I think part of this is that people believe that guys can handle themselves better then girls can. They are typically viewed as both physically and mentally stronger, meanwhile a girl is simply a damsel. Culture and what we see on tv, read in books, see in videogames, generally support this concept that males handle themselves better and females need rescued because most of the time if someone needs rescued it is a female. Even when there isn't you look at two protagonists in the same piece of media and the female has a more emotional reaction. For example Snow and Lightning. Lightning emotions came through as anger half the time but they where still there and obvious. Because of even emotional reactions it is often seen the female needs help more often, not the male. I do not agree with the fact there is a double standard and that guys don't need help, but the world around us tries to say men are strong enough to handle themselves, when in reality they might not show it all the time but they need help just as much and experience the same emotional harm as females. People fight for women to be treated equally, should that not also include in negative ways if they are the source of abuse not getting abused? For equality you have to take on same responsibility and consequences and it seems at this point not everyone understands that.
Zylen watched as a few men entered the underground, one of which he didn't recognize at all but he did recognize others. Either way he was positive these where who Damnation spoke of. The one Zylen didn't recognize spoke in a way to make she he was aware they knew of his presence, but chances where not his exact location. Zylen began to walk among the rafters high in the shadows, he used the sound if his footsteps as a way to pinpoint where had the most echo, once found Zylen stopped. "Whatever you are looking fir I can assure you it is not here..." Zylen started letting his voice ring through the building. Because of his location it was hard to pinpoint the origin of his voice, it was the perfect spot. "I will give you one chance to leave, if you don't take my offer I will personally kill ever one of you, without you even knowing I was there." He threatened. Zylen was good at what he did but he questioned if he was that good. Either way he needed to get rid odd them and he hoped for minimal blood shed. However, he would kill anyone if it meant saving his own hide from Damnation. Xaria woke up bright and early ready for her new job. Throwing on cloths she remembered there was a couple deliveries she promised to make first. Grabbing a plain piece if bread she ran out the door down the street to her first job. "Good morning. How are you?" Xaria asked the shop keeper as she began to pick up the parcels. She had idle small talk for a couple minutes before running back out and starting her deliveries. There wasn't that many this morning, only about half a dozen, which was good since she promised Doku she would he at her shop bright and early. The spirox district was quite an area to cover however even with a minimal amount if deliveries. At around quarter to eight Xaria found herself running up to Doku's shop. She slowed as she neared it slowly opening the door. "Um... Ms. Doku? Are you here? I am ready start. Hope I'm not late." Xaria was nervous, like she was to start any new job. She was scared Doku had tried to do some research on her and discovered her origins and wouldn't want her around. Or worse yet if she would make Xaria go home. That was always a risk for Xaria but she needed to work of she wanted to continue living on her own evading her parents. Plus the potion Doku gave her yesterday had really helped her, but as morning came her mind felt fogged over once more and she had to try and avoid using her powers as to not accidentally get in trouble. She wanted more of the potion but currently couldn't afford it.

Karina looked at the others then down at the ground as the aura of wind faded around her. How many times in that battle did she rely on others for support? If only she was stronger she could have killed it faster and not needed Eon and Krowley, to protect her. "Aw come on girl you did good. None of that pouty face now." The little red dragon said. "Mushu you shouldn't be here anymore! Just go!" She ordered him knowing his time to help was up. "Hey that's not fair. I just wanted to see how the battle ended, and I glad I did." Karina was already remembering why she found the lizard annoying. She decided to deal with it Glen style. She lowered the tip of her keyblade to the ground then swung it back. She paused before swinging it down at Mushu sending him flying. "If you where a real dragon you could just fly away yourself." She grumbled as she turned from Mushu and looked towards the castle. "Guess we should see how the others are doing." Her tone was not impressed and rather angry as she spoke. One would think they should be happy after finishing the battle they had, but truth be told Karina was never happy with anything she did.
