Kairi smiled lightly, looking at Roxas and then at Namine. "What're the chances that we'd run into you here?" she said, pure curiosity in her voice. She hadn't really talked to either of the two blondes for the last day or so, even if she had texted Roxas a few times to tell him how sorry she was for what she put him through. Roxas shrugged slightly, forcing a small smile. The chances were probably pretty slim, but so was the possibility that he and Sora would actually talk today.
Kairi kept her eyes on the couple for the moment, making eye-contact with Roxas. She lifted her free hand slightly and waved, still confused. Obviously Sora hadn't called them. This must have been coincidence that they were here at the same time. Roxas gave an awkward smile, waving back weakly. Great, so what was he supposed to do now? He couldn't remember half the stuff he meant to say to Sora a day or two ago. And now he was getting the sense of deja vu; this had happened before in the past, he knew it. But there was nothing he could do about this now. He squeezed Namine's hand for reassurance as they grew closer to Sora and Kairi, his eyes moving to the blonde for a second or two.

Kairi looked up at Sora when she heard the names. "What?" she asked, confused. What was Sora talking about? Were Namine and Roxas nearby? The girl turned her head to look around, and her eyes instantly fell on the couple just yards away from them, coming toward them along the path. She blinked in surprise. They were here too?

Roxas rubbed his hand a couple times over the back of his hair as he looked at Namine, then at the couple they were approaching. He lowered his hand the moment he met Sora's eyes, then letting his sight fall to the ground. He knew instantly that they weren't going to just pass each other; they were going to greet each other, of course. But he knew that this also was a chance for him to try to set things right. After all, Sora hadn't called or texted back, so the fact that they were about to be face to face could help him talk to him...if he could remember what he wanted to say.
I honestly have no idea whatsoever.
Roxas followed Namine's head motion, his eyes gazing forward. When he finally spotted what she had obviously been wanting him to see, he blinked slightly in surprise. What were the chances that Sora and Kairi would be here? Roxas, however, didn't know whether to take it as a good sign. He glanced back at Namine, at the same time bringing his free hand up to rub over the back of his spikes.
xD Okay, that's fine.
Roxas's head turned sharply toward Namine, the boy alert by her nudge. His eyes held wonder in them, the boy curious as to what she wanted when he met her gaze.

Roxas's eyes lingered on a melting snowman nearby, the boy not really paying attention today. He had a lot on his mind, but when didn't he these days? It seemed that there was always something, no matter what. It saddened him a little, but he knew that was life. He had to keep his chin up, even if it was hard. Kairi squeezed Sora's hand slightly when she felt his motion against her cold skin. She could feel her nose going numb as they continued their walk, but she didn't care; they needed this after all the time they spent inside. Whenever they were outdoors, things were somehow better. Kairi bet it was because she and Sora had been so active outside at Destiny Islands, though the weather was the opposite.

Roxas tucked his free hand in his coat pocket, exhaling a soft breath, a small cloud forming in front of him as he did so. He glanced at Namine out of the corner of his eye before looking forward again. Their walk was silent and casual, and he didn't mind that at all; it let him know that things were getting back to normal, even if it was a slightly slower process than he thought. Not only that, but after his problems with Sora, this was one of the brighter events of his life right now. Kairi's gaze was focused on the ground for the moment, the girl quiet ever since she and Sora left her house. He had suggested a walk, surprisingly, which she was up for after being cooped up in the house lately. Things between them were quiet since the other day, but that was okay; things were getting on the right track again, and that was all that really mattered to her. Of course, she was still worried about Sora, but she didn't try to let it show; he needed his privacy sometimes, and she was going to give it to him.
Okie dokie.
A day or two later... Roxas walked hand in hand with Namine beside him, the two strolling through the park. The last day or two had been pretty quiet, and he knew why: he'd gotten on Sora's bad side. He never knew such a thing really existed until now, but with his friend not taking his calls and ignoring his texts, it was kind of obvious.

Kairi sat there in silence with Sora, not feeling the need to fill it. Perhaps that was something natural between them; neither ever really had to constantly say something. They were comfortable with each other even through silence. Kairi knew that hadn't changed, because she could feel it now.
