" Do you mind if I come with you? I could be of help to you," Pit flapped his wings keeping up with the pace of Link.

Demyx kicked the ground frusrated with how the day was going. "Am I limbo or something and where are all the other members?"

Pit took to the air and noticed someone he had recognized. It was the hyrulian hero Link and he seemed to be running at a fast pace. "Don't tell me the master hand or bowser is at it again," he soon caught up to the hero and hovered above him.

Demyx continued his search and shrugged his shoulders. "Man there is no one here. No other members, no heartless and no nobodies."

(OOC: Sorry about not responding around 2 or 3pm. I had some things I had to do.)

From high above the heavens the angel Pit was surveying the world below. He had watched all of the events unfold and he was now becoming restless. Knowing that the goddess Palentina was mingling with the other gods and goddesses and would be gone for awhile, he decided to venture forth to the world below. Speading his wings, he free fell from the air and gracefully landed on a hill.

"Hmmm... where did eveyone go?" he began to walk through the tall grass.

In the World that Never Was, the meldious nocturne was in his room strumming the strings of his sitar. He had come forth from the darkness that had took him after his defeat by Sora and for some unknown reason, he had been brought back. He didn't remember what or who gave him back his life, but he was thrilled to exist once more. He stayed naway from the others however not wanting to be their victim of ridicule or slave to their will. Walking out of the room, he noticed that Axel and Marluxia were gone and went to some unfamilar world. Making his sitar disappear, he vanished from his room and into a valley that seemed to be unknown to him. "

Where am I?" he walked looking for someone he recognized.

Very good points fire mage and Repliku. Who knew we could debate on this with such detail. I simply can't think of anything else to add at the moment, but all I can say to wrap this up is that Demyx is a very complex mysterious character and his defeat was all the sadder in my eyes. It's really a shame that any of the organization members had to be defeated since each one of them had their own agenda and story, but when the darkness did take the melidious nocturne, the world did lose a musical soul who could of just been given a chance to prove himself to the unknown and discovered something more about himself and his talent.

Hmmm interesting. I wonder if there is a topic about Demyx's character on this forum. Yeah so anyway you make a lot of good points; however, I'm conviced that Demyx was Organization XIII material otherwisel he would not of been recriuted by which ever member who found him. This point also goes back to the melidious nocturne having two sides and the "true self" that was revealed in the game to Sora was most likey why he became part of the organization.

As for Demyx appearing to face off Sora was maybe he couldn't find Xemnas or Saix or maybe for failing to defeat Sora the first time in the underworld he was afraid of what might happen to him so he avoided Xemnas and Saix. Of course these are speculations since none of us know yet. One can only assume I suppose.

I do agree with your point of the remaining members of the organization did probaly see him as a nuissance and a failure for not completiing his mission and probaly for other things in the past that we don't know yet, but the imcompedency that Demyx protrays could also be deciet so not to viewed as a threat by the other members. Regardless Demyx was like the black sheep of the organization and therefore they sent him on a suicide mission knowing he would fail for the very last time.

To me he just stands out above the rest of the members because of his personaility and his two sides Like I said before Demyx is a very unique character and his line( "You shouldn't judge anyone by appearance.") has a lot of meaning and significane to his character overall. It conveys a message over the plot of what Master Yin said to Sora about nobodies such as they have no hearts therefore are not capable of feelings.

It also conveys a message to the player who plays as Sora. Sora was clearly being tested and had he fallen for Demyx's deciet he would surely failed which proves that Sora is naive and could of gotten himself killed by following his heart.

The way Demyx expresses himself when he was defeated shows to me that he clearly wanted to remain the way he was and that he expressed sorrow maybe out of regret because he never got to experience what it actaully felt like to have a heart even though he actually acted like he did have one. He seemed to be the happiest of the organization which would also explain why he hated to fight therfore his failure to defeat Sora and disappearance into the shadows was more of a blow to him if anything else

    Yeah that would be great.

Getting back to the topic, I still feel there was a reason behind the differences of the nobodies vanishing into the darkness. We don't know if they actually did die so I won't mention the words death, die or died. Being defeated or vanishing into the darkness seems more appropriate.

I strongly feel the difference of Larxene's defeat compared to Demyx's was different in some respect. For one thing Larxene didn't cry out when she lost her weapon which means it wasn't as vital to her and she appeared to have the figting spirit to go on and defeat Sora at his own game, proving to herself that she would accomplish her selfish conspiring goals wiith Marluxia therefore making her soul darker than Demyx.

Demyx however dropped to one knee with one hand down on the ground, and didn't get back up until he noticed his sitar disapate. He knew he had been beaten and he was clearly scared in the back of his mind. From that happening to his possession that he must of had a very strong connection to, he most likely felt his strength leaving him and knew his time had come even though he acted like even one of us would when faced with the uncertainity of what is going to happen next. He acted as if he had a heart before he vanished intot the darkness otherwise he would not moaned, cried out in sheer terror and seem to sob or cry before the darkness took him.

Also remember Demyx is the only organization member to cry out in either phyiscal or emotional pain and agony and hang his head in defeat while being on his knees. This is proven in the japanese and american versions of the game.

I totally agree with that. It seemed like out of all the nobodies Axel and Demyx seemed to show the most emotion which is what made their deaths tragic.

Ok let me explain something here. Sora is mostly ignorant and does stupid things based on not thinking about his choices or reacting without thinking. It doesn't mean he is stupid otherwise he would never learn from his mistakes and would never show growth. My reasons for hating Sora are hoping to be clear and reasonable and have a point behind them.

