Anthea followed behind until they reached the top of the stair case where they found Kellan. She averted her eyes when she noticed the dead bodies that lay around him. Things got even worse when he decided that it would be a grand idea to comment on the condition that she was in. Anthea didn't even notice as she took a step back from them, her eyes to the floor. She didn't think that she looked like she was in that horrible state as he seemed to say she was in. She didn't respond to what was being said, she would just follow. That was all she was good at after all, and even then she seemed to be in bad shape for it. "Please I don't want to fight again." Anthea spoke up quietly from the back. She had enough of the blood around her she didn't want to see it anymore. It was making her uneasy and though the request probably made her seem weak, she had to face that fact because it was rather that than her puking. "Then who would be calling you a fool. Who would be turning Shadowweaver against us. It was your voice I heard. So tell me, how do we know that you aren't leading us into a trap. That spider nearly killed me and it was because someone with your voice spoke to it upsetting it. So tell me, why should I trust you?" Laurentinus asked getting incredibly tense. He glared at Rayyad waiting to see how he would talk himself out of it. He didn't give a damn what the others thought about him right now. He wanted answers.
"Well well aren't we grumpy. I suppose if we are just sitting here doing nothing, I will take a nap." Rose stated as she leaned her head against the wall and shut her eyes, letting the sound of battle lull her to sleep. She nearly had fallen asleep as well when the door to her transport vehicle opened and a friendly face appeared. The shots started to fire at Ana and Rose couldn't do anything to stop them. She could only sit there and watch. It was kind of funny to watch how she stopped the bullets, however that didn't mean that Ana got out unscathed. A smirk spread to Rose's face as she watched Ana take out the guards. "And you really thought you could get away with holding me here didn't you. Think again." Rose told the guards. If their attention was on her for that split second of time, it would be enough for Ana to take out the rest of the guards. It was clear the girl would only hold up for so much longer, then chances are that she would pass out. The injuries she had sustained seemed pretty major and she was showing at least if not more skin than Rose herself through torn clothing. And though she was thankful to see Ana, she wasn't going to say as much. She showed signs of entertainment from Ana's murder spree but no gratitude. That would be like an open invitation for the girl to try to make friends with her, something Rose did not want.
Her breath caught in her throat when she heard what King Archon had to say. They were killing dopplers, innocent dopplers because of something that happened in another city entirely. Matilda made sure to hide Gregory's eye so he didn't see the deaths. A tear came to Matilda's eyes as she watched the scene herself. She had to find Talon and they had to do something. They had to help dopplers out of here. This was ridiculous, the masses shouldn't have to pay for the actions of a small group. They had smuggled dopplers out before, they could do it again. She just needed to find her brother, he would know how to deal with it, wherever he was. Seth winced as the announcement. Sadly he was used to the cruel nature of the world, this didn't effect him like it effected Tessa. "Tessa don't look. Please don't look." Seth mumbled to the girl, but it was too late. She was watching as a noose was up over each persons neck and they were soon hung. He felt his grip on Tessa's hand slip as she started to run. "Tessa wait!" Seth called after her. He soon found himself pushing his way though the crowd in desperate pursuit of Tessa. By the time he had caught up to her another man was at her side. They seemed in a tense situation but nothing so tense he feared for Tessa's life. "Tessa, don't run off like that, not here." He scolded her as he stepped up beside them. He glared at Adolin for a moment before he looked back at Tessa. "We won't be safe here much longer, not if people noticed the outburst and start questioning it. It is better not to take risks. Please lets find Matilda and get out of here." He asked Tessa, keeping her voice low and gentle as he did.
"Felicia." The werewolf responded in a rather uninterested tone. She glanced around at her pack and Rhetts, they seemed to be doing fine together, that was helpful at least. She noted as there was a whistle and some of the wolves left, leaving a little more space to breath in the entry way. She looked at Creed then back at her knife as she examined the blade and checked how sharp it was. "So what is your involvement in all this." She asked trying to be slightly friendly as she waited for Rhett to return like he said he would. She didn't know how long that would take but she didn't care too much. She was willing to wait here if she must. "Oh come now. Don't be like that. You know you love having the demon blood in you. Who wants to be all perfect all the time anyways, breaking the rules is a lot more fun." Slavko taunted the good Doctor before letting himself be escorted from the cell. "So don't you think this is a little sudden for a date? I mean I know everyone wants to be with me but you can't just drag a guy from his cell for a date without at least speaking to him first. I get it you are trying to be the silent sexy type, and it is kind of working too, but I like my ladies to have some fight to them after all." Slavko flashed the woman a cheeky smile. He would break them and make them kill him, it was just a matter of time and this was the first step towards it.
