This was it. This was the last of the zip slashers. Health, it was going to fall here and now, Karina would make sure of that. The battle had gone on far too long and despite her silly attitude throughout the battle she was using it to cover the extreme sadness she felt deep down. The quicker all the heartless fell the better for her. But until the battle was over her emotional stability would have to hold out. She woulfvhabr to stay strong, her physical strength would not help her here. "You are dead." Karina said in a low angry the before rushing forward. With one upper cut Karina sent the zip slashers flying into the air. Jumping after it a second sent it even higher. She repeated this a third time before making one giant leap into the air after it going higher then the heartless. Flipping in mid air Karina smashed her keyblade into its chest, driving the heartless down. She landed firm on her feet planting one hand on the ground to ensure her balance. Karina then rose to her feet, with no zip slasher in sight, she knew she had won. Now it was time to help her comrades, after all he did help her. Running over to stratos' aid Karina couldn't help but mutter "Stratos you idiot" as she saw everything he had aggroed. "Well time ti clean up your mess." She stated as she scanned the crowd for the most injured of the heartless. "I think I can handle clearing out nine o these things right now." Karina called out to inform Stratos. With that she took off to start. Of course all her targets where not close together because that would have been convenient instead they where spread out among the circle of heartless that now surrounded both Stratos and Karina. Karina ran at her first target killing it in just a single slash. Just as she thought, that one along with a couple others that looked in a similar shape where the weakest of them. Karina ran half way across the circle before using barrier surge to close the rest if the gap killing her second heartless. Karina then proceeded ti use a strike raid to kill the third in a similar shape. That took care of the weakest ones, it was time ti step it up to the next level. There was another five that looked slightly stronger than the last batch but where still not in the best if shape. Karina started by focusing on the two that where near each other. Rushing over she punched one into the next one. Having caught their attention Karina allowed them space to attack her, keeping one in arms reach however. As one of the heartless leaped forward to attack her, Karina grabbed the other and used it as a shield. Tossing the dead heartless to the side Karina jumped and slashed down on the second one. "Well that makes five and I am just getting warned up." Karina taunted as she eyed a heartless across the circle. It didn't take long for Karina to close the distance. She then finished off the heartless with a fire strike. The heartless where dropping like flies. There were three more that Karina had her eyes on. Another group of two sat near each other which helped Karina's job a little. Using her keyblade glider Karina flew above the heartless coming down on the with a vorpal blitz. She turned to the second and used splatter combo on it just because it was fun. That left one. One heartless that was currently going after Stratos. "Don't you dare." Karina huffed as she raced after the heartless on her keyblade glider. Karina drove her glider into the heartless hopping off letting the glider keep going until it crashed into a wall killing the heartless that was on the end of it. Meanwhile Karina stood her back to Stratos'. "Thought you could use some help." She said moving her hair out of her face before summoning her keyblade back to her. Xepphiras stood at the top of the stairs as everyone greeted each other with each new piece brought up. She understood in this group she was the odd one out, not really getting to know anyone and she wasn't as strong as the rest, but standing there in silence made her feel rather ignored like no one cared about what she had accomplished although it was big for her. Although how could she expect them to care, the only one there that really knew anything about her she pushed away, her own family, her only family alive. Xepphiras's gaze drifted down towards R's platform. She thought he would be the first one out, so where was he? What if something happened in his trial. Xepphiras quickly shook the thought off as she looked back at the others. She saw Gexln hug Xero, he seemed to truly care for her and love her.... But that would require feelings wouldn't it, and he was a nobody just like her, so why could he feel and she couldn't? Xepphiras looked down and placed her hand over where her heart would be. None of this made that much sense to her. This didn't surprise her, it wasn't just that she wasn't all that smart but she also never really understood the light and the dark and how they worked. All she knew was that she had darkness inside of her and it was the source of her power. She also knew that more darkness, more power lay deep below. Power that she couldn't... no wouldn't access, it was too strong. Though it seemed that Xindai was able to access it, and it was that darkness that caused her to become a nobody, it was that darkness that she feared. She knew she had to keep it locked away, but how she was going to do that was a different question. "Where does this darkness come from, how do I keep it locked away?" Xepphiras questioned softly as her open palm formed a loose fist on her chest. "Why am I even here?" She added, talking completely to herself. Louvel looked over at his sister who was clearly struggling, but she had made it clear on the battlefield that they where not allies or friends. She had attacked him more then once and when they had to fight together treated him like she might anyone else she didn't know. They where not family, but how could they be? One that resides in pure light, the other in darkness without a heart. This was no longer his innocent little sister. R... Xindai.... They made her into something she was not, and more so got her involved in this war, something that for the longest time he hoped that she wouldn't have to worry about. Even though he hadn't seen her for years before, when word of the war reached the king and him his only thoughts was that he would win the war to protect his family, his youngest sister. She had always been so naive and innocent, but looking at her now, although she did not look the part, he knew she was a warrior of the darkness and there was nothing he could do to help her now, no matter what was going through that fragile mind of hers.
