Mikeru nodded, "The government is starting to realize how dangerous digimon can be if they have a 'corrupt' human partner. That's kind of why might be late." Guilmon snorted, "The reason why Dorumon's such a catch is partly because it's so rare, and that's a natural carrier of the X-antibody."
Mikeru sighed, and uncrossed his arms, "Look, I'll try to come, but I can't make any promises. The job I've got...it's to find a Dorumon. It's supposedly being held for sale on the black market...with a digivice attached to it. This bid for it is going on tonight. I've got a lead, so we're going to see what happens." Guilmon nodded, "If all goes well, we might have an ace for whatever comes next."
Guilmon came out of the digivice iC. He shook himself, like he was covered with water, then sat down, next to Betamon and Terriermon. Mikeru raised an eyebrow and crossed his arms, "Okay, I understand that, but why are you looking for a digital gate? To bring the fight to them?"

Mikeru sighed, "Sorry, but I'm afraid my coming is out of the question as well. I've got a job that's going to take up a lot more time than I'd like, now...especially with my new assigned 'partner'." Mikeru shook his head. How on earth did this happen? "There is something I'd like to know, though: This 'jewel'. I've lived around digimon for over ten years, and this is the first I've heard of it."
"I think I'll go with you," said Mikeru, "I'd like to talk to your granddaughter some more about what's going on here..." Mikeru and Guilmon followed Miyuki's grandpa and Terriermon.

This was in the last series, DATA squad: Towards the end of the series, in order to get to the final boss, the digidestined had to fight a series...
Any kind of knight-looking digimon is my fav/dragon or mythical beast...so a lot, especially the 'Royal Knights'.
Oh gosh...I've got it tied between Omnimon X, Gallantmon X, and Zhuqiuamon (think that's how his name's spelled; the phoenix digimon sovereign?)
Well, yeah, the stories have gone downhill a bit since then, but still, it's good to watch some of the old school stuff.

Clean ones, mainly; Rockman, digimon, pokemon, yugioh...just a bunch of stuff with monsters; gives me inspiration for stuff. :3

Mikeru just stared, ".....uh-huh, and what, pray tell, do you intend to do if you face a digimon of that same level, where you can't simply 'light a match'?" Mikeru shook his head, "Look, I don't like this anymore than you do, but I know telling the higher ups 'no' will not just result in you losing your camera, Clancy." Mikeru stared at the grandpa, "Wait, you've had dealings with digimon?"
"Yeah, that's kind of what I thought," Mikeru said, in response to Clancy and Guilmon, "He said that the experience I have raising Guilmon, as well as other digimon, can help you raise your Commandramon," Mikeru shook his head, "And that your ability to track these the digimon down should prove 'invaluable', he says..." Guilmon looked at Clancy, "How do you find the digimon? More importantly, how are you able to fight them? Raremon's a decent Ultimate level. A boxing match shouldn't leave a dent in him, at all?" Mikeru sat at the base of a tree, face palming himself.
