To be frank, I use action replay to get shinies, but that's it. That is not to say I haven't caught a shiny pokemon outside of the cheat device, (Medicham, Graveller, Tailow, and Skitty), but I don't use the device to alter stats; I just use it for shinies and collecting the pokemon that aren't available in the other versions, cause I can't trade with anyone (teardrop).