Dancing and twirling Aislinn was taking out heartless after heartless though she began to tire after a while. Even so she kept her head high as she moved with grace. A dark ball thought it smart to come too close to her and paid the price for such mistakes. From there Aislinn continued to slash her way through the heartless taking out one shadow and it's injured friend along the way. Heartless Kill Grand Total: Shadow: 148 Dark Ball: 20 Total Experience Gained Veera: 775 EXP (55 Shadows, 5 Dark Ball) Xara: 800 EXP (53 Shadows, 6 Dark Ball) Aislinn: 775 EXP (7 Dark Ball, 46 Shadows)
Keenan sighed and scratched the back of his head. It must be that time of the month for her then. She would barely acknowledge him as a fellow witcher, much less the family he thought that they had grown to become. He wasn't going to push the matter any further or ask any more questions about what was going on, because clearly him touching her was a far bigger deal then anything going on while he was away. What could he do? He would simply talk to Veceslav about it as soon as the mountain pass was more clear. He was pretty sure the old man would be wintering there like he did quite often. Keenan stopped beside Veera as they entered the silent town. Death, it smelled like death and looked as though at some point people tried to struggle. An entire town and no one was here. By the look on Veera's face, Keenan could venture a guess that she knew more about what was going on than he did, but he feared to ask about it. It wasn't like she was telling him anything else. His hand moved toward his shoulder getting ready to reach over and draw a blade, silver, just in case. He kept his steps silent as he followed Veera, glancing back only once to see if Kruez followed. Talon instantly stiffened when Xross mentioned people he cared for. Did he know about his siblings? Was he planning to torment them as well? Or perhaps it was just a guess, a shot in the dark as it was. Talon forced his shoulders to loosen. "Or perhaps I am a Lord belonging to a powerful family and I have work and responsibilities that have to be taken care of rather than just dying. I am not one to take the chicken way out anyways." Talon replied. He was tired of all this banter and just hoped that his sister would find him soon. He was sure she would have something to stop the pain in his shoulder and the throbbing headache courtesy of Xross. "It is probably better you haven't seen the king. These speeches get so dull after a while. Though you are right, it probably isn't a good thing. Archon never makes a speech just for the sake of it and I don't trust that there is much good in him for the speech to be about something good. Though he is our king so we have to at least pretend to respect him." Seth said after Tessa stopped trying to attack him. He reached down and intertwined his fingers with her. "Whatever he does say up there though, remember, I am right here beside you." He spoke softly. Terra nodded, it was a promise built on a lie though. Her back was already acting up. She wasn't about to tell him that though, the idea of sitting indoors bothered her. She didn't like just sitting. She would take this chance to walk while she still could since it was there. She would regret it later, she knew that much, However there was so much in her life that she already regretted, what was one more thing, this one minuscule in comparison. Terra glanced over at Sweallow for a moment, wondering if he would still be helping her if he knew her past. She couldn't risk telling him though, but the thought just crossed her mind as they walked. "What a lovely day." Her tone was almost nervous as she forced her mind away from where it had been going onto another pointless conversation topic with Sweallow.
Don't scratch the paint,. Like she would be that clumsy to do such a thing. Currently there was few things to scratch the paint on. It would be a near impossible task to accomplish if she wanted to. Yvette didn't let the frustration get the better of her though, she just learned to pass things like that off and keep going. It was a trick she had to learn young given her role in society back home. There was plenty of things that bothered her that she couldn't let it show. The main thing was simply the attention. She hated it and it frustrated her to no end some days, but it was not proper of a lady to tell everyone to go away, so she didn't. At least, as it seemed, the skill would be put to use here, there was no wasting what she learned back home. Yvette kept quiet and to herself as she piloted the ship and made sure it stayed on the course that she had set. It wasn't a particularly hard task but that didn't mean that she could get lazy. If something went wrong or an unexpected object came their way, Yvette would have to get them out of danger. She couldn't slack when she had such an important job. She kept vigilant as she went though part of her still wished to be out flying on her own wings and not locked in here. Still this was better than nothing.
