Xera glared at Vex with his response about her getting caught. "To be fair I have never seen a magic that allows my sword to bounce off someones fricken clothing. My sword should have pierced that easy." She crossed her arms and turned to the door. Her neck still ached from where Precious was grabbed her and squeezed so hard, as did her leg, but this sixteen year old girl was not weak in the slightest. She had a tough skin and didn't want to let anyone think any different of her, so even the times that she was hurt, she didn't let anyone see. Especially not Vex. He was her only hope to escape her home life, she did not want to go back to her father. When Vex began talking to her again she listened closely before a wicked grin appeared across her face. Starting an actual rebellion. Oh this would be fun. "I will follow you into whatever endeavor you wish." Xera said in an obedient voice, but it was clear from her expression that she liked the idea indeed. She didn't care for the king much, what had he ever done to help her and her family in poverty. The high ups seemed to love this king, he was so great, but she had yet to see it in her own life. His next question she couldn't help with. "I have never entered the wretched place." Was her only response before indicating towards the door for Vex to go first. "I will follow your lead, no matter what the circumstance." This type of behavior was definitely on and off for Xera. She was not always that formal, but she was during two occasions. One was when she was trying to get on Vex's good side for whatever reason, whether she messed up or wanted something. The other reason was when she was in full support of what he was about to do and wished to show her loyalty. Besides that Xera was usually a bit of a smartass or at the very lease not formal in the slightest just following for the sake of following. Samuel followed his brother out of their little hiding place as Oscar tried to reassure him that everything was going to be okay. There was two problems with his plan however, getting past Moredoor, and convincing the king. The first one was Samuel's issue since he was the one that suggested to go this way, meaning he had to be prepared to find a solution to get to the other side of Moredoor himself. However he was aware of what he had gotten himself into, as well as the long walk ahead of them that he could use to plan how he was going to go through with this. However dealing with the king, that was Oscars problem. Samuel was not convinced that they could convince the king to let them be free, he wasn't convinced that he could even get in to see the king. Oscar was a wanted criminal and he was his accomplice. Why would anyone let them anywhere near the castle? This was a worry for Samuel. He didn't want to be on the run for the rest of his life. That was no way to live, but if they didn't it was a way to die. Samuel looked ahead at the empty dirt road ahead of them. He tightened his grip on his sack of supplies he had stolen for them. This was their life, it had been for a while, one abandoned road to another trying to avoid the guards. He should be used to it but he did't want to accept it. There was not much ahead but by the end of the day they should be able to reach the happy mountains, whether or not they could stay for a rest was another question all together, chances where no they couldn't. Samuel picked up his pace slightly as he stared ahead now deciding to start planning how they might get across Moredoor.
Silvia But her lip as she waited for Jacks response. Perhaps stepping out of her comfort and asking him was not the greatest idea she has had, but what was done was done. He explained that he didn't see the point in it. Silvia just let out a disappointed "Oh." She then looked up slightly feeling the need to justify herself."I just asked because everyone was having so much fun dancing and I didn't want you to feel left out because you weren't invited and you were the only guy on the mission and I don't know." Silvia spurt out before turning away from him. "Sorry." She said about to leave him alone when all of the sudden a snowball hit her. She turned around to see Jack smirking, ready to play. A small smile tugged the edge of Silvia's lips as she picked up a snow ball and threw it back. It wasn't long before a full fledged snowball fight broke out between everyone there. Thea was right in the middle of the war with snowballs being attacked from all sides. Skadi stood on one side of her, Sara hid behind a snow fort on the other. Thea stood in the middle unprotected, simply throwing snow balls at everyone she saw, including Mizuki on occasion. Her childish giggles echoed through the cool winter air as she danced around throwing snowball after snowball at her new found friends. She never had this much fun with anyone at Magus Ascension. No one ever wanted to play with her, this was new and so much fun. She smiled brightly at all her friends there. It seemed as though she had found a new home, this time one that wouldn't use her, or so she hoped. With one snow ball after another hitting her Thea finally decided that she needed something to protect herself. She could make a wall of snow like Sara, but that was so boring. She was a fire mage after all! So instead Thea decided on a trick that Ezekiel had taught her. A shield that would melt any snow ball before it hit her if she was able to aim it right. She would only make a small one on her arm, make it fair for everyone. Thea put down her snowballs that she was carrying and started to focus on creating the shield of spiraling fire, but none would come. So she tried again putting a little more focus on it. Still nothing. It shouldn't have been surprising considering her magic was acting up, but now that they weren't in an actual battle and she had time to play around with it a bit she decided to keep trying. Occasionally she would get a small flame but never what she sought to make. On her last attempt she was getting frustrated and she had poured so much magic energy into the one spot in order to create a shield. The magic lost control, finally manifesting itself as a flame, however a blue flame. A wild fire. The blue flames exploded from Thea's arm and raced along the ground spreading out around her and melting a lot of the snow in the surrounding area. "Watch out!" Thea screeched knowing the dangers of these flames. She had seen their destructive qualities many times in the past and she had no control over them. The spread in seconds and took about five to die out leaving the ground with puddles of water instead of snow. Thea was now kneeling on the wet ground sobbing. Not because of the sharp pain in her chest, the same one that she felt instead of a flare up, but this time more intense. Instead she was sobbing because she was scared of the damage her flames might have caused. They were powerful and Thea knew they could hurt people. What if they did? Or what if people became too scared of her and kicked her out. Thea didn't know what to do. She simply held her arm to her chest, curled up and cried. Silvia was having fun with the snowball fight when Thea had her outburst. She wasn't standing too far away from Thea either. As the flames spread all Silvia could do was throw her hands in front of her face to protect her. Silvia let out a small cry of pain as the flames licked the surface of her arms. As they died down she simply backed off slightly, distancing herself from the young fire mage as much as possible. When she had accomplished that Silvia began to work on healing herself. If she was fast enough and had enough magic she should be able to avoid it scarring. Once she had accomplished that she looked at everyone else. "Is anyone hurt?" She asked. "I can help." Silvia offered. She still stood away from Thea, fear of the young girl building deep in her heart.
