When Kairi saw that Sora picked up the crutches, she leaned down and focused on getting off her boots. After a few seconds she had them both off and she placed them neatly against the wall. She then straightened and turned her head, her eyes finding Sora again. Roxas glanced toward the doorway after a minute of silence, and he was about to unleash an "Anytime, you two!", but decided against it. He knew Sora; he would beat him up even if he did have crutches. Roxas smiled to himself, imagining his friend would be one to use them to his advantage. It made him want to laugh as he stared at the chair beneath him.

Kairi shrugged off her coat, her back to Sora. She took it off and hung it up, making sure she wasn't in Sora's way. She took off her hat as she glanced at him, hanging it up where she put her coat up as well. Roxas sat back in the chair he was occupying, staring at the wall. He didn't hear anything from Sora and Kairi, but he didn't really care. With that threat, though, he figured Sora would have been in here as fast as he could. But of course, he was with Kairi again, so it was understandable. Besides, Roxas didn't mind; he would rather not be "dead meat".

Kairi took a step forward when Sora stepped back, and then she walked around him a few steps, making sure to step over the crutches on the floor. She looked down at them in amusement, but otherwise started to take off her coat now that she was out of the way of the door, and the cold weather.
It was worth the pain, right? xP
Kairi nodded, her smile softening some. "Sure," she agreed. After a few more seconds of looking at the boy in front of her, she let her hand fall from his chest. She honestly hadn't even thought of stepping any further into the house, and now that she remembered what was going on around them, she noticed that she still had on her coat and boots. Kairi believed it was time to take them off.

Kairi looked away from the doorway that led to the living room when she felt a gaze on her, and she turned her head to match it. She smiled up at Sora, lifting a hand and lightly gripping the front of his shirt as she stood in front of him.
I'm truly smiling right now. xD That was funny!
Roxas plopped down in his chair again, and upon hearing the words, he simply laughed. It was good to know that things were getting back to normal. Kairi heard Roxas's laughter echo into the entryway, and she chuckled herself. This moment, right here, made up for all of the ugly ones she had faced recently. Even if it didn't last that long.

That works. I still got to do what I wanted to with Roxas. xDD
Kairi turned her head a little bit when Sora did, and she saw Roxas and Namine staring at them with silly looks on their faces. "Hey..." she said, her eyebrows furrowing despite the smile on her face. She was about to accuse them of spying, but what Roxas did next made her stop. Roxas's grin vanished as his eyes widened. "Uh-oh!" he said, knowing that he and Namine were caught in the act. He grinned sheepishly and then darted back into the living room before any words could be said.

Roxas blinked in surprise at Sora's move, shocked that he could do that with an injured ankle. Of course, he was sure his friend didn't even care anymore, now that he had the person he loved back in his arms. Kairi had squeaked a little in surprise when Sora lifted her, but by the end of it, she was grinning in joy. Sora's chuckle reached her and echoed in her ears, a sound she hadn't heard for a long time. It was lovely, the girl letting her hands rest on his shoulders now. She looked up at him, her emotions being expressed through her eyes, just as Sora's were.