"Ah Roxi! She was so much fun to play with." Slavko looked like he was beaming with joy just to be able to share what he did to her, how he managed to break her so. "You know Nephilim are not all that hard to break, you just need to find their weakness and then they are no better than humans, but much more fun. Her's was pretty obvious from the start when I picked her as my next victim. She was way too attacked to people. She didn't care for herself or her own safety, it was always about someone else you see. That made things quite easy indeed." Slavko reminisced. While the good doctor only asked for his connection with her, Slavko couldn't pass up the opportunity for a full out explanation. He wanted to see what they thought of it and he wanted to bask in his triumph. "So after I discovered her weakness I spent weeks watching her from the shadows to discover exactly how to torment her. It turns out she had a very sweet and handsome young man as a boyfriend. I made sure to watch him know everything about him, all his mannerisms and speech patterns. Mostly just how he acted around poor sweet Roxi. After that I possessed him, and became him. I played the part for a good week before I let her in on the fact that I wasn't her boyfriend. I tormented her while using his body until she was forced to kill be, and kill the body of the man I had taken over. That was fun and all, but her family supported her and helped her through the tough time. I couldn't let them ruin my good fun so they died at my hand. All except the baby. Though I did hear that they took that away from her, fearing she was not mentally stable enough to take care of a child. I thought my job was done. I had moved onto other people, but then I heard that she was starting to get better again, nor overwhelmed with depression anymore. Again I could not let that happen. It turns out she had been dating someone. I ended up doing the same thing I did with her last boyfriend. I studied him. Not long after he proposed to her and they moved in together I took over the man. He had a fighting spirit, I will tell you that. I found it difficult to snuff it out, but I did. After that I once again revealed my nature and taunted Roxanne until she at last killed me. The moment she went to kill me I saw something change in her eye. She at long last completely snapped. I had won. Ever since then I don't actively pursue her, though I do come across her on occasion and you can't pass up a man and his fun." Slavko explained his victory to them with a smile on his face. He was quite satisfied with his work after all.
Student? Classroom? It didn't sound like Roric fully understood how everything was working. That being said Anthea figured that it was better to leave him oblivious to her situation, after all she wasn't a fan of sharing her situation in the first place. "Right... Well I am not entirely sure if I want to learn much in the field, but it wouldn't hurt I guess." She responded, trying to not seem like she was lying, or more so with holding information. Thankfully soon after Aston announced that they should probably head in and follow Kellan. Thankful for an excuse to stop talking about herself, Anthea nodded as she was ready to go. However Roric's words made her hesitate entering the cave. She didn't really have much choice in the matter but she still questioned its safety. However she hadn't heard Kellan yell as he fell through a hole in the ground yet, and she was pretty convinced he wouldn't care to watch his step, so chances where, like Roric said, this was more stable. That didn't stop Anthea from sticking close behind Roric where she felt slightly safer. As they arrived Sebastian listened to the conversation between Ulrich and Chuck before Ulrich turned and asked him what he could do. He didn't have ranged weapons but they could use drawing them out. "Well what I got are these." Sebastian stated as he held up a matching set of cavalry blades. "But I say we need to draw then out, it is kinda hard to fight on horseback in an enclosed area. So throw a stone, or act as human bate and run in there before leading them to me. I don't much care how we do it, but lets get them out here to fight and then we can have a little fun." Sebastian responded as he twirled one of his blades in his hand, waiting for Ulrich to do what he must in order to start the battle.