"I can hear you!" Gwen yelled back at Beuce as she walked away. She was still within earshot and didn't really like the comment about riding hood. She stopped and turned around to face the guys, waiting for them to catch up. Her hands where in her back pockets as she glared at them while they approached. "Look you guys are both nut jobs. Like seriously. I don't know why I bother with you Hunter. Who cares if my kill count isn't as high as yours. At least I have morals." Gwen turned again to walk away. She lied when she acted like she didn't care about their kill counts , she really did but it wasn't worth her time at the moment to fret over it. "If you two insist on following me I have two rules. First. Stop it with the hitting on me. Second. No killing unless someone is attacking you or an innocent. I have a feeling there is going to be enough death, you do not need to add to it for your sadistic enjoyment." Gwen instructed. She was rather serious most of the time but that is what made her and Hunter a good team on the rare occasion they go out hunting together. She balanced out hunters non seriousness. And they where both quite deadly for humans. Cierra continued to wander the streets of the human district. It seemed that everyone was to caught up with the zombies around to pay any mind to her, that was a good thing. As much as she was confident she could kill most humans, she didn't want to draw attention to herself, but rather just listen for information. As Cierra walked the area she was in began to feel oddly familiar. She kept walking at first not cluing into why, but as she got a little further in she saw a large, dark gated building. That is when she realized where she was. Cierra turned and started to walk quickly away from the area. Just being there scared her, even though she knew no one in the prison would be able to see her from where she stood. Soon enough Gwen was in the heart of the human district. She was getting quite a few stares from people due to her chains but no one really did anything about it. She started ducking into ally ways to keep out of sight as she walked around. It wasn't long before she spotted a trio of people, a girl and two guys. She stayed in the shadows but was close enough to listen in. Those three where unlike the rest of the people she saw here, they where not scared. Cierra didn't know why but she wanted to know. She also wanted to know if one of them knew about the prisoner. Of course she couldn't ask, but they had stopped to talk. Cierra didn't catch much of their conversation before they began to walk once more. Cierra attempted to follow while being as silent as possible, which turned out to be a bigger challenge then expected. All she could do was hope that none of them had heard her as she moved closer. Gwen shot up her hand to signal they guys to stop. "Listen..." She said quietly. Gwen had caught hint of some sort of metal rattling. "Someone might be following us. Did you hear that?" She said quietly catching hint of Cierra's presence. She prepared her bow and notched an arrow as she turned around to look for where the sound might have come from. There was no sight right away, but Gwen was paranoid that someone might be following them to this underground exit. She didn't know who or what it might be, but she didn't want to let anyone else know about it. The only reason Beuce and Hunter where allowed to tag along was because they were there when they were informed of it's location, they would find it anyways.
With Eon using Breaktime Karina now had two options now. She could either continue with her original plan, which was setting using Aerial slam again. Or she now had a chance to use Mushu's limit before he left. This was his last attack and she wanted to make it count. "Don't fail me now Mushu." She mumbled under her breath, hoping she was making the right choice and using Mushu's limit would in fact do more damage then she would do with him on their own. If it didn't she only had herself to blame and would feel really bad for letting down the team. Karina knew how much damage she could do on her own however. Karina changed her mind last minute not using the limit she was thinking of using. Instead she would use her original plan and let Mushu continue doing his own thing. Karina leaped into the air and came down on the giant machine slapping it into the ground. It was almost over. Karina wiped the air out of her face and glanced at Krowley knowing he could finish this hunk of junk off. Cierra began to near the entrance to the human district. She glanced back to see if there was any sight of Orpheus and Sven, but as she expected there wasn't. She dismounted her horse and approached a guard. "Let me through. I am with General Orpheus and Master Sven. I need through to collect information on the fugitive before the arrive. If there is any defiance to this consequences will ensue once I tell the general about it. I am doing this on his orders." Cierra was somewhat bluffing, she didn't go ahead on his orders but instead decided to follow up on the orders of the king by going ahead. Either way Cierra was confident that if she was doing the right thing and Orpheus would agree with her actions and most likely follow through with the threat, if he didn't she would. There was no need to harsh actions though, the guard moved to let her through to the human district. The humans might not have been allowed out, but being allied with those she was, she would be able to come and go without an issue, in theory. She allowed her chains to drag, not wanting to give off she was a luster right away. Humans could always guess, but nothing could be for certain yet... That was unless the warden had a search out for her still with a drawing and fliers to let everyone know. In truth she didn't put it past him and started to fear the thought. Either way it was too late to turn around now. Cierra started into the district keeping an ear out for anything she could hear that could possibly relate to the fugitive and his whereabouts. Gwen approached the now fallen Feo, yanking her arrow out of his shoulder. "You might want to get that checked out. My arrows are laced with poison, if not treated soon, it wills stop your heart." Gwen warned as she turned around to walk away putting her arrow back in her quiver wanting to save as many as possible. That was when Hunter spoke up. That man really knew how to grind Gwens gears. "Bigger threat I am the more lusters want me dead. Hunter unlike you I live my life in the shadows, I do not wish to share the fate of my family. Yes I kill but if I am not seen as a threat then I will not be killed. Range gives me that chance to do that, you however are just signing your death wish. But I am sure you didn't think of that, you have never been the best at thinking things through." Next up was Gwen going back to deal with Beuce. "My name is not Redsy, never call me that again. I don't know who you think you are but you are as bad as he is." She gestured to Hunter. "You are both cocky, idiotic hot heads. I swear you are looking to die. Your random stupid threats do not scare me, they just make me want to hurt you more, but since I am such a nice person I won't. Not yet at least. So piss off." Gwen slung her bow over the ther shoulder that did not hold her quiver. "I'm going to find that tile." Gwen began to walk away.
