Runa was left in shock and awe as Kara darted into action, however she couldn't manage to get herself moving. She watched the first body drop to the ground and nearly threw up because of it. Runa was skilled with magic, but in general she was pretty gentle, she couldn't imagine killing people. However she was forced out of this state of shock as a man came towards her, attacking her. Runa tried to jump out of the way and stumble back. As she landed on her butt she panicked, the man getting closer to her once again. Runa pulled down another bolt of lightning between the two of them, sending the man stumbling back. She picked herself up and glanced towards Kara. She wished she could be of more help but she couldn't bring herself to kill anyone. However one thing Runa could do was provide distraction and interference. As a man tried to attack Kara from behind, Runa shocked the ground in front of him causing him to move back and away, also warning Kara of someone there. As she did this repeatedly she began to mumble a little song to herself. "Dance fuckers dance, man he never had a chance...."
Roxanne didn't pay much mind to Brianne as she ran off, instead focusing on her target. She allowed him to attack her as she dodged each attack, countering a few of them getting a few small slashes in on the warlock. It was all a game to her, as the warlock got more and more pissed, Roxanne had more and more fun. Well that was until the voice boomed in the sky. "Aww looks like play time is over, I really was having fun you know." Roxanne giggled slightly but she knew what she heard was bad, very bad, she had to get back to Brianne. She wanted to pay with her prey more, but she supposed it was time to kill him. Roxanne did one last flip this time towards the warlock. As she came down she slashed right at it's gut and then continued to carve out his heart once he fell back. She got a little blood splattered on her, but that was okay. However standing over the warlock's dead body, Roxanne was frowning. "That was too easy." She pouted before running after Brianne. She was not that far behind the woman when she finally reached the room. Seeing the situation inside she burst out into laughter. Brianne stood there looking shocked, then there was a police woman standing over a handcuffed Nicholas. "So you will play with her and not with me?" Roxanne complained. "Reinforcements huh? Just who do you think you are? I am certainly going to have to take you in now. You are simply starting to sound more and more suspicious." Slavko said as he took the man's weapons. "As for these... replica's as you call them. I am going to keep them, send them to the lab for tests, you know the drill. But perhaps you can convince me to, I don't know rig the evidence in your favour." Slavko said as he ran the tall blondes finger down Nick's cheek and then lifted his chin up. Slowly be went in for the kiss, that ought to really fluster the boy. However before their lips connected the door flew open as he was so rudely interrupted. "Oh I am sorry you must have got the wrong room... unless you are my next appointment, then you are early. I am still with a customer and I would hate to be interrupted. After all we were just about to get to the good stuff if you know what I mean. Please return in an hour or so." He said giving Brianne a wink as he went back to kiss Nick once more only to be interrupted again by the sound of laughter. Damn it what was with people and ruining his fun? "Oh that is how it is. I think the next room over is free for you two. Now if you excuse me." Slavko said once again eyeing Roxanne. Just by the tone in the voice he could tell the girl was broken and he took great pride in knowing that he was the cause of it.
This guy was a bloody idiot. He acted like he wouldn't know anything about the guard, how it worked, did he see the symbol on his armour? He was part of the city guard just in a different area. This guy was acting so fricken high and mighty when he really wasn't that great. If he was all that then he wouldn't be in the damn city guard. It was a starting point for Ren, he wasn't even planning to stick in it for long. Laurentinus was shocked when Kara started speaking, however there wasn't much he could do about it without getting them into trouble. He guessed he would have to learn to play along. Originally Laurentinus was going to stand at attention, but now he was standing tall and proud. "It is a pleasure to Lord Arval however I have not time to chat about these matters in which you speak. I have more pressing matter that I must take care of. My secretary and I must be off. I have a rather important meeting to attend to soon and I must not be late for it." Laurentinus explain in his most stuck up voice. "I will trust you and your men are well equipped to take care of this assassin, or else perhaps I need to send some of my own men to patrol this town while I am in my meeting. Either way I am sure I will see you around. Good day gentlemen." With that Laurentinus turned on his heals and began to walk away.