"I will make you a deal. When this is all over we will have a duel. Whoever wins is the Alpha, the other the beta. Fair way to decide it I would say." Felicia replied To Rhett joking about being the Alpha. She wasn't going to give up her spot easily but if this is what it took to build the pack to it's former glory, she supposed she could live with disappointing her master who was no longer around to judge anyhow. Rhett went on to explain the situation and Felicia listened intently. So the world had officially completely gone to hell had it? It was a long time coming, but she didn't expect it so soon after coming out of hiding. "If that is the case then I would say you guys could use as much help as you could get, and I would rather make allies and not enemies. I will give you a hand in whatever way I could, for everyone's sake." Felicia replied to Rhett once again. She listened to the rest of what he had to say before she watched him walk away, turning her attention now to Althelrick. But not before shouting her name after Rhett. "Thanks." Felicia took the offered piece of liverwurst and started eating it. "Well currently he has no proof from what I can tell that you are here. But when he finds out then I am sure you can take care of yourself." She replied. She didn't really know this shadow hunter, and thus didn't overly care what happened to him for the most part. Still part of her wanted to do her part in keeping him as safe as she could without stepping between him and a bullet. "What will I do now? I don't know, wait for Rhett, leave and then find a way to keep the downworlders safe from the wrath of the Seelie Queen and the Clave. Don't think I will be staying completely out of this mess. I don't think any of us can afford to stay out of it, if we do then the world might just go to hell. Stick together and we may have a chance at stopping it. However we will see how that goes." Felicia replied running her fingers though her hair. It was true, this was a mess, a mess she didn't know if she was the best equipped to deal with. She would see what she was able to do though, she could just sit and watch as the world went to hell after all. It was then that the other man in the room decided to speak up and talk with her. His question was an odd one but she supposed she should answer. "If you mean how long I have been hanging around the institute, only a few hours. Though if you are asking about New York in general, my entire bloody life." She responded. The question was useless at best but it didn't matter too much, just all friendly banter that might help them all feel better. She would play along if she must. Roxanne had taken a seat in the room on one of the chairs and waited. She simply sat in silence and waited because there was nothing else that she could do. She listened as Corvo listed off what he needed still holding on to the notion that maybe he wouldn't go through with killing Brianne. She was listening to the conversation before the words she dreaded hearing came up again. He was ordered to kill Brianne. She could feel a nervous shake hit her body as her phone slid from her hands and hit the floor. While Corvo yelled at the mirror, at Yorick looking for answers, Roxanne simply let the state of panic overcome her. There was no use fighting it anymore. Yorick had received reports of the conversation with the Seelie Queen. This probably also meant that he had heard word of her crimes. Surely when Brianne was dealt with he would want her taken out as well. Why would he want to keep her around, especially when she couldn't control her mental state well enough to keep control and not break the Accords. Roxanne covered her face as panic wrapped itself around her mind and froze her body in place. She couldn't loose anyone else, and she couldn't be a part of helping kill her. "Please." She was almost surprised when her voice came out a sob. "Don't hurt her! You promised not to! Hand me back to the Queen if you want! Just don't hurt my friend." Roxanne begged. Brianne, Nick and Hendrick had become all she had to hold onto and she didn't want to lose any of them. She didn't want to let go that easily. And she defiantly wouldn't have their blood staining her hands. "Please." She begged once more, this time her voice a lot softer as she felt like she was going numb. She didn't move or remove her hands from her face. She simply sat there, shaking as her long hair drifted in front of her hands and face making Roxanne look like as much of a mess as she felt. "Don't know. Don't care." Slavko passed off the question. He didn't really care to get to know any of the other demons truth be told. He found them so dull. He couldn't play with their emotions in the way that he liked to, so he never interacted with them unless he had to. The worst part of them catching him and questioning him so far is that they seemed only interested in other demons. That almost wounded his pride a little. They could at least worry a little about what he was doing. Was that so hard?
Keenan took the punch pretty well and slightly chuckled a little. "Well good to see that you haven't changed one bit." He replied to Veera. He had expected her to try to hurt him for ruffling her hair and was prepared to take it as long as she didn't try and kill him. Though what he didn't expect was Veera to take off running away from him. "Well I guess we should go get her." Keenan said to Kruez before he took off running. "Veera wait up. I didn't mean to offend you. I thought you would be used to me doing that by now." He called out after her as he started to catch up. As he got closer he looked at her with a more serious look. "Veera, what is wrong? Did something happen to do with whatever happened in Oxenfurt? Is it something else? I know I am not around a lot but talk to me Veera, please." He asked of the girl keeping a more respectful distance. He began to wonder exactly what he missed while out on his most recent journey. "It was not an invitation." Talon gritted his teeth but instead of doing anything irrational he simply leaned his head against the post and closed his eyes for a moment. "What can I do for you to leave me alone?" He asked his voice sounding more tired then anything else at the moment. And he was tired, the pain in his shoulder had kept him up all night in the damp prison. He was just hoping Matilda got his note and was on her way. Perhaps then she could fix his shoulder and they could lay low in an inn for a little while until he could figure out what to do. "Tessa wait!" Matilda tried to call out to the young woman, but she was already disappearing into the crowd. Scooping Gregory up in her arms, she tried to follow Tessa through the crowds, but it was getting harder to see where the woman was going. Matilda did her best to push her way though the crowd and eventually gave up catching up to her friend, when she had found out the source of the sound and the people who were standing and waiting for