Supposing that you are terminally ill, and that there are no other methods of treatment, you decide to join up in an expensive drug trial which has shown 100% rate of cure for your disease. The medication you require is quite expensive, however you have just enough cash to purchase enough medication for the entire prescription to cure you. You cannot purchase any more pills in the event that you lose one.

Over the duration of the course, you are instructed to take medication from two bottles, respectively called 'A' and 'B'. You MUST have one pill from each per day. Should you miss a day you will die. Should you take more than one pill of the same type (two A or two B etc) you will die. The pills themselves are completely indistinguishable from one another, by taste, smell, color, texture etc.

Towards the final week of the trial, with seven pills remaining from each bottle, you undertake your daily routine. You tip one pill from bottle A into your hand. However, just as you're about to tip a pill from bottle B into your hand, you are momentarily distracted. To your horror, you now realize that you have 3 pills in your hand, 1 'A' pill and 2 'B' pills.