Yeah I admit it. If I wanted to really hate Sora it would be because he defeated my favorite character in the entire Kingdom Hearts franchise.*cough Demyx cough*. I could of really dissed Sora for haivng to see Demyx disappear in a cruel heart wrenching tragic way he did since it seemed to me his character all he wanted to do was to exist like anyone else, but Sora had to beat him like all the others, so it hurts me to say this since I love Demyx so much, I can't hate Sora for that.

It's simply a combination of his ignoraqnce, boastful attiude that gets him in trouble and he has to seek help from his friends to get out of it not to mention his lines in the game get him in that trouble such as the line he says to Sephiroth and then because of that he ends up fighting him when it could have been prevented.

Well it's hard to say, but I think it has something to do with their somebodies. For example a somebody with a strong heart becomes a heartless and retains their human form therefore a nobody is created and that nobody's element could be based on the personaility of that somebody. Like Axel's somebody could have been bad tempered or extremely impatient and Axel could of gotten those traits from that therefore because of that personaility his element would be fire. Another example would be Demyx. His element would of naturally been water since water symbolizes music with the way it flows and keeps a natural rhythum unless disturbed which it would become a violent mass of destruction to behold.

The opposite of the nobody to the somebody could also be a theory yet it has not been proven to this present.

I had to use him to beat Xaldin, but I really needed him when I had to beat Demyx and Sephiroth since they were the hardest bosses to beat for me.

The hardest heartless to beat for me are the fat bandits and the ones that resemble centaurs.
For nobodies it would be the dancers.

Hmm so many, but this is my order.

Demyx- Besides being my favorite, his sitar would be used to defend as well as attack and let's not forget his unique character.

Axel- A true fighter and his connection to Roxas and the other organization members will be interesting to discover.

Xemnas- He's the leader who makes the rules and therefore has the power to control the situations that arise.

Zexion- He's an illusionist and could easily have the advantage over his opponents.

Thank you very much that means a lot to me. I would love to be friends.

Getting back on topic it just makes a lot of sense of who his character is and why the creator chose for his defeat to be different from the rest. There is something that is hidden which makes Demyx so unique.

Xemnas is amongst the strongest and he did form the organization so it is naturally right that he would be the leader. His main intention is to become complete and knows the most about the Organization's existance as well as every members's weakness and strengths.

Ok so all of you know the truth. Demyx is my favorite character of all of Kingdom Hearts so I've done a lot of research of his character, what his motives are and what he reveals and hides which parallels to all of your therories of the whole fading in light water darkness topics.

First off when Roxas joined the Organization, Axel was put in charge of him and since Demyx always looked up to Axel with a high regard, he befriended Roxas as well even though nobodies can't truly have any feelings for anything and that each nobody has their own alterior motive as explained in a interview with the creator of the game Kingdom Hearts 358/2 days.

So in order to hide his motives, Demyx acted in a friendly gesture alongside of Axel who took a liking to Roxas and accompanied him with his missions whereas Demyx was seen as imcompedent by the other members and could most likey not be trusted to do any missions that were very important at that time. Now it is not explained what Demyx has been doing or what his motives are so one can only assume that he did what he was told to do by the senior members and stayed out of their way so not to get in trouble for that could spell some sort of harsh punishement by Xemnas.

Once Roxas betrayed Organization XIII with the unknown reason as of now, Demyx changed his outlook on the 13th member viewing him as a traitor. This is due to the fact that Demyx has an other side; his true nature of what he conceals from the rest of the organization and anyone else. His true nature or true self is where his intentions are kept hidden due to reasons that would most likely bring forth speculation amongst the members and put him in dangerous situations so he puts on this farce to fool everyone and make them think he is not a threat.

With that all in mind,Where Nothing Gathers Xemnas orders Demyx to go after Sora and Xigbar reminds him once again as told in the Kingdom Hearts II novel .
Demyx comes upon Sora knowing in true nature that Roxas is in the vessel of Sora. After Sora beats him the first time without even fighting him except his water clones, Demyx speaks to Sora and says "Roxas come back to us" and then vanishes most likey back to the World that Never Was.

The second time in Hollow Bastion, Demyx appears again and acts in a friendly manner towards Sora once again trying to fool him. Sora insults him and the nobody reminds him by saying the quote "You shouldn't judge anyone by appearance." He was hoping that Sora would get the hint and almost completly fools him when Sora puts his guard down; however Goofy and Donald remind Sora that nobodies don't have hearts. Knowing Sora is not going to fall for his deciet anymore, Demyx then reveals his true side and says "Silence traitor!" His expression becomes deathly serious, his tone much lower and his eyes a sinister narrowed glare. His true motives about Roxas are fully revealed and he fights to the best of his ability much to the shock of Sora and his comrades.

When Sora does defeat Demyx, his beloved sitar disappears leaving him in shock and horror when he feels his spirit fading back into the darkness. When he screams his last words "No way!" he is clearly attempting to show horror and fright like that of someone who is afraid to die not knowing what will happen once it happens. He then cries out and moans as a light shoots from his soul wheras his element of water disapates and the darkness takes him. The light that is shown is clearly that of his element of water as well as could be his soul leaving for he did act like he did have a heart like Axel showed therefore his entire body was not covered in darkness (he wasn't as evil as the others were). Let's not forget that his true side however was just as ruthless and devious as the others which was why his body did fade away into the darkness like the rest. With these two speculations set in place , Demyx's defeat was very unique from the rest which explains there is more to his charcter that meets the eye.

I don't think so. I beleive he just has his own plans and doesn't want to involve Sora if he doesn;t have to.