Laurentinus listened to the girl somewhat curious of what her story was. He didn't even really question where the money came from when Shyra gave it to him, he was just grateful to have it. He looked down at the small sack in his hand as he slipped it into his pocket, giving it back would be counterproductive on all their parts given Shyra might not like that and it left him pretty low on money. "I will tell you back, when this is all over and I have enough money to do so, I will pay you back for everything she took." He offered her. "It wasn't fair for her to do that, but a lot of us came here with next to nothing so the money to start was helpful. Thank you for finding that." He told her. However things seemed to go sour when it came to everything. Kara seemed to be getting really annoyed and went to leave, claiming to be finding something useful to do. Laurentinus was not willing to let things end on that note. "Wait!" He called out after her, running the best he could in his armour in order to catch up. "What makes you think you haven't already done something useful. You helped give us all the start we needed for this new adventure by obtaining that money, however you did it. I am very grateful for that, and I will pay you back. You don't have to go off on your own. Besides it isn't like I am doing something useful, at least let me join you. Though if you don't want me around, I understand that too." It isn't like anyone else ever wants me around. Laurentinus finished his sentence with a rather depressing thought. He just hopped the girl wouldn't run away again.
Anthea was not sure if she wanted Baldomar to teach her anything. She wasn't sure if she should trust him, he gave her mix signals. In some ways he was seeming he was being nice, but from seeing him earlier he just seemed like he liked to step on peoples toes. That being said was anything he said something he should take into consideration. He advised her to be prepared it, it sounded like a good idea in general, she just didn't know how. Perhaps in this adventure she would learn how to deal with everything. Anthea retreated to her quiet corner for the carriage ride, keeping out of the way. There seemed to be little conversation to be had until they got to the location and started heading down the road. For some reason they were in a rush to get to this place, but the man did not know how to get there. Well that was stupid. Anthea paced around, looking at everything around the area but not for any particular reason. She didn't feel educated enough to bother putting her input into which way they went, so instead she walked to the rubble on the one road and pick up a rock. She flipped the stone around in her hand, examining it, fidgeting with it, just keeping herself busy while others talked about which direction they should go. Laurentinus rolled his eyes as Kara approached and spoke at first. In the end she pretty much told him to buy her breakfast. As much as he wished to refuse, he was still somewhat of a gentleman. "Fine, order what you want, but not too expensive because I have things I need the money for too thank you very much." Ren's tone was slightly irritated but what else could you expect from him. He then turned to the baker. "Can I have a warm roll, and whatever the lady wants." He said giving Kara a slight nod telling her to go ahead and order. As they waited for the food he turned to Kara in awkward conversation. "So... are you looking forward to going to the caves in a bit?" He asked out of attempt for conversation.
Aaron had not had a chance to strike as a knife came flying his way. He was able deflect it easily enough, but that gave time for Veceslav to move himself between him and his target. Well this was an issue. "Veceslav. I respect you but did you see what he did to Tatiana. How could you defend him?" Aaron was equally as angry with Veceslav as Veceslav was with him. Aaron tried to take a step forward but Veceslav blasted him back with Aard. He hit the wall opposite but tried to get up anyways. Seth took the opportunity to get out. The witcher was going to kill them both if they stayed around any longer. After Tessa just threw a knife at him, they were both in danger. "I will run but I won't leave you here." He said as he helped Tessa back up. He glanced over at Veceslav to make sure that he was still covering their retreat. "We should be safe for now. Lets go." He said as he helped Tessa away as fast as he could manage to get them. He had to admit he was impressed with the trick with the knife, however that just got them both in more trouble. Seth's hand ached reminding him of the mark that would forever be with him to remind him of how careful he would have to be from now on, though now he had someone to take care of so regardless he would be careful. Aaron couldn't do anything but watch as Seth and the girl left. He stared at Veceslav with anger in his eyes as he picked himself up off the ground. "How do you know he won't just rape and kill her like he tried my sister? Why are you letting him get away with her? Have you lost it old man?!" Aaron yelled at Veceslav, but he made no move towards Seth, he wasn't that stupid. With Veceslav protecting them, he couldn't do much about it. Vec was old and experienced, Aaron was young and still fresh out of the academy. "You don't even care about what happened to her do you? She is just a simple human so what does it matter right? She gave everything so I could train to be a witcher, she gave everything just to keep us alive! She isn't just some random insignificant human okay! So why let him get away with what he did to her?! She will never live a normal life again, just look at her and you could see that, yet he can walk without paying a price?!" Aaron continued to yell getting more and more frustrated as he spoke to Veceslav. The boy couldn't even think about the battle ahead at that time anymore, he wanted to rip Veceslav's throat out, but instead sheathed his sword waiting for whatever stupid defense the old witcher had, then he was leaving.