The heartless was almost there, but that meant it would rely on cheap tactics with desperation moves. Considering how cheap the tactics it used already were, she was not looking forward to this. Music got turned off and put away, the cord would only get in the way. Karina glanced at Stratos to see how much trouble he had gotten himself into. Lots. That was just great, as soon as she finished off the zip slasher she would have to go save his butt. She owed him that much but at the same time his own stupidity got him into that mess, well that and the fact that every fricken behemoth in the entire room thought he was a soccer ball. Where did they all get this idea? Sure he was kind of pale with black hair but besides that to do with colours he looked nothing like one, so why the behemoths only liked to kick him around was beyond Karina. Sure they had kicked her around a few times but not nearly as much, and it was usually followed up by another attack. It seemed that Stratos just made a good toy. Karina was watching as Derpy the Derpmoth appeared behind Stratos randomly and kicked him... again. That was some behemoth, doing things that shouldn't be possible. While she watched this however the zip slasher was being as much of a dick as ever, charging at her, sending her flying back onto her butt while her back was turned. Karina glared up at it. Karina was able to pick herself up once again before the zip slasher attacked once more. Jumping into the air it came down on her with a spin attack. Karina was just barely able to block the attack, but now she was irritated. It was time that she went on the offensive, hitting this zip slasher with everything she had. Karina hopped on her keyblade glider and flew straight up into the air. As soon as she felt she was high enough she jumped off and transformed her keyblade glider back to the divine rose, summoning it to her. She could see her target about 10 meters below her now, this is where she started her vorpal blitz. Karina knew that she didn't have a chance of reaching the ground before the zip slasher attacked, so she wasn't going to even try, she was going to prepare. And just as Karina suspected the zip slasher had come jumping up prepared to attack her before she even got close to where it was on the ground, but the flaw in the plan was that the damn thing moved before jumping up at her. The heartless actually had half a brain for once and avoided her vorpal blitz so it could do an aerial slam on Karina. Her face was undoubtedly sore after getting up from that attack but Karina didn't stop. All the heartless did was unleash the wrath of the warrior on it's self. Bad move on its part. A small smirk spread across her face as she prepared for the ultimate combo. A glow surrounded Karina as she calmed herself ready for what was to come. All the sudden at once Karina raced forward faster then the zip slasher had ever seen her do before. She quickly slashed it across the chest ending on the other side of it before turning and doing a similar move heading diagonal from where she stood hitting it with a diagonal slash. She repeated this type of movement and hits several more times to complete her limit. Once complete Karina stood huffing trying to catch her breath, but as soon as she did she would deliver the final blow that would indeed kill this heartless and she could be done with it. Keyblade now in hand Karina prepared herself with twelve percent of a plan made. It was barely a concept but at least it was better then eleven percent. Karina took a moment to pull out her mp3 play and quickly select a song, Cherry Bomb, to listen to throughout the fight. Karina didn't know if what she was about to do was good, bad or a bit of both. She figured a bit of both. As Karina stepped forward slightly preparing herself to attack she found herself dancing? "What am I doing? I am a warrior, an assassin. I don't dance." Karina said shaking it off preparing herself once again. This time she was actually going to take fighting seriously. Karina ran forward to attack the zip slasher but was interrupted by a horde of heartless going after Stratos knocking her back for a moment. Karina quickly cast cure on Stratos before turning to him in order to yell at him. " None of this would've happened if you hadn't tried to take on an frickin' army!" She then turned back to the zip slasher. "I am going to die surrounded by the biggest idiots in the galaxy." Karina sighed once again preparing to attack the zip slasher. "Well if you can't beat them join." She shook her head as she prepared to do the most stupid thing she would have ever done. Karina tossed her keyblade away and started to dance. The song she was listening to had changed to something less intense at this point. "Ooh, child, things are gonna get easier. Ooh child, things will get brighter. You listen to these words. Ooh child, things are gonna get easier. Ooh child things'll get brighter. Then bring it down hard! Someday..." Karina started to dance harder. She could see a confused look on the heartless's face. "Dance off bro. Me and you." Karina looked like a complete idiot but her moves did distract it like she planned. "I am distracting you, you big turd blossom." It was then that Karina's keyblade came back around boomerang style slashing the heartless through its back and returning to her hand. Karina's face turned serious again as she continued to talk to the heartless who most likely couldn't understand a word she said, "The only matter I do not take seriously, boy, is you. Your politics bore me! Your demeanor is that of a pouting child." Karina then ran in with a vorpal blitz. " Whatever nightmare the future holds for me will be a dream compared to my past." Karina snarled not fearing what lay ahead of her. The only thing she truly feared was her past. Backing off from the heartless she mumbled "He has no respect!" She glared at the zip slasher. "Spare me your gaze foul heartless!" She snapped at the heartless for no reason. Karina then used a barrier surge on the zip slasher. That was followed up by a upper slash knocking the zip slasher into the air followed by her jumping up and using aerial slam on the heartless. "I am Karina." She said in a gruff voice. "We..." She indicated to her comrades around her. "Are the guardians of Central Haven," Wind came out of no where blowing Karina's hair back and making her look more epic then she really was. She then ran her finger across her throat. "Finger across throat means death." She told the heartless before finishing her little speech. "I will bathe the star-ways with your blood." Karina then realized that that heartless didn't have blood. She gave a slight face palm before turning the fight back to the more serious side. With the conversation done and over with Karina had to focus on the zip slasher. The zip slasher started a spin attack towards Karina, as she jumped back again. This time as she did she threw her keyblade behind her, transforming it into a keyblade glider. Landing on her keylbade glider as she came out of her back hand spring Karina prepared for battle against the insensitive ******. She would fight this bare handed using her keyblade to get around only. Despite her enemy having blades for hands she didn't think she needed her weapon. It was going to be her way of transporting around and that is it. Karina flew straight up in the air and scoped where the zip slasher was at, what it was doing and how she would counter it. While Karina was focused on her thoughts she didn't notice that the zip slasher somehow was able to high jump up to the height of her keyblade glider. What was it a fricken basket ball player? Like come on Karina was the only one that was allowed to be stupidly godmodded in this battle and due things she shouldn't be allowed to like..... Karina thought for a second. Next thing she knew her arms where chain saws. Karina leaped off her keyblade glider slashing at the heartless again and again. She finished the combo by coming down on it's chest as she drilled it into the ground. Now this left Karina on top of the heartless and it would have none of that. Before Karina could move it stabbed up into her chest and then flung her to the side. Karina coughed and staggered before getting ready to keep fighting. She whistled her glider back to her side and hopped on it once again, shaking off her injuries like they where nothing. Her hp had not hit zero so what did it matter. Karina flew back into the air and cast a mine square in mid air around her (yes that totally works, don't judge.) This way the cheap skate heartless couldn't attack her while she was thinking. This didn't stop it however, the heartless jumped up after her and quickly hit it's head on a mine causing it to explode and the zip slasher to fall back to the ground. This blast caused Karina's glider to shift the the right nearly hitting her own mine, but luckily enough she was able to avoid it. But it seemed that the zip slasher