Roxanne followed Brianne, surprisingly enough without causing any problems. She was mostly simply thinking about how much she wanted another ice cream bar after she dropped her last one. She kept up her cheery attitude as they headed down the streets, it was the little things after all. Reaching the church Roxanne settled down from her happy attitude as Brianne removed the glamour. She couldn't stay happy all the time, not with what was coming. She knew she was in trouble and she didn't really care that she was, even still she wouldn't be humming and skipping about it here. Even Roxanne in her insanity knew better than that. Following Brianne into the Artifact room, Roxanne kept out of the way and out of sight as Brianne began talking to the old man known as the Clave. While Brianne talked, Roxanne paced around the room, running her fingers over the corners of glass cases as she examined what was inside. It wasn't like she hadn't seen it before, but she still liked to look at it sometimes, especially while bored out of her mind waiting for the moment when she finally got in trouble and she could get this whole ordeal done and over with so she could return to hunting. She still hadn't got a chance to try out the new carving technique that she wanted to try. Roxanne was drawn out of her pouting when Brianne signaled her over. It seemed it was her turn. Roxanne walked over with almost a skip in her step, truly not caring what was to come. "Heeeyyyy! Old man! How are you?" She asked the Clave as she reached a position he could see her, and she could see him. "Still alive somehow I see!" This was about the friendliest greeting you got out of Roxanne. Perhaps it was disrespectful, but she couldn't care less, to her it was fine. "So, you wanted to talk to me about something? Is this about the guy that got away. I was going to chase him down, but a certain girl had her panties too far up her butt to let me." Roxanne continued to explain.
"Don't worry about me, really." Anthea insisted. She wasn't used to people being so worried about her health and how much she ate. Anthea generally lived off of whatever was left over from her masters meals, which some days it would be a lot, but sometimes very little. On top of that, just in general the girl was fairly small, it wouldn't take much to keep her going. So in the end the bowl of broth was going to be plenty for her. Soon the conversation switched to one that she hoped to avoid. Anthea supposed there was no harm in telling people the reason she was here, even if she did feel slightly embarrassed about it. "Well I am here because I got the letter and master gave me leave to come join and explore the world, but he wants me to bring back anything I find. So that is why I am here, to put my magic and rituals to good use and hopefully find something of profit for my master." She explained the best she could without making Grason sound like too bad of a person, as well as giving a logical reason why she was allowed to go on something like this. Finally the man ended by asking her to call him by his first name and not the proper formal use. Again it was something she was not used to, but she was starting to get more used to being here. "Okay... er... Baldomar. I will try." She told him. Saying his first name seemed weird to her, yet she did it anyways, it was what was asked of her, so she would do it. "Alright given what I have heard all you say so far, perhaps the best plan of action is if rooms are as followed. I will bunk with Lumen, Tessa and Alice can room together. And since Kara seems to have taken a liking to Conrad best, they can room together. Is there any objections to this? If not I will be off to my room." Laurentinus hoped that this room configuration would work out, because he really didn't want to spend too much time trying to make up another one that might work for them all. Perhaps if this one didn't work out he would let someone else try to figure it out next time. He didn't particularly care who he roomed with, as long as he could go to sleep soon.
To Tatiana it seemed that Vyle didn't care about her fear or what happened and had no intent on leaving, instead just telling her to go. She glanced around at those around her, her eyes resting on Kruez for a moment, hoping for some help, but the moment she heard Vyle snap, she couldn't take it. Tatiana took off running out of the ally and towards another one. All she knew is that she had to get away from them, all of them it felt like, but especially Seth. "What do we got er? A little lass it seems?" A gruff voice said as he stepped out of the shadows of the ally and grabbed Tatiana. "No much she can do now without 'er little wicha friends to protect 'er." A second one said as he approached, chuckling as he watched Tatiana squirm. "Are ye' sure this es de one?" The first one asked as he wrapped his hand around Tatiana's mouth to keep her from screaming. "I'm sure, but we could always give 'er a go first. Check if the goods are still worth the price we will be getting paid." He took his sword and started lifting up Tatiana's skirt. Tatiana's screams were muffled by the first man's hand, she squirmed and thrashed trying to break free, however his grip on her was far too strong as he yanked her close to his body holding her against his. "I 'ope ye'r up for a fun night. Just don't break before we get our pay." He whispered in her ear before yanking her down the dark ally. Seth wasn't paying attention to what was happening around him, he only was paying attention to Tessa and how she was doing. However in that moment he did glance away, the girl seemed to wake up, his attention was brought to this by her words. "Oh! Sorry!" He said as he loosened his grip on her hand. "I am glad to see you awake." He then commented as he rubbed the back of her hand with his thumb. Things were starting to look up for Tessa, though he knew it wasn't all sunshine and roses from her on out. The next word out of her mouth confused Seth at first before he remembered what he was wearing. "It is a long story. I will tell you about it later, for now you should rest and heal up. The medic is doing a great job, you just have to hang on a bit longer." His voice was calm and soft as he did his best to be strong for Tessa's sake. To make her convinced that she would be alright to make her fight harder for her life. She would make it, he was convinced of that. She was stronger than anyone gave her credit for. She was an angel after all. Aaron listened closely to Derricks analysis of the situation. "The explosion was big from what I could tell. Are you sure that the one that set if off was the one who ran. It would have had to be pretty close to the person don't you think, I mean to be able to get it off in time? If that is the case then it is likely they got injured in the blast, running wouldn't be an option. Of course this is just speculation but something we should probably look into." Aaron pondered as he looked around the room, using his witcher senses to take in everything around him to the best of his ability. "So what would you like me to do, I will give you a hand if you allow it." Aaron offered. He purposely avoided the comment about Veera, he would deal with that mess later. First he had to deal with this one, and this seemed like a big one. Unfortunately he didn't have much time, there was a war with the dopplers that he had to remember. He had to get Derrick to help them too, but that meant getting through this as fast as possible, so he would do what he had to.
