Theo walked over to his bike and sighed. "Chronix is the only one here who really knows what to do. Without him, now what?" Theo looked around and realized Sero was missing. "No. Not Sero too!" Then he saw Sero being led away by authorities. "Well, guys, I screwed it all up for you. These guards KNOW me. I'll see you in heaven, if my last prayers can be forgiven." Sero got kicked in the back and he steadied his pace as he walked. Theo glared at the guards, but he knew he couldn't do anything about it because he would get killed by them easily enough. They were heavily built, and they looked like they were waiting to kill Theo with one shot. Theo punched his bike, and it fell over. "WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING HERE!!!" Theo screamed in a rage. Theo was sick of everybody feeling sorry for their losses and angrily drove back to Thero city. At least the lizardmen hadn't gotten that far.
OOC: (WOW I'm behind!) Chronix, by this point, didn't care about royalty or lives anymore. Nor did he care about the war. After losing his father, Chronix knew that there was only Theo there to help him, but other than that, he refused to trust anybody. And when he saw people running in the streets because the town was filled with lizardmen, he made no move to try and help them. Theo wondered if this state of depression Chronix was going through would last forever. Chronix just walked through the city streets, carrying Jack's dead body to find a suitable grave area for him. HE did, on a hill just a ways out of town. Chronix stuck Jack's picture into the ground snugly in front of Jack's makeshift gravestone, which was Chronix's weapon. Chronix stepped back a bit. "If only I had known better. All that research.. all of it down the drain. I guess I might as well just become a civilian and wait until I die from a war. No use in fighting now." Chronix took off his armor and shoulder pad and put them on the grave too. Now Chronix was wearing his slacks, shoes, and a white tee shirt with black short sleeves. Chronix walked back into the city and made his way to his bike. Then, after one last look at his father's grave, he left for a city far away, where nobody would think to come find him. OOC: (And if one of your guys's characters tries to find him, the story will seem a lot more sad. So, uh, don't try to look for him until much later, kay?)
Ven flinched at the mention of swords. His sister's favorite weapon was anything sharp that cut through adamant, and her gigantic Cobalt and Mythril sword could do just that. Ven never liked swords, too much strain on the arms, and after you get tired enough, you can't even take the darn thing out of the ground. Ven preferred guns to bows and arrows and swords any day, as a shotgun provides enough kick to it that you know the bullet will hit, but it takes to log to use, so the pistol is better because you could just fire off repeatedly and not get tired. "Sword, eh? Too much hassle for me, once you get done fighting with it, if you went crazy you'll be too tired to pick it up, and if it's a big sword, it'll be too heavy because you threw out your back and wasted your strength fighting." Ven remembered his first try with a short sword. He flung his arm so wildly at the target that he threw it out of joint. He was in the chiropractor's office for three hours. "And aside from those dangers, you might even accidentally hack your own neck open or chop off your own arm because you can get so crazy with a sword." Ven also remembered seeing a teenager using a sword who went so crazy he hacked his own leg off at the knee. Ven flinched at that memory.
Ven was now impressed. That shot had better accuracy then the pulse gun built into his brother's left arm! And that thing NEVER missed the mark. Ven still thought there was something missing. "How about if you were surrounded by enemies and you only had that one shot? I'm not sure it would hit every one of them. But see, my gun automatically reloads itself and never needs any ammo, so I could shoot it for five years and never reload it, but I'm expecting eventually if you were shooting that thing repeatedly you would get tired, right? There's an advantage to the explosive projectile weaponry. That, and how is an arrow THAT aerodynamic?" Ven knew he must've hit a note there. He made a good point. Mainly because in a choice over which weapon would be better, his sister said you could swing a sword at high velocities of power and only slightly scathe yourself, while Ven had said with a gun you could attack multiple enemies at once and not have to worry about missing since there's no time to aim and somehow, if you have a good gun, the bullets never miss. He had won there.
Ven looked at the bow. It looked pretty sturdy. Good for hunting if he were the bowsman type. Still, Ven looked unimpressed. "If it were a crossbow, maybe it would shoot better? Just a thought, because if I were to pull the string on that, I think I might break it. It looks frayed to me." The string was fine, but Ven always saw each and every detail about weaponry, so even the smallest mark was noticed. "I'm not saying it's a bad weapon, it just needs a bit of fixing up. Then it'll work better than better. Whatever that means." Ven hated hearing this phrase from his sister. "If you do what the doctor says, you'll be better than better!" She would say when Ven got sick as a kid. Ven always turned red from hearing that phrase. It was his sister's attempt at being cute.
