Karina nodded at both Eon and Base as they offered to come with her, Krowley and Vincent. They seemed to be building a strong team. She was not overly familiar with Base's strengths but he looked like he could handle his own. As for the rest he had fought with them before and knew where their skills lay. She figured they would be ready for whatever came their way. She was glad she wasn't on the escort mission, that really wasn't her thing she only liked to fight. She was far from a people person.

    Spirox War

Zylens eyes widened as he heard a voice at his door. One he didn't particularly want to hear, but knew it was coming. The door creaked open but no one could be seen inside. Once again even in his own room Zylen hid in the shadows, talking to Damnation from the dark. "The mission didn't go as planned...." He reported, his voice emotionless though his mind was scared of Damnation. He never let his emotions effect him, he kept them hid away in the depths of his mind, and talked without emotions. "While I was fighting the cat the girl snuck up behind and paralyzed me.... But they didn't escape unwounded. I am afraid I was to cocky and thought I could fight without my weapon." He admitted. Zylen was ashamed of his performance but would accept the punishment for failing. It was his own fault after all.

Zage knew she needed to get help, but how? Damnation wasn't going to do anything and as far as she knew there was no one else around to help. She got to her feet hands still shaking. She was barely able to stand but stumbled forward none the less. She was still sniffling and crying slightly, but if she could get somewhere more in public perhaps she could get more help. "Someone please.... I-I don't want to be alone..." Zage cried out. But as she walked she realized, who would ever want to help someone like her? As Damnation said no one that mattered cared for her, she was only wanted for her body. Who would be there for her when she was in pain and her body didn't matter? On top of that she probably looked like a mess with her makeup running and face tear stained. Zage made it to the main street before collapsing to her knees once again.

Xepphiras sighed slightly seeing that Ananta didn't seem to care that much about her past. It didn't seem to change her views about the darkness or her. It shouldn't have been surprising to her, a lot of people got stuck in their ways, but this didn't stop her from hoping. From the other side of the curtain she over heard a conversation between R and what sounded like it could be Gexln, neither sounded impressed by the situation they where in. " I won't die to that thing.... We will win. My sister couldn't kill me, neither could the darkness... I won't let this thing destroy me either." Xepphiras stated as she tried to sit up a bit. Her strength may have lacked but she had plenty of determination. Xepphiras didn't want to die now, not after growing as much as she had. No she would win.

After Ananta helped her get dressed Xepphiras laid back down once more. She was planning on staying awake while Ananta healed R but she could barely keep her eyes open anymore. Xepphiras eyelids grew heavy and eventually shut. With mere minutes of closing her eyes she was out cold, whisked away to the world of dreams. For now she was safe from everything that threatened her in the real world. Nothing could reach her here. Or so she thought.

Karina looked around at the others before stepping up beside Vincent. "I will go with you two.... " she said quietly. She didn't care where she went so she chose who she went with. She could stand Krowley and Vincent so they where her chose.

Besides the obvious Kingdom Hearts I have to say that Dark Cloud was one of my Favourite playstation games. I never found it difficult to follow the story lines of either the first or second game. (unlike some games*cough cough*) And I actually enjoy the dungeon system for going in and fighting enemies and such. I also enjoyed rebuilding the towns and finding out who wants what and where to put things trying to make people as happy as possible. And in my personal opinion it has good replay value.

"Psh. Don't try to use flattery to get into my good books. It doesn't work. And I don't plan. And I am not helpful. Just leave me be. Once we begin to fight then I will do something. Until then, you can make all the silly plans you want. From my experience they never go the way you want and just blow up in your face. I live in the moment and for action." Karina scoffed as she slowly walked away Base to the other side of the group still in the background. The place she liked to be best. A place no one would pay attention to her and she could be left to herself in order to think and no one talked to her. The only time she ever stepped in was in battle.

    Origins

Dmitri simply rolled his eyes at Noirs plan. He grabbed the cloth from India. It though Noir did have a decent idea. There was no way he would work with Dain. Instead he would use Noir's idea to get himself down but that was it. Dain could handle the rest. It would take a lot of concentration to keep the flame small enough to provide the hot air and not burn the cloth. He knew for a fact Dain wouldn't make it easy for him. It seemed every time he spoke he made Dmitri more and more aggravated. Dmitri had to come up with a way to get his considerations back. The idea almost came easily. He would simply make it a challenge between him and Dain. Who could reach the ground in the least time but still safely. Dmitri ran and jumped head first. "Race you to the bottom." He challenged Dain as he passed him. It was only seconds after that that he unfolded the cloth and let it catch him in the air flow. He let out a few small puffs of fire to fill the make shift parachute with hot hair and let him self slowly descend for a bit. He wouldn't bother using his fire to create an upwards thrust from his feet until he was closer to the ground.

