Wait a second. Sora and Roxas are having a Keyblade fight after all?? When he flips out on him, you mean?
"Where were you guys even at?" Roxas asked, that having been a constant question on his mind. "A dragon in New York would have been a little noticeable." He also wondered where Kairi was during all this, but he decided he wasn't going to ask; Sora obviously protected her. She was alive, after all.
Mhm. But I do have a question: I mentioned Axel and Namine being involved when Roxas fought Sora against his own will. Now that they're not...
"So he obviously used his darkness to help make the transformation," Roxas assumed, declaring it and not questioning it. It could only be the power of darkness that would result in such a thing. But still, Nathaniel had seemed odd to him earlier, but he never would have guessed he would turn into a dragon, of all things.
It's okay, though. I got it now. =)
Roxas arched an eyebrow. A dragon? "You're kidding," he said, though he knew that Sora was definitely not kidding. But a dragon, in New York? How exactly did that happen?
...Crap. xDD
Roxas set his arm back where it had been before, letting it rest on the arm of the couch. He thought for a moment and then spoke a question that came to mind. "How powerful was his darkness?" he asked, eyes resting on Sora. "You seem pretty beat up."
Ah, right.
"'Kay, see you in a little bit," Roxas said, his eyes moving from his friend to the floor. He hung up the phone after that, flipping it shut and putting it back in his pocket. His protective instinct was kicking in, the boy hoping Namine would be careful on her way over here. Of course, he knew how careful she was these days, so he knew he shouldn't be entirely worried.
Didn't have a right to? xD That's the only part that confused me. Which is good, btw. xP
"They're fine," Roxas replied then, answering the question. "Kairi's at home and I'm sitting at Sora's right now. He actually wants to talk to you." His eyes lifted to the guy sitting in the room with him as he said this. "You wanna come over here? Sora said he could answer any questions, if you have any."
Okay, so we're going with scenario 2 then, but instead of Roxas being controlled and used against his own friends, he's just...tortured? And not...
"Hey, it's Roxas," the boy said immediately. He was sure she knew that, but he said it anyway. He leaned his elbow against the arm of the couch, supporting his arm as he held the phone to his ear. "You okay?" He figured he should ask that first, considering he could tell that, even through one simple word, Namine was still shaken up by yesterday's call from Sora.
Sure, sounds good.
Roxas nodded wordlessly and reached into his pocket, pulling out his phone. He flipped it open and speed-dialed his girlfriend, bringing the phone to his ear. He remembered how worried Namine had been for her best friend, and Sora. Roxas hadn't talked to her yet today, so she was probably still concerned.
Just saw the movies. xD
Roxas's eyes had been set on Sora when he walked into the room, and he looked at his friend now, meeting his gaze. He seemed different, probably from the battle he went through the day before. Roxas knew how that was, a little too well.
Right. And what can happen after that...I'm not entirely sure.
Roxas wiped his shoes off on the rug inside and then shrugged his coat off his shoulders, hanging it up in the entryway. He then ran a hand through his hair, starting for the living room. Once he was in the room, he sat down on the couch, leaning back into the cushion and exhaling a breath. He wasn't entirely sure why he came inside now that he thought about; he had come with intentions to just drop the crutches off, and then head back home.