noticed the shift in balance and decided to become suicidal in order to kill her. Damn that thing was persistent. What had she ever done to it? It was the one that attacked first after all, and second she wasn't really attacking unless it was out of defense. Bang! Another mine went off this time to her, then to her right. How was this zip slasher still doing that. Then it occurred to her, it was immune to magic as Stratos had said earlier. How stupid could she be. As she went to face palm the zip slasher set off the last bomb which in turn knocked her off her glider and sent her plummeting to the ground. With a snap of her fingers, just a few centimeters away from the ground, Karina cast a small gravity so she wouldn't fall to her death but instead land safely. Karina was then able to simply walk out of the gravity circle. She punched the zip slasher with her bare hands as she walked towards where her keyblade glider fell and transformed back into a keyblade. No more fooling around this was serious now. Parrying another blow Karina listened to what Stratos had to say. She them proceeded to knock it back using her keyblade as Stratos gave her the run down of the heartless in the area. "Alright I will keep that in mind after...." Karina was interrupted by the zip slasher. Casting gravity on it she continued talking. "I finish with this. Good thing I don't use magic much. I will focus armored knights and assault riders." Karina then jumped into the air and knocked the zip slasher to the ground with an aerial slam. "Once those are taken care of, it will be onto behemoth number two. But lets try not to piss in off." Karina parried another attack. "Too much until the others I listed are dealt with." She instructed staying on the defense for now, but even defending was proving hard due to her injuries she took during the last battle. They boy then mentioned introducing themselves. She had almost forgotten that she didn't know his name. She had just been so used to calling him "kid" or "boy" that it didn't seem to matter anymore. "Oh right... introductions." She said. She was never much into introducing herself, mostly because a bad rep followed her where she went, or certain expectations that she could rarely live up to. If they didn't know who she was, she wouldn't have to deal with that. But it was fair that the boy, or Stratos as it was got to know her name. "Karina." She said quickly in a monotone voice. She had been looking at Stratos previously, but was now looking down, away from him, almost in shame as she said her name. It was no doubt he had heard rumour of her, who hadn't? And she just assumed that judgement of her would follow soon after, especially about how she acted in the behemoth battle. Being filled with a new energy from the cures that Stratos had cast on Karina she felt stronger. Defending against the zip slasher, she kicked under her keyblade at it, sending it away. Stratos talked about worrying about her and supporting her. As much as she wanted to continue drilling about why anyone would do that for her, she knew better then to do so. She wouldn't fight about it anymore right now, instead she would accept it. After all it made her happy knowing at least someone thought about her well being and cared for her even in the slightest, even as a comrade maybe not a friend but a comrade. She didn't get that vibe off of many people. She usually just figured that people where protecting her in battle, supporting her but cause she was the strongest they got and they wanted to survive, meaning she had to kill the heartless eventually. As far as most people where concerned, or at least in Karina's mind, she was just a weapon to be used and if she broke after battle they would just go get a new better model and forget about her. But Stratos on the other hand seemed to actually care what happened to her, perhaps it was because he had seen her weak side, or maybe because he didn't know her reputation yet. Either way it didn't matter, she was slightly happier knowing she wasn't just some garbage. Now it was time to go on the offence. She had spent most of her time previously just defending against the zip slasher, but now it was time to actually fight it, do some damage. Karina ran forward to attack but it jumped out of the way, coming back at her fast enough that Karina didn't have time to react. Annoyed Karina's next attack was a barrier surge, using the extra speed provided to catch the damn heartless. After successfully hitting it Karina studied it slightly, instead of hands it had blades, and those blades where red. She could assume since it was immune to most magic that these creatures themselves where magic types. "Fire. got it." She said figuring out it's attack type, but attack pattern was yet to come, she would figure that out later. Jumping back, keeping herself at a range, Karina threw a strike raid at the thing. She would take it down, not need help from Stratos, and keep her injury level on a minimum. She didn't need him having to heal her anymore, she wasn't that weak. She was strong, wasn't that what she was trying to prove? She failed that in the last behemoth battle but she could make up for it, she was sure. As long as she could suppress the sadness for the rest of the battle and not break down once again. But after the battle she would need time to sit down and sort out her own emotions on her own. She hoped that she could get that. Karina ran up to the Behomoth and started slashing at it. "They." Karina attacked. "Don't." She stabbed at the Behemoth. "Care." She jumped up and came down on the heartless' horn. "About." Karina used a upward slash to throw it in the air. "ME!" Karina jumped up at the Behemoth and came down on the behemoth drilling it into the ground. Karina was left standing with a small amount of smoke around her feet and a bright shining heart floated into the air, Karina stumbled as she fell down landing on her butt. She looked at her hands. "I-I did it. I... I mean we killed it. Karina could not control her emotions but at the same time she could still think clear enough to fight for now. . "And lord knows I value you right now." Those words that Stratos had spoken rang through her mind. Those eight words meant more to her then he would ever understand. Someone actually valued her? Someone actually needed her their. As much as she was helping in the fight, she knew anyone who remotely knew how to fight and had the smallest amount of emotional stability would be better then her in this fight or anywhere really, They all knew it, but Stratos saying he actually valued her made her feel like someone special, not just that random girl with an attitude problem. Karina sat on the ground bloodied, bruised and in tears. But even in this state Karina was able to stop an oncoming attack from a zip slasher who thought to take advantage of her in her most vulnerable time. Pushing it back she looked at Stratos. "Thanks." She then looked at the zip slasher. "This jerk is mine. Attacking a crying girl when she is down is beyond a dick move." Karina wiped tears from her face and got ready for battle. Her fighting spirit was coming back through anger at the zip slasher. Of course she was still upset and she still believed everything that she said, and no matter what Stratos said Karina knew the truth or at least she thought she did. Being the stubborn depressive b**** she was. Karina parried another blow from the zip slasher sending it back a few feet. She then proceeded to throw her keyblade after it in the form of a strike raid. Karina then proceeded to do a back hand spring away from the zip slasher. She slowly let out a breath of air as she began to regain herself. "Why couldn't I do this earlier during the behemoth fight?" She sighed as she talked to herself. What was it about