The sound of R's voice on the other side of the curtain came as a slight comfort to her. He was threatening Ananta but about her safety. Ananta seemed to be finished with her magic but her body was still preparing itself causing pain. As much as Xepphiras didn't want to talk about her past, it would distract her from the pain and for once she knew emotional pain would not follow. "Asking about these scars is like asking about the root of my darkness. Are you sure you want to know?" Xepphiras paused to give time for a response but started talking soon after, no matter the response. "When I was ten, after my brother left to train as a keyblade wielder, my sister and I went on a vacation with our parents. Something happened to Kaya during that trip to Traverse Town.... Her true desires where shown. Her lust for power, strength, and worst of all darkness." Xepphiras sighed. In all honesty she didn't blame Ananta for being fearful and hateful of the darkness. " She sent heartless into the house I was staying in to destroy us, but I hid and got to watch parents die and the heartless leave. At the time I didn't know the heartless had anything to do with Kaya. Shortly after Kaya fame home. I ran to hug her and seek protection in her arms but instead was kicked to the ground. She beat me and sliced me many times before leaving me for dead. When I did not die she took me to twilight town. These me out there as a place to however from my brother if he had come looking. " Xepphiras voice trailed off. The rest of the story was not relevant to her scars really, simply to the darkness, but perhaps sharing would bring the woman to an understanding. "In twilight town instead of people helping me. The backed off and wouldn't come near me. I was spit on and rejected. This is when I discovered I could use the darkness. Time to time I would get so angry and frustrated that darkness would take me over and I would fight. But it put so much strain onmy body. Eventually R found me with my sister's help and taught me to control it and use it to my advantage. But I never truly had control until Xindai found me and forced me into a dark place and the darkness overcame me. R had saved me and rescued my mind. He is the reason I am here, even if I am simply a nobody." Xepphiras finished her explanation, her wounds were feeling better and the distraction had helped. However now the lady knew far more it Xepphiras past then she liked people to know. Her only hope was that she wouldn't judge her so harshly for residing in the darkness anymore.

"No...." Xepphiras protested once more but her voice wasn't strong and she didn't really put up a fight as Ananta picked her up to carry her to the bed. "And Xepphiras, not girl." She added before going quiet. As Xepphiras's body touched the bed she relaxed. She had not laid in a bed for years. There was no such luxury when living in the woods or in war. She felt as though she could pass out almost instantly but didn't. A cold draft caused Xepphiras to shiver as Ananta removed her clothing. Now not only could Ananta see the cuts, bruises and scars caused by the war, but the old ones as well. The ones that Xepphiras always tried to keep concealed and forget about. She closed her eyes and attempted not to think about it, possibly even fall asleep, but as Ananta started to work on her injuries she couldn't fall asleep, it hurt far to much. She groaned and closed her eyes tight and clenched her fists. One side of Xepphiras didn't believe that Ananta was helping but instead slowly killing her, which at this point she no longer cared. But at the same time she did believe it was possible that her darkness was just reacting to the light causing pain. When Ananta was between wounds she opened her eyes for a minute and chuckled slightly. It wasn't particularly an amused chuckle, just a noise to make. "It's funny.... Someone so great could care this much about a scum bag nobody like me.... Saving me repeatedly... making sure I got healed first. I don't understand." Xepphiras said as she settled back down. This only lasted a second however before her body tensed again in pain. "Ow....." She groaned.

"Not necessarily." Karina finally spoke up. Even with the leader gone, if there is an ideal there that remains mutual among the mob, a new leader with simply come and take Gaston's place. Do not jump to conclusions so quickly." For once Karina was using her knowledge gained from her families military lineage. This was all she was going to say though. Karina didn't feel much like talking but she did need to bring up a point to the rest of them.