"What do you mean that I am not a policewoman? Would you like to see my badge. Anyways hush now I have to do my work now and then when it is all over and if I clear your name, then we can talk about how things could go." Slavko said as he turned to the bodies. He didn't entirely know what he was looking for but he had to at least pretend to investigate as he walked around the bodies, checking out whatever random things he could, and looking around the room for some evidence of what could have caused it. "There is little evidence that someone else was in this room, that is curious, however he doesn't show signs of suicide or being murdered. Perhaps an overdose? We will have to take him back to the morgue and see, as for the girl the cause of death is quite obvious." As he walked around pretending to be investigating a couple more cops showed up. "At last you have arrived. I have taken the liberty of examining the crime scene as well as taking this man into custody as he was poking around the crime scene, disturbing the evidence." Slavko said as she paced over to the cops. "Would you be a dear and question the poor girl at the desk, I haven't had time for that yet. And once the bodies are removed I will do one last sweep of the room for any evidence then I will take the boy in for questioning." He told the cops. They looked a little confused at first with the way he was asking, but in the end did as they were told. While the chaos of the room being cleaned up slightly happened Slavko took a second glance at his badge. He wasn't just a cop, he was a cop with some rank. That would come in handy. With everyone gone Slavko walked over and shut the door. Pacing back to where he had left Nicholas, he moved in close to the boy, too close perhaps. "So do you mind telling me what you where doing here boy? Or perhaps I should start with a pat down to see if you have any weapons. That is not allowed if I have anything to do with it." He said as he began to pat down Nick letting his hands linger in some places to to see how uncomfortable he could make Nick, or how aroused. Either way in the end he would kill they boy, or break it, whichever came first. Roxanne halted when Brianne put her hand out in front of her. She listened to what the men had to say and quickly got annoyed by them. "Weellllll Sorry to burst your bubble but there is no cup here! Now then we have a demon to hunt, so if you don't mind moving." Roxanne spoke to them as she got ready to fight alongside Brianne. Roxanne quickly gave herself a rune of speed and one of strength before entering combat. Grabbing her knife Roxanne decided to take on the Warlock while Brianne had the vampire. The girls eyes danced with delight as she got the chance to fight. "Are you ready to play a game?" She asked it as she ran forward. Roxanne didn't attack right away however that would be too easy. Instead she thought she would have some fun dancing, skipping, jumping, and flipping over and around the warlocks tail, occasionally stabbing down at it. Little bits of pain to start. She was quick naturally, the rune was just an added bonus. "I wasn't put through the torment of eight years of gymnastics for nothing you know." She said giggling as she landed a flip and looked at it's now bloodied tail. Sure she had pissed him off but an angry wounded warlock was fun to play with. "Your turn." She told him while waiting for his attacks so she could show him just how good she was, dodging and countering all his attacks like she knew she would.
"Alright I can see what I can do to get us out." Seth said as he helped Tessa up. He had a few questions about what was going on, he had an idea based on what Zack said, but he wanted to hear it from her. But for now it wasn't the time. He allowed Tessa to put as much weight on him as she needed to keep herself stable. "I promise I will get you out of here, just let me deal with this first." He told her as he turned to Veceslav. Seth didn't like the openness Veceslav was talking about what he had done in front of so many people and other witchers, but he supposed it was deserved. He took the money and listened to the advice given by Veceslav. A mark by a silver sword, it would be painful, however it was nothing compared to the pain that Tessa was going through and it seemed to be his only way out of this mess. Seth took a deep breath trying to prepare himself for the pain as he reached out and wrapped his hand around the sword. As the sharp silver pierced his skin he winced and soon enough pulled away. He watched the blood drip down his hand as the extra pain from the silver entering his blood rattled him. "Alright, lets get going." He said to Tessa, letting his bleeding hand drop to his side. "Hopefully this place spoken of isn't too far, from there we can find a better way to get you to safety." He told Tessa as they began to walk away, Seth keeping his steps small and pace slow in order to make sure Tessa was alright. He wouldn't push her too hard and risk ripping the stitches. Aaron didn't hear the words being said to him by Veceslav as his mind was too busy thinking of the words he said to Seth. Given the words he said Aaron could only assume that he was the one to hurt Tatiana. Aaron's nails dug into his palm as he reached for his silver sword with the other hand. "You are not going anywhere. I don't care what Veceslav said, you will not leave because you do not deserve your life. You destroyed my sisters life, now I will destroy yours." Aaron threatened as he took a step towards Seth, ignoring Veceslav. Seth looked to Tessa and then to Aaron. He didn't know if anyone would step in and stop this young man, so it was better that he was safe. Seth took a step closer to the wall, letting go of Tessa so she could use it for support. He put the pouch of money in her hand. "Go as far as you can. I will try to catch up if I am able, but get out if you can. Do whatever it takes and stay safe. I will meet you at the place the master witcher spoke about. Now go!" He ordered Tessa before turning to face Aaron. Aaron glanced at the girl Seth was with, but he was only here to destroy the monster that hurt his sister. That is what this was all about. With this man dead then he could drop everything. Though when he thought about it, he couldn't because he promised to watch Veera's back and he had to go through with it. Veera was in a mess he helped her get in, there was no ditching her now. But first it was time to attack. Aaron moved towards Seth with intent to kill.