Sapphire gave her friend one last nod before she left. Sapphire couldn't help but still feel a bit upset and jealous. She considered watching how the confrontation went down but she knew better than that. So instead Sapphire decided to return to her throne room. Beuce should have been done messing around in the room next door, not actually doing the job he was assigned now. She opened a dark corridor to return to her throne room, but instead of finding Beuce and Stratos, sitting on her chair or tee-peeing her throne room or anything like that she expected to find them doing she simply saw Eigo kneeling before her chair... still.... How long had he been sitting there? Had he fallen asleep while kneeling before her? It was possible she supposed. Sapphire cleared her throat to try to get his attention before speaking. "May I ask what you are doing still kneeling here Eigo." Sapphire tried to be polite but it rather weirded her out he was still kneeling there. Freya had followed into the cave still providing the only source of light. It started to flicker as she was struggling to maintain the constant flow of mana to it after the big spells she had cast. Either way she kept it lit enough that they had vision in the cave. However by the end there was nothing in the cave, nothing for Freya to worry about. Lexcifur seemed to have observed the same and his reply to the question only came shortly after. That would be why they hung around him so much. He was the planner, he would have had the answer she sought. It was a non-issue now however sing as there was nothing there and they were about to move forward Freya turned to leave with everyone when a voice stopped her dead in her tracks much as it did Lexcifur. The light she had been holding up now went out as she couldn't concentrate on keeping it going any longer. She looked at companion then to were the voice was coming from. Xero? Lexcifurs mother was here? Did her mom send her? What could this possibly been about? It had been so long and Freya almost wanted to break down and cry just because of the familiar face from her home world that she hadn't been to for so long. She missed it so much. Freya covered her mouth and stared at Xero for a moment longer then glanced back at Lexcifur to see how he was doing. In shock so it seems. "W-what are you doing here?" Freya stammered, only now realizing that she allowed the light to go out and the cave was dark. However she had exhausted her magic enough she couldn't bring herself to create another light. This was just all too much. As Alisia was finally set down she was prepared for the yelling that was to come. However Samsara barely started when she stopped and changed her approach, once again seeming to be nicer to her. However Alisia had go inclination to believe that this was true and not just an act again. As Samsara talked to her Alisia hardly listened, what did she care.By the end Samsara tried to give her more instruction on not dooming people. All Alisia could say to her was "Piss off." With that Alisia pushed herself off the ground ready to walk on her own. She wasn't about to doom Samsara again only for the reason she didn't feel like passing out again and being forced back into the darkness of her own mind, her dreams. It was a scary place to be. She did't want another memory like the last one she just had, so she wouldn't let herself be passed out and subjected to that once again. Before even a step could be taken away from the party a very colourful man walked up to them and started talking to them as well. He wanted to give them some advice as he called it. Alisia was a bit moody, so again like with Samsara she barely listened to what he had to say. Something about getting where she was coming from and crap as well as you know don't kill people. "If you want to tell people not to team kill talk to him." Alisia indicated to Dane as she spoke in an irritated voice. Just the thought of what he had done to Dain made her stomach churn. She looked away for a moment. "You don't have to worry about me killing anyone, I am not strong enough to protect myself long enough for my spell to work anyhow." Alisia said with both bitterness and sadness in her voice. She then turned away from Lucien and submitted herself back into the role that she was trying to escape. There was no use fighting it at this moment. Alisia took her place at Danes side, head down waiting to see if there was another lecture from him too. After all she just tried to run away he probably wouldn't be too happy about it. It sickened her to be standing next to and submitting to the man who had destroyed her world, her dream only reminded her of that, but what other choice did she have?
Silvia looked around as she danced. She was stumbling about, finding it hard to keep her balance and dance. Everyone else seemed to be having fun though. That was good. It made Silvia slightly more Glad to see everyone having fun. Thea's laughter drifted through the air making it seem brighter. However Silvia herself was still in a somewhat somber mood. No one had come around to help her back up after she stumbled with her emotions. That being said she did kind of separate herself from the group for a bit and avoid people, so it was to be expected. After a couple moments Silvia looked around for anyone who wasn't dancing. Se slowly walked up to Jack trying to force herself to get over her shyness as she went to talk to him. "Do you want to dance with me, please?" Silvia asked not finding the courage to look up at Jack. Instead Silvia held her hands behind her back and looked at the ground. She made small circles on the ground with her foot. A slight blush crossed her face. She just wanted people to have fun and not just stand there. She wasn't good at dancing yet she would dance, so why shouldn't anyone else? Thea was giggling and dancing when a ball of snow hit her. She looked around to see who threw it, and found Skadi laughing and throwing a snow ball at Mizuki. Thea stopped dancing for a moment and made a ball of snow, throwing it at Skadi, she then made another one and threw it at Sara and giggled. "Play with us Sara!" She called out before continuing to dance. It was so much fun dancing. Hopefully the fairies would like their dance enough to let them go see the Sugar Plum Princess. Thea still had her heart set on seeing her because she believed that she would be beautiful. At this moment her magic was far away from her. There was no worries, no past. There was just the snow, her friends, dancing and fairies. Thea feal safe in te snow, it would help with her fire keeping it under control if that was needed, or that was the theory. Her magic was a bit out of control and unpredictable so it wasn't a guarantee. But that was not her worry. Her mind was far away from this at the moment, which was good for the young girl, she needed to escape the stress of what was happening with her magic.