this anger, this need for vengeance against people that did something that was viewed as wrong in her eyes. That is what drove her the most. That was what made her attacks stronger. Rumour had it that friendship brought most strength, but Karina believed that as a load of bs, she believed that strength came from her own will, her will came from anger. Under that logic her anger was the source of her strength. Where did that anger spawn from, well from others doing stupid things. Therefore her hatred of people was her strength not friends. Karina screamed out as she ran towards the zip slasher. As she slashed at it, it jumped away from her in a similar fashion that she had used to get away from it. "Damn..." She sighed. Karina glanced back at Stratos to see what he was doing now, or even if he would say anything to her after the battle. She figured after everything that had happened he would at least have something to say, after all he did not seem like the silent type, so for now Karina would go on defense just long enough to hear and respond to what the boy had to say. "Lecture? Hardly." Karina responded to Stratos. Her voice was not harsh, it was rather emotionless actually. "All I did was ask why you would care. I wanted to know...... Don't say anything to anyone else, but I don't see my life as valuable and don't understand why anyone else would. So don't judge me for my questions. Don't take them the wrong way, not everything I say is mean. Not all my emotions are anger and not everything you see on the outside is truly me. So don't assume what I say is meant to lecture you. because you have it all wrong. But I don't expect you to understand. I don't expect anyone to understand." Karina told him. In her mental state she could not keep up her tough act. Her mind felt like it was starting to deteriorate and there was nothing that she could do about it. Her entire body shook as she stood there talking with Stratos, she couldn't help it. He then talked about not wanting to see his comrades die which made sense but at the same time in war people died and you couldn't help it. "You know in war you can't always control if your comrades fall or not, this is no different now, but I guess I can see where you are coming from trying to protect me. As much as people die in war it is still never easy to watch someone die. Especially if you have a soft heart." Karina told Stratos implying that he was soft hearted. It wasn't that it was a bad thing, in fact at times she wished that her heart was not so hardened towards the outside world. If it wasn't perhaps she could finally let friends in, allow people to be close to her. During her time talking, she wasn't standing the entire time. With the Behemoth on it's last lags it was turning to desperation moves, something that they had to watch out for due to them being near their last legs themselves. The battle was almost over, they had to finish it quick before returning to the smaller heartless. Jumping in the air Karina let out a low angry growl at the beast as she came down on it.The only thing that didn't change emotionally through this entire battle was Karina's hatred for the behemoth. It's hatred for her didn't lessen either, it hated her more then ever. As Karina landed on the ground she pushed off the ground again and put her keyblade out in front of her so as she flew upwards the keyblade would stick into it's throat. This of course made it angry and as she hit her mark it flung it's head and Karina didn't have the strength to hold on. She flew off and hit Stratos as she came down knocking him down with her. It took Karina a moment to realize what had just happened, but as soon as she did she leaped up and turned to him. "Sorry..." She said quietly before putting her hand out to help him up. After that she turned around and summoned her keyblade back to her charging back at the Behemoth. She was going to keep going attacking time and time again. She was not going to give up or give in. She would keep going, and she wouldn't die. Karina jumped on the behemoths back and dragged her keyblade all the way up it before jumping off so it didn't hurt her once again. She couldn't afford to get hurt any more.Karina skidded back on the balls of her feet as she landed. "It is almost dead." She said stating the obvious. The behemoth continued to kick Karina around like a soccer ball. With each hit she got back up, but each time it got harder and harder to remain standing. Her knees shook and she was filled with pain, but none the less, she still kept going, letting the heartless throw her around like she was nothing more then garbage, but cause that was all in fact that Karina saw herself as. Besides if the heartless saw her not fighting back there was a good chance that it would continue attacking her for no other reason then it was easy to finish the job before moving on to Stratos, and by that time she only hoped he would be able to finish it off himself with a fair amount of ease. They had brought it so far already that it wouldn't be long before he could kill it on his own. But not yet the heartless still needed a distraction so it wouldn't tear Stratos apart. Getting up one more time Karina stood, her entire body shaking. "Do you want to try that again. I said I wouldn't let you kill me so bring it on." She was no longer so sure that the heartless wouldn't kill her soon, but she had to muster any strength that she had left to keep getting up and keep taunting it. Taking hit after hit in order to give her comrade an opening at attack. The behemoth started charging faster, more angry then before, determined to make this hit the last one he would need. Karina raised her bloodied arms in front of her face to protect herself from the impending attack, although with the shape her arms where in they where not going to do much. They where already bloodied and torn to the point it was hard to tell old scars from new wounds. Karina awaited the impact, the longer she waited, the more scared she came. Yet no impact came. Slowly opening her eyes she saw Stratos standing in front of her protecting her. He proceeded to yell at her, but not lecture her or logic with her like some often tried to do. Instead he reminded her of their bet, and simply told her that he wouldn't lose any comrades in this battle. "Why do you care what happens to me. I have made it clear that none of you are my friends, so why would what happens to me, what I do with my life matter to you? All I do is push people away." Karina asked Stratos as she summoned her keyblade. This time she didn't allow the heartless even time to attack or chase Stratos before she started unleashing attacks of her own. If she could focus on speed then neither of them would get too much more injuried in this battle. The behemoth wouldn't not know who to attack any more and soon enough it would die. Karina flew up towards the Behemoths head on her keyblade glider. Usually she would get off and attack with just her normal keyblade, but this time she decided to drive her glider right into it's skull, this action however through her off upon impact, but that worked to her advantage. She stood on the behemoths head, summoning her keyblade to her as the glider began to fall. She threw a strike raid at the horn and while the keyblade was out of her hand used a powerful punch to punch the heartless's head. The heartless was not happy because of it, she knew this, but she kept going, leaping into the air and unleashing a vorpal blitz the moment her keyblade was back in her hand. Soon after this series off attacks she was rather harshly thrown from the Behemoths back. With the shape her body was already in Karina didn't know how well this would work out for her, but lucky enough, a feathery friend came to her aid for the second time. "Thanks