"She's watching the carriage driver, he pulls away. She's been locked in her bedroom a hundred days. She said, yeah he's still coming, just a little bit late. He got stuck at the graveyard saving the day...." Destiny trailed off singing a song she had heard played once. She took the song and made it her own. She stared out at the clouds, watching them roll by. She only wished that someone would save her. Despite this secret wish, she would be pleased with her life, because at the very least she had a roof over her head and food. The young girl slipped the letter back under her mattress before pulling out the glowing stone from the same place as the letter. She sat once again at the window, staring at the mysterious yet pretty object in her hand. She kept singing her song as her fingertips danced over the surface, taking in all the details of it. She wondered what this was supposed to be, what kind of rock it was, how it worked if it did anything. She didn't know but she wanted to find out, perhaps one day. But for now she knew that she should hide it, before Derick saw it. Carson remained calm as the girl tensed. He would let her figure out on her own that he was not dangerous. He didn't bother summoning his keyblade for protection, he could do that quick enough if he had to, but he didn't feel threatened. Instead he simply answered her questions. "I am here looking for the creatures of darkness. I am trying to rid this world of them, as well figure out what is going on with a curse type thing if there is any information to be had." Carson explain in a calm voice. If the last part scared off the girl, well he hoped it wouldn't, but it would be understandable. Most people didn't know much of curses and thus took it as the worst and would avoid them. Perhaps this person was different, perhaps she wasn't. There was no telling. "And just why are you searching for these creatures, if I may ask." He looked at the girl curiously. There was few he knew that would fight these creatures, even less that knew what was going on with them. That being said he wondered who this girl was and what her story was. "Name is Carson, how about yours?" He asked the girl politely.
After being so rudely awakened by Shyra, Laurentinus mumbled his thanks to Shyra before shutting the door behind her. "Well kid looks like it is time to get moving." Laurentinus said to Lumen before getting changed into fresh clothing. "I am heading into town then. Will meet up with you guys later." He stated simply before leaving the room. Leaving the inn he spotted Conrad and Tessa rather close once more and outside. He wondered how long they had been out there but then decided he didn't care. He had enough discussion about that the day before, he didn't want to deal with it first thing in the morning. Instead he made his way into the town. Walking down the streets he smelt the wonderful smell of fresh bread. At that moment Ren realized just how hungry he was. He glanced down at the small sack of coin given to him before walking into the bakery. "What is fresh, warm and good to start your day?" He asked the baker inside. Nothing else might have been good about that day, but the food certainly would be if he had any say in it.
Runa walked behind Kara carefully, watching where they were going the best she could, though the caves were dark making it hard to keep track of where they were. It seemed that they were walking forever and it felt like they were going to get caught at any time when she caught the sight of light. At last a shred of hope. The hope was somewhat torn away when she heard a voice followed by five bodies. However Kara didn't seem to fear, so neither did Runa. Instead a smirk crossed her face. "You may have caught me by surprise last time, but this time not so much." Runa said as her fingers crackled and sparked. Suddenly a bolt of thunder came down in the middle of the give men. "That's right scatter and run." She said as she pulled down another bolt of lightning. She couldn't bring herself to kill anyone but she could scatter them a bit and see what Kara did.
