This is hondas retort to the Prius even though they have a hybrid civic, this is supposed to be solely this. And the 40 miles is just programming when the engine actually needs to be kicked in which really is only under a sudden acceleration period, thats how the prius does it now, after a certain point of pressure the combustion engine kicks in, this just has more battery and rotary power. Personally I think that Honda should be pushing their FCX because I would rather see a use to hydrogen rather than doing more hybrid things.
