Ah, the SarcMark. From what I read about it, it has basically the same function as the Irony Mark, just better defined. Based on my understanding, the Irony Mark is meant to indicate linguistic irony, which includes but is not limited to sarcasm while the SarcMark is exclusively for sarcasm.
You might be thinking of the Ethiopian sarcasm mark, which resembles a slightly shorter version of the inverted exclamation point. I could be wrong, though. In all my years of using the Character Map, I've never across a mark such as that. Is it included in Unicode?
