I'm aware of that detail, and I personally like to imagine that the cop is related to Souza in some way. While it's true that she was confirmed for just a minor role, due to its importance, I wouldn't say that it's very minor.
I read that, and frankly, not enough to convince me that it isn't possible her 'Civil War' character and her 'Luke Cage' character are one and the same (assuming the grieving mother character remains unnamed in the film). 'Civil War' finished filming before she was announced as part of the cast of 'Luke Cage', it's not like they didn't know she was in the film.

I have to agree with @Sebax . Typically, when I think of using spoilers on the site, I generally use them for, well... actual spoilers (though I also personally use them to post vids in my RP posts), which I don't think are an issue with privacy.

So this is an interesting development: Two names were added to the cast of 'Civil War'. One of those names is Alfre Woodard, who is set to play the role of Mariah Dillard in 'Luke Cage'. Now I'm taking this with a grain of salt, but if it is indeed true, this will end up being the first true crossover between the films and the Netflix shows. Source

Star was soon interrupted by Moody, who placed her graded Algebra test on her desk. Star happily said as she looked at her test (which she got an F- on, since all she did was draw stuff instead of actually answering the questions), and showed it to Marco, "I got an 'F' for 'fantastic'!" Finn and Kanan, however, weren't particularly impressed with the ship, with Kanan questioning, "Seriously, Cid?" "It's a piece of crap," Finn added. "Hey, now don't y'all diss the Falcon!" Cid retorted, "Why, this baby made the Kessel Run in less than twelve parsecs. How do ya like them apples?" "And you're showing it to us... why?" Kanan asked. "Well, I got a little problem," Cid replied, "And that problem is that I can't seem to open the ramp to get inside." Rolling towards the part of the ship where the ramp would lower down, BB-8 beeped to indicate to Finn and Kanan which part of the ship Cid was talking about. "But we're not mechanics, Cid," Finn told Cid, "How can we even help?" "Oh, I know," Cid replied, "But I was hopin' you two could use your oversized keys to open it. I mean, they do open any lock, ain't that right?" Looking at each other Finn and Kanan shrugged as they walked towards the part of the ship where the ramp is. Raising his arm, a Keyblade appeared in Kanan's hand. Doing the same thing as Kanan, another Keyblade appeared in Finn's hand. The two then pointed their Keyblades towards the Millennium Falcon, with both Keyblades sending a ray of light towards the ship. Hearing what sounded like a lock unlocking, the group watched as the Millennium Falcon's ramp lowered, allowing them to enter the ship. "Nice work, boys!" Cid thanked Finn and Kanan, "Let's go in and see what's inside." Nodding, Finn and Kanan joined BB-8 as they followed Cid inside the Millennium Falcon.