Tatiana didn't know if she was relieved or felt more guilty when Vyle said they wouldn't leave her alone. However as events unfolded she definitely felt guilty. When the explosion sounded and Vyle left to chase after the sound, Tatiana did her best to take the horse and just keep up with Derrick. She was definitely feeling better than she had, so she could keep up easier, but still she felt like she was slowing them down. That being said the horse was not being the most cooperative at times either. Getting to the location Tatiana made sure to stay quiet and out of the way until the discussions on what happened and what to do were complete. Looking around at what was left, Tatiana felt sick to her stomach. She felt like what she went through was insignificant and shouldn't actually matter. It made her feel like she needed to do something, but what could she do? She was just a weak human in the end. Staying out of the way was the only real option she had. Given that, Tatiana had no problem following the strange man in whom they only just met instead of staying with the person she trusted, Aaron trusted. Following Vyle behind the building however she had no choice but interfere with what he was trying to accomplish. Rounding the corner she had spotted four people huddled around something, or perhaps someone. However one thing stuck out of the four people, and that was a fiery red haired young man. It was the man from the brothel, the one that hurt her. He was a doppler so he could use many forms and yet he used the one that he used when he hurt her the first time. He was the cause of all this. Worse than that was the fact that beside him was Veceslav, and he was helping the doppler. Tatiana felt betrayed though Vec did not owe her any sort of loyalty. Despite the fact that she had been having troubles remembering things lately there was a few things she didn't forget, the face of the man who hurt her, and what he did to her, along with the pain of it. Tatiana's mind flashed through all these things. These memories brought on the phantom pains causing the girl to double over in pain. Tears streamed down her face as she looked up at Vyle. "I am sorry.... I am so sorry. You have to get me out of here. Please!" She pleaded with him. "I didn't want to make it any harder for finding your friend but...Gah!" Tatiana's sentence was interrupted by another sharp pain, though through panting breaths she continued. "But he... he nearly raped and killed me. I can't... I can't be here." She felt worse about dragging Vyle away from possible information, but there was little else she could do. Seth did as he told and kept pressure on the wound right until the medic pushed him out of the way to start her work. He happily moved aside if it meant saving Tessa's life. Seth looked up going to respond to the person who approached asking questions... or snap at him would be a better description of what he was going to do, however this didn't come to pass because of an unexpected face. The girl was with him, the one he had hurt, and she looked scared and in pain. If that was not enough of an answer to Veceslav nothing would be. Seth knew he was in trouble and had to get out of there, but one look at Tessa and he knew he couldn't move. Seth just held Tessa's hand tight and remained quiet, staring at Tessa's face and not daring to look up at the people around him. He was sure they would be more than a little mad at him and there was little chance that he would survive much longer, and yet still he felt he had to stay with Tessa. She gave him the benifit of the doubt when little would, and she was kind to him. He wouldn't abandon her in her time of need, even if that equaled his own death. An explosion echoed through the city. Aaron wanted to see what happened and wanted to help if he could, but he also knew that if Veceslav of Derrick were in the city it was likely that they would have the same thoughts. If Aaron was going to find either of them, it would be there. Arriving at the location of the blast he found his thoughts correct as he stepped inside the abandoned building to see Derrick in the room. "So it seems she was correct." He mumbled to himself before approaching Derrick. "Is everything alright? Do you know what happened here?" The young witcher asked as he approached. First he would help out here, then he would see if he could get Derrick to return and meet Veera with him. Perhaps in the end he would even ask if Derrick had seen Veceslav, however that idea still made him uncomfortable. The old witcher would be more than pissed at him. For now Aaron would take things one step at a time and right now that was helping Derrick so he could rope Derrick into helping him and Veera after. Annabelle gasped at the sight of the tiara. It was beautiful, perhaps the most beautiful thing she had seen. After it was placed on her head, Annabelle looked at herself in the mirror and smiled as she swayed a bit. "It is so pretty! I look like a real princess now! Thank you! Thank you so much!" She said as she twirled around. She was every bit like the princesses she saw in all those books the night before, perhaps even more beautiful in her opinion. The fears of having to meet the people melted away as she was excited to show off her new look. "I am ready to go when you are!" She announced taking one last look at herself before turning to Archon and waiting for further instruction. She never had been good at doing things herself and being independent, she wasn't allowed with Yana and before that she was simply too young.