Now Karina stood in front of the smaller scared version of herself that was locked deep in her heart. Karina trembled as she took a step closer to the girl. The closer she got the more she came to realize this girl was not wearing any clothing. Upon reaching the girl Karina froze, staring at her bare back. A trembling hand reached out and touched one of two long scars that crossed that crossed her back. Karina could now feel a slight ache in her own back where those scars still lay. The ones no one knew about except the people who where their for that event, about half the town. No one part of this group knew about them though. She remembered the day she had received the scars vividly. It started with her standing before her father and a strange man that she had never met before. He was close to ten years older then her, fairly hansom, fit, a part of her fathers army, but he also had little respect for woman. She had seen how he had treated some of his servants before and it was not pleasant. Karina didn't know what to expect but she didn't know what to expect if she went through with this arranged marriage. She respected her father, and wanted to respect his choices and be a good daughter, but a part of her told her that she couldn't. She couldn't bring herself to follow what he wanted because of the reputation of the man she was betrothed to. So she ended up letting her temper get the better of her, yelling and spitting in his face, refusing to marry him. Of course both of the men got annoyed, angry for this. The man who she was betrothed to was yelling for her to get stoned in the street, but instead her father convinced him of a different punishment in which she would live but with two stipulations. One being she was to get whipped in the street, the other that she had to live out her days as a complete servant to her father, no longer a daughter, just a possession. But at least she would live. Karina never thought of herself as much more than just a possession to her father anyways, he didn't seem to acknowledge her as anything else no matter how hard she tried. Later that night Karina had been dragged into the middle of the town square. She was forced to her knees, hands tied in front of her to a pole in the ground so her back was easily exposed. Her shirt was torn from her back so there was nothing to numb the pain even in the slightest. She was forced to sit in the street like that for a good half an hour before anything would happen. Just to humiliate her. Show her worthlessness to the entire world. To expose her for the nothingness that she really was. The disgrace she was. To show that she was unworthy of anything the world had to offer to her anymore. Her muscles were tired and sore from sitting in the same position when the true punishment came. Two lashes, one each from the men she had wronged. One from the man her father tried to betroth her to, and the other from her father. Karina thought that she was ready, that she knew what she signed up for but when the time came for the punishment it as more agonizing that she would have believed. Two lashes from a cord whip both from men with great strength. Both strikes made her cry out with pain as warm blood dripped down her back. Tears rolled down Karina's face as everyone stood around and simply laughed. People took there time filing away after that, no one bothering to stop and help her. She was left tied there until the last person left and her mother was permitted to leave the house and release her. However she was not permitted to help with the injuries in anyway. Karina was left to deal with the wounds on her back by herself, which was a seemingly impossible job due to the fact they where two lines crossing the length of her back and there was no way of reaching them properly. The pain that followed in the next days was one tat she barely thought she could manage as her father put her to work. Many times the wounds opened again and she had to start the healing process one more time. It felt like at least a month before they ever truly closed without worry of reopening. Karina removed her hand from the girls back and stepped away still shaking. Why did her mind bring her here to this place? Why was she forced to live this again. She was supposed to be helping fight not passed out and taking a trip through the inner workings of her mind. It was unfair and painful. She didn't want to go through that again. She looked around in the darkness to see cracks of light. The shell, the shield that protected her heart was starting to break. Karina ran to one of the cracks desperately trying to find a way to patch it. It wasn't working, there was no patching it. The only solution was finding a way to keep it from cracking further. To keep people away from her so they couldn't break it any more. Did that mean she had to continue being the monster that she had become? Did she have to stay in that life to protect herself from others, and more importantly others from that side of her. She feared what would happen if it got out. Whatever it was it wouldn't be good. Also Karina's keyblade lifted up and shot another fire ball without Karina being conscious because it has a mind of its own. And don't say this doesn't work, look at Ventus in bbs, he did it twice. After Karina had preformed her combo a wave of sickness washed over her making her feel dizzy and nauseous. Everything around her seemed to slow down. Karina knelt close to the ground and held her head allowing for everyone else to attack while she got over... well whatever this was, she really didn't know. Perhaps she just needed a rest from things. However why would she need a rest and no one else need one. She was strong she had trained for quite a while and had high agility. This didn't make sense. And why now? Why did she have to get sick now? Karina ended up collapsing to the floor holding her stomach. The world around her blurred and started to become dark. Why now? She hadn't even gotten injured. Like the thousand heartless battle she seemed to pass out at the worst times. Karina let out a groan. She had to do something to help before she passed out. A small fireball left the tip of her keyblade before the world went black for her. It was nothing special, wasn't even that strong, and she could only hope it hit the mark. In the darkness names were called out. "Useless... pathetic.... nothing.... stupid.... whore.... worthless." Her fathers voice echoed in her mind. Reminders of why she was here, but not only that, reminders why she shouldn't go letting anyone in. Reminders what she truly was. In the darkness came a curled up shivering. The figure resembled Karina but a lot younger, more frail. She was chained to the floor. When the girl looked up her face was stained with tears. Who was this girl? It was Karina's true identity, what she was really like deep inside her heart. The girl she kept chained deep down as a reminder of why she had become what she had become. Why she couldn't simply just stop being this. Because if she stopped the act of being as touch as she was, then people would see this side of her and if they saw that side of her... well it would be a repeat of