Xepphiras barely looked around as they landed at Crystalis. All Xepphiras wanted to do now was nap, it had been a long day and between injuries and just general lack of endurance, she was worn out. She would stay awake longs possible until she knew R was doing better. She said she would protect him even if that was simply staying vigilant long enough to see him get treated and make sure no one tried anything funny. But when it came time for them to be treated Ananta asked which one was more injured and R once again put her before himself. "No..." You could hear the strain and tiredness in Xepphiras's voice as she spoke. "I am not the one that is injured the most. R is.... He took the blow from Omega for me. I don't deserve his kindness and will not just accept him having to wait for me. Not in the condition he is in..... Please.... Help him." Xepphiras begged Ananta. Even now she was struggling to stay awake and not just pass out. In reality letting herself sleep would be easier, she wouldn't have to feel the pain every time she moved of all her different bruises and no doubt more then one fractured bone. But she told herself she would look out for R even if that was staying awake through his treatment as he went first.

Eric nodded at Ananta he watched her leave with R and Xepphiras before leaving himself. Once at the place Ananta talked about, Eric stopped his glider and lifted Anta to one of the chairs. He then looked at the twins and sighed. His mind went back to Xepphiras on the glider as and her visible injuries. She knew Dusk had tried to help her but she still seemed in rough shape. "Come on, do you two want me to take you to get your injuries looked at? It would probably be best. Then we can come back here and sit with Anta."

Karina stood quietly listening to Base plan. What was he some kind of wannabe know it all? He was slightly annoying Karina, not enough that she would say she particularly hated him, but enough that he wasn't far off it if he did something slightly major. It didn't take much to tip Karina but at this point she would say one way or another. D'daear seemed too eager about everything in her opinion. She had trouble judging Steel based on how quiet he was, and Luna was already hated. All that left was Krowley. He had seemed bossy to her in the first world she was in but now he was being really quiet. She couldn't figure out what she thought of him. A small ching could be heard as Karina summoned her keyblade. She didn't care for planning she was just prepared for action when need be.

Xepphiras heard a voice beside them and then felt R start to shift. She sat up so her head was no longer hiding in his chest to allow him to get up. R was accepting the girls request of help. Xepphiras's eyes darted over to the creature called Omega then back to R thankful herself for the offer of refuge. Sapphire struggled to her feet with R's help. She was tired and her entire body felt weak at this point. She stumbled slightly and grabbed onto R's arm tight for support. As much as R was keeping her close to him, she was keeping herself close as well. Right now there was no point in trying to show she was strong enough to do anything on her own. She wasn't, especially not in the condition she was in. She knew even when she was rested and healed she would need to work with a team to get anything done. This monster was stronger then what any of them could stand on her own. Xepphiras finally looked the girl who offered them help straight in the eye and realized who it was. She came to help her when One had stuck her in the ground but backed off when realizing she was with the darks. She had treated her like the scum of the earth because she let darkness in to help her get stronger, though her intentions where not dark whatsoever. Xepphiras shifted in slightly closer to R uncomfortable around this woman. She hated people like them, why would she be helping them now? Either way anyplace was better then here even if she lead them into a trap or imprisoned them.

Even after the blast from Omega and the destruction Karina saw around her, Eon still wanted to get in closer and fight. "Please... I don't want to die again...." Karina pleaded looking around at everyone else retreating. "We can go and regroup then come back and fight when everyone is strong enough to do so. Please lets just leave this battle." Karina was doing two things she almost never did, think rationally and beg. But she had just got given a second chance at life and didn't want to throw it away so soon. Karina had slowly began to piece together how she came back and as she did she realized that there was a good chance she couldn't hang around forever. But even with that she wanted to live past this war so she could get to know her children. Her body had come from Eon's nobody and because of that it would have been part of him. She figured it would have to return eventually... she didn't know how long she had left but right now she was at full strength so she wasn't concerned. She was simply concerned with her and Eon living. "I may not be around forever again, you need to live and be there for our kids.... please don't do this right now." Karina asked once more.

Eric nodded at Ananta as he took the three kids with him. He entered the lanes between following the coordinates to Crystalis. As he landed and looked around the place really was beautiful. "So you kids know this place? Why don't you guys lead the way to the place we are supposed to meet Ananta? I am sure your mother and father will be right behind." Eric said with a slight smile. Although his mind was not in a so happy place. He couldn't help but think of everything that was happening back at the other world and question who would and wouldn't make it out. Some already hadn't, a young man and woman had been killed in this war. How many more would die. Besides the three with him there where two more kids, people under the age of twenty fighting the war. From what he had seen both contain great power but one was ignorant and the other physically weak. However at this point they would take any help they could get, they would have to. Omega's power was great. Far greater then a single person could handle.