A man approached Anthea, one of the men that were causing her to feel nervous earlier. She kept her eyes averted as he spoke to her, but despite her discomfort, she answered him. "It is okay. I am not that hungry, I don't tend to eat much. Perhaps you should take it... to keep up your strength I mean." She responded, offering her bread once again as she slowly started to take small sips of her soup. The man then continued to ask who she was and where she was from. She supposed she never did answer those questions earlier due to the fact she already told Aston that. "My name is Anthea Romero. I reside in Master Grason's home in Whytehold." She then explained. The man offered reason why he was there, so Anthea was not sure if she was expected to do the same, however since she wanted to fit in and not just be seen as a servant while she was here, she thought she better not tell unless asked. Anthea would never dare lie about it, but withholding information was a different matter. "It is nice to meet you Mr. Errerim." Conrad sat with them and began to ask about food options, Kara wandered off on her own, Tessa and Alice had joined them for dinner, and the other man, Lumen, was doing something or other. Although they weren't quite all there Laurentinus figured now would be the easiest time to figure out sleeping arrangements. "So..." Ren started awkwardly as he looked up from his bowl of soup. "Who is going to bunk with who? If we are to share rooms, we best get this sorted out before we are all ready to sleep. Given there is three males and three females that we need to figure out rooms for, assuming Shyra is taking her own room, we will have to have at least one male and female pair up. However if we all do it this way it would make it a little more roomy on the beds for the males. That being said I understand if not everyone is comfortable with that. So that being said, thoughts?" He spoke in a calm tone. It was easy to tell he had been thinking through this but the end result wouldn't bother him too much. It was just a simple step that they needed to take to make everything go a little more smoothly.
Tessa left and before Seth could follow her, he was spot by the witcher. Well this was not good. Seth stood up, his limbs ached from the cold and crouching so long. His lips were slightly blue due to being as cold as he was, but still he turned and faced Veceslav with all the pride he could muster while wearing a floral print dress. "You know-" Seth was cut off by hearing his name being called. Turning to be the source of the call if found Zack there and frantic. "Tessa is in trouble? F*ck! As much as this conversation was going to be good and lovely we have a bigger matter. Lets go!" Seth said as he took off running behind the lead of Zack. He kept running until he saw an explosion. Though he wasn't sure if it was connected, it was in the right direction. Soon enough Seth found his way near the building where the explosion happened. "Sh*t Tessa! Where are you!" Seth called out as he began to run around the building and hoped he could find Tessa safe outside the building. It would be a lot more dangerous to go in. He was in luck to find Tessa outside, however she was not safe. "Tessa!" Seth ran to Tessa's side and put his hand firm over his wound. "What happen? Who did this?! Tessa listen to me, you will be alright! I promise." Seth said as he held her. He didn't know how to heal her so he simply tore a piece of cloth from the dress and pressed it against the wound.
Tatiana was startled when Derrick ordered her behind him, she didn't hesitate to follow the orders given. The young woman was fearful during this time and expecting the worst, it was a small relief when Derrick calmed down and told her the man meant no harm. Even though it seemed she was safe, Tatiana didn't move from behind Derrick. Even if he meant her no harm, this clearly didn't have anything to do with her and thus she didn't need to make herself all that visible, she felt best to just keep out of the way while the males talked. When the introduction came around Tatiana was not sure if she should bother introducing herself, however in the end she was sure it wouldn't hurt if she did. "I'm Tatiana Risen, Tiana for short. Nice to meet you Vyle." She said quietly with a small wave. She followed the men to the tavern and sat down quietly again allowing the men to talk about their business. However after the explanation was over with Tatiana felt a certain amount of uneasiness. Would Derrick help, or would he worry about her too much? If she tagged along would that make things too dangerous? All these questions swirled in her head. In the end she decided her life was not more important than a mage and someone's friend. "You can leave me here if you want to help... I am sure I can find a way to make it on my own." Tatiana spoke up and offered. In her current state she wasn't fast or strong and she was constantly confused, she would be a burden to hang around. That being said these same qualities made it dangerous for her to go off alone, especially when people would be looking for her, but in the end she didn't care. All she cared about was giving Derrick the option to help this man find his mage friend. The fear of the unknown dissipated as Annabelle got more excited to look at dresses. It was a distant memory by the time she was looking at the dresses. The young girl was so excited to look at them that she hardly noticed when Archon left. The girl looked at each dress closely and pulled them out one by one, holding them up to herself before replacing them. She got about half way through the selection when she saw a sparkle of a purple dress near the end. Annabelle stopped her looking and went straight for the dress. She didn't have to even hold it up to herself before she decided. "I like this one. This is the one!" She held the dress out to the tailor. The dress she had picked out was a floor length ball