what happened with her father. As soon as her father found her biggest weakness, the need to be truly appreciated for what she tried to do. No matter what it was. She wanted to fight but she didn't plan to become this... She was going to be a run of the mill soldier, just good enough to make the army, good at everything. But she wasn't good enough so she had to go above and beyond in everything she did. But her father knew that it bothered her when he didn't appreciate what she did, so to get back at all the trouble that she caused. This was on top of the beating she would get because clearly those where not enough to get through to her. This all scared Karina to no end but she swallowed her fear and kept moving. It was the hardest thing that she had ever done. She locked the fragile hurt girl deep in her heart and put on a mask. Mickey cracked the mask slightly, so did Beuce and Stratos. The mask was about to fall apart and Karina didn't know what to do about it. Perhaps it was the stress of that that caused her to feel sick. Perhaps there was something she needed to be reminded of, but she didn't want to be reminded of any of this. She didn't want to see the cracks in the darkness of her heart threatening to expose what was beneath. It wasn't fair. Why now? (Physical Immune) Black Demon: 131
"Hurry up, hurry up, hurry up, hurry up!" The young Rachelle rushed her leprechaun companion. "I want to see the goddess and I want to see her now!" She continued to complain. "Aye shut your pie hole lass we will get there, not ll of us have a set of wheels to move around on like you do. Some of us wee folk have stubby little legs." Stewert replied to the girl not feeling the same urgency as her even though the castle was literally falling down around him. If they died now, well at least he wouldn't have to deal with Rachelle anymore, and that was a blessing for certain. But if they did make it to the goddess' room perhaps they could convince her to leave with them and then he could lead her right into a trap. After all Rachelle wouldn't know the difference to stop him, she would just think that they were going out with the goddess. Yes that would work perfectly, and then he would lead her straight to Zeus and then get his reward and they would join the empire and everything would be perfect. Stewert started wringing his hands lost in his scheming. "Stewert? Why are you doing that?" The girls question brought him out of his thought and back to the young girl in a wheel chair and the long hall they where going down. "It's nothing lass. Just something I do without realizing it." Stewert explained trying to cover his tracks and the evil grin that had also formed on his face during his time of scheming. "I think I see the goddess' room down there." He pointed part way down the hall. "Yay!" Rachelle raced down the hall towards the room. Bursting in she stared at the goddess. "She's beautiful." Rachelle gawked. It was a few moments until Stewert caught up. "That is very well lass but now that you have seen her it is time to go, perhaps her Majes-" Stewret was cut off when a bunch more people entered the room as well. Great there went his idea. Rachelle looked around at the people as they came in."Are you all knights? Did you come to protect the goddess? Oh this is like a fairy tale!" Rachelle was over the moon until another crack of lighting and the shaking of the castle brought her back to the real danger at hand. "I'm scared." She whimpered now out of her daydream and in reality she didn't know how to handle things any more. Celina was still seated on her bed when she heard her door open. The goddess turned around quickly readying her staff as she did. Though the voice she heard was not a threatening one but one of a young girl. "You shouldn't be here child. It is not safe." The goddess explained as another Irish voice was heard. Charity started to whisper in her ear describing the situation to her of what stood in front of her since Celina now lived in complete and utter darkness. Celina nodded slowly, so a leprechaun and a young girl in a wheel chair where before her and a war was raging on outside the castle which would soon be brought inside by the sounds of it. Celina had to stop and think of her options. As more people filled the room she stood from her bed and faced all of them, one voice coming up among the rest. He talked about finding an escape instead of making a final stand there. Celina simply nodded and did her best o make her way through the group of people towards a tapestry on the wall. She mumbled a few apologies as she blindly bumped into people trying to get to the other side of her room. Once at her location she pulled back the tapestry and started to feel along the wall until she found a brick that felt slightly different. Wrapping her fingers around the edge of it she pulled out a false cover that revealed a strange shaped key hole. She then pulled a necklace out from her top and inserted the small symbol into the key hole turning it until a click was heard and a secret door popped open slightly. She proceeded to open the door for them all. "Follow me. This will lead us out of here. No leaving anyone behind now, no matter their usefulness in this fight we must save everyone we can." She spoke gently as she spoke referring to the young girl who had entered her room first. It was likely everyone else here was part of the guard but there was no chance that she was, she was far too young for it, and without use of her legs no one would allow her in. That brought up the other question of how was she in the castle in the first place, but that could be explored later on. For now her goal was to get everyone out and to safety, and keep herself safe. She knew how important the last one was for the entire world. Travis pulled himself out of the water and lay on the lake shore a he chuckled slightly to himself. That was good fun, but now it was over and he supposed he should get back to watching the town as soon as Calor came down to fetch him. This assuming Calor didn't get too annoyed at him for pulling the stunt that he just pulled. There was probably about a fifty fifty chance of this happening. Either way he could walk back into town if he had to, Calor would forgive him eventually, he had to, they were pact partners. Even more so however Travis thought of them as friends and typically friends forgave each other right? As Travis waited he looked across the lake to see an elf and a Shark? Or was it a horse? It seemed to be both. Travis didn't recognize them, they weren't from his town nor were they anyone of importance. Because of his position he was forced to meet far more important people than he ever cared to. However that was life and the reason Travis enjoyed getting out of the town. "You there." He called out to Jin'rael. "What business do you have here?" He asked. Travis didn't feel threatened or anything, he just wanted to know what everyone was up to, just in case. Even if there was a chance that someone would disturb the peace of his town he would prevent it. Because as soon as it was disturbed it was a lot more work to fix things again, and goodness knows he didn't want that.
