AH? I'm so scared?
???????????
A small smile creeped across Cierra's face when Orpheus said she would live. Although she told him that he could kill her she feared the death that would follow even though she seemed at peace with it. As horrible as she had found her life to be, she never wished death upon herself. The notion always had scared her to no end. She did not know what waited after it, if she would see her parents again or not. Even if she did see them again would she like them? Questions like this often filled her mind when thinking about death. Even so, Orpheus said she wasn't going to die but that was not a promise he could necessarily keep. She could feel life slipping from even as she tried to fight against it. Her life was a slippery slope leading to a black pit at the bottom. She was sliding down this slope, picking up speed each minute that went by with nothing to grab onto to save herself. As much as she reached out and tried she didn't know how much longer she could last, that black pit was approaching quickly. "Please... Tell Master Sven that..." Cierra took a deep breath and forced her eyes open for a little longer. "Tell him that I am sorry... And... and I love him..." Her voice was shallow as she struggled for breath. Orpheus's attention seemed to have shifted off of her to something else. She could hear voices a little ways away but didn't have the energy to look. Perhaps Sven had returned with her salvation. If that was the case, she feared that he might have heard what she just said. She had told Orpheus to pass on the message in the assumption that she would be dead when he got the message, but if that was not the case, she was not ready to admit her feelings to him. They where far to embarrassing for anyone to know. Although these thoughts where slowly quieted as her consciousness slipped from her grips once again. The world around her began to fade, the sights, the sounds, and the feeling of Orpheus's hands on her back. Gwen had just calmed her nerves completely. She was able to think straight and her breath steadied. That was until she heard a voice behind her, she tensed up again and looked at the newly awakened Hunter. "No Hunter, I didn't. You need to learn sometimes aggression is not the best thing. Sometimes there is other better ways of dealing with things." Gwen Lectured before turning away. "He is such a child sometimes." She mumbled to Emi. Gwen's teeth gritted more as Feo left them telling Orpheus of their presence. Gwen notched an arrow but didn't raise her bow to shoot yet, she looked around for another escape, and what she found was a possible chance for a deal. Gwen nudged Emi and indicated to the girl on the medical table. She was hoping Emi would catch drift of her plan without words. Gwen then stepped forward and did something she rarely did, take charge. Generally she did her own things for her own sake and if someone chose to follow that was their choice but they didn't have to comply. However this time her plan hinged on others following and respecting her lead doing as she did and listening to her command. Gwen took her arrow off her bow and put it back in her quiver before placing both her Quiver and her bow on the ground. She then turned and nodded to the rest of the group to follow suite. Gwen then took a step back and looked straight in Orpheus's eyes. "My name is Gwen Tosca. We are not here to harm you or your men in any way, we are just passing through." She began. Although she was scared she would not show it, she stood her ground. "It seems that you have some injured soldiers on your hands. I am willing to offer Emi's healing services for our freedom. You let us walk out of this and she will heal all those with wounds. And by the look of that young girl with you it doesn't look like you have much time to decide. Say yes and your men are healed, no and more of your comrades will be injured. Do we have a deal?" Gwens eyes did not break contact with Orpheus. She was determined to get this deal to go through. As much as she hated Lusters and the general, even she knew it was a bad idea to take him on. As Outlaw quietly waited for a response from the Warden due to his outburst he felt something hit his head. Outlaw took off his hat and looked at the top. "Are you F***en kidding me? Where is that bird? I am going to kill it! No one is going to wreck my hat and get away with it! I hate it! Where are you! Show yourself you little s***." Outlaw freaked as he looked up in the sky searching for the bird. He then threw his hat at the ground and stomped on it. "Stupid bird." He mumbled before taking off his backpack reaching past his second claw and grabbing another hat. He plopped it on his head. "My second favourite hat will have to do." He growled, even though the second hat looked the exact same as the first.
