"I'm sorry," Kairi said again, having heard Sora's groan. She knew that wasn't going to help anything at this point, though. Sora had never actually gotten mad at her before, but she could see that he was upset with her. She felt sad at the realization, but it was her fault.
=) So the RP is going very well. :3
"I was on the phone with him when you came over," Kairi started to explain. She lowered her eyes to the floor again, linking her fingers together in front of her. "And we were talking about you. I asked him to talk to you for me...and I guess he hid the phone." She had heard everything, even the thud of Sora being pushed into the wall.
She's adorable. I'll have to send you a picture. :3
"...What you told Roxas," Kairi said after a second's hesitance, lifting her eyes to Sora finally. That was what she wanted to talk about. What she heard had been frightening and terrible, and as hard as it was going to be to discuss it, she wanted to. Sora seemed very uptight about it, and upset. Kairi wanted to help in any way she could.
Perhaps, if it works. xD But she said she really doesn't want another one, that she doesn't need another. "I'm not keeping that cat." Haha.
Kairi opened her eyes, but stared at the floor. "I really need to talk to you, but you said you didn't want to come over," she explained. "It was my last resort." And it was true. She would never take things to such a level unless she was serious about something, and she was definitely serious about talking to him. That is, if Sora was still willing to talk to her after this.
I've heard her call that cat "beautiful" for the last 15 minutes. I think so. xD
Kairi closed her eyes at Sora's higher tone, though she could hear how heavily concerned he had been. "I'm sorry," she said sadly. However, she felt that wasn't going to be enough to cover what she'd done. She knew it wasn't.
If anything, my mom will crack first. xP
Kairi lowered her eyes to her hands, taking in a breath. "...I lied," she admitted softly, not lifting her eyes again to meet his gaze. She didn't want to look at him when she confessed what was really going on. "There weren't any noises... Nobody was trying to break in." It was all a lie to get you here, she thought, guilt heavy in her heart.
Yeah. xD But she's adorable! I want to name her Trinity, but since we can't keep her... =/
Kairi stopped at the bottom step, nervously pressing her fingertips together in front of her. What did she hear? She would tell him, and it would be the truth. "Um...a few minutes ago, I heard somebody very close to me telling their best friend that they had a near-death experience while they were away," she said softly, glancing up at Sora with her periwinkle eyes.
See, we already have 2, so my parents don't want another one, no matter how cute and cuddly she is. xD
Kairi didn't say anything as she descended the steps from the second floor to the first, the girl having her head down slightly. She glanced up at Sora once she reached the bottom, still nibbling on her lip. What was she going to say?
Aw, I wish! We're keeping it for a few days to see if it belongs to anybody, but then we're gonna give it to APL and hopefully it gets a good...
Kairi heard Sora and got off her bed, walking to her bedroom door and opening it before stepping out. She walked down the hall and then turned the corner to reach the steps. From the top she could see the front door, and there she saw Sora. The girl bit her lip lightly, putting her hand on the banister as she started to descend.
Mhm... A little orange kitty. :3
Kairi hung up and set her phone down on her bed, sighing softly. She lowered her eyes to the pictures spread out before her, and she looked at them blankly. Her thoughts were capturing her attention for now. She felt terrible for what she was doing to Sora, making him think and do. He was trying to protect her, when she lied about a threat. Kairi felt bad about it, but it was the only way to get him here; she had to remember that.
Sorry I was late; we had a little surprise show up at my house. ;3
