photos/2400000/Emo-Anime-Guy-anime-guys-2461951-300-379.jpg
Name: Mattrex Age: Technically speaking, "he" is roughly a month old. But due to is nature, he is more mature than such. Appearance: Mattrex appears a slim, but well cut form of a man, standing at about 6'5''. He is of a dark complexion, though not as dark as night, and is eyes are a solid red, lacking in the standard features normally attributed to eyes (pupils and such). He has balck hair, that sticks up an unch off of his head, creating an essentially flat surface, and a widows peak on his forehead. His common attire usually consists of a long, open, trenchcoat, with no shirt worn underneath, a pair of dark blue jeans, and black sneakers. Weapons: Charge Bracers - A pair of white, seemingly bionic arm bands worn around his forearms, each with a red orb implanted within them. The arm bands let off a flux of pure energy, which can be shaped into pulses, blasts, streams, and blades for attacks, shields for defense, and traps to catch enemies in. Security Protocol - Mattrex posses an enhanced sensory perception, which spans several miles in a radius around his body. In some cases, he can sense the appraoch of of an enemy, or an alley, hours before they even catch up to him. Defense Protocol - The first line of defense utilized by Mattrex when in immediate danger. Using the energy from the Charge Bracers, he creates an invisible defensive grid roughly 100 yards by 100 yards in area. With the grid set, Mattrex can span seemingly random bursts of energy from within the grid. Data Input/Output Protocol - The primary means by which Mattrex leanrs, and applies his knowledge. He posses a nearly flawless memory, and can store massive amounts of information in ready to retrieve form. As he observes battles between others, he formulates possible strategies to be used against their powers, and combat styles. Powers: Machanicall Interface - Mattrex is able to directly interface with computer-like operated devices, such as the Gummi ships, and robots, over riding their prgram where necessary, and also performing maintenance, and security work. Mimicry - A power, based on the analysis of input data, and channelled via the output of data, through which Mattrex imitates fragments of data that he has seen in his past. This can range from altering his appearance, and mannerisms to that of a person he has see before, to forging data based replicas of their weapons. When in possession of a firm understanding of a person's powers, and abilities, Mattrex may also mimic those powers and abilities while in their appearance. However, the use of their powers while in the transformed state reduces the amount of time Mattrex may maintain their appearance. Data Replication - Mattrex can create data based replications of both himself, and others. The replications are essentially clones, and can interact with others on their own will. However, the only "perfect" replication that can be created by default is a replication of Mattrex himself, as he must possess significantly larger amounts of data on others to make a truely convincing replica. *In terms of his powers, Mattrex is growing, and developing as he collects more data. The more data he gains, the more powerful, and effective his powers become. Side: Currently Good Race: Other Bio: Not long after the massive heartless attacks on Radiant Garden (In KH2), the Restoration Committee found themselves in the need to develop a new defensive program. Rather than completely replace the current program in place (Tron), they opted to upgrade it. Taking new software developed by Cid, the Committee gave Tron a complete overhual, augmenting the program's protocol abilities, and overall effectiveness. The new program was called Mattrex. While it still holds Tron's memories of Sora, Donald, and Goofy, the program is far different in terms of is personality. When word reached Radiant Garden of the defeat of Sora and Riku, the master program that operated the Mattrex defensive grid sprung into action. Using the same Data Converter that had sent Sora and friends into the space paranoids, Mattrex forged a databased replica of itself. Maintaining the name of its master program, the new Mattrex departed Radiant Garden to aid in the cause of good. Other Info: - The original Mattrex, created by the Mattrex Program, and all data based replicas created by Mattrex, are bound to the Mattrex Program on the Radiant Garden computers, and also to each other. As such, all of the replicas created by Mettrex, and the master program, all share in each other's knowledge, as they are all part of a larger whole. If the program of Mattrex was rewritten, or the program was infected or shut down, these effects would hold true for Mattrex, and the replicas that it makes as well. I would like to join in on this, if I may. I feel in the mood to play Larxene, provided no one has taken her.
OC Sheet: Username: Ego Imperium Character name: Xatalien (Formerly Known As Natalie Age: 21 Title: The Drifting Sorceress Appearance: http://www.marheavenj.net/aki/gallery/fanart/001.jpg Weapons: Two sickle scythes, carried around her belt when not in use. Both scythes have been enchanted with a brand of necromantic magic, that causes them to absorb the souls of those that they kill. After absorption, Xatalien converts the souls that she has taken to augment her own reserves of power. Powers: Xatalien wields the power to manipulate the forces of a brand of power known as "Ethereal Magic". Through this power, she channels what is essentially raw magic energy, and supernatural. She can externalize her magic energy in the form of pure energy, as blasts, beams, and similar forms. Her other option is the use of spells, curses (via ritual), and enchantments. As a being in line with the Ethereal planes, she can travel to some realms that others would be unable to survive in without a guide. Side: Nobodies Good, Bad, or Neutral: Usually Neutral, though will temporarily join whatever side needed to serve her purposes.
So the idea that I have is relatively simple, and hopefully, it'll catch on with the lot of you. Essentially, my thought is for a massive cross over RP, in which original characters will act as bounty hunters, who track down, and eliminate various canon characters within their respective worlds. For example, we may decide to have one world be The World That Never Was, and have targeted characters be the members of Organization XIII. What this RP will need is a few players playing bounty hunters, as well as players controlling the marked characters (A single person may control multiple marked characters, as they will be played as assigned). So if anyone is interested, I'm open for any, and all suggestions for worlds, and marked canon characters to have for those worlds (they do not have to be limited to FF and KH).