the King's speech. Matilda took her place among the crowd to listen to what was going on, figuring that she could find Tessa easier when the speech was finished and the crowd dispersed. There was little doubt in Matilda's mind that this was where Tessa was heading for and had ended up. Such a big crowd always drew the attention of people straying around. Tessa was likely no exception. Seth only shook his head when Tessa ran off. The girl didn't understand how not smart that was in this city. It was different than Oxenfurt, the people were different. But still what could he do but follow. He chose to force his way through the crowd and catch up to Tessa over worry about Matilda for the time being. He was sure the young woman was fine, she had lived here most of her life it seemed, Tessa however had not. When he finally caught up to her, he considered lecturing her on how stupid it was to run off, but changed his mind. He instead just put a hand on her shoulder. "There you are. You really tried to make it hard for me to find you didn't you? Slipping through the crowds like that." He said as he took his place beside her. "Is this the first time seeing the King?" He asked Tessa. "Well that was fun, even if the store owner hates me now. It isn't like she will have to deal with me much more though. So I suppose it is time to just go sit inside again for the rest of the day." There was a tone of disappointment in Terra's voice. However on the other hand her back was killing her and she knew she shouldn't be walking around much longer. She did her best to hide the pain as they left the store. She knew that if the people who attacked her found her now, they would win. She would have to rest and get better if she wanted to survive, she just didn't want to. There had to be something more she could do. There had to be something better that she could be doing with her time. Even once she escaped this she didn't know what to do with herself. Her life had been build around the orphanage, Eric's orphanage. Without it to keep her busy, or Eric to guide her, she didn't know what to do. Perhaps she was more suited to the life that she lived before, not this life. Annabelle was stopped in the hallway by Violet and the young princess stopped to greet the woman before answering again. "I was going to find Archon. I wanted to see if he had a lesson for me today, or something to do. I am bored with just playing." She explained. She was not used to just sitting around. When with her parents she helped on the farm so they could stay warm and fed. When she was with Yana she was never allowed a break or time to rest. And now she was here with plenty of free time and was not sure what to do with herself.
Well at least someone was at lest trying to understand what was going on and asking about it. Even better Athelrick had shown his face once more and helped take his share of the blame and offered to take care of the problem with this Inquisitor. Well that was good thing but she still figured she should explain to the other alpha what was going on. "The reason I need to be here is because Clarity came here for a job to reunite him" She indicated to Athelrick "with his friend. She snuck into the building while I made a distraction. After we got his friend out someone came into the room and was shooting at Clarity so I went in while everyone else left her. It was the damn inquisitor and he was torturing her for information on who hired her. To keep her safe and him safe I told the inquisitor I hired her to help me take this place as my own. I had enough werewolves coming to scare him away. So where the fact I need to be here comes into play is that as long as the inquisitor sees that this place is run by werewolves he won't pursue and try to question Clarity again any time soon, at least until he deals with me. This keeps both of them safe until I can get a pack together to take care of him. If I leave I can't fortify my current hide out as well as I can here. I can be more prepared and keep them all safer here, if I have to leave though I will, as long as we can make sure the inquisitor doesn't come back for Athelrick and Clarity. I am too far involved in this mess to just walk away completely though." Felicia finally finished her explanation and let out a long sigh. She just hoped that he would understand it. There was also talk of working together with his band of werewolves. "I would be willing to consider it if someone bothered to explain exactly what this thing is. I will work with you if you tell me what is going on. If not, why should I bother. And perhaps you would be willing to make more permanent arrangements. Combine our packs and I would make you beta. Though you don't have to take my offer at least consider it. We could make a great team if you allow it." Felicia offered in a more friendly tone than she had been talking to most others. Perhaps that was because Rhett was the only one that bothered to be friendly towards her. Roxanne kept her head low as she followed Corvo out. She did as he asked and gave him her phone number and soon after read the text that he had sent her. She looked at it and then back up at Corvo giving him a slight nod. She didn't know what to think of everything now. The Queen told Corvo to kill Brianne and he agreed. Roxanne didn't want to get involved in this but now she had no choice not only was Corvo holding her crimes over her head, but now The Seelie Queen was threatening her life as well. She didn't have much choice of what she would do and get involved in, but she wished she did. The worst part of this was that he asked her to trust him. How could she trust him? He had given her no reason to trust him. He had kidnapped her, hurt her, promised to help her friend, then promised to kill the same person. Now he wanted her to trust him. She didn't know what to do. She wasn't left with much choice though. She had to at least stick with him for the time being. "Okay." Was all Roxanne could manage to respond as she followed Corvo. She kept her phone clutched tight in hand. Part of her wanted to text Brianne, but part of her feared the consequences. Slavko rolled his eyes at the so called Black Knight entered the cell. She drew a rune on him that he could feel the effect but it didn't bother him too much. Even still he supposed he could give up his mission. It wasn't that big of a deal, no information he was sure they didn't already know. "My mission is the same old boring thing that most higher demons have. Bring the world to it's knees under the control of demons through force and destruction. Same it has been for centuries, and same as it will be until it comes to pass. Though I am sure you already know this. I mean after all you do have an expert demon hunter." Slavko's tone was almost mocking as he spoke to them. Though the information was true and about all they would get from him until they learned to ask the right questions, which he doubted they ever would.