gown, It's purple bodice and skirt were accented with jewels of silver. The fabric shimmered and sparkled in the light. Annabelle was left breathless at the sight of this dress. Urging the tailor to help her, Annabelle got the dress on and stood as still as she could while he pinned it. She found it hard to keep still with the excitement of it all. As soon as the tailor was done the young girl ran from the dressing room to show Archon. "I picked one! What do you think?!" She announced happily as she twirled around to show him the dress she had picked out. Spoiler: the dress (Although more made for little kids, same idea though) Aaron was a man of few words. "Agreed." He told Veera to her request to meet back there later. After he had left the property though and left Veera's sight, Aaron stopped moving and let out a sigh. Why was he the one who had to face Veceslav? He was sure he was going to be in a great deal of trouble for this in the end, on top of that Veera expected Derrick to be here too, if that was true then there would truly be an issue. Aaron had left Tatiana with the two of them, knowing that she would be safe. Who was she with now if not with them? Was she still even at Kaer? Was she safe? He trusted everyone at Kaer, but he still couldn't help but question. Perhaps he would need to ask when he eventually found Veceslav or Derrick. Now the only question remaining was where to start looking. Terra slowly awoke expecting to be back at the orphanage at first. When she opened her eyes and realized that wasn't so, she started recounting everything that had happened. She had just hoped Zephyr had made it out okay, as for the kids, she had little hope for them. Once more it seemed everything had been stripped from her. Terra glanced around the room she was in before slowly trying to sit up. Sitting up was a slow process with a few grunts and moans as she tried to work through the pain and sit properly. When she at last got herself to an upright position she glanced over at the man who had helped her. "Thanks... For helping me." Her voice was scratchy as she spoke but still understandable. "How can I repay you?" She then asked. She knew she owed this man a lot, not only had he found her last night and helped patch her wounds, but she was aware she couldn't go too far right at the moment, not without just portalling somewhere else and staying there. She was sure, given the expertise in which he had bandaged her the night before, he had enough knowledge to know she wouldn't be going far fast. Now she just had to find a way to repay this man.
Ignored. They were ignoring her and everything that she said. How dare they ignore her like that? Oh how Roxanne wished on occasion that she could plunge her knife into one of these people, but she knew better. If anyone bothered to be nice to her perhaps it would be a different story, perhaps she would be more willing to help and listen, but no one truly liked her so why should she make their lives easy? The girl had not always been this insane but after seeing one too many loved ones die, even having to kill one boy in whom she loved because he had been taken over by a demon, that got to people. Now no one liked her, so why should she like them? Why should things be simple for them? Just because she couldn't kill them didn't mean she couldn't get in the way at times just for the fun of it. "I'm coming, gee stop being in such a hurry. If we were chasing that creepy dude I would understand, but we are just going back to the institute." Roxanne whined as she followed Brianne. Of course she would follow, in the end she knew that Brianne would keep true to her threat. Roxanne was dumb but not that dumb. She was even smart enough to tuck her knife away as she walked. Though she couldn't let Brianne be so mean and grumpy towards her without some sort of punishment. That being said Roxanne started humming a happy tune and skipping as she followed, just like she was enjoying herself.
Samuel uses Martial Arts Alexis uses power of suggestion
"A-are you sure.... You looked worried." Adelina commented but in the end with Zack next to her there wasn't much fighting off the sleep. Alcohol made her tired and Zack was a great source of comfort for her. Given these two things, the fact that she was about to fall asleep was not so far fetched. The Fairy girl yawned as she snuggled up close to Zack. "We are safe up here, you should sleep too." She suggested before her eyes grew too heavy to possibly keep open any longer. She fell asleep letting her head rest in Zacks lap, whether he liked it or not. Swinging around Flame kept an eye on Drake as she fought. He was making her nervous trying to fight without his gear, at any moment a wrong footing could equal his death and this time she might not be around to prevent it. In the end she had more than just Drake to worry about, there was all that was helping her here and now. One by one Flame took out titans in the area around her, thinning the numbers until they eventually dropped to zero. There were still plenty of titans in the city but they were quickly thinning, Flame just needed to trust that the group she sent to plug the hole in the wall would ultimately find a way to do so and fast. With her area cleared out for the most part Flame knew she had to watch out for more than just Drake. Landing on the ground Flame transformed into her leopard form and began to run the city checking on the other people who were fighting. Approaching Tessa and Gale she transformed back into her more human like form. "Keep calm and keep focused, it is the only way to stay alive. You have time to deal with your emotions later." Flame instructed in a calm tone as she launched herself at a titan, taking it out swiftly. Her gaze went back to Drake for a moment but seeing he was still safe at that time she focused on helping Gale and Tessa, hoping that Drake would be smart enough to join them and not go off on his own.