"Don't worry Bri. It will be fine! I don't hurt my own team. I will just slice and dice those demons and everything will be fine!" Roxanne replied in a high pitch voice. She did understand the severity of the situation but she honestly didn't know how to show it anymore. It seemed even when she tried to sound serious she still sounded insane, so why try for anything else? She may as well embrace what she was. Roxanne's fingers slipped down over the handle of her knife as she imagined how she planned to carve up the demon. Her imagination put in the image of the demon who possessed her beloved, the one who made her kill him in order to rid the world of the demon. Demon hunts were always her favourite, so of course she would behave the best she could. "I am always ready. Don't worry! You are too serious all the time." Roxanne commented. She wasn't going to let a fellow shadow hunter die, however she found it difficult to actually tell anyone that. She wondered if anyone understood that. Slavko turned around to see a young man enter the room. "What are you doing in a crime scene? Why would anyone even want to look at this carnage. Unless you caused it, but then that begs the question, why return when the police are here. That is just asking to get caught. Then again it would be too obvious to be true wouldn't it. It is almost less risky to return because no one would think anyone that stupid. So that is what you would want you to think. Huh. This is interesting. Anyways I suppose that I should keep you for question. Come on." Slavko said as he talked through the police woman's voice. Drawing a set of handcuffs, Slavko continued to handcuff Nickolas to the bed. "Can't have you running away on me while I investigate can I? I really hope it isn't you though, that would be a shame. You are so cute after all." As he/she said the last part she nearly whispered it as he brushed the female policeman's lips against Nickolas', teasing him. "Well time to get to work."
Seth lifted a hand and gently stroked Tessa's hair as she whimpered. If there was a way for him to take the pain instead of her, he would do it in a heartbeat. However there was very little he could do for her at the moment. As the healer stepped away, Tessa suggested they just leave. Seth hesitated, as much as he would love to, he couldn't not after Vec found out, he would never be allowed. Well that was what he thought at least, however Veceslav said different. "I planned to leave anyways, though I don't know how far we can make it with her injuries." Seth commented looking over at Tessa. "I will help you out of here the best I can, but don't push yourself too hard, okay? You need to heal more than we need to leave. Just tell me when you think you are okay to walk. I can try to get us some horses, but no promises, I am dead broke." Seth commented to her. He looked back at Veceslav once more, "thanks." He said before getting ready to go, ignore the other man that was there. Aaron was surprised by the lack of lecture he received from Vecelsav, the look he gave him said enough though. However what was more surprising was the hug that came after. It was a fatherly hug, one of someone who seemed concerned, a hug he had never gotten from his own father. The subject quickly changed though to that of Veera, perhaps she was going to be in far greater trouble than himself. "Veera is off talking to a mage trying to get help for the battle ahead. I was to meet back with her later." Aaron admitted, not wishing to lie to Veceslav any more. He would rather not get himself into more trouble by deceiving the man. "Speaking of where people are, do you know where Tatiana is? Derrick said she was waiting outside but I circled the building until I found you, no sign of her." Aaron explained hoping that there would be some positive news on that. "What do ya want? Leave us alone. Can't you see we are doin something?" The man holding Tatiana said before the other one started to approach Kruez. "Are ya looking to get her so you get the bounty? She is worth a fair amount of money after all. We aren't willin to share the money with ya, but per'aps you could have a go if ya like. After that yer gonna have ta leave." The second man offered inspecting Kruez closely trying to tell if he would go for it. He then turned around and walked back to Tatiana taking his sword and slashing straight down her dress so it fell off her. Tatiana let out a muffled yell as the sword also caressed her skin, tearing it slightly. "There ya go. 'Ave at 'er. Just don't damage 'er too much. This pretty little thing is going to make us quite some money." "Terra Ma- Kozlov." Terra responded with her name. She was going to give her married name but changed her mind. She didn't deserve to use Eric's last name anymore. More than that however Mace was the name for a peaceful type person, Kozlov however was the name she used as a mighty warrior, who feared no battle. As much as Terra wished to leave that life behind, that was not a choice at this point. It was time to take the Kozlov name on once more despite the trouble it might bring. Ten years past since she was Terra Kozlov, in that time she hoped people had forgotten about her, though as notorious as she was at the time, she felt that wouldn't happen. She just hoped that this man had not heard of that. "And who might you be." She asked trying to not move too much given how bad her back hurt.