girl. That makes twice you saved me. That means only one more time. I will try to be careful." She patted the birds head as Marahute took her place in the sky once more, and Karina took her place next to Stratos. "Attack fast, don't give it time to attack." As she gave the orders, her voice lacked the enthusiasm or leaderly quality that it pertained before when she was giving orders. Stratos was quick to take his turn, quick to draw the aggro onto himself. Karina saw the anger in the Behemoth and she knew they needed to kill it quick before it killed them but unlike the behemoth and Stratos, Karina was not quick. She could not compose herself to fight like she had been before. She even lost fight of why she was fighting. What did she care if these people died? She didn't even like most of them, why did she care what happened to them, she didn't even care what happened to herself. Karina's mind was overflowing with thoughts like those even though she knew she needed to focus on the fight. Focus was not something that was coming easily to Karina at the moment, but if she didn't she knew that she would get both herself and Stratos killed. Karina shook her head a bit and prepared for battle. As she did though she couldn't stop a tear from rolling down her face. "None of you are my friends.. That is what I said, it is my choice not to have any friends.... So why does it still hurt so much to know I have no one?" Karina questioned quietly out loud. Finally Karina made a move. She couldn't leave Stratos running from the Behemoth forever, he wouldn't last much longer with the Behemoth that angry. "Look at me you A-hole!" Karina called out trying to grab the Behemoths attention before she leaped into the air. A vorpal Blitz started as the behemoth turned to merely glance at the voice yelling. It didn't seem to interested in her, that was until a keyblade struck it right between the eyes. That most certainly pissed it off but Karina was not done yet. She had to keep up with her side of the fight. Karina proceeded to grab the Behemoths horn and swing herself onto it's back. That was followed by a few violent stabs of her keyblade into it's neck. Sadness, Anger, Rage. All three emotions mixed in her heart at once as she continue to stab at the Behemoth. "I hate you!" Karina cried out with one last stab, little did anyone know she was actually talking about herself. She looked up tears flowing down her face, she couldn't help it. She felt so weak and helpless at this point but had to keep going anyhow. She could not stop and let anyone else die. She could not let Aux or Vanitas win again, she just couldn't. Jumping off it's back Karina looked at Stratos. "I got it. You focus on attacking. And no matter what do not worry about me. I will live. I promise." Karina told him as she stood directly in front of the behemoth, not doing anything, not even guarding. It proceeded to kick her into a wall once more before using it's large horn to throw her in the air. This series of events was indeed quite painful, but they wouldn't put a stop to her. After slamming into the ground Karina picked herself up once again. She was bloodied and beaten but still she stood on shaking knees. "Is that all you got? The pain you are causing is NOTHING compared to what I am feeling in my heart right now. So take another go if you want. But if I can keep fighting through me emotional pain I can and will keep fighting despite anything you throw at me. I won't go down, I promised." Karina didn't realize how stupid she probably looked talking to a heartless. It didn't matter anyways. Between her tear stained eyes and bloodied body, she probably looked as stupid as she sounded. With both situations it didn't matter because her emotions overcame any sort of thoughts on how stupid she looked. She wanted to break down and cry but she couldn't, not now. She had to keep going even with the weight on her heart. Even through her physical pain and injuries, she couldn't stop. She wouldn't! Holding her red sweater up the Behemoth charged at Karina. Swiftly dodging the attack Karina let go of her sweater letting it hit the Behemoth, covering it's eyes. She simply watched as it tried to get the sweater off it's face, but in the mean time it gave Stratos a chance to attack. When the sweater fell from it's face, Karina watched in slight shock as the beast simply ate it. Apparently her sweater was quite tasty as it was now licking it's lips. "Oh no, don't you think about it. I have no other snacks for you." Karina said as she turned around to run. She saw the hungry look in it's eyes at it looked at her. The floor shook under her as the massive heartless started to charge towards her. It seemed it liked the taste of her, and wanted another taste. As Karina ran she let out a fierce cry seeing as both her and Stratos where injured and she would imagine the party members that had not been doing much had got injured. These heartless where not friendly. She didn't expect them to just leave people alone. As the cry rung through the air, Karina felt slightly revitalized as well as stronger. "Well kid I hope that helps." Karina said as she kept running in a circle away from the behemoth. "Hurry up...." She grumbled as she was getting tired of running. The damn heartless wanted to eat her for goodness sakes. It would make for good stories later, that was if she had anyone to tell stories to, but she didn't so what did it matter. Suddenly then enjoyment of killing all the heartless wore off and replaced by immense depression. She slowed down slightly and came to a full stop eventually, zoned out. Luckily for Karina Stratos had distracted it just in time that it didn't eat her, Karina simply stood still questioning why she was there once more instead of fighting. It wasn't until Statos lured the behemoth right beside her until she realized that it was time to fight. Summoning her keyblade, that she forgot to summon earlier Karina prepared to attack. She ran up the the heartless and jumped on it's leg to get to it's back. Her moves slowed and ambition was lessened but not completely gone, she could still fight. Karina dragged her keyblade across the heartless's back as she ran towards it's horn. As she got closer she leaped into the air and brought her keyblade down on it's horn. Karina then jumped off it's back and cast gravity once again. She enjoyed abusing that move as much as possible. Karina jumped in the air after it performing an aerial sweep, then extending the combo by somehow remaining in the air longer in order to do an additional three hits. She finished her combo by using areal slam to hit it to the ground. The behemoth smashed to the ground while Karina gracefully floated to the ground. Once on the ground she simply stood before the Behemoth, arms spread in surrender. She wasn't giving up yet, but she wanted to look like she was for now. That was until the Behemoth was trained on her. It didn't take long for it to start chasing after her. Instead of running away Karina waited until it got close and then dodge rolled under it's leg. She then circled around it and punched it's leg just to get follow her while keeping it in one area. She then dodge rolled again. She wouldn't let it get too far away from that spot. She was done carting it around half the room. Karina found herself enjoying the little ride on the Behemoths back, but once again it was short lived, however this time she knew better then to let it throw her. When she started feeling like she couldn't hold on much longer Karina pushed down on her keyblade to help launch her into the air, dislodging her keyblade as she raised up. She did a back flip for more acrobatic effect before descending down to the ground, arms spread slightly and keyblade tight in hand. As she hit the ground both knees bent and