Karina walked in silence at the back of the group this time, slightly frightened by her own dark thoughts. She fought against the darkness, that was her goal here. She didn't want to become part of it, though that is what happens when she let her mind focus mainly on hate and rage. That is why small spots of happiness and bliss where good like when she first saw Vincent or even when she would break down when left alone. Though she wouldn't say sorrow and crying lead to light it provided a release. In reality it wasn't a bad thing, it wouldn't lead to darkness. Instead it redirected the negative emotions into a form of release. Right now however they had a mission and to try to keep her mind at ease she would redirect it into the fight. That was where her strength came from. Most said theirs came from their friends but that was not the same with Karina. Hers came from a way of releasing her negative emotions and her way of keeping herself in check. People thought she was angry now but they didn't know how bad she could get without some form a release. Karina knew everyone had darkness and they all kept it in check differently, she just prayed no one judged her for the way she did.

Karina looked up from her own thought as they approached the castle to observe the others. She hadn't caught nor bothered to remember most of the others names. She caught one man call another D'daear. She knew the one that spoke introduced himself but didn't listen to the name. Snow she knew three people in this others groups names. She figured she would catch the others soon enough as well. Not like it mattered all that much to her. As long as she knew what they looked like she could keep track of who she like and didn't like. It was not like she was telling people this information anyways.

Although Karina showed obvious dislike for Luna she was smart enough to know now was not the time and she had not planned to do anything about Luna yet. However Luna was making it rather hard with her words. Eon tried to stand between them but Karina pushed him to the side. "Look. Yes I dislike you, and yes some might call it a grudge, but now isn't the time. I might be stupid and act irrationally most of the time but at least I know where priorities lay, and right now they are getting Belle back to her father safely like I made my mission to do so, as well as stopping the stupid, arrogant, hot headed Gaston. I will beat you to a bloody pulp after we get back to Land of Departure if you want but not now." Karina turned from Luna and the rest of the other group. She looked behind them where she expected to see Gaston coming soon. It wouldn't be long now before the man riddled with darkness came riding up all convinced that he could kill the beast, but she planned on killing the real beast first... him. Suddenly Karina shuttered at her own dark thoughts. They where rather violent, and although she had an angry nature normally she didn't tend to think that violently. She shook it off as nothing for now however. It was just another problem of hers to shove aside and leave for a later time to deal with, that is if she ever got around to dealing with it.

As they neared the Castle Karina caught sight of a group of people. As they got slightly closer she could see the people more clearly. She recognized most of them but knew two of them from when she first joined the rest of the keyblade wielders back in the dwarf woodlands. "Oh its you." Karina said in a less then friendly voice as she glared straight at Luna. Karina still had a strong dislike for the girl because of s certain event that happened back then. Karina didn't even notice Belle when they walked up. "What are you guys doing here?" She addressed the entire other party without breaking her glare at Luna. Karina's arms where still crossed from before as she stood there rather beaten and bruised. At least she had her coat back once more to hide her arms. She didn't need these guys seeing that. She didn't even want the two behind her to see it, but at least she knew they would keep their mouths shut. Another question crossed Karina's mind as she waited for a response. "What where you doing at the castle? What was going on there?" That was where they were headed but it seems that the others had just come from. Would this make their destination obsolete.

Karina saw the shape of a castle, through the tree's in the distance. They where getting close at last. Finally they could rescue belle and leave this stupid world. Perhaps she could even convince Vincent to cone with then. After all he was the only good part to being here. Karina began to pick up pace as she walked.

Zage by this time was curled up on the ground in tears. All there was around her was silence and darkness. Generally Zage had a good idea when someone was around her without her seeing but she wasn't able to sense that either. She felt completely and utterly alone, like there was no one there to help her. Whether there was or not she had no way of knowing, but it didn't matter loneliness filled her with fear. She was honestly afraid of the dark and what lurked in it. She always needed someone there beside her, with her. And in this state there was no one. "Please. Make it stop! I will do anything, just make it stop!" She begged. Her hands were on her head so her arms covered her tear stained face. Her entire body shook. She would do anything to hear the sound of someone else's voice, even Damnations. Just something to tell her someone else was there, but there was nothing, just echos in her own mind.