Karina was finally ready to leave the damn place. Just get out of the music. Move onto something else. Perhaps she would tell Mickey that she would sit out the next mission. However if she did that she would get stuck with another friendship talk from Mickey so that one probably wouldn't be fun. It was time to weigh the options, which one was more likely to benefit her. Neither really, so which did she prefer? Well in all honesty when Mickey talked to her she felt all sorts of feelings she didn't want to feel and she had closed her heart to, so in the end she probably preferred to go on another mission. However it turned out that they didn't get an option on whether or not they were going to do something else because two demons popped out and came after them, one on each side. Karina rolled her eyes, this was ridiculous. Whatever she would do what she had to or else she would never escape this damn music world and that would be horrible. Karina let out a giant sigh of annoyance before standing to observe the two demons before she ever took her turn attacking. It seemed as though one was immune to magic, while the other to physical attacks. Knowing this Karina knew which one she needed to focus if she wished to get anywhere with her attacks. Karina looked at the one immune to the magic re herself for attacking it. She brought her keyblade up in a offensive manner but didn't attack just yet, she was planning. Karina took her time before stepping forward and starting on a basic combo, before going straight into an areal slam move. She didn't stop there however. She kept going by coming back down on the demon with a barrier surge. Karina landed all of this and did a back hand string away from the monster with only one hand.Coming out of that she brushed the hair from her face behind her back. Damn she needed to braid that one of these days to keep in out of her face. (Magic Immune) Blue Demon: 363/500 (Physical Immune) Black Demon: 377/500
Thomas was stunned, thus can't do anything except simply sit in a tree. Silvia waited for her question to be answered, but the answer never came. Instead some more fairies came and started to pulling them to dance. The fairies where very pretty, Silvia enjoyed looking at them. Silvia didn't care to dance much but if that is what Clara thought they needed to do in order to get out then she would do it. That was fine she guessed. Silvia followed behind Clara and followed her lead for dancing. It was kind of fun to dance but Silvia was also kind of embarrassed about how silly she would look while dancing. "No! You don't understand!" Thea said stomping her foot in an angry manner as she stopped playing in the snow. "I can't! It isn't about believing! I could do it before that scary man attacked me and brought me to the guild. Then I hurt myself trying to prevent myself from hurting others, now I can't! If it was as simple as believing then I could do it!" Thea said seeming to start to throw a temper tantrum. These normally lead to a flare up which Thea half expected to happen so as she got more upset she moved away from the group, away from Sara. She was the dangerous one here not Sara. However instead of her magic going wild Thea felt a sharp pain in her chest. Wincing she grabbed at the spot that was hurt. She looked up with a look of fear in her eyes as they watered from her tantrum she had thrown. "I was born with a great amount of power, but a small fragile body... It can't contain it, usually. Control isn't always in my hands, now when I get upset..." Thea said quietly. She was smaller than most children her age, thin a frail and as she had stated her power was far beyond the level it should have been for her age. Before the incident, if Thea actually tried and wanted to hurt them not just following orders, her power might have matched one of the S-class wizards, but now.... What had happened to it. She still couldn't relax about the idea of flaring up because now instead of hurting others it hurt herself. That could only lead to more trouble. Thea was still trying to get over the pain and the fear when she started getting pulled at by more pretty fairies. They wanted them to dance? Thea loved dancing! She quickly gathered her wits about her and got up in front of everyone and started twirling and jumping and just all together dancing and having fun. Her dance didn't match anyone else's nor did it keep any sort of pace. It was just a fun dance of a little girl. The air filled with giggles as well as she skipped and danced along the snow covered ground. Thoughts of her magic all but gone from her mind now.
This section is dead so it kind of saddens me but I will post anyways. Last book I have read is "Name of the Wind" Patrick Rothfuss. It is pretty interesting, drags on for quite a while though. I still enjoy it. Last book I have read for school is "Who Has the Right to Rule" Jerry Benjamin. You know not nearly as interesting book for bible school, so you know a lot of thinking and stuff like that. All that fun stuff.