Getting up from the ground Destiny felt something dripping from her nose. She touched the moister and brought her hand away from her face to see a small amount of blood covering her fingertips. Of course a nose bleed to make things even harder. Knowing that Derick would be mad if she tried to get something to stop the bleeding instead of cleaning, she resorted for cutting a corner of her skirt and holding that up to her nose. Destiny got to work on cleaning, making sure she cleaned everything to the best of her ability while avoiding dripping blood on it. It took her longer than normal to get her cleaning done, the pain in her body making it incredibly hard to finish it with the speed and ease that she was used to finishing things in. However she wasn't disheartened by this fact, at least Derick had not returned to yell at her for not having finished it yet. He was honestly probably to drunk to care at that time. Soon enough he would sober up and probably punish her more, but that wouldn't be for a bit. Finishing her work the girl retreated to her room. She walked over to the window and stared out it waiting until she heard the latch of her door click in place by Derick. With it in place she knew she wouldn't be allowed out for a long time, Derick would never bother climbing all the stairs unless he didn't need her for a while, most likely the rest of the night. Destiny then walked over to her bed and reached under her mattress, pulling out the letter. She stared at the words on it, trying to read it better and understand everything. As she stared at the letter, a song touched her lips once again. Quietly she sang as she stared out the window. By this point her nose stopped bleeding but she could feel that her cheek was still swollen. Sometimes Destiny wondered if anyone glanced up and saw her in the window. Wondered if anyone cared she was there or wondered what happened in this house. Even if they didn't it was okay. At least she had a roof over her head and got fed, even if she was missing dinner tonight. She wasn't so hungry that she would die, and for that she was grateful. Carson got a few odd looks but for the most part not many people paid him much mind. It seemed that people were too worried about other things, other things such as creatures appearing on the world, hurting people. From the sounds of it there was some in the woods nearby. Carson got up from the bench and wandered off towards the direction of the woods. The pain in his arm lingered but soon enough he was going to remedy that. It didn't take long in the woods before Carson came across some shadows hiding in the darkness. Carson wasted no time summoning his keyblade and getting to work. As each heartless dissolved to mist at the swing of his keyblade, the dark mist found it's way into the runes that covered his arm, and relief filled his body. The runes flickered and shined as he continued to take out heartless. When all was eradicated in one area, Carson moved deeper into the forest. He had all the darkness he needed to quench the curse, now he just wanted to see what else he could discover. The one thing Carson had not expected to find however was a girl wandering the forest. The man glanced at his glowing rune covered arm, wondering if it would scare the girl, before deciding to go ahead and talk to her anyways. "Excuse me, young lady. What are you doing in these woods alone? Don't you know it is dangerous? There are creatures in her with the intent of harming people." Carson explained to Teliana, hoping he wouldn't frighten her too badly. After all he just wanted to help.
The number shocked Aster, and of course Carissa was right, there was no way he could beat that, not even by lying. He could lie to match the kill count maybe but in the end the capture of his sister made it impossible to try to say he did better. Though even with the loss, it wasn't all bad. He did still get to hang around Carissa all the time and check out her magnificent *ss. Though the first order he received from Carissa was not one he was a fan of following. He couldn't touch his sister? He could even torment her a little? That really sucked. Aster followed Carissa to the cock pit, and despite the evasive maneuvers he kept his calm. He didn't care they were trying to escape, he just wanted to talk a little. "So... I can't touch Rose, but can I at least watch you torment her. I am sure it will be great fun. She always had the best reactions when I tormented her." He said from his seat. Aster then tried his best to fix his hair while Carissa focused on getting them out of there. There was not much he could do, so why not make himself look good for his date with the second best Shard there was.
Thea didn't like hearing the fact it wasn't a surprise that Vance had forgotten her. Did everyone else know that he couldn't do the job before she herself realized it? Did they just stay back and wait for her to get hurt and realize it for herself? Why would they do that to her, and not just do something about it? Then again she didn't know what they would have done about it anyways. Conrad then continued to speak about her being dropped and how it was an accident. "I-I tried to warn him it wasn't going to be safe, but he didn't listen! He made me trust him and then he dropped me. I am not hurt any more, but why should I trust him? Accident or not I warned him and he didn't listen!" Thea replied, tears streaming down her face and she was nearly yelling. She was very frustrated with everything and everyone. Conrad just finished comforting her when someone else approached, Vance. He tried to tell Conrad to leave things to him, but Thea didn't want to face Vance. She didn't want to talk to him. The child slowly moved behind Conrad once again, peering out from behind him at the person who claimed to be her father. Thea slowly nodded in response to Vance before answering Conrad. "I don't want you to leave. Please don't leave me." She asked him quietly. It was coming increasingly clear that currently she wanted nothing to do with Vance, especially because she felt he wanted nothing to do with her at times.