Xapphiras was slightly annoyed that the first thing Gexln decided to teach her was dark firaga. That was the one thing R had already taught her, but she decided a refresher could never hurt. He also spoke of her depressive nature but at the time she didn't care too much, she didn't know what she could do about it so decided not to worry about it for the time being. Xepphiras didn't have much experience in just holding a dark firaga, generally as soon as she made it she would fire it off, perhaps this is how she would learn to control the darkness better, if she could have full control over just this one thing then it could only get better right? The first few times Xepphiras tried she make the dark fire ball but it flickered out in moments when she did not release it. This happened several times in a row and Xepphiras began to get frustrated. "Ugh I can't do it!" She yelled out. As she did a large amount of dark flames appeared in her hand, a lot more then she wanted to appear. This startled her causing her to drop it as she let out a scream jumped back bumping into Gexln. Looking down a the floor there was a decent size hole in front of her with a few small black flames lingering on the edge. "... Opps..." She said cringing slightly. She then remembered what Gexln said about not having a negative attitude. "Hehe... at least it remained. I can do it!" She said trying to be positive as she took a step away from Gexln and around the hole in the ground. Xepphiras tried once more this time thinking more positively telling herself that she could do it, and that it wasn't a big deal. As such she was able to accomplish her goal and looked at Gexln with a small smile feeling quite accomplished. "Hey look... I did it. What do you want me to do now?" She asked him. Her voice almost sounded kind for once, not nervous and quiet. Just a normal voice, not a way she talked very often.
Karina was getting really irritated with the boss battle and all the times it would stop taking damage. All she could do at the moment was do her best to prepare for the next round. All that Karina could think of doing for that is casting Gravity again. This time her hit wouldn't effect it nearly as much but it could still do quite a but of damage, and every little bit helped. Gwen shook her searing hand. Apparently this luster make her body extremely hot. She ripped off the glove she was wearing before it could risk melting to her skin. Despite the pain she picked up her bow and loaded an arrow. "Shut up! I will deal with you later." She instructed Beuce as she pulled back her arrow and started to carefully aim it. The Luster moved fast but with range speed didn't matter, it was the intelligence and the accuracy. Instead of shooting for where Feo was she estimated where he would be and shot three arrows consecutively. With her speed, brains, and accuracy, at least one was bound to hit him. From the looks of things Gwen believed Hunter to be getting desperate. "What's the matter old man? Can't keep up? Perhaps you should have saved some of those daggers you used as throwing knives. Distance gives an advantage you know." At this point Gwen was feeling rather smug. Yeah Hunter had a bigger kill count than her but man was he stupid. Gwen had nearly forgotten that, but just a few minutes with Hunter and it becomes almost laughable that you forgot. With a slight roll of her eyes Gwen notched another arrow and pulled back on the string, she wasn't going to shoot yet. No she had to see how Hunter tackling Feo played out. Her arrows where a limited resource, she had to be careful with them. Cierra was shaking a bit. She hated to think of her past, it scared her and brought her great discomfort, but that never stopped her from completing the task at hand. She would simply shake it off and keep going. As long as she didn't have any run-ins with the warden while they were completing their task, Cierra was confident she could move past it enough to be the killer she promised herself she would be. She would kill if it meant that she should be their and was trusted. She had practiced and honed her skills for that since the day she escaped prison and was now half decent with it. She had also gained many other skills since then but killing was her main one the rest were pretty basic or thing she should have already known but forgot either due to brain injury or the years she spent not using them in prison. Sven had told Cierra to make her own choice. He wanted her to think for herself, but she had no idea what she was supposed to do. She stood there quiet for a moment, eyes down. She didn't budge, she didn't follow Sven or say or do anything. Finally no knowing what else she was supposed to do, Cierra mounted her horse and prepared to continue on their mission they had been assigned. Cierra road forward past where the group was gathered heading towards the human district. She wanted to try to be useful to not only Sven but Orpheus. Perhaps if she could gain information about the locations of the escaped prisoner she could actually feel somewhat useful. She rarely failed any mission she was given, but even with that she never felt like much use to either of them. Now was her chance to change that. Once the group was a good twenty meters behind her she picked up a galop on her horse. She didn't want to kick dust in their faces, hence the waiting but now she was off to see what she could find in the human district. This was the first time in a long time that she entered there again or even left Svens side.

Karina knew they had a good thing going here With mushu by her side they were nearly unstoppable. Karina didn't feel the need for any fancy moves when she had Mushu with her. If she did a basic attack he would make up the damage she didn't do. Karina smiled at Vincent before she attacked but she could tell he was getting annoyed. He had not had a chance to attack much this fight since their team was already over powered enough as it is. With a small encouraging smile.
