"Okay..." Roxas said, getting suspicious. Did she want him to talk to Sora about this? It had been a few days, and things were better than they were earlier this week, but only by a little bit. "I hate to ask this of you, Roxas, but could you please try and talk to him?" Kairi said softly. "You were with him for two of those months. Maybe he'll feel better talking to you about it, you know?" Roxas rubbed his hand over his hair, his suspicions confirmed. "Yeah, I guess I can give it a shot," he agreed finally. He wasn't sure if it would go over very well, since Sora was a little quiet these days. But he would try for Kairi. It was the least he could do.
I guess I can try. =/ What're you doing this evening, if you don't mind me asking?
"I know it sounds bad, but it's just something that's been on my mind lately," Kairi explained, feeling guilty for even thinking such a thing. Roxas leaned forward as he sat in his chair. "So why aren't you talking to him about this?" he asked, not meaning to sound as rude as he did. "Um..." Kairi bit her lip and tucked some of her hair behind her ear, not really sure what to say. "Well, it's just that I don't think he would be as...open with me about it. I've tried talking to him about his mission and he wouldn't say much about it. It makes me uneasy."
Mhm. Btw, I won't be able to be on very long today. Smothered, again. Dx It like, never stops.
"In a way, I guess that's it," Kairi admitted, looking down at the pictures in front of her. Her eyes focused on one of Sora. "I just don't understand how he couldn't be angry with me; he never was. You know what I mean?" Roxas nodded, despite the fact that Kairi couldn't see it. "Yeah, I get what you're saying," he told her. If Namine had been with another guy, he would have been deeply upset, and surely anger would have been a part of it. "But, I think there's something else," Kairi said. "Somebody else." "Kairi, do you think Sora's cheating on you?" Roxas asked, lifting a brow. That seemed highly unlikely to him, but then again, he could never be too sure. Things had changed, but still. Roxas didn't think Sora would do that.
Haha. It's okay. Everyone has their moments. xD
Kairi bit her lip and messed with the string of her lounge pants. "Um... It's Sora," she said quietly. "I think there's something...going on with him." Roxas arched an eyebrow as he stared at the television screen. "What do you mean?" he asked, a little confused. Sora seemed just fine to him, even if he was different from the mission as well. Was that what Kairi was talking about? "Like, he's been so kind to me lately. I mean, there's nothing wrong with that or anything," Kairi quickly said, before Roxas could interject. "But when things revolved around Nathaniel for a little while, he was nothing but nice to me." "So...you think he was wrong to be nice?" Roxas asked, his eyebrows furrowing. He hoped that was what she was getting at, because that was all he could come up with from her explanation. It sounded bad, but he would let Kairi further explain, and hopefully prove him wrong.
Heh, me too. xD
Kairi reached for her phone sitting on her mattress and immediately dialed Roxas's number, needing to talk to someone about this. She heard it ring a couple times and hoped he would answer, and wasn't busy with something. Roxas blinked when he heard his phone ring from beside him, the boy pausing his game before grabbing it. "Hello?" he said. "Roxas, it's Kairi. Are you busy with anything?" Kairi asked softly, not wanting to disturb him. If he was with Namine, she would just call back later. "No, not really," Roxas answered truthfully. He could tell by Kairi's tone something wasn't right, but he didn't jump to conclusions. "What's up?"
Probably not. *sigh*
What if he's doing this to make up for something he did? What if...he found somebody else too, while he was gone? The thought was unpleasant, but it was a possibility that Kairi acknowledged. She hadn't expected to find somebody either, and it happened. The same thing could have happened to Sora. She set the picture she was staring at down on her bed, brushing her bangs away from her face. She didn't like that thought, at all. But, why else was he so understanding of Nathaniel?
xD Yeah, it said some file was infected, and I dunno what to do about it. Clearly what she tried didn't work. Dx
Kairi couldn't figure out what exactly triggered her thoughts like this, but she couldn't ignore them now. She asked Sora about his mission a couple times, but he wouldn't really talk about it for some reason. However, he was super kind to her and treated her very well. Kairi thought about his kindness over the last couple days, and she couldn't think of anything but there being a specific reason behind his behavior, something she actually feared.
Yup, have it open and right here in front of me. =) Of course, I had to email it to myself. Dx The internet on my computer account won't work,...
A few days later... Kairi sat in her room, looking through old pictures simply for the memories. There were a lot of her and Sora when they were younger, before they had met Roxas and Namine. She smiled at one of the photos, where she surprised Sora with the camera. His blue eyes were wide and his mouth was half-open when she took the shot, but it made her smile anyway. Kairi remembered how he whined after taking the picture because he wasn't ready, but he hadn't been mad; he was always really sweet. Kairi stared at the next picture, of Sora holding two fingers above her head as she smiled at the camera. Sora had always been really kind, even when something was wrong. She couldn't help but wonder about the same thing these days.
xD Okay then.
Well, it doesn't really matter to me. We can do whatever.
Not much of anything really. My mom got my internet working again. Yay!! 8D On the downside, though, I have no idea what to say in this RP,...
Hi there. =)
Roxas felt Namine's head rest on his shoulder, taking in a breath. He was a little confused; just a few moments ago she had barely wanted to speak to him. Now she was holding his hand and being close to him. Despite the fact that he didn't completely understand, he was glad. It showed that after all he'd done, Namine still loved him to a degree. Roxas wasn't sure if that degree was very great, but it was still there.