Aaron arose and followed Veera as she said it was time. He wasn't really ready for what they had to do, but he would do it anyways. He would do whatever he had to for Tatiana, she had already done the same for him, he owed her this. He owed her safety from the monsters that had hurt her. She deserved a good life and though she had not had it so far, he would make it happen for her, then he would do what witchers do best and travel and fight monsters. After this he didn't think he could face Tatiana again, not when she taught him mercy. He was throwing her teachings away but wasn't it for her own safety? This is what Aaron chose to believe. "Ready." Aaron said quietly in a rather monotone voice. It was going to get messy from here on in but he was ready for it. Annabelle watched as Archon left before she started to pace the room which she now assumed was hers. She couldn't believe all that had just happened, first someone chased off Yana, and now she could be a princess? On top of all that the King could make it look like she was not as injured as she was. This all made Annabelle, excited, but nervous. It was such a change from any life she had ever known. Annabelle picked up the book with the princess in it and looked at the images printed in it for a while, trying to imagine what it would be like for her to live like a princess. It seemed like it would be great but as much as she would have loved to continue looking at books and dreaming, tiredness over took her. Annabelle crawled into the bed to get some sleep, but was surprised when she did so. The bed was so comfortable. She had never slept in something so comfortable, it was odd. With Yana she generally slept on the ground and even with her parents, they couldn't afford much for a bed so it was not nearly as soft as this. Annabelle couldn't believe it, she found it odd to sleep in, but odd in a pleasant way. When morning came around Annabelle woke up to Archon entering her room again telling her that he was going to introduce her to the people. With everything they talked about the day before coming into action, it made her incredibly nervous. The child climbed out of bed to stand and face Archon. She kept her eyes to the ground trying to figure out what to think of everything. It was scary but exciting. "Can I pick my own clothes?" Annabelle finally asked quietly. She wanted to look pretty but she wanted a say in what she wore for this. If there was one thing she could get excited about it was new clothing, even if everything else was scary. After Seth got out of the water he had realized what he had done. He had up and left Tessa with the witcher threatening him. Although he believed the fact that the witcher wouldn't actually hurt anyone that was innocent. However Seth couldn't help but wonder if even so the man would use Tessa against him in the end. He could hold her captive to get to him. How could he have been so stupid? If he really thought about it he probably could have talked himself out of it. Filled with regret Seth decided he had to make up for his mistake. The man was freezing his teeth chattered as the night air held his soaked clothing against his skin. Seth needed two things right now, a weapon, and a change of clothing. Seth didn't know how he would get either but he had to try and fast. The weapon wasn't that hard to find, then again it wasn't a proper weapon either. Walking through an ally he was able to find a piece of metal pipe. This wouldn't do too much but it was better than nothing. As for clothing, that was a little more difficult. In the end he broke into a house of someone who wasn't home and took the first piece of dry clothing he could find. Unfortunately for him it was a floral print dress. Either way it was better than his wet clothing. Seth made his way out of the house rather quickly, and changed in the ally, leaving his clothes spread out to dry behind a couple boxes. He didn't really expect them to be there when he got back, but he hoped. Now equipped with his floral dress and metal pipe, Seth snuck back near the camp site, but did not go in view of it. He hid around a corner and listened to what was going on, trying to gauge whether or not Tessa was safe. She sounded safe but the first words he caught was Veceslav telling Tessa that he had hurt someone. Well that wasn't good, even so he wouldn't leave. He was not going to leave until he knew for sure Tessa was safe. Although this could very well be at the cost of his own health. As it stood he couldn't stop shivering. Seth listened to the entire conversation. The one about him, the one about Tessa leaving, everything. He forced himself to stay awake during the silence as he huddled beside a building attempting to keep himself warm and hidden. He didn't know what he could tell Tessa to make things right. If he lied about hurting the girl, would he be able to get away with it? If not would she trust him? He didn't want Tessa traveling alone, he would take her if she allowed it but he had a bigger issue currently. Even as Tessa went to leave Seth did not come out of hiding. He would sneak around watching her for a while then let her find him in a tavern or something. He would take it from there, but for now he just hoped he could stay hidden from Veceslav. Tatiana kept quiet as she followed Derrick. She stared at the ground feeling like a burden to everyone. He thought she might find rest wherever Veera was staying, but that meant dumping her on someone else once again because she was unable to be alone in this state. She supposed being with different people all the time meant that no one person was burdened with her for long, but even still. How long could she do this for? How any people could watch after her before they got sick of her and just left her to fend for herself. How long before they took too long taking care of her bosses and someone comes for her and hurts whoever is helping her at the time? How long could this go on? Not much longer she thought, but for now she had to follow along, she had no other choice in the matter unless she wanted to condemn herself to being caught and dragged back to the brothel.