As he continued down his path towards Oxenfurt Keenan caught sight of two individuals walking towards him. As they got closer he recognized one of the people in the road in front of him. Approaching them he stopped his horse and dismounted. "Well if it isn't my little sister. How are you Veer?" Keenan said as he reached up and ruffled the hair of the woman who stood in front of him. Though after the friendly greeting, Keenan's face turned more serious. "I heard that something happened in Oxenfurt, a war of some sort. I was on my way to check it out. Was anyone lost in it?" Asking if anyone was hurt was a unless notion. Witchers were often hurt but they often recovered quickly. That was not what he was worried about. Keenan sighed before glancing at the person that Veera was traveling with. "Keenan Satoh, I am like Veera's older brother. Your name is?" He asked the man. It wasn't that he didn't trust this person but he wanted to know who he was dealing with. The witcher adjusted his bow on his shoulder as he spoke. He wasn't much for hand shakes, but he would at least introduce himself. He then turned back to Veera once more. "Mind more company on your next job? Always like to see how you kids grow while I am away." With the dagger bought and strapped on, Seth took Tessa's hand in his once more as she lead him out of the shop and back to where Matilda and Gregory waited for them. He stayed quiet and let the girls do the talking as worry played in his mind. Worry about how everything might work out for them. Worry about what would become of Matilda and Greg if they didn't find her brother. And most of all worry about if they found Talon in trouble, what might happen to Tessa. It was too late to change their minds on helping now, but he still worried. "I don't know. Perhaps we can start by checking around the bar he went to. He usually goes to the same one." Matilda suggested. She hated being anywhere near that bar, it was in a more rough part of town, but it was a starting place. "Then again he always left cloaked, like he didn't want to be recognized so I don't think anyone would be able to tell us much. Still I suppose it is worth a try." Matilda informed as she took Greg's hand and started to lead him down the street. She knew that she didn't dare take him into the bar itself, but perhaps Tessa would wait outside with him while she asked questions. Though they could figure that out when they get there. Now it was just the task of getting there. She knew the way, it was just a task of avoiding males that would rather like to take advantage of a young noble girl wandering the streets in a part of town she shouldn't be. Though they did have Seth with them, hopefully he would help scare people off if need be.
