You don't have to use it. Just download the newest version, though. I'm pretty sure that would help.
Do you have DivX? If not, download it. You probably don't have the right codecs to view the videos probably. I had the same problem, only with Bleach episodes. Download the newest edition, it will have all of the original and new codecs.