MY thoughts on the idea of girl gamer's honestly I don't mind being looked down on. I have gotten used to being judged for various things a long time ago. Instead of fighting with words and getting into arguments about definitions and who is better and can girls be gamers and such I like to prove it. You say girls can't play League or only play support, then I challenge you to a game. Sure I might not win, I might not be the best in the world but I like to show that I know what I am doing. I find being looked down on as almost a good thing because you can do more then just talk about something, you can show and prove your point. When I go into any online game or anything that I have to play with other people sure I am nervous playing against other people because I am not good but, I don't attribute that to my gender. I will go into something and try my hardest and if they don't think it is good enough then they can suck it up because at least I try. Even in some MMO's or whatever people will treat the females better or try to give handouts, but I don't want that. I prove with my own strength that I am good enough to be at the point I am. I don't need other people to give me stuff to get there. But back to my point. The more people look down or question my abilities the better I find it, because that gives me drive to prove them wrong and prove to myself that I can do this. Honestly I would hardly classify myself as a gamer and would never say I was a girl gamer. I almost find it objectifying. I would rather be viewed as just a straight up gamer or not at all. Saying I am a girl gamer, like any title would in some people, but not all, hold expectations or attachments, things I would rather not try to fulfill. I would rather hide in a corner and play the games I enjoy and not talk about them then talk, be labeled something, and expected to be a certain way. And quick note about going into game shops like ebgames or even technology stores. I rarely accept help because I don't like people jumping to conclusions, but if I do need it and they do start quizzing me or whatever, which has happened, even if I don't know that thing I challange them back with things I know. Between being on places like here and my brother was working for Cap-com and now another company, I do know a fair amount of stuff that a lot of people wouldn't know or wouldn't assume some random small town teenage girl should know. I guess I am all about proving a point through certain things instead of fighting against it verbally or showing support one way or another. I just want to prove myself in the culture and if I can't then oh well. What should some random peoples approvals mean anyways?
Xepphiras listened to the talk of sacrifice. She couldn't tell if she had missed something or someone else had, but as soon as Gexln spoke up she knew that it was someone else who had missed something. Xepphiras was quite intrigued by R speaking of the Darkness and what it was like. She herself had never truly grasped the concept of it, she was starting to understand how to use it but her knowledge of the true or original form was foreign. To her Darkness was a power that had spawned with her negative emotions and thoughts. That same darkness grew to strong and took her heart away from her with the help of Xindai. She could not control it. But when she lost the fear of it it became her ally. A powerful weapon that she could learn to use. With a lack of heart there was nothing that the darkness could do to her but help her. But as R spoke it occurred to Xepphiras that it only ever hurt her because she gave it the power to. She could have negative emotions and not give it power if she had known how, at the same time she could use its power it had but not in a way that would hurt her. She had wished that she knew about that the few short days before, less then a week ago, when she was still a full person, with a heart. Xepphiras was lost in her own thought, but she did catch R saying he was not going to make anyone do the dive to the heart but he was looking for volunteers. "Um R...." Xepphiras started quietly. "I want to help... I will help whatever way possible, but..." She hesitated not sure if it was an embarrassing question to be asking. "Can I do it? Can I participate in this dive to the heart when I don't have one to speak of?" She asked fearing that she couldn't and she would be no help to them. Karina was losing her patience with Ananta, it never took much for her to get annoyed, but as everyone else there stated R was not sacrificing anyone. On top of that she was trying to tell them that Anta was to not get involved in any way. "I know I haven't been around for years but we need twenty people right? If we restrict our kids from being involved then we might not have the people we need! Don't you understand, it doesn't matter how old they are we need to work together to win, like it an army. One man does not make an army and one man can't win a battle you need everyone no matter how small." Karina spoke up. With that she also implied she was willing to take part in the dive. Eric couldn't help but smile as Karina quoted something that their father often told his men. It was true. Eric was not the strongest in the army by far, but he was one of the more intelligent. He might not always go in the heat of battle but him being apart of the army was a valuable thing that helped them all no matter how little it was. "I will also help if you allow me to be part of your army." Eric told R.
Drake had been kind enough to put out his cigarette but Callum on the other hand was not so kind. He had decided to light another cigarette. Tasha couldn't take much more of the smell. Her hand started to shake on the table as it clenched into a fist. She turned away from Callum trying to keep her calm. She wanted to cry, she wanted to yell, and more then anything she wanted the memories to leave her mind, but she knew none of that would happen. She had to be strong now. Breaking before the people who called them had even arrived. That was not a good sign. Although despite her calm strong demeanor she was really fragile and struggled. "Put it down...." She started, her voice low and emotionless. Tasha slowly stood up. "Put that thing away...please...." She said again. She was desperate and it was obvious. She punched her hand down at the table causing the entire thing to shake. "You heartless insensitive prick. Despite two of us speaking up saying we don't like the smell of smoke asking nicely for you to put it out, you light another." Tasha yelled at Callum, tears welling in her eyes. "I-I-I can't handle it. I can't take it." She stuttered, her entire body shook. It was clear that she was beginning to have a break down already, and all because of the simple smell of smoke. Tasha walked around the table once more to Callum as she quickly went to punch the back of his head before snatching for the cigarette. She would do whatever it took to make him put it out. She didn't care what it came down to at this point, as long as he stopped and the smell left the room. "Please just stop..." She repeated once again, this time more quiet.