her fist with the keyblade in it punched the ground. Looking up from the tile floor beneath her, she looked at the Behemoth with a fierce look. "Come get you big lug. Doubt you can catch me." With that she stood up and threw her keyblade into the air, jumping soon after. When she landed her keyblade was no longer a weapon but a vehicle and she was riding it. "That's right bet you can't catch me now." Karina took off full speed ahead letting the behemoth chase her. Dodging left and right between heartless the behemoth could care less about his friends as it plowed right through them after her. It took a swipe at her glider which threw it off course but Karina managed to stay on, it was just difficult. Now facing a different direction then she was originally heading her plan to ram the Behemoth into a wall seemed like it wasn't going to happen, but just as well it seemed her comrade, Stratos, was on it's head. If she carried out her plan she might injure her comrade even more then both of them where already injured. Just as well she would keep it on the run for a bit. The heartless was now worried about Stratos on it's head but at the same time still chasing her for now. That changed however with Stratos's last hit. "Alright, you're up next!" Karina nodded as she aimed her glider straight up. Flying high above a bird appeared beside her. "Listen, my sustain isn't so great, I am trusting you to keep me safe, I am not going to do something all that safe, so I am trusting you." Karina told the bird before jumping off her glider down at the behemoth. As she neared it's head her glider turned back into a keyblade and appeared in her hand, just in time for a vorpal blitz. Karina made contact with it's head, but everything was not good. From there instead of landing just behind its horns she was on the wrong side and started falling towards it's now open mouth. Karina closed her eyes tight as she fell but instead of disappearing into darkness, she landed on her feathery friend. "Thanks Marahute. Put me down on the ground. I am not done yet." She instructed the bird that had saved her life. She gave her a quick pat on the head before Marahute flew high in the air once again to keep an eye on her and her group for who might need saving again. Meanwhile Karina took a deep breath as she prepared herself for another attack that could prove dangerous. "Listen kid you need to keep it running in a straight line or I will be crushed, got it!" She called out to Stratos before rolling under the behemoths open mouth that decided she looked like a tasty snack. She landed under the behemoth. From there she stuck her keyblade straight up and into it's chest, running between it's legs dragging her keyblade all the way down. Emerging on the other side Karina needed to find the best way to draw it's attention once again, if that attack wasn't enough. Karina took out several key chains out of her pocket and attached them together before attaching it to her keyblade which she previously turned into a glider. She the hooked the other end of the key chains to the behemoth's leg. They had the magic to make her keyblade look different and change the power so in theory something like this couldn't break them. Or that was Karina's theory. Karina took off on the glider and was able to take the Behemoths leg out from under him causing it to fall. When it fell the key chains came off the behemoth's leg but they did the job. Karina quickly shoved her key chains back in her pocket before taking off her sweater, leaving her only in a black tank top. She held the bright red sweater to her left as she started taunting the behemoth. If it was going to start acting like a bull, then she was going to treat it like one. She whistle. "Hey look her." She wave her red sweater in the air once again. Once again what she was doing was risky, she had dismissed her keyblade and planned on just dodge, making it run back and forth. But as risky as it was she was not worried with her own health, she just wanted to finish the thing off. With the aggro now on her and Stratos on board with the plan, it was time for Karina to cause the distraction. Karina turned around and sprinted from the angered Heartless as it came chasing full throttle after. The Heartless however big and slow proved that it's massive footsteps where the key to keeping up with her. Dodge rolling between it's legs, avoiding it stepping on her she ended up behind him. She still needed to play the role of the distraction for right now, so in order to do that she took a swipe at it's back legs to alert it of where she was. Turning round, the Behemoth swung its head hitting Karina with it's horn. There was enough force behind this hit to send her flying to the ground. She didn't have time to do much but roll to the side after hitting the ground due to an enormous foot landing inches from her face. Karina got to her feet once more just in time for it to try to give her an over sized belly button piercing with it's horn. Luckily Karina was able to guard, but that only lasted so long. The Behemoth managed to get his horn under Karina's keyblade. With only a single jerk of the head, the behemoths overwhelming strength was enough to disarm Karina. The heartless wasted no time on it's next attack. Kicking Karina so she hit the nearest wall the behemoth stood over her. To it she was nothing more than a weak defenseless little girl. She was not the strong being that the others here saw. It looked like this was the end for Karina, that it was going to stab her with it's giant horn and it would all be over, but it wasn't. Just as it was about to, something struck it in the back and the Behemoth turned away from her focusing now on Stratos. "Nice work kid. She mumbled. It took a lot of Karina's power to stagger to her feet. The beating she took although she was not hit that many times, certainly hurt a lot. "Guess it is my turn." She sighed as she summoned her keyblade back to her. "Stop!" She shouted as soon as it was in hand, casting the stop spell on the Behemoth. "Now then that should make it a bit easier for both of us right now, would't you say?" Karina the proceeded to cast another magic spell. "Gravity, don't fail me now." She spoke as the frozen Behemoth lifted into the air. "Oh and let's not forget magnify." Karina said as she use the ability on herself. "Now then where were we? Oh yeah kicking this things a$$. A smirk crossed Karina's face as she jumped into the air after the now floating behemoth, bringing her keyblade down on it's back and crashing it to the ground. Karina remained standing on it's back as she preformed a vorpal blitz, this time leaving her keyblade dug into it's skin. "So it is undoubtedly going to be pissed at me now, so I better hold on tight. Don't worry about me until you have done your fair share of the damage. I have been through worse then this trust me. I got it." Karina told Stratos as Stop wore off and Karina started getting flung around as the behemoth attempted to get her off it's back once more. But Karina's grip on her keyblade tightened as she wouldn't let go. There was no way she would let this beast almost kill her again, no she was stronger than that. She would hold her ground. As Karina waited for the Behemoth to get to her she looked at the heartless around. Six remained. It was time to take out the last of them. A burst of energy filled her and a green light enveloped her. Her comrade in the distance had cast cure on her. Stratos had her back. He then continue to cast aero on her once again. It seemed that he was proving to be a good comrade, though weak he provided her needed support. With Karina focusing on strength her sustain lacked and that is what she needed other people for, it was the only reason she would ever admit for possibly requiring help from