Sota smiled at Kairi, and held the door open at the art shop open for her.

Sota raised an eyebrow at Kairi, "Same old Kairi...," he said. Not that I'd have it any other way, he thought.

Sota shrugged, "Alrighty." He led Kairi out of the diner, and through the street, holding her hand.

"So, have you figured out what you like to draw, since the last time we made a stop?"

"Hey, if you think of anything you'd like to do, by all means, let me know," Sota smiled, holding his hand out to help Kairi, "I'd hate to run this show on my ideas alone, especially if you've got any ideas."

Sota smiled, and lightly kissed Kairi's lips, "I was thinking of grabbing a couple of art supplies, since we still have a few hours. After that, just basic wandering until we think of something else to do," He gently ran a couple of fingers ontop of her hand, "Would that be alright with you?"

Sota stared at the fountain, occasionally taking quick glances at Kairi, then going back to the fountain. After a few minutes of staring, he whispered, "You ready to go, or do you want to stay like this for a few more minutes?"

Sota looked at Kairi, then moved to the seat next to her. He put his arm around her shoulders, "The fountain looks beautiful, huh?" he smiled.

Sota smiled and nodded, "Yeah..." He finished off his hamburger. He looked over towards the fountain.

Sota chuckled, "Okay, maybe not the pickels part; I'm just saying this seems too good to be true. How often does it turn out this good for a person?" Sota took another bite of his hamburger and swallowed.

"Sorry," said Sota, smiling and shaking his head, "I'm still having a hard time believing this is really happening...I'm sitting here, having a good time, with lunch and company, who happens to be an amazing, incredibly beautiful girl," Sota looked at his hamburger, "Last time I had a dream this good turned out to be because I ate some bad pickels."

Sota smiled sheepishly as Kairi laughed, rubbing his neck. The waitress brought them their hamburgers, Sota paid her, and took a bite into his. He smiled at Kairi, and slightly shook his head.

Sota shook his head, "I don't think they'll bother you that much, at least not under the terms I gave them. Worse comes to worst," Sota turned a slight shade of red, smiled slightly, avoiding eye contact, "...we could always spend more time with each other." Sota asked a waitress for two hamburgers.

Sota smiled back, "Well...I don't think they'll bother us for awhile," he thought for a second, and sighed, "I'm not really in the mood for anything fancy...I don't think they'll object to a hamburger."

The blonde leader's composure appeared calm, but her eyes were completely wide, "You...were in prison? For what?" Sota raised an eyebrow, "Are you sure you really want to know?" The blonde stared at him for a second, then turned towards her group, and motioned for them to come. She looked at Sota one more time, looking like she'd hurt him, but then turned and walked away fast. The group followed her, looking terrified. Sota walked back to his table and sat down.

"Well...," Sota said, "Have you thought about what to have for lunch yet?"

Sota laughed a little, "Apparently you have an evil twin, Kairi,"

The blonde was about to object, when Sota stood up, "Could everyone please excuse a second? We need a small chat." Sota led the blonde away, then turned around to the 'group' trying to follow, "Sorry, but would the entourage please wait a sec? This won't take long. Promise." The girls looked at themselves, then just stood there.

The blonde put on a pre-madonna look after she was led away, "So, what're you gonna say? You gonna threaten me or something?"

Sota took a deep breath, "Look, I think it's sweet that you're trying to protect Kairi, even if we don't think it's necessary. I'm sure you've heard about my being arrested, and know the circumstances behind it. Be that as it may, I want to make this clear: If you have a problem with me, you take it up with me. Your constant harassment is hurting Kairi, making her sick. She's told you repeatedly to leave her alone, and you've not only ignored her, but you've barged in on her on several occasions. That's borderline stalking, and several charges of harassment," Sota looked her in the eyes, completely serious, "One last thing: You can do all you want to me; call me names, make up rumors, throw trash at me, whatever. But if I catch wind that you harm Kairi in any way, even if it's just with words or suggestions, to get to me, I want you to remember these words:

"I got no problem going back to prison."

Sota shrugged, "Worth a shot, I guess...ah, here they come. Brace yourself."

The group walked fast, around several tables, to get to Sota and Kairi. The leader, a blonde, looked at Kairi, "Kairi, what are you doing? I thought we had plans! Why are you blowing us off to be with this...this..."

"Shmuck?" Sota helped. The blonde nodded, "Yes! Shmuck!" Sota rolled his eyes, laughing slightly, "Is that the best you can come up with?" The blonde looked at him, confused, while the rest of the group whispered amongst themselves, "'Didn't he give her that one?' 'I dunno...it's all too confusing!'"

Sota rolled his eyes, "Well, I'm done running. Either we set a trap for them, we hide, or we let them come." He reached out and held her hand, with a fake serious look on his face, "If worse comes to worse, we'll hog tie them."

Sota led the way down a couple of blocks, until they reached the diner. There were a few tables out, since it was still fairly early. Sota led Kairi to one closest to the balcony, and sat in one of the chairs.