As the baby in front of her began to cry Karina's eyes widened. At first she started to question what she had done, but then she remembered who hid behind that image of a baby. She did not just hit a baby she it Glen. As long as she kept this in mind she was as cruel as ever. Her eyes where stern and serious, her keyblade gripped tight in hand. Knowing Glen this battle was not over yet. He gave her the middle finger as he spoke about everything, she was about to walk up and break it, but then he spoke of her home world. He spoke of how messed up she was then asked how the populated making assumptions that everyone was like her. "I am messed up.... I know that... But don't assume the same for my world. There are nice people there. I only left because of my father and their beliefs not because of the people, they don't know any better. Don't you dare talk about Black Creek like that." Karina was obviously more angered now. Then Glen proceeded to call her a monster, none of this helped his case. Everything that was going on around her made her rather sad not necessarily angry, she just managed to redirect it to anger very easily. She would rather be angry then feel sad. As Glen slowed his charge, she prepared a charge of her own. He wasn't going to get out of this easy now. The somewhat friendly duel had taken a turn for the worst at this point. Karina had planned to stop before Glen got hurt too bad in order to keep on Kuma's good side, but now she didn't care so much anymore. Karina didn't bother with Gravity this time she simply went straight for hitting him as many times as possible. She started with poison edge, followed up by aerial slam and vorpal blitz. She then continued to use splatter combo and barrier surge. After only a second to breath she would start the entire routine over again, although she had faith he would fall before it needed to be repeated.
Guess we will have to wait and see
Or making him a chick. Cause I think that is what happened
Oh well
If he was wanting to look like a check it is perfect
"But...." Xepphiras was about to blame herself again but stopped. Why was she doing that? R was not mad at her or anyone else at this time. She didn't like fighting or yelling and sought to stop it. And now that it was stopped why did she feel the need to continue. She simply needed to let go of the situation and move on. The feeling of R's hand on her shoulder brought warmth and comfort. All she wanted to do was sit in R's arms like she had earlier before the whole mess with training. Silently Xepphiras followed behind R to meet with the others. She still felt week compared to the rest. She kept her eyes down and walked with her arms folded behind her back. She listened to what R had to say. In all honesty she was not really that familiar with the concept of a dive to the heart. Had she done one before? She didn't think so, but she did vaguely remember R saving her when she was losing her heart, something deep within her was happening. Could that be what a dive to the heart was? She couldn't be sure. Instead of embarrassing herself by asking she figured she could just follow what was going on and figure it out on the way. Karina stared at R as he spoke. A group dive to the heart? Was that even possible? She knew what it was and how to do it, but how could she join it with other people? What difference would that make? As far as she was concerned they where taking a shot in the dark here. They didn't know what they where doing, if it would work, or even if everyone gathered where suited to have a piece of this x-blade in them. Then again Karina was not know for her knowledge about the keyblade or its uses, she just focused on learning how to fight with it through practice. Others amongst the SOS group took time to do their research but not her. To her it was a waist of time. Eric hardly listened to what was going on. Despite nodding every now and then to show that he heard and understood what was being said, that was not where his mind was. He was glancing between his sister and Ananta. His mind was racing with how he could get Karina away from the others, how to keep away from Ananta's now watchful eye. Perhaps during this dive to the heart thing, but that would require him to be excluded from it, and he didn't think he could get away with that. Then what other options where there. If he just asked to talk to her in private Ananta would be sure to follow or try to listen. It was too dangerous during the war. Then perhaps after the war, but how? He still needed to work that out.