anyone else at all. When it came to killing things she didn't need or what any help. She could do that on her own. Karina decided to make another smoke screen type thing using the papers, but this time there would be real smoke. As Karina dragged her keyblade along the ground and flung the papers up, she used her other hand to shoot a fira spell at all of the papers instantly catching them all on fire. The flames burned in mid air for a few seconds before subsiding but the smoke remain. Karina let out a small cough from inhaling the smoke before starting her next attack sequence. Karina started by casting mine square around the area the remaining heartless where most likely still in. Hearing the direction of one of the mines exploding, she then cast an blizzard spell through the smoke at one of the heartless, freezing it in place. Karina followed this up by a fire strike taking it out. She then continued to listen for more of the mines to go off, she would use that to tell her where to go next in the smoke wall. It took a lot for Karina herself to not start coughing and giving up her location. If she did that she might be in some trouble. After all there was not only the five other soldiers but many other heartless and a raging behemoth outside the smoke to deal with. Hearing another two mines go off one to her left, one to her right Karina had to make a choice which to deal with first knowing she ran the risk of losing track of the other one. Choosing left because she decided to go in alphabetical order. Bursting through the smoke to her left she started swinging her keyblade with no actual sense to why she was doing it or how. It was sloppy fighting to be sure but it did get the job done. The heartless to her left was dead, now for the one on the right. Karina started to run through the smoke searching for it until at last she could see it due to the smoke starting to clear. "There you are you little *******." Karina commented as she threw her keyblade at it, killing it with a strike raid. That left three. "Come at me I dare you!" She taunted. As they came for her a small lizard like thing jumped on Karina's shoulder. "Think you can handle this many mushu?" "Aw ya girl. I got this. I am an all mighty Dragon! Don't question my power!." "Uh huh that is nice. I already weakened them with mine square so have at 'er. I am sure you can finish them off. And with that Mushu did indeed start raining fire balls on them until all three of the remaining soldiers where dead. After a small high five, mushu disappeared into a puff of smoke and Karina was left on her own once again. Karina let out a few coughs before her focus was turned to the behemoth that was now chasing Stratos once again. It seemed that he had angered it and drawn the agro once more. Karina made her way towards the two. "Well we have got it this far and angered it this much, shall we finish the job kid?" She asked as she ran and attacked the behemoth, using a poison edge to attempt to continue the damage even after she stepped back to let Stratos have a go. The Behemoth soon turned to attack Karina but she used Guard to block it then continued to dodge roll away from one of it's kicks. "I will keep it focused on me and you attack it for now. We will switch later. Just go before it loses interest in me because we both know it hates you far more." Karina ordered of Stratos. words: 766 Exp: 30 Total: 240 Spoiler: East Side List Casualties: Behemoths: 0/5 Armored Knight: 21/55 Soliders: 65/65 Lance Soldiers: 0/20 Morning Star: 2/15 Assault Riders: 3/15 Zip Slashers: 1/5 Power Wilds: 0/50 Injuries: Behemoths 266/300
Karina was having fun riding around on the Behemoth when she saw a keyblade fly through the air hitting the Behemoth. Between the distraction of the keyblade and the extra anger of it being hit again the Behemoth was indeed able to throw Karina off his back. Karina flew into a near by bookshelf causing some of the books to fall off the shelf onto her. "Ow.." Karina groaned. It was at this time that the remaining thirteen soldiers decided they would strike. So much for the heartless not being team players. "Well this is just great." Karina commented as she blocked on of the soldiers attacks. She then used her keyblade to support her as she staggered to her feet. Her "Cure!" Karina called out, but nothing happened, no green light and no reduction of pain. "Damn what the hell?" Karina didn't quite figure out right away she was out of magic. "Guess I have to do this in my current state. That sucks, oh well. Lets do this. I could use the challenge." Karina cracked her knuckles before summoning her keyblade from the back of the Behemoth. She then twirled her keyblade for no other reason to besides to look cool. With her fancy moves done and over with it was time to start fighting. Splatter combo would help so later she could cure herself before the Behemoth could do more damage. In hind sight it probably wasn't a good idea to piss the Behemoth off. She could see it in the distance rampaging around quite clearly pissed. But that was not what Karina had to worry about, instead there was the thirteen heartless right in front of her wanting to kill her. "Well I can't kill you all at once but at least half of you can die now the other half will unfortunately have to wait. Sorry about that." Karina said almost in a nice voice even though she was speaking about their death. Since they were in such close quarters Karina didn't have room for any fancy moves. Dragging her keyblade across the ground Karina destroyed many of the book creating a paper wall between to obscure the heartless's vision of her. She then burst through the papers with a barrier surge to kill one of the Soldiers. Her own vision of all of them was skewed but she would do her best to listen and guess. She then jumped up and came down on another area and luckily hit another target. She then turned and slashed to her right and hit another that she knew was over there. Next was splatter combo to the right taking out two more of the heartless. The flow of magic energy filled Karina. She could use her magic again. But Physical attacks where what mattered now. From behind she could hear armor clanking. Spinning on her heal Karina turned in time to block an attack and push it back into another heartless. She then approached the two and stabbed them several times. By now the papers where settling down on the ground once more allowing visions. Karina could see the Behemoth rampaging around and making its way towards Stratos. "I am going to regret this later..." Karina groaned as she lifted her keyblade. "Fire!" A fire ball left the end of Karina's keyblade direction of the Behemoth. She would get it's attention. It would take time for it to get to hurt but it would stay away from Stratos for now. While it was charging towards her she would take out the remaining Soldiers. Then she would need to distract the Behemoth. That or kill it. The latter was probably the better option because it was so pissed at them it would be hard to keep it away. Hiegh Ho is done yay! Also Happy two year SOS anniversary to me :D
