He glared into the blue eyes that were piercing him as well, knowing that since that hadn't happened, he would have to kill the boy himself. The boy's voices echoed throughout the room, and Kairi faintly heard them, making her want to cry. But she couldn't, not now. It would only make things harder to deal with, make things more difficult for Sora. If he saw her like that, she had a feeling it wouldn't go over well.

"I've noticed," Nathaniel growled, pressing back against Sora's blades. The plan had turned for the worse in all. He and his father had planned on Sora failing to complete his mission, to fall to the Heartless after leaving his love behind. Without it, they figured he would be weaker, but it turned out it had only made him stronger.

Nathaniel heard the cry quick footsteps behind him and whirled around, holding up his sword. It was then that he heard the clash of metal, and he knew he had blocked Sora's attack.

Nathaniel grunted as he pushed himself up from the ground. He angrily threw his shield to the side, wincing at the pain it brought his wrist; there was no point in having it now. He couldn't use that wrist any longer due to the pain. He would try one more time, but if his attempt didn't work, he would resort to power Sora would not be happy to face.

Nathaniel gathered enough breath to let out a scream of agony, his wrist feeling like it was on fire from the force put on his shield. His eyes closed tightly and his scream faded. Once that happened, he swung his sword over his body and in the direction of where his pain was coming from, hoping to somehow hit Sora. Kairi clutched Sora's leather coat tighter to her chest, wincing faintly at the sound of Nathaniel's pain. This was torturous to listen to, but she couldn't leave.

Nathaniel suddenly felt something hit his legs, the boy falling backward and getting the wind knocked out of him. He winced as he tried to catch his breath, at the same time becoming very angered. Sora was too quick for him, he realized. If things didn't turn in his favor soon, he was going to have to resort to something that would make him greater than Sora, in more ways than one.

Nathaniel lowered his shield but not in time. He cried out in pain at a sharp and stinging sensation that burned his torso, knowing Sora had gotten him with one of his blades.
That's a good question... I really don't know. =/
Nathaniel's eyes widened at the quickly-approaching Keyblade and he lifted his shield just in time to block the blow. He heard the metal blade bounce off his shield, the Prince feeling a rush of relief wash over him before he remembered one thing: his shield was blocking his view of Sora.