"My name is Runa, Runa Mata." Runa introduced herself before falling silent and watching Kara as she worked, or more importantly the shadows behind Kara to make sure no one was coming. At least there was someone willing to help her out, she was scared that this was the end for her to be honest. Once the cage was open, Runa stood up to face Kara properly. She didn't take the time for the well needed stretch, instead moving for the door right to Kara's side. "This place gives me the creeps, I don't want to be around here any longer than I have to, lets go." Runa replied to Kara telling her she was free. This was followed up by motioning Kara to go ahead. After all Kara was the one was the source of light and seemed to have some sort of feeling for what was going on. Runa however did not. She had gotten so disoriented during the entire thing, that she was not confident in her ability to go ahead or wander alone until they made it out of here and back to familiarity. Even as a traveler, sometimes you need to stop and find somewhere you know before you can continue to what is new. As much as Runa wanted to talk to Kara, ask her questions about all she knew about where they were, and what was happening, though apparently she didn't know much, Runa knew better than to talk right now, so instead chose to keep her mouth shut. She would find time to ask Kara everything and thank the girl properly once they were out of here, but anything even the slightest too loud could call attention to them and that wouldn't be good.
Anthea stayed back while the discussion about rooms and meals started, and by the end the question was asked about pitching in for more. "My apologizes Mr. Aston. I would chip in, but I do not have any money to do so. However I don't eat much so if anyone want my portion of bread, you can have it, it is the best I can offer." Anthea said in a quiet voice. She kept her head low as she spoke and made the best offer she could. Besides it was true, she didn't tend to eat much so for her to give up her portion of bread wasn't a big deal, she would be fine with the broth, she was sure of it. Arriving at the inn, Laurentinus kept an ear open for what was being said, though he knew better than to give any comment on it. He was learning a few things about Shyra though by doing this. What he was learning was not all that surprising given the way she had been acting towards them, but confirmation was not a bad thing. The first thing he learned was that Shyra was cheap, very cheap. If he had to guess, Ren would say it was Sanderson's idea to offer them pay, not hers. Second thing he learned is she was not one to be easily fast talked, he noticed the man trying to up sell her on things, and she caught on quickly, though that could go hand in hand with being cheap. The third thing he noticed was one he already knew and that was her controlling attitude. He felt like Shyra was the kind of person who always needed to be in direct control of the situation, a leadership role would not be handed over so easily by her. With the talk about rooms and food done and over with, Laurentinus went to find a place to sit while they waited for food. He didn't much feel like pitching in money before he had made money, no matter how good that beer sounded right about now. Even if he could have afforded it, he knew better than to get it while on a mission. Water would do him fine he supposed. Ren had found them all a table and sat down waiting for the others to join them if they so wished. He wondered who he would end up rooming with. There was not an even number of guys or girls, three of each actually, so one person would have to share a room with the opposite sex, he just wondered who it would be, unless it would be all of them since the girls were generally smaller than the guys, making it easier to fit on the beds comfortably.
Thea did indeed follow Conrad off to the side where he stopped to talk to her. The young girl slowly nodded when he asked if there was something bothering her. "This mission is no fun. I don't understand what is going on half the time. On top of that Vance forgot about be for Ms. Shani. He said he would take care of me and he forgot." Thea's voice was a mix between sad and annoyed. The annoyance particularly came out when she spoke the names of Vance and Shani instead of calling them Father and Red. Thea then continued on with what was wrong. "On top of all this the man who helped me down... he scares me but he promised to help and he... he dropped me. I was so scared and it hurt so much." Thea was now on the verge of crying. It seemed like everything was going wrong for her this time. "I don't know who to trust or what to do anymore and I am scared. Vance promised to be my new daddy but he can't. He just can't do it. He is nothing like daddy was and he doesn't care what I do. Is it because..." Familiar words of her past rung through her head, words told to her when she was a child the night before she accidentally killed her family. "Is it because I am a demon child?" She asked. Perhaps Vance had heard of the rumour about her and changed his mind, or perhaps it was all an act because he planned to use her for other purposes not really adopt her. She didn't know but now she was beginning to doubt Vance as well as pretty much everyone else around her. She didn't particularly trust Conrad much more but she had to tell someone what was on her mind.
Looking at the boat, Anthea didn't know what she thought about it. She wasn't sure if she would get sea sick or not given she had never been on a boat before. Never the less, she followed everyone else onto the boat and found a quiet spot to sit for a while. So far no one seemed to pay much attention to her, and that trend felt like it would keep on going. Aston did seem to try to make conversation with everyone, something she could jump in on and talk, however the question he asked had already been answered when she introduced herself. She had explained to him what she was and why she was here, as for the others, she was sure they didn't need to know. If asked she wasn't going to lie, but she wasn't going to answer just to announce it to everyone else there, not to answer Aston's question since he already knew the answer. Laurentinus was going to just kill the spider he knocked down to lower the danger of others being attacked by giant spiders, however Conrad's idea worked much better. That being said it was slightly strange way of dealing with thing, surprising even. But whatever got the job done he guessed. Laurentinus stepped back and surveyed the others, they all seemed alive and well. He walked up beside Conrad to apologize. "I am sorry. I shouldn't have left you with the two spiders. I wanted to make sure Kara was alright. I didn't expect everyone else not to help you either. I will be more careful next time." Ren promised.
