Unbeknownst to him, Nathaniel was frozen by Sora's spell, his form in mid-step. His eyes, even if frozen in time, could be easily recognized as expressing darkness.

Kairi looked down at Sora again, seeing him struggle, before her eyes found Nathaniel. She felt herself begin to panic, but she didn't know what to do! Nathaniel took another step forward, his footstep giving out a low thud. He released a short roar as a threat, his dark green eyes looking directly at Sora. He wanted to breathe fire, but the Princess was right next to the Keyblade master.
Okay. But what you did with Sora was unexpected. xDD
Kairi gasped, jumping slightly from the fallen debris. When she saw what happened to the boy who was protecting her, she couldn't help what she yelled next. "Sora!" she cried, but she didn't have time to stare; Nathaniel's loud footsteps caught her attention beyond her worry, the redhead seeing him gradually beginning to approach.
Anyway, we are still going through with the whole building-collapsing-on-Nathaniel thing correct?
Kairi stared at the back of Sora's head, hesitating with her answer. She wanted to tell him that she wasn't going to leave without him, but at the same time, she knew the attempt would be useless; he would just tell her to forget about him and go anyway. "Okay," she answered finally, looking over his shoulder again when the large dragon stomped toward them once more, hissing.

Kairi looked down at the ground when Sora set her down, her heart beating rapidly. She looked up, though, when something from the upper floor fell down a few feet in front of her. The fire was still going on up there, and the fact that Nathaniel had swung his tail against the walls probably hadn't helped the building's already weak shape. The girl froze at the thought of the boy. Nathaniel... Nathaniel pushed himself up, still in his dragon form. He felt all of the debris that had fallen on top of him slide off, his eyes looking around immediately. There, on the other side of the room he saw Kairi...in Sora's arms. The Prince instantly felt infuriated at the sight, the Princess supposed to be his. He stomped forward one step and roared in fury.

Kairi watched as Sora lowered to the ground, her eyes staying on the floor until he was actually standing again. She kept her grasp on him, which was still tight from fear and shock. Everything that was happening, it was so fast-paced and hectic. Kairi looked up at Sora, who was much closer to her now, and despite all of the danger, she realized that she was actually touching him again. He was holding her in his arms; it felt wrong because of what she had done to him, but at the same time, it felt wonderful.

Kairi was surprised when Sora reached her, but now she clung to him, her eyes squeezed shut in fear. She heard the floor fall...but she didn't scream, because she didn't feel them fall. The girl had her head buried in Sora's neck, and she pulled back slightly, looking over her own shoulder and to the ground. Her grasp on Sora tightened more when she realized that they weren't even touching the ground anymore.

Kairi gasped, her eyes having followed Sora as he was knocked away. She looked at him worriedly, but then heard crumbling. She turned her attention back to Nathaniel, watching as the dragon forgot about Sora for the moment and looked at the ground. He then stepped to the side, but that only caused the floor to fall. She watched with widened eyes as the floor broke through underneath the dragon, the beast crying out as it fell to the lower floor. But it was then that Kairi saw that the falling floor was like breaking ice, crumbling and giving in all throughout the room. She pushed herself farther against the wall, clutching Sora's leather jacket tightly in one of her hands. The whole room was going to collapse!

Nathaniel lifted his head slightly, at the same time spinning around quickly and swinging his tail once more. He felt the heat cascade over his tail as he swung it in Sora's direction, hearing the flames licking at the walls and furniture that were nearby. The fire, especially once he breathed it again, was only going to spread.
How would you like to do this? You said you wanted to protect Kairi when that happens.
Nathaniel cried out in pain, a raspy scream leaving his throat at the blades that were driven through his skin. He could feel the heat from his flames earlier, as well as the icy cold Sora had casted on his lips for the time being. One thing he also felt was fury, and he was going to kill the Keyblade master in his dragon form, knowing it was stronger.