Karina rolled her eyes as Stratos started his speech about being a weakling or not. "That is nothing special boy." The word boy was thick on her tongue. Karina then began to repeat his skill tossing it off the back of the behemoth at a couple soldiers. "See anyone who trains in the right way can do that, don't think yourself so high and mighty. You can't always rely on that skill, eventually you will need some meat on those bones you know. At the comment of teaming up and taking out more heartless Karina smiled slightly and stood. She then jumped off and dodge rolled as she landed to avoid being kicked by the Behemoth. She didn't want to be Statos after all. He had been kicked around everywhere, it was almost funny. Having already taken out two soldiers, Karina still had five more to take through her normal routine of doing things. Follow that by the one attack on the Behemoth that she was previously sat on. Karina flipped her hair out behind her back as she walked forward. Karina could care less about this battle. She was being careful but the small heartless where tedious to kill. They needed to be dealt with but tedious none the less. At least looking out on the soldiers now, their numbers where dwindling. "Well at least we are getting somewhere." Karina held her keyblade tight as she ran forward at a soldier. Karina run up to one slashing it four times twice diagonally once horizontal and once vertical creating a star. Next was a strike raid to her left to take out one more. Karina had time to yawn and stand for a second before catching her strike raid. Four down three to go. A poison edge was used to start damage on the next heartless as Karina ran off to deal with the sixth. She ran forward and knocked it into the air before jumping up after it and send it crashing to the ground. It was time to go back a deal with the one that was poisoned. The poison had brought it down enough it was simple to deal with. Karina simply stabbed it in the chest and walked away. "Aw come on only one more right now? Body why must you put these limits on me?" She whined as she headed towards the seventh heartless. Karina stabbed it once just because she was bored and didn't care to do anything else yet. As she removed her keyblade from it, she didn't pay enough attention to realize that it started an attack aimed at her keyblade not her. Being as unexpected as it was Karina's keyblade flew out of her hand and across the room. Annoyed Karina started to attack it with her bare hands, punching and kicking and in the end as it died trying to rip off it's head. Her cockiness had gotten the better of her it seemed. Karina started across the room to get her keyblade when she was quickly blocked by one very angry behemoth. "Sh*t." Karina said under her breath as she jumped backwards to avoid it kicking her. This was followed by a dodge roll when it attempted to step on her. Attack after attack she dodged, but she couldn't keep it up forever. Eventually it kicked her, landing her father from her keyblade then she previously was. With Karina on her back in slight pain the Behemoth went to stomp on her. A sudden idea came to mind. "Reluctancy!" She called out as she cast some sort of magic spell on the area. Karina stood up and ran away from the Behemoth who was being that was being prevented from attacking her. As she ran for her keyblade she cast one more spell on herself, cure. It was better to play it safe, not let herself get too injured. Just as Karina grabbed her keyblade the spell wore off and the Behemoth came charging at her once again. Karina stood patiently as she waited for it to get closer. Once close enough she jumped into the air and came down on it's back once again digging her keyblade in for support. She held on tight as this time she was going to ride it standing up while it attempted to get her off it's back. It was a really good thing that the heartless weren't team players or she might have been screwed by this move. words:747 exp: 30 totally: 180 Spoiler: East Side List Casualties: Behemoths: 0/5 Armored Knight: 18/55 Soliders: 48/65 Lance Soldiers: 0/20 Morning Star: 0/15 Assault Riders: 3/15 Zip Slashers: 1/5 Power Wilds: 0/50 Injuries: Behemoths 276/300 Armored Knight 4/5
Tasha's smile faded slightly at Callums first comment. Still being hostile towards her obviously, if only he understood how a simple comment like that hurt her. The smile returned to her face however when he finally introduced himself. "I..." Tasha started quietly. "I didn't mean to hurt you... I don't want to hurt you please believe me." Tasha sounded sad and truly sorry. "You hurt me and... I guess I didn't know how else to deal with it at the time I don't know what came over me. I am sorry." Tasha said as she took a step back. He made it clear that he didn't want people near him. "Sorry." She said once again. There was now a good meter or two between Callum and her but she was not going to give up talking to him. "So..." Tasha started as she rubbed her right arm nervously. "What do you do in your free time? Do you like video games? Reading?" Tasha honestly didn't know how to start the conversation with him. After all she hurt him and he hurt her, but she wanted to be friends. She could see all Callum really needed was a friend.
"Not too bad, but your form could use some work, and defiantly your strength. You have toothpick arms, I mean jeez you would have to try to be that weak." Karina stated as she shook her head at Stratos. She didn't know it was possible to that weak. Like how? Either way Karina nodded her approval, he did get the job done after all. Karina dodge rolled out of the way as she watched the Behemoth go after Stratos. "Wow that thing really hates you. Have fun. I am going to go take out more of the heartless. You have fun running away from that." Karina said as she left Stratos with the Behemoth. "At least I will know where to find it when I am done with more of these soldiers." "Lets see what I can do now. Seven more soldiers, can't be that hard, but how is the question, how do I wish to annihilate them?" Karina spoke as she twirled her keyblade around in her hand. "Look closely and learn a thing or two. This is what strength will truly get you." Karina said to Stratos deciding to show her power through nothing but basic attacks. No need for fancy magic and such when she could easily take out all the soldiers with basic attacks. Karina ran forward bringing her keyblade down on the head of the first soldier. Karina then jumped forward at the next heartless slashing on an angle and then horizontally. She continued by doing a front flip and bringing her keyblade on another one. A soldier tried to attack Karina but she canceled it around by spinning, literally all she did was spin. Once she finished her cyclone she stumbled around a bit, obviously dizzy. "How do people do that." She mumbled as she regained her composer. Karina walked up and kicked the Soldier that she used Cyclone on. She then hit it with her keyblade, but first she had to let her childish side get the better of her. Karina then let her keyblade disappear. "Lets do this bare handed." She ran up to a soldier and punched it's face before kicking it in the crotch and delivering one final blow to it's chest. "Five down two to go." Karina ran to the next soldier, back flipping and kicking it in the jaw in the process. As she landed from that she followed it up by a front flip in which she brought her right leg down on its head. With that, the sixth heartless was dead, time for number seven. Karina ran up and stopped before it allowing it time to attack. As it did she grabbed it's arm and threw it to the ground before picking it up throwing it again then stomping on it's chest several times. This was at the cost of a few injuries on her leg but she could manage. "Okay now I will come distract the behemoth for you." Karina said as she ran using various heartless's backs as stairs up to the Behemoth. She would jump from one back to another until she got to the Behemoth. On the final jump she summoned her keyblade and dug it into the heartless's back. She then sat down and held her keyblade. tight as the Behemoth tried to get her off it's back. "This is fun." She giggled as she tried to keep her balance. "Falling might hurt but you know anytime before that is fun so why the hell not." Karina seemed to be struggling slightly to stay on but not as bad as she could be. "Your turn weakling." She taunted Stratos a bit just for the fun of taunting him.