As Sara explained how the bow went off without her doing anything and how it had a mind of it's own Thea looked confused. She didn't understand how that would work. She honestly thought that Sara may have had some facts mixed up. That she was blowing things out of proportion, but didn't have any way to know for sure. So instead she offered a solution to the problem. "If the bow isn't safe to use, why don't you keep it as a reminder still but like a decoration in your room where it can't hurt anyone and get a new weapon for use on the field. Then you don't have to worry. You still have your reminder and you don't have to live in fear of what is to come." Sara continued to explain she lost her necklace at the guild hall. "I am sure someone has found it by now! You just have to ask around the next time you are back at the guild hall, maybe they found it and didn't know it was yours. I will look around too. Don't worry, we will find it. I promise." Thea said putting her left hand on her heart and her right arm in the air to signal her promise to Sara. If it helped her then of course she would find it. Thea looked saddened by Sara's next comment. "But aren't I your friend? You were playing with me. We are friends right? I want to be your friend. I am not scared of you." Thea's voice was now sad. She had never had many friends and she hated it, the thought of willingly not having friends was a sad one for her and one that she couldn't understand. The topic quickly changed before Thea could figure her questions out to the mans house burning down and it being blamed on Sara. Sara wanted to know if she believed she had done it. "Well if you say you didn't do it, then I think you didn't do it. I believe you. Maybe the man who tampered with your bow did it. Maybe he was trying to get you in trouble for some reason." Thea suggested. It didn't seem like that far fetched of an idea. Finally the final topic was one of magic. Sara said she wished she had some but Thea wouldn't wish what she had on anyone. Thea looked down at her hands as she lit a small fire in one. "You don't wish this. Trust me. The magic you have can help people. Mine cannot create or help, it only knows how to burn and destroy. If you lose control of it, then there is no knowing what can happen. It won't only hurt others but yourself." Thea said as she thought of her trying to prevent herself from destroying the guild. "When I first got to the guild hall and awoke I was scared and almost lost control. I had to hold it back and by doing so I injured myself. I could do three different colours of flames before with compete control, and they where very strong and now...." Thea watched her flame flicker in the wind and eventually go out. "... I can't seem to do more than a simple red flame. The danger of flames too strong and hurting people are lessened but I don't know what to do without them anymore. It scares me." Thea said almost ready to cry. What would happen if her flames didn't work in a time of need and instead of hurting people she cared about she was in an equally as bad situation and couldn't protect the people she cared about. What if her powers were gone for good and she could not protect this guild if they where attacked again and she lost another home. The fear of not having her flames nearly matched the fear of having them.
Thea was slightly confused when Sara cautioned her because the bow was cursed. "Daddy taught me curses aren't real. A Curse is just an accident or a blessing waiting for the right moment to reveal itself. That is why my powers aren't considered a curse. I'm not an accident I don't think, so it just means that it is still a blessing that I have to wait patiently for it to reveal itself." Thea explained her fathers teaching from many nights of fear and being upset because of her powers. Thea stopped and thought for a moment before speaking once more. "Hmm... I wonder when I will see the blessing of my powers. They have only caused trouble so far." She spoke not seeming too concerned about them. Sara then went on to speak of how she lost the only thing she had to remember the man she had killed. "Well were did you lose it? I can help you find it. It will be like a game of hide and seek. I love hide and seek!" Thea said excited of the idea of having such a game, and she could start helping the people she hurt. Maybe then no one would be mad at her for what she was. Thea rested her hand on her upper shoulder which still held Magus ascensions guild emblem. She needed to get rid of it, but how or when she didn't know. What she did know was that it could act as a reminder to everyone that she was at one point against them. The got up as Sara did ready to play. Sara started her story but soon asked if she wanted to build a snow man. "Yeah! Come on lets go and play!" She cried out as she made a snow ball and started to work on making it bigger and bigger. She listened to the story as she worked. By the end there was a few things Thea could think to say. "Wow you are so lucky! He must have been your guardian angel! Most kids would't survive on the streets at age 5 much less make it that long. If he had your picture from age ten he must have been looking out for you! Yes he is definitely your guardian angel." Thea said excited before going off on a tangent. "I wish I had one of those. A pretty one who would protect me and be like a mom to me. I miss my mommy." Thea said before her mind shot back to what they were talking about before. "If he was your guardian angel he must have known that was going to happen and that is why he gave you the locket. Perhaps his death was the blessing." Thea thought for a moment before asking Sarah another question. "If that hadn't have happened would you have ever come to this guild? If not perhaps that is the blessing disguised as a curse. Because now you have a home, and friends, and money and food. Isn't that what you need?" Thea asked as she finished off the snow man. She may have acted and looked like a child but she always had a love for reading and learning so she could think far beyond her age when she wanted it, she just rarely wanted to.
Favourite books of last year. Hm. My top ones have to be: 1. Throne of Glass. (and series) by Sarah J. Maas I enjoy the idea with magic but it wasn't like completely reliant on it. The magic was kept to a minimum and it had lots of action being about an assassin and all. It was really interesting but too much love story for my taste. 2. Hacker by Ted Dekker. Hacker is the last in a trilogy and I read all three books but this one was the most interesting for me or one reason, technology. It took a whole different twist to the idea of hacking, and these two genius teenagers are trying to hack a brain in order to cure a sickness. It had a lot of twist and turns I didn't expect and it was definitely one of my favourite books by Ted Dekkerr.
