Sota made a face, staring at the two sandwhich, "...maybe I do." He held the pb and j above his head, and peeked inbetween the sandwhich. As a result, some of the jelly fell on his face. "That was smart," he muttered.
Sota chuckled, "Just establishing that I'm not trying to pull anything on you." He slowly let go of Kairi, reached into the picnic basket and pulled out a sandwhich. He started eating it, then made a face. He looked at it, swallowed, then spoke, "Odd...I thought this was ham and cheese...it's really peanut butter and jelly. Either they look the same, or I need my eyes checked." He made an odd-joking face.
Sota saw the concern on Kairi's face, and laughed slightly, "There's nothing wrong with me, honest," he said, taking a few deep breaths, "I just flew the two of us for 45 minutes, scared the two of us halfway to death, I'm starting to get a little hungry, and I just told my," he started to blush a little, "...my girlfriend that I loved her. It's been a very nerve-wracking hour." He smiled, moved from the tree, and hugged Kairi from behind. "I'm not lying to you. Honest, I'm fine."
Sota smiled, and nodded, wiping the last of his tears away. He reached into one of his packs, and pulled out a few blankets, and spread one of them out to sit on. He put the picknick basket out on top of it, and opened it up. "Help yourself," he said, "I wasn't sure what to bring on this little outing, so there's pretty much everything under the sun in there." He sat down, leaning against a tree next to a blanket. After all that just happened, Sota was wiped out.
Sota nodded, after saying that, and weakly smiled. He slowly released her, and wiped his eyes, "Man...this weather, huh?" he joked, trying to wipe all the tears away, quickly. He unwrapped themselves from With's wings, and Sota cleared his throat, "So, umm...*ahem*....you hungry? It's almost time to eat, and we don't have to worry about," he looked around, "...anyone...not even bears, it looks like." He shrugged, with an 'I don't know what else to add' face.
Sota hugged her after as she said that. He hugged her as tight as he could, wanting to never let go of her. He wrapped themselves up with With's wings, as tears were slowly falling from his cheeks. "I'm sorry I scared you, Kairi," he managed, barely making a whisper, "I just...with all that's been going on, the stress of being sick, plus that fan club trying to push at you, I thought...I was sure if I told you now, it would be the straw that broke the camel's back."
Sota landed softly at the spot he described to Kairi, gently set her down, but didn't let go of her; he still had his hands on her arms. He closed his eyes, took several deep breaths, opened them again, and tried to speak calmly, trying hard not to show how scared he was. "...I love you, Kairi Dismuke," he said, his voice cracking slightly, "I know that we're only now starting off serious, and this is jumping much faster than either of us agreed on, but I am so in love with you. Every moment I've shared with you up until now has just...I wouldn't share them with anyone else." He looked away, "I know this...it makes things more complicated, my jumping forward like this..."
Sota shut his eyes, shaking his head, "No, I want to...I really want to tell you, but," he opened his eyes, looking straight ahead, taking deep breaths. Finally, he looked into her eyes again, "Kairi, if I tell you this...will you be completely honest with me? If it's too soon, if it's too much, you don't know, completely honest?"
Sota gulped again, closing his eyes. He was just too ashamed to admit this. "There's something I wanted to tell you earlier," he started, still flying straight, "but after the fan club interrupted, I started thinking," they were starting to see more trees, "...we've become fairly close, now, and I like where we are. The thing is," he opened his eyes, and looked into hers. He was scared to death, "...if I tell you this, there's a good chance I may spook you. My telling you this...well, it risks what we have, and I really don't want to..." Blast it, why was it so hard to find the right words for not wanting to lose her?
Sota gulped a little, "Kairi?"
Sota nodded, "Okay," he scooped up Kairi, and flew high in the sky almost at cloud level. They rode the air currents that flowed away from the city, towards the forest. Sota, however, fell silent. Dark noticed something was up, "I don't think she'd object to you telling her, Sota," he said, "After all this, she wouldn't leave."
Sota quickly got the picnic basket he prepared, grabbed his backpack, and another bag. He attached his two bags together, slung them over his shoulder, and went back out to meet Kairi. "Ready to go?" he smiled, "The fan club went towards the city, and where we're going is in the opposite direction, so we don't really have to worry about them following us."
"Okay," Sota smiled. He scooped up Kairi, as With became his wings, "Hold on!" He jumped, and flew himself and Kairi to the balcony of his apartment across the street. Once there, he landed, gently put Kairi down, and opened the glass door inside, "I'll be a moment. You can come inside, if you'd like."
"Yeah," smiled Sota, as he hugged Kairi, "They're heading towards the city," He looked into her eyes, "I've got to pick up some things in my apartment, first, before we can go. Do you mind a quick stop there, before we head off?"
Dark silently and stealthly flew overhead, and quietly landed behind behind the fan club. He looked in their direction, from behind, and whispered, "What are we looking at?" "Shh!" said one of the girls, but didn't turn around, "We're trying to see if one of the girls is going to go out with this bad guy. If she is, we'll follow them and break them up!" Dark looked dramatically worried, "Oh dear! Surely not! But, is this all you do?" The girl shook her head, still not turning around, "No, we're also the 'Dark Mousy Fan Club'. If we hear about his next appearance, we scout out locations to see him." Dark nodded his head, smiling, and spoke a little louder, "Wow. I had no idea you were such fans of my work." A few of the girls turned around and gasped. A couple of them tapped the shoulders of the other girls, and soon all were staring, open jawed, at Dark. Dark winked, "Hi there." He then quickly jumped and flew off into the air, towards the city, but a little slowly. The girls shrieked and chased after him... Dark popped out of the bushes after the girls were some distance away. The 'fake Dark' they were chasing would lead them away for hours. He smiled, then quickly flew off to meet with Kairi. He landed on her balcony, and transformed back into Sota. Sota gently knocked on the glass door of her balcony.
Then I believe we should assume that the work is officially done.
Huh...ok, I still don't get it; not what twitter is, just why they decide to do it.
What exactly is twittering? It sounds a lot like texting to me; what's the difference?