The journey home was always long, and in the end it was not even the right season to be heading all the way home. Usually Keenan would avoid returning to the northern realms until the winter season had passed. Even he knew better than to travel the mountain path to Kaer in the middle of winter. However what brought him back towards his home was not a friendly visit to Kaer Morhiem. Keenan had heard rumour of something happening in Oxenfurt, something major and dangerous. This is was had set Keenan on the long trip back home. Though the trip was long Keenan kept his focus as he rode his horse on the long winding path leading towards Oxenfurt. He was still miles out and knew that the time it took him to get there, it would be too late to help whatever situation had befallen the city. That being said he wasn't here to make sure the city had survived. He was here to make sure that his brothers and sisters had. He knew that not all chose to winter in Kaer and would rather look for work. Those who did winter there were sure to be safe. Every time he stopped for a bite to eat or a drink, Keenan listened for more information on what happened, but more than that, any talk of witchers being there and what might have happened to them. Most times Witchers were near impossible to keep track of where they were and were they would head, but that wouldn't stop Keenan from trying to figure it out. He might have chose to work outside the area that most witchers of the wolf school would look for work, but even from a distance he had there backs, and visited at least once a year, taking the time to track each person he trained down and see how they improved. Unfortunately few that trained him or were around when he first got brought to Kaer, still were around, but he still had the young ones he helped with. "I might not be able to fight you in this shape, but I can make damn well sure if they find and arrest me again, that you will get arrested also and executed right beside me. After all you would have been caught conversing with a doppler sympathizer twice, it is not a far stretch to make you seem like one as well." Talon replied. If he was executed, along with a partner in crime, there was little chance that the guards would also go after his family as well . If he were to die, he would take this d*uche with him and make sure his family stayed out of anything else. "So any other sarcastic remarks. Or are you going to leave me alone now." Talon asked Xross. Swaellow agreed to let her explain some of what they were looking at, so she started with the object in her hand, explaining what it was, what some of it's uses were and so on. From there she began to pace the room pointing out other equipment and ingredients and explaining similar things. She didn't explain the bare basics because she figured he would have some knowledge on those, but those things that were slightly more advanced. Even Terra didn't know everything that there was to know, but she knew enough to make good conversation out of it. Terra forced herself to ignore some rather unwelcome glares from the owner while she rattled on. When she finished her explanations she turned back to Sweallow. "Perhaps we should go. I get the feeling we have overstayed our welcome." She explained.
The man said he would join them but to Anthea he didn't seem too convinced about it, perhaps it was because of the fact he didn't really know them and they were all kind of strange. "There are more of us too, we split off into three groups. Don't worry though, the others for the most part seem more... normal then these guys." Anthea explained trying to make this situation sound less weird than it felt. The topic quickly shifted to the thugs and soon after that. Since there was little to reply on the topic of the thugs, that just left Anthea to talk about herself, something she would have rather avoided. She didn't really want everyone to know that she was a servant sent here by her master. It made her sound weak and beneath them once more. She didn't know if everyone would take it that way, but in her mind it would. That being said it was hard to avoid telling unless she avoided Roric's question all together, which was rude. "I uh... My master trained me in my powers so I could fight if need be, or use them for other things, but I never had to hurt anyone with them before... And well... eh... he is the one that ordered me to be here." Anthea explained, wincing slightly. She didn't know what Roric would think of it or interpret it. She had not exactly explained things in the most clear of ways. Anthea readjusted her grip on the staff she held in front of her as a nervous habit while waiting to hear what Roric thought of what she said. Laurentinus was glad that Kara explained the situation so he didn't have to. However when she got to the part about the voice, something clicked in Ren's mind. The voice that echoed through the here that sent Shadowweaver into a fit, it was the same voice that this man had. What didn't make sense however was the fact that the voice had referred to Rayyad as a fool. Why would the voice refer to himself? "Who else is in this town Rayyad? Do you have family here, or is it as abandoned as it looks?" Laurentinus questioned, his voice slightly irritated. If perhaps Rayyad had a father in the town then perhaps that could be why the voices sounded similar and the voice referred to someone named Rayyad. However if he claimed no one else was there, then it seemed that this man might be a bad person after all, despite what Tessa and Conrad said.