Tessa had a pretty hard grip but Seth didn't mind. When he was asked to he made sure to keep Tessa didn't move too much. "Shh, shh it will be okay. I know it hurts but just let it happen. Relax." Seth spoke softly to Tessa while he with Veceslav's help held Tessa still for the remainder of the stitches. It was all he could do until they were finished. It was all he could ever do now, he felt his time was coming to an end soon. Aaron was pacing around doing his best to help when Vyle burst into the room. The man stood back and listened to the conversation, figuring it was just a person they were helping with the situation, that was fine and all, but was not fine was the mention of his sister. Why the hell would they have brought Tatiana there? Aaron wanted to yell at Derrick and punch him in the face for his stupidity, however he managed to restrain himself. "You brought her here? Don't you know how dangerous this situation potentially is. I thought she was resting in Kaer. I will go fetch her, and take her somewhere somewhere more safe. When you are done with this contract meet me at the following location." Aaron continued to explain the location of Raymond's house to him before walking out the door. Outside there was no sign of Tiana. She didn't seem to be around anywhere. Perhaps she paced around the building somewhere. Aaron started to wander around the building. He came across a scene which first scared him greatly. He saw Vec kneeling over a girl and the first thought it could be Tatiana. Getting a closer look it was not Tatiana who was injured. But that didn't change the fact that he didn't know where she was and Veceslav was in from of him. Aaron didn't even try to get away, he simply waited for a word from Vec, once the yelling was done he would continue searching for Tatiana. She had probably just wandered off on her own to find an inn or something because she felt bad about hanging around, or something like that knowing her. After Archon put the glamour on Annabelle turned back to the mirror and looked at herself. Her fingers reached up to touched her injured eye which now looked perfect and normal. She was magic herself, but she still couldn't believe what it could do for her. Not an injury in sight, it was amazing. With one more look at herself she turned to Archon and took his hand as he lead her out on the balcony. Standing there Annabelle felt a mix of fear and excitement. She stood looking out at the amount of people who had gathered to see her introduction. As of this moment they were claiming her officially as the princess, for the world to know. It was amazing when they spoke of it, but now it was surreal. The young girl waved shyly with her free hand not knowing what else to do in the situation. Her face lit up with delight at all the cheering that started. They seemed to like her too, she was their princess now. Princess Annabelle Dragoncrest, instead of just Minion.
"Problem with her? Have you met her?" Aster asked in a slightly cocky tone. "Ever since she was a child she has been a bit mad in the head, she loved hurting people, things, interfering with my learning. There isn't much to like about her, even being my sister. Don't get me wrong, I don't want her dead but given how much she has done, a little torment is fine. I mean come on when my parents split neither of them wanted her, mom took her because dad refused to. And now she is a lap dog for the Hammer heads which I don't much approve of. So you tell me, what is there to like?" Aster explained. Hopefully she would figure out the picture. Aster really didn't think it needed explaining. The the grip that the paralysis had on her began to lessen and Rose was able to move again, well slightly. She was retained thanks to her damn brother, at least, surprisingly enough he had a shred of intelligence. He was the first one to prepare for her awaking, even still he was an idiot. Rose slowly tried to work on her restrains, seeing if she could break free. She didn't want to make it too clear what she was doing, just in case someone thought it would be a grand idea to paralyze her again. Rose did however begin to look around more, even try to get closer to the door, listen in to what was going on around her.
"You... You don't care! You forget about me and you like Ms. Shani better! You forgot me at the top of the bridge by myself! You left me with Damian and he dropped me and you didn't even care! You don't care for me and you don't know how to be a dad! Stop pretending to care for me when you don't!" Thea yelled at Vance, her thoughts on the matter more than clear as tears dripped down her face. She held onto Conrads legs tight, almost scared that he might get mad at her and hurt her.
This man spoke of her family being in a better place, which Anthea fully believed with. Anything was better than the suffering they were going through before. The constant pains of hunger and the constant cold of the night air with nothing to protect them against it. The pain of watching those around you suffer and not being able to do anything about it. Of course her family was in a better place than that because there was nothing worse that could come to pass. The conversation continued onto dependency compared to being independent. "I don't know if I could be independent. I was never really taught how to be. I have always depended on people and their generosity to keep myself alive. There is no being independent for me I don't think." She tried to explain, and she also tried not to think about the fact that this man just told her that he had been in jail. That did not help her discomfort with him. In the end Baldomar brought up a point that suddenly really scared Anthea. She had not thought of that before. She had not considered that Grason might decide to pick up and leave her with nothing after she had outlasted her usefulness. He suggested that she learned to live off the wild, but she didn't even know what to expect in the wild much less how to live off of it. Anthea looked up slightly at Baldomar through strands of hair that fell in front of her face. She was scared and unsure of what to say to Baldomar. He left her in an odd spot that she didn't know what to do about anymore. "Would he really do something like that to me?" It seemed that everyone was okay with the rooms, so Laurentinus followed to the room and quickly settled down for bed. Despite the noise in the other rooms, Laurenitus found sleep rather quickly. He had long ago learned to sleep through anything if needed, and at the end of the day, Laurentinus needed the rest.
