Roxas was only a few feet from Namine, and now that she was facing him, he knew he had to act quickly. His footsteps quickened and he was in front of her in only a second, the boy immediately beginning to tickle the girl's sides.
It was. That was in the last thread wasn't it?
Roxas looked from Sora to the blonde girl at the sink and then back again. He suddenly smiled, an idea on his mind. He pushed himself off the wall and moved toward the girl at the sink. "Namine, you're making me do this," he said, smirking. She wasn't going to like what he was about to do, but it was the consequence she had to face for hiding the brownies.
Oh, that's right! xP Can't believe I forgot about that.
Roxas narrowed his eyes slightly when Namine didn't say anything, and instead focused on the redhead next to the fridge. "Kairi..." he said, trying to drag it out of her. Kairi shrugged and shook her head, successfully hiding her smile as she went to take her seat back at the table. She plopped down in the chair and started looking through the magazine again.
...I don't, actually. xD
Roxas came in behind Sora, leaning against the doorway with furrowed eyebrows. He noticed Kairi by the fridge, but didn't think too much of it. Instead, he let his gaze linger on Namine. "Liar," he said simply, though humor was present in his eyes. Kairi bit her lip to hide her smile, leaning up from the fridge and shutting it. If anybody asked, she was just looking for a snack.
I know. This is one of the most random ideas I think we've ever had. xDD
Roxas lifted his hand to scratch the side of his head, looking back toward the doorway that led to the kitchen. Namine lied, which meant the brownies were somewhere else. But where? Kairi got an idea. She traveled through the living room and back the way she came, entering the kitchen. She saw Namine at the sink but didn't stop what she was doing. Kairi approached the fridge and cleared a small space for the plate of brownies, knowing that the boys already figured they weren't in the kitchen. That also meant they wouldn't look in the same place twice.
It really is. x3
Roxas walked further into the room, traveling along the length of the dining room table and looking around. He even looked near the fancy china cabinet, hoping the brownies would somehow be there. He furrowed his eyebrows and turned his head to look at Sora. "Uh..." Kairi could hear Ty panting behind her, the dog at her heels. She entered the living room and saw the brownies on a plate in the middle of the coffee table. She smiled slightly and glanced behind her as she went to pick them up. Once she had a hold of the plate, and all of the brownies clustered together, she looked around, wondering what she could do with them.
I know. I love this. xDD
Roxas heard Sora's words and felt his expression turn into one of excitement, a grin forming on his face. He raced after Sora, disappearing into the dining room. Kairi took that as her cue, the girl glancing at the dining room doorway before turning from the sink. She hurried out of the kitchen and went toward the living room, passing Ty in the hallway.
Yuppers. =)
Roxas only continued to give Namine the same look. Okay, so that idea was out. He brought a hand to his head as he lowered his sight to the floor. A place for brownies to sit out... "The dining room?" he asked, lifting his eyes then. Kairi pushed herself up from her seat, glancing at Namine and then at the boys. She had finished her hot chocolate, so she took the mug over to the sink in silence. She had to get to those brownies before the boys did.
That would be exactly the point. xD
Roxas let his eyes fall on Namine again, the same confused look on his face. "...Did you hide them in your room?" he asked, his voice showing that he was a little unsure. He would have assumed the kitchen to be the place to keep them, but then again, if Namine wanted to really keep them from him and Sora, she probably put them in her room. Kairi saw the look, but didn't respond in fear of giving away Namine's idea. If the boys left the room, then Kairi could freely move to the living room and grab them.
If I don't cry from reading it alone, then the piano music will definitely do it. Dx
Roxas arched an eyebrow at Namine and then looked to Sora. Okay, so she hadn't hidden the brownies. But where else could they be? The kitchen was the most logical place, wasn't it? Kairi kept her hand over her mouth that way she wouldn't laugh. This was just too amusing!
But it is going to be sad, that's for sure. =/
