Well to answer your question then yes I do.

Yeah, I'll give you that. Like if someone came at me with a knife I would always choose a long range weapon to keep my opponet at a safe distance but at the same time go into a strike of my own.

Weapons in general are like anything in life. They have their pros and cons so I can't say that there is one weapon I chose all the time.

    Edit:Why?

Yeah the only asian movies I can understand in their native language without subtitles is Korean.

That is why I like watching Kung-fu movies in there native language. It adds more to what it going on and I don't have to worry about if they truly got the translation correct. I can sit back and enjoy the film. Granted I don't know what they are saying but that is how I like my kung-fu movies subbed.

But when it boils down to it in a real fight you forget about restraint. Yes you have the voices in you head to tell you not to. But you instincts want you to fight to survive. We I was in street fights it didn't matter if I was going to hurt my opponet. Thats why I don't like the idea that you have to take the respect full aspect of fight to real life. Cause your opponets are not going to follow the same rules and guid lines that are drilled into your head over years of lectures and theories that can't be put to the test in a real fight.

But for the sake of argument I do feel bad after a fight but up until then it is either me or them.

Well being a general movie fantic I do my best to see all types of martial arts movies and other genres.

I bought a Brue Lee imersonator film a couple of days ago for laughs....well my mejor amigo and I got our laughs. It was too bad to even describe.

I don't believe it is the style you fight in...that is crap. It is all based on the level of the person themselves.

Ex:If a seasoned martial artist gets into a fight with a novice fighter who do you think is going to win. It was based on style but who has more experiance and who can read their opponet better.

But back on point. I like to know a variety of weapons styles to know so that I can adapt to any situation and not be catch off guard.

Wire-fu is more a visual martial arts type movie. More story driven and more fluid type of fighting and well more like dance fighting. It is nice though every now and then to see a "traditinal" martial arts movie. Even if the story wasn't the greatest in the world.

Yeah, pretty much any fighting style that requires too many flip to do a basic thing is pretty useless. His kicks and puches did seem a little off to me but that is the marital arts side talking. But at least then didn't over do the over exgarrated kicks and punches that in a normal fight you could take advantage of, but for a martial arts movie I was pleased with most of the fight scenes.