Slavko watched from a distance, the events at the motel. A smirk crossed his face as he watched the person enter and leave right after. Fresh meat to pick on it seemed. He was already able to snap one of the shadow hunters, oh that was funny. Perhaps he could break this one too. Slavko wandered away from his vantage point, into the streets. He just needed a new body to play around in, perhaps one of a female cop that he passed. That was just what he was going to do. Possessing the tall blonde female cop, he made his way back towards the crime scene that he caused. He approached the young lady that worked the front desk, it seemed that her day was going horribly, just as he planned. "My name is Alice Cooper, NYPD." He flashed the badge that was on the cop. "Can you take me to the place that the murder took place please, one of my colleagues will be along soon to question you, but for now taking me to the room would suffice." He asked the girl, his voice sweet and rich speaking from the girls mouth. It was rare that he took over girls bodies but he could still have fun with this. Roxanne didn't actually need to use the washroom, she was simply using that as an excuse to get away from Brianne and the Clave even for a moment. The girl was obviously pissy right now and Roxanne didn't want to deal with it. However her peace and quiet away from Brianne didn't last long before Roxanne heard the girl screaming for her. "I know everyone just wants to be screaming my name, but do you really think that is appropriate at work? I mean you said so yourself that we have a mission right?" The girl said as she swept her hair behind her shoulder. "So what is it? Do I get to play with my knife and new tricks. I have been wanting to do that all night. Please say I get to try. Please!" There was an excited tone in the girls voice, she was looking forward to the hunt, perhaps a bit too much. Either way Roxanne got herself ready to go and follow Brianne's lead. "After you, your ladyship."
Great now the man was asking how she ended up doing what she was doing, that was something that she really didn't want to discuss. However she felt slightly intimidated by the man, so instead of avoiding the subject, she spoke of it. "Well I only ended up there because my family had no money you see. They either starved to death or died of illness when I was younger. I was left on my own to try to feed myself. I used my magic to try to impress people and get them to give me money so I could survive. Master Grason took notice and took me into his home. He fed, trained and clothed me in exchange for me serving him you see." The young girl explained, her eyes not leaving her bowl of soup the entire time as she slowly ate it. "Happy childhoods like the one you described are for the well off, not for the poor farm families." She told him, a tone of sadness in her voice. "But it is okay. The master takes good care of me. I have a better life than I would otherwise so I can't complain." Anthea sounded slightly more cheerful about that, though it part it was just another thing to try to make sure no one worried too much about her. In the end she was simply a servant, she didn't deserve anyone's concern, she was only here as a possible source of income for Grason.
The way the old man started the conversation was one that Roxanne did not like. He spoke of a life long left by Roxanne, one that she didn't remember well. When her mind snapped she let herself forget a lot of the time before when she was one of the best Shadowhunters. She had skill and talent she was in the making to be great, but one demon pushed her slightly too far. Before that she was legitimately happy, not the fake mask that she wore now. She could hardly stand to think of that time, it drove her further into insanity. Roxanne shifted on her feet as she listened to what the Clave had to say. She knew better than to speak up as he recited his punishment. When he was done she simply waved him off. "Whatever." She said as she walked away from the mirror. She didn't like the fact that people had to look over her shoulder the entire time. However a secret part of her heart was looking forward to having companionship. Even since it all happened, since the demon took over the body of the man she loved and forced her to kill him, no one would go too close to her. Everyone thought she was too insane to deal with so why bother, however little did anyone know that it only drove her further into insanity. Loneliness was not something Roxanne particularly liked, but she used it to drive her manic habits. Walking away Roxanne turned around to speak to Brianne. "I am going to the bathroom if that is alright? Or do I need watched for that too?" Roxanne said with quite a bit of sass to her voice. This situation was annoying but she could live with it. She would have to and perhaps she could make the best out of it.