Damn Tessa, why did she have to say that. He was in deep, deep trouble now. Seth quickly got to his feet feeling like a cornered rat, not sure what to do. Of course this witcher had heard of what he did, but Seth needed to find a way to talk himself out of the situation. "What girl? What are you talking about? I haven't even been in Novigrad recently! Just put the sword down.... Put the damn sword down, I didn't do whatever you are accusing me of." Seth stammered. He was slowly backing away from the fire. The witcher clearly meant no harm to Tessa, so if he left, in theory she should be safe. He had to trust that Tessa would be safe, and he wasn't. Seth glanced around for a way out, there seemed to be no good one, so he took a not as good option. Seth turned from Veceslav and quickly bolted towards the water, diving in as soon as he could. He had no choice but swim with the current for speed. This could get him very sick or nearly kill him, but he would rather that than die at the hands of an angry witcher. Seth kept his head underwater and swam as far as he could before coming up for air. His limbs were going numb, but he had to keep going, but this time on land. He was far enough away from the camp site that he couldn't see it anymore, but he was far from safe, he had to run as far and fast as he could. The first thing he did was take a different body, but still he was dripping wet, he just hoped it would slow Veceslav finding him. Though her eyes were blurry Terra was able to make out the face of a man as she felt him pick her up. It seemed that someone was in the end willing to help her. She wanted to speak, wanted to thank the man, but with the pain that filled her body and the blood draining, it felt like too much effort. Terra forced herself to keep her eyes open though, keep herself awake. She didn't know who this man was, and as much as she was in no position to deny help, she didn't want to trust anyone. Her mind drifted to the children she left, she had no doubt that they would probably be killed after she left unless Zephyr was able to do something about it, but that seemed unlikely. All Eric's hard work was for naught so it seemed. Tessa focused her eyes on the mans face, just something to focus on, though she didn't move much. Hopefully he was able to help her soon. Annabelle tried her best not to look fearful or uncomfortable when Archon removed his glamour. Apparently it could make her look normal, how she would love that. "So they won't see all these?" Annabelle asked as she slowly started to remove various bandages, many of which were singed and/or very dirty. She started with the one on her arm revealing horrific burns that was left there from earlier. She then reached up and removed the eye patch that she had worn ever since Yana took her. There was a ragged scar under it that was under her eye but cut into it in an area. The eye itself is was glazed over and white-ish. From there she removed other bandages, mostly hiding burn scars but some were cuts. She then faced Archon. "So you can help with this? You can make me look like a princess. Because I will be your princess for you if you want. I mean I don't know how to be a princess but I would love to try! It sounds so fun!" Annabelle started to sound really excited about the situation.
"Yoo hoo, you realize I am still right here you know. I can hear everything you say." Roxanne commented as she crossed her arms. Most people would be offended that it was more of a hassle to deal with her you, than a crazy murderer, but Roxanne just took it as a compliment. "You know, neither of you HAVE to take me back. I am still ready for a chase. Come on. Let me chase him. I have a new carving technique that I have been wanting to try." Roxanne asked of the two of them. She spun her knife around in her hand as she talked waiting for the answer. If she thought she could get away with it, she would just run now, but even this crazy girl was smart enough to know not to try. He had waited a good while before he found the perfect girl. He approached her and started flirting. The flirting was pretty easy, the girl was wrapped around his finger, hanging on his every word. This was good, very good. Slavko decided to draw this out a little longer, take her to a bar and talk for a bit. So he did exactly that, buy her a few drinks, seem like a perfectly good nice guy. He chatted the girl up for a few hours and it seemed that she just wanted a one night stand, and that was fine with him. The demon in a human body lead the woman, when she was good and drunk, to a motel and got them a room, jinxing the poor girl behind the counter while he was at it. Once in the room the girl he was with began to undress, and so did he, in a different way. The demon shed the body of the human that he possessed. He had already suffocated the soul that was inside leaving only an empty shell on the ground. Slavko then brought his chain out and whipped it at the girl. The force of it hitting her in the side knocked the half naked girl onto the bed. He walked over with a devious grin, knowing all it would take is a touch for him to kill her. "Don't trust strangers." Slavko threatened as he whipped her with the chain once again. He did this several time, each time the girls scream ripping through the room. Four slashes and she had died. Then just to make sure he used the destructive nature of his being, touching the girl through a kiss, making sure her body was truly gone. Slavko slipped from the room before authorities could get there, leaving two bodies behind and no trace of a demon ever being there.