Username: Aelin Fireheart Character Name: Keenan Satoh Age: 60 Gender: Male Race: Witcher Appearance: ♂ Bio: Keenan grew up at Kaer, taken there after his families farm house was attacked and both parents died trying to defend him. A witcher had stepped in and took out the monster that had attacked the home and took him back to Kaer, whether as a sort of payment for his service, or just to give him a chance at living when he was left with no one to take care of him, the witcher never said. Greatful for the protection Keenan trained hard to become a witcher. Everytime he saw someone fail, someone not come back from a trial or a mission, it didn't scare him as much as it should, instead giving him more reason to fight. The boy knew that he would have to be strong in order to survive, so he did his best to be just that. He was successful in becoming a withcher in the end and took off on his own soon after, however Keenan always found himself back at Kaer each time a new child arrived. He stayed for a season and helped with the training before leaving again. Keenan was not from the area originally so he often found himself back closer to his original home near Flatsam. He found himself helping Elves and dwarves as much as humans when looking for work due to the areas he found himself in. He really didn't mind the creatures others called freaks and actually befriended several of them. Given that when he left Kear he was gone for months at a time, sometimes up to a year. However when he returned he always sought out all those witchers that he helped train, or trained with. And he never passed up the opportunity to talk with an old mentor. Occupation: Witcher Weapons : Silver and Steel sword Secondary Weapon : Long bow Powers : N/A Other: Witchers that he would know: Veera, Derrick, Veceslav, Aaron, Olivia
Time seemed to be moving as slow as her action's as Tatiana practiced everything she was shown. She was taking her time to make sure every movement was done right, and by doing this it felt like she was moving at a snails pace. That being said she would rather that and do it right, then learn how to do it wrong but fast. She would get to that point eventually, all it took was practice, and she planned to do just that every spare moment she had. Tatiana was in silent concentration and didn't notice how eerily calm everything seemed until the ground started to rumble slightly. She stopped what she was doing to look at Veceslav for help, but there was no help to be had. It felt like the world around her was moving in slow motion as a great force rippled through the air. Tatiana's eyes were wide as the force hit her. She didn't even have time to gasp for a breath or say a word. Just the force itself was enough to break bones, enough to kill the woman who had no strength or muscle to speak of at the moment. There was nothing to protect her from the blast. The pain was short lived thankfully. The world collapsed into darkness quick enough. It seemed that she was going to visit her mother and brother sooner than she expected. Heat kissed her skin but she barely felt it as her soul left her broken and bloodied body. This worst part about this kind of death is she didn't understand what happened to kill her. Her last breath was shallow and blood left her mouth at the same time. A shard of her own crushed bone had pierced her lungs it seemed. Not that what injuries she sustained mattered, everything had faded by this point. She was dead before her body hit the ground, though her spirit lingered just a moment longer, almost trying to understand what had happened before it too left to go be with the spirit of those she loved, forgetting the world that she left behind since there was no one there to remember her either. "Alright, so how is tonight? Is it a date?" He responded to Tessa. He was planning to take her out to dinner when it was all over anyways. He didn't expect things to go as far as his joke suggested, but he would take it all in stride. He was not going to completely write off the possibility if she wanted it, but he was not going to push for it, not after everything that had happened. Taking the dagger from Tessa he examined it and tested it's weight, it seemed well made. "Well it looks good to me. It is a good blade and that tree on it definitely suites you. I say, if you like it, go for it." Seth told her. He didn't know a whole lot about blades, but he knew enough to know when she was going to be talked into a sham of a blade, and that blade was not a sham, thankfully. That was good, she should be able to protect herself with that blade. Now all she had to do was pay. While Seth and Tessa were in the blacksmith looking at daggers, Matilda remained outside with Gregory, her fingers constantly running through her hair. "Tilly why are you doing that? You are messing up your hair." Gregory stated from beside her, causing Matilda to stop what she was doing. Her own worry was now effecting Greg. "It is just a nervous habit, don't worry about it Greg." She replied ruffling the boys hair, much to his dislike. "Talon isn't coming back, is he? That is why you are so nervous isn't it? That was why you were crying." Tears started to come to Greg's eyes as he spoke, now trying to understand the conversation. "No, no that isn't it. Hush now. I am nervous because I don't know where he is, but we are going to find him okay? He probably just got himself in a little trouble and needs us to rescue him. We will be his hero's okay? Can you do that for me Greg, be strong so we can be his hero?" Matilda asked as she knelt down to be on the same level as Greg. She wiped a tear from his face with her finger before placing her hands on his shoulder. "For once we will protect him instead of him protecting us, okay?" She told the boy once more.
Anthea was almost surprised when the man came over to her and offered her a hand up. While most would figure that to be pretty common courtesy when you helped them out of a tight spot, Anthea still wasn't used to anyone paying her much mind most of the time. Still she took the man's hand and got to her feet as he introduced himself. "Thank you." Anthea responded before introducing herself. "My name is Anthea." She introduced in a shy voice. While Roric looked around at the grounds around them, Anthea refused to. She didn't want to see the death they caused. She didn't want to see all the blood. And most of all she didn't want to get sick on this nice man who stood before her. Instead she chose to focus on whatever he was saying. When Anthea looked up to face him properly to reply, she realized how small she felt. While she was short and thin, not much to her, Roric was tall with broad shoulders. He made her feel so much smaller than she was for a moment, but that didn't stop her