A local group of performers did a production of Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson last summer. It so good that I bought the original cast recordings only to be disappointed that many songs weren't as good as the versions that I first heard.

Why should I do my own research into something that I have already established in my mind as bad? Not really. I've seen proof that ovaries, vulvae, and the like exist (I'm proof of that), so I don't need to actually see it. On the other hand, I have never seen any proof that good rap exists, directly or otherwise. What you seem to be saying (and please correct me if I'm wrong) is that I should have faith that good rap exists because there is no proof that it does not, but I have no basis for that faith. Should I also believe an invisible man stands in my room and eats plums while watching me sleep?
My Line of Reasoning: (NOTE: "Rap" in this case only refers to songs of the rap genre. "Good rap" refers to rap that is good by comparison to music, not other rap.) Due to the fact that I live in a neighborhood of obnoxious morons who think that their cars are radio broadcast towers, I have heard a lot of rap. Hey, it's not my fault that rap is the lowest form of music. It's even below dubstep. That said, I do acknowledge that rap and dubstep can be used well in other musical genres. I only hate them when they make of almost all of a song.
Of course it sucked. It's rap. At least it was good compared to other rap.
