For the coloured sig, I really love the blue effect you have done in the parts meant to be dark, along with the red line which isn't too sharp - it all flows so nicely together. <3 Border looks fine imo. Very wear-worthy.
I also agree on the 2nd version - you'll want people's first reaction to be reading the text, right? :3 The first one would be too sharp with the character then. The background is pretty interesting, with those circles and arrows and stuff. I like that. :> Well my vote's on the 2nd anyway.

Guys.... don't forget to give feedback about the signature itself. I have observed that V1 suits more with the background than V2 does, although V2 looks more crazy fun with the strong colours. If you play around more it could get really interesting, though I'm not sure what you should do next sorry.