A wave of relief washed over Tasha as the smell of smoke lessened a bit. The reminder was gone but now the memories where there in the back of her mind torturing her. It wasn't just the memories of her father that hurt but lose where leading to memories of the accident... Her parents dead bodies dangling beside her held in place by their seat belts. The smell of smoke and heat that filled the car shortly before she passed out. She could hardly handle it. These where the dark thoughts that made her scared to sit in complete silence, alone in her own mind. At least with her head in her arms no one could see her face, no one could see her pain, and most of all no one could see how weak she truly was. Weakness was not something she was willing to accept. She always knew that she had to be the strong one. For her brothers sake and for her own. Even here when she first arrived she felt she had to be strong and try to start people talking try to make sure everyone was calm. But it seemed her strength could only hold out so long. Tasha hated herself for her emotions. She felt them far stronger then she thought she should. Sometimes she could just turn them off, but that was nothing more then a party trick for the crowds, it always came to bite her in the butt later. Tasha's ears perked up when she heard Williams question. She lifted her head and wiped a tear off her face, hoping no one would notice. After taking a deep breath she started talking. Her voice void of all emotions. "Working here. If you mean this building that means nothing. Just because you work in a certain location doesn't mean you have power or anything to do with what might be going on. For all we know you are a janitor in this building. But if you are referring to working for them a part of this whole thing I would be inclined not to believe you. They think of themselves as our friends. You, are not the kind to call many people your friend. You are too cold and calculating to think of any of us as friends. Second, the way you worded that, more of a hypothetical question not a confession. And third, you got a box just like Drake. Drake asked a question when he got his. You have only expressed opinions up to this point. Once awkward silence broke out you posed another question. All this is is a lame attempt to get us talking. But you better be careful what kind of questions you ask, some people here might not listen to me or have the same thought pattern. You could wind up getting yourself in trouble." Tasha shot a glare at Callum. If anyone was liable to react badly to William it was him.
Haha sure why not.
You tell me. But you see my profile. That is a soon to be goddess. Don't mess with her.
Before Orpheus even started his story the words he spoke stung Cierra. As soon as he told her that he could see why she was locked up she became scared. Scared that Orpheus would just let her die here and now. Scared that he would throw her in prison. Worst of all scared that he would hand her back over to the Warden. If he agreed with the Warden that she deserved that she belonged locked up because of her parents what was stopping him from giving her back. After all that seemed to be what he believed she deserved. Even so Cierra couldn't even remember her parents, so why should she be held responsible for their acts. They paid for whatever it was that they did, did she really have to now? Cierra's thoughts numbed as Orpheus started to tell his story. Right now her mind could only focus on so much. With her desperate attempts to keep her consciousness and her attempts to process what Orpheus was saying. All that didn't leave much room for free thinking. Each word that Orpheus spoke hurt her more. The pain of her wounds were nothing compared to the guilt she felt for her parents actions. They where indeed horrible people, worse then she could imagine. Cierra felt sorry for herself often, but now she had no reason to. She didn't deserve self pity. Her family made Orpheus's life hell, she didn't deserve any less then what she had gotten. Now knowing his story she didn't blame him if he handed her over to the Warden or just let her die here and now. "Sorry..." Cierra's voice was quieter then ever now. She was hardly talking. "Let me die... avenge your parents..." Cierra seemed to have no emotion in her voice as her eyes drooped. It was a fair trade, was it not? Let her die because her parents killed his and nearly killed him. They scared him even with his emotional voices she knew that. If Orpheus needed something, some sort of pay back she understood. Admittedly there was many times that he would offend her or make her feel like a piece of crap and she would sometimes even start to think she would hate him for it. But now, now she couldn't.... She accepted it. If he let her live, she would be just as much in debt to him as she was to Sven, perhaps more. Gwen could hardly breath. Her panic was too high. She could hardly hear Emi talking to her over her own heart beat. But she did hear something about happy thoughts and them leaving her alone. It was worth a try. After all she had nothing else to hang onto at this point. Happy thoughts, she didn't know what to think of for sure but she needed something. Slowly the spirita backed off and stopped attacking Gwen. Eni's song seemed to be helping. Even with them gone she was still shaking. Gwen slowly stood up her knees shaking. She looked over at Emi. "... Thanks...." Gwen said hesitantly. She never normally thanked people. Especially not Emi. Usually she thought of her as just an annoying pest, but she did actually save Gwen so she did deserve some sort of gratitude. "Yeah lets get out of here. I don't want to be here anymore." Gwen was still obviously uncomfortable in still being there. Outlaw thought of who it could be he was after that he would try to take on the General. "Wait wait now way! She is the one you where after! I can't believe it. That scrawny brat is 123. Haha I can't believe it! I bet Orpheus didn't even know he was harbouring a fugitive!" Outlaw didn't realize what he had said until it was too late. Well there went his cover. He had just given himself away to the warden himself. It would certainly be interesting to see how this turned out for him. Unless Xerxes wasn't even listening, which he really hoped was the case. Outlaw took long strides to match Warden as they walked to Castle Mordecai. Stephan so dearly hoped that he would still be allowed to kill there. That the Warden would not make him leave. He was too excited for his little hunting trip to leave now. It wasn't even the money that interested him just payback at Mordecai.
No you don't get that kind of power
Nope its brown now
Brown!
Of course I'm psychic remember