"Name's Ven." Ven said, not even noticing that he had caused the dead monster to explode somehow.(The cannon shot. It does that every time)But he did notice Pit staring at his gun. "You like it? Made it myself. I took the handle from a pistol and used remains of some Uzi guns for the six around the middle barrel, and the middle barrel was the remains of a single barrel shotgun I found. I welded them all together and made a revolving head for the six barrels around the seventh one. In total, about three weeks it took to finish this thing."
Ven looked over at the monsters the angel was talking about. Ven smirked and shot it in the head with a revolving twelve shots from the six barrels and a cannon shot from the seventh. The monster went down easily. "Yeah, I'm fine. My back hurts now though. OOC: (Revolving Twelve Shot and Cannon shot refer to the six barrels shooting two shots each round and the seventh shooting a very large shot once.)
Ven grunted as the arrow hit his back. Grabbing it, he ripped it out and snapped it in half. Then he saw who shot it. "What was THAT for?! I wasn't even doing anything!"
Ven looked at the dead person. He looked human, but something about him made him look different. Almost. HE was dead, for sure, so that would change somebody, but from the expression on his face of bliss and peacefulness, he looked as if he were happy to be dead. "Bad life." Ven said, before realizing there weren't any tornadoes. Just a lot of dark clouds.
Chronix saw that it was an Angelman survivor. It was the one with green hair who took the full blow from the tank. He rode up closer, then stopped. Chronix tried a name. "Tsero?" The Angelman shook his head. "No. Horus." The figure rode up beside Chronix and stopped. His short green hair that covered his right eye sort of moved along with the suddenly blowing wind. "A true tragedy, you two have had. Theo, you and Chronix have just lost your father. Jack Swade. Or rather, Dragoon Jackson Theodora. He was a good soul. Sure, he never did a d*mned thing to help my kind any, but he was good hearted through and through. Well, I guess this is it then. I only have so much time to live. Once I'm gone, the Angelmen are permanently extinct." Horus looked down and spread his wings just enough that he shielded everybody from the harsh light ahead of them. It was morning, the sun was coming over the hills. Horus looked up to the sky, and then he faded into the air, and one last nod with a smile was pointed to Chronix and Theo. Then, an Angel appeared beside him, apparently his brother, and then they were both gone up to heaven.
OOC: (WOW I missed out. I don't need any help catching up, I just now read it over. I'm gonna' start my guy now.) Ven looked up from his book. He thought he had heard something, but it turned out to be his imagination. Ven quickly got bored, so he put the book away and looked for something to do. Looking up, he saw dark swirling clouds above his head. Ven scoffed. There goes the neighborhood, a tornado's coming, he thought. Ven drove his motorcycle to the gates of the town and waited there for the impending terror. He didn't wait long before something came up and tried to hit him in the head. But, Ven had this thing where he had extremely sensitive hearing and reflexes, so he grabbed the offender's swinging arm and threw him over his head and into the wall. Ven looked at the offender. He wasn't a thief, but he looked like a hired thug. So Ven shot him.
OOC: (Yesh. Either we start, or just... wait. For something.)
Yesh. Now I am happy. :D
OOC: (A war started, most of my characters died, the three that are alive evacuated, and there's some trouble at the castle.)
OOC: (What, not even a smiley?)
Chronix barely had time to think. The three remaining fighters had to leave, immediately. Chronix quickly grabbed up Jack's dead body, as he wanted to have a burial ceremony for Jack once this was all over. Theo looked around for his steed. It was dead. Theo cursed and took a bike instead. Chronix grabbed a bike and put Jack on the back, throwing the limp body over Chronix's back. Chronix felt tears again. Chronix started the bike and drove off, Sero and Theo quickly following him. Chronix knew it was only yesterday when he met Jack, but he felt as if the badmouthing engineer knight was an old friend. Chronix heard some more bikes around him, and he saw the Geo Turks protecting him and the other two on all sides. "Don't worry, we can bury Jack in Go City. Mysidia is already in ruins, but we salvaged what's left of his home." Gadget held up a picture. Chronix looked at it. It was a picture of Jack with a woman who looked like Chronix's mother only without the wings, and he had two small children. One looked like Theo, the other looked like Chronix. Then, it came to Chronix. Was Jack his dad? Dragoon Jackson Therodora. Odd name for a person. Chronix knew now why the tears came. Upon entering Geo City, Chronix wondered why he thought there was somebody behind them. Turning around, Chronix indeed saw somebody.