Thea waited for Sara's answer which was not what she expected to hear. Sara simply Asked Thea if it bothered her that Sara had killed someone. Thea sat for a moment looking like she was seriously thinking. This was not exactly a topic she like being on. She didn't want to think of those she killed, her parents, and whoever else Ezekiel ordered. But she did want to make Sara feel better so she answered earnestly. "Hmmm nope. Not at all." Thea said as she stood up from her seat, she was getting cold sitting in the snow now. Sara seemed to be in a panic all of the sudden searching for something, most likely the weapon Thea noticed her carrying around. Thea started to help her search as Sara continued to talk to her about not wanting to hurt her. "You won't hurt me. You will be fine. Trust me. Oh and Ezekiel showed me this really cool thing once that is like a shield of flames that I can make so if you try I will just use that and be fine. Trust me!" Thea said with a smile on her face as her hand touched wood. Dusting the snow off she found the bow and handed it to Sara. "You know I have killed people too. I didn't do it on purpose the first time. I was scared and lost control of my magic. Ezekiel found me shortly after that. Took me away so I could become stronger and not lose control any more. But by doing that we lead the world to believe I was dead. My name is Thea Strive. I am the last living member of the Noble Strive family. My family died when my entire house caught on fire with blue uncontrolled flames. Flames started by me. No one knows what I have done and assume I died with the rest of my family. I have been working on finding a way to prevent that from ever happening again with anyone. Ezekiel told me that once he got the ultimate power he could make sure no one would lose control of their magic ever again, everyone would be safe, so I helped him... But he made me kill more people too. I didn't want to, I was just doing what I was told." Thea sighed thinking to what Mizuki said before they went through the mouse hole. "I am not afraid of you or what you have done because I have done the same. However I don't dwell on the memories of the past, but rather am looking to make new better ones. So stop it and come play with me!" Thea said as she hugged Sara then proceeded to try to get her up.
As Xera's sword hit Precious it seemed just bounce off. What the hell was this? Before Xera could do anything Precious grabbed her by the neck forcing Xera to drop her sword. She clawed and grasped at Precious' hand as she tried to catch her breath to no avail as he was stronger than he seemed, his hand crushing her wind pipe. As Precious' whip connected with her leg she wanted to let out a scream but a mere grunt was all she could manage. Damn it hurt a lot more than any whip should. She had been whipped before, this was no normal whip. Her teeth grit as she just focused on getting Precious to let her go. It was around then when another man walked into the room. As he did Xera could feel a shift in the room, she herself didn't have magic but she was used to being around people who did and something changed with them, it just stopped. Precious' grip loosened allowing Xera to take a deep breath, it wasn't long after when Precious released her. Xera fell to the floor in a crumpled mess, coughing and gasping for air, trying to gain all the air lost from Precious choking her. Her leg was in a good amount of pain but she tried not to focus on it. As she forced herself to her feet blood began to drip down her leg. "That's new." Xera said with a faint chuckle. "Never seen you get paid for a bar fight." Xeras voice sounded a little raspy as she was still recovering from her experience with the creeper known as Precious She bent down and picked up her sword, wiping the blood off on her shirt she proceeded to put it back in her sheath. She then turned to Vex. "So what now?" She asked seeming like nothing had happened, she wasn't hurt and she could move on. If she acted any different Vex wouldn't be happy and he would see her as weak. She wouldn't want that. Samuel reached the edge of the roof and fell back as his brother jumped off rolling to break his all as they hit the ground. Samuel looked on ahead instead of jumping off. Before he could do anything to help his brother against the guards Samuel was stopped by a vision. The man who rented them the hotel room being interrogated brutally for any information about where they might go. Then someone receiving a call saying something about the gate. The guards left. "Oscar!" Samuel called out as he took a few steps back to give him distance to sprint and jump off the roof. As Samuel hit the ground in a roll he heard a pop, that wouldn't be good. He knew exactly what he did but luckily he also knew exactly how to fix it once they had a moment rest. Samuel stood holding his shoulder as his brother knocked out the last of the guards and returned to him telling him to lead the way. "We need to move and quick." Samuel told his brother as he started heading towards the gate. Trying to keep quieter instead of opening the rusty and squeaky gate Samuel started to climb it with one arm. It wasn't a far climb so it wasn't too bad, but his other arm was in a fair amount of pain. Samuel jumped off the other side landing light on his feet, barely a sound made and continued to sprint down the path a little before taking a sharp turn into a wooded area where he found a spot to hide for a moment. He turned to Oscar who had followed close behind. "We are in trouble." He whispered as he stopped for a moment to pop his dislocated shoulder back into place. It hurt a lot, Samuel bit down on his lower lip to keep himself from screaming or making any noise really from the pain. As he loosened his jaw some blood dripped down his lip, but Samuel shook it off. "Oscar they are stepping up their game. No more silly local guards. I saw them interogating the man at the hotel. It didn't look plesant. Whoever these men are, they are more highly trained, they are smarter, and stronger, and from what I could tell the guards that where at the gate contacted them with were to go before we got there. They won't be far behind us now. Now that my shoulder is back in place we have to move and can't stop for a while." Samuel explained, voice was calm but the fear seen behind his eyes was all that anyone needed to know. Samuel was struggling with always being on the run but now it was more dangerous. He would have wanted a little more rest than this but didn't get that choice. Samuel wiped the blood from his lip before starting to stand back up.
Thea was enjoying the snow immensely, she was now laying down in the snow making a snow angel. The twelve year old girl forgot ab out being small, the problems with her magic, or the fact that anyone here might not like her because of her affiliation with Ezekiel. All she could think about was the sun and the snow and how pretty it was. Thea rarely saw snow anymore and she loved it. She enjoyed the snow even though she was a fire mage. Thea picked up a handful of it and slowly started a small fire causing it to melt in her hand. Thea then raised the heat in her feet and made a small patch of ice under her. She started to skate around on the patch of ice she had created. Thea couldn't stop giggling as she played. She then looked over at Sara. "Why do you look so sad?" Thea asked as she walked over to Sara. Thea sat down cross legged beside Sara. Thea began to make a snowball similar to Sara's. "Come play with me! The snow is great! Why won't you play?" She asked tossing a handful of snow in the air so it drifted down and fell on them. Thea began to giggle once again as she looked over at Sara for some sort of response. She wondered what Ezekiel would have thought about the snow. With what he was, would he like it or would it not be okay. As Thea sat waiting for Sara to do something she thought back to the last winter she spent with her parents. She was seven and a half at the time. They had snowball fights and built a snowman. When the night was over they would sit next to a warm fire as they sipped hot chocolate with marshmallows and read a story. Thea always felt like a normal child in those times, not someone with frightening power that had to be hidden from the world. She wished for those days again but knew they wouldn't come, so instead looked forward to the fun she would have with her ew friends. She would make new memories with them. Evanora said that she was fine to be with them, she hadn't been punished for being on the wrong side. She was given a second chance and she was going to make the best of it. She would not let her past stop her. Instead she seemed to be stuck in a permanent child like state to cope with the past, and frankly Thea was okay with that, not that she realized it however. But she was enjoying everything around her, why would she want that to ever change?
As Xander let go of Crybex he faded into nothing. What was going on here? The man continued to show them a projection of the people. This was all good and dandy but in reality it wasn't. Xander was scanning the streets for any sign of the man. Nothing was to be seen until the weirdest thing happened. A bunch of people and a court room appeared as they decided if Crybex was guilty it ended with lasering all the people and signs coming down saying that Crybex made him do it. Well this entire things was messed. What the hell were they supposed to do now? In an instant the mysterious antisocial young man seemed to be onto something attacking someone on a roof top. Xander followed the boy's lead, heading towards the man who Zavion had revealed the position of with his attack. With ease Xander caught up to the boys second attack, the flaming dragon thing matching it's speed as to strike Crybex at the same time as Zavions attack. Xander had his sword in hand and one thought in his mind. If he didn't kill this man now many more will be hurt and that could include Alisia. Gwen stepped aside allowing for Hunter to take the first attack. At least he was helping this time. Gwen set her eyes on a rather hansom young gentleman. He had obviously passed before his time and it seemed as though decay had not gotten to him. Oh the joys of the underworld. "Well aren't you something to look at." Gwen said with admiration. She looked him up and down before pulling out her cannon. "Too bad I have to kill you now." "Haha okay you think that but a Hero never loses!" "Well I highly doubt you are any hero just a hot head jock. So lets put this to the test shall we. Too bad you are dead or perhaps I would have bet a date on this match." "I knew it all the girls want me. Perhaps I can convince Lord Hades to release me for a while." "No." Gwen said simply as she fired off her cannon at Snow Viller. Damn that guy was getting annoying. He was hot yes, a lot better looking than her traveling companions but too full of himself, almost like another Hunter. The thought of that made her shiver. Who would want another one. Reading the last few posts there was already enough as it was. Gwen continue to shoot Snow down with her cannon, no need for the guns here, this was far more fun. "A hero will never lose! Steel guard!" Snow yelled out covering his face with his hands. "You really want to try that with me?" Gwen raised her eyebrows and prepared for another shot. A sharp pain was followed by darkness, once again someone had countered her doom and she couldn't escape. In the darkness a light flickered, laughter was heard, her mothers voice. Alisia started to walk towards the light to find it was coming from a window of her childhood house. Peering inside she saw her and her parents sitting around the dinner table, talking laughing. When was the last time she had laughed? Her mothers voice was as soft and sweet as ever, and the way she looked at her father, those loving eyes. Tears filled Alisia's both in the dream and in reality. However the dream quickly changed scenes. The house was empty The streets filled with screaming. A young girl ran down the streets looking for her mom and dad. Not far ahead was her parents, laying on the ground covered in bits of burning building. The was falling apart and the girl looked on in horror as her mothers beautiful brown curls lay bloodied on the ground, her face covered. "Mom!" The girl cried out trying to run to her. A part of a roof fell in front of her blocking her path. The girl screamed and jumped back. "Someone help me." She shouted into the wind with no response, only death around her. "Help!" The scream was the last thing that left the girls mouth before a piece of debris hit her head knocking her out almost instantly. A scream left Alisia's mouth before she jerked awake in Samsara's arm, a sweat dripped down her face. This was followed up by a groan, her stomach hurt a lot. She knew what it was from too. She was back at his mercy, there was no escaping it. Alisia wiped the tears that had formed in her eyes before starting to pound on Samsara's back. "Put me down!" She shouted at her. Alisia tried to just focus on getting away and leaving her dream behind. She didn't want to relive that again. And the worst part was the man who had done this to her was standing next to her, she was in his complete submission. There was no way out.