OOC: (This is both gory and sad. Please bear with me. And I know you said they're impossible to beat, but these guys can kill them. Barely.) Jack stabbed the lizardman he was fighting repeatedly with his spear head. This particular reptilian foe had sliced his spear in half, so now it was a knife. JAck had three different weapons in his own back, but he had killed the three who had stuck them there. Chronix was having no trouble eliminating huge forces of lizardmen with a series of viper strike like buster flares. He and Theo were being constantly surrounded by swarms of the lizardmen, and Theo just kept stabbing his cobalt into the ground, sprouting the tree and spearing ten lizardmen on it at a time. Theo wondered ho long this was going to last. Sero was beating the tar out of his enemies. They never really stood up to him that well. As for Sin Ora and the other two Angelmen, well, Sin and Ora were the only two of them standing now. Chronix threw a huge wave of electrifying energy at the lizardmen, obliterating them on the spot. Theo had just finished off his group, so they went to help Jack. Sin got hit point blank by an arrow, and he had died, but not before pulling out a gun and with a psychotic smile, blowing his enemy's head off. Ora was stabbed repeatedly with swords, and eventually through much rebelliousness, he too fell and died. Sero was busy with his group and Jack was casting a nova like spell. Once Jack had finished it, every lizardman in the area of the explosion was wiped away. panting, the few standing warriors, Chronix Theo and Sero, looked at the city. Then, Chronix looked around for Jack, because something was wrong. Sero found Jack and looked into his eyes. They were blank, and Jack was bleeding out of the back of his head and his mouth. Jack Swade, the last of the Dragoon Magi Knights, was dead. Chronix felt strange tears welling up in his eyes. He didn't even know Jack that well, but he still felt anger and sadness. Chronix saw a lizardman looking at them, and he ran over to it, and in a blind rage full of blood drunkenness, he mercilessly stabbed the half human while at the same time shooting it. Theo and Sero had to pry Chronix off the dead body to get him to stop. Sero felt tears too, but unlike Chronix, his tears never came out.
Chronix felt the green aura begin to slightly fade, then he realized that his hand that was glowing now wielded a new weapon. It looked like the weapon he saw in the blueprints. Chronix took that blade and fused it with his double gear blade, then held the complete weapon up to the side of his face, so he could get a better swing.
OOC: (Sorry if this part is a bit sad, this is what I like to call Foreshadowing.) Jack looked around. there wasn't much support for them, it was them against a big army. Jack prayed that he would get through alive, or if not alive, at least get through it with victory. Chronix just barely heard Jack mumble solemnly "Mother... Father... I'm coming home soon." Chronix felt scared by this sudden comment. Was Jack implying that he wouldn't survive? Ora looked over at Sin and nodded. "Well, it was fun while it lasted." Theo looked at them, confused. Then, Sero said all to suddenly, "I guess it would be to late to write my will. Even if I do manage to survive. They won't let me off easy. I'll be taken in and killed by one of the tested death sentences. Well, at least I can say I should've done something better with my lousy life." Sero laughed harshly. Chronix and Theo looked at each other. They had not given up yet, nor were they about too. OOC: (Like I said, sorry for the epic drama, this is a foreshadowing for some characters who don't believe they'll survive. They predicted their own demise.)
OOC: (Kay, I'll just have Theo, Chronix, Jack, Ora, Sero, and Sin getting ready then.) Theo looked at the approaching army in the distance. Jack pulled the arrow out of his chest and coughed up a little bit of blood. Chronix didn't faint, but he felt a bit lighter for some reason. Chronix realized his arm was in pain. Looking down, Chronix realized there were strange green lines along his wrist that were making his hand glow. Chronix pulled out his sword, and realized his hand had turned white and was glowing with a green aura. Chronix felt something weird on his back and realized he had sprouted a wing(See profile for details). Chronic realized he was glowing with the green aura around him, then the aura grew into a green sort of energy shield armor. Theo had pulled out Cobalt and had gotten into a stance, Sin let his wings out to full span, Ora did the same, and the other two Angelmen got their weapons ready. Sero sighed. "Well, if I'm gonna' die, I might as well do it out of jail, eh?" Sero smiled warmly at his friends and pulled out his gun and smashed it into the ground. "No weapons for me this time." Sero said, getting into a fighting stance. Jack pulled out his spear and cast an odd spell that changed his outfit to a Dragoon Armor. Chronix sighed. That must be the Armor Summoning technique. Dragoons often used the technique to strengthen their armor, but Jack did it to come out of his hiding in an engineer outfit. Everybody braced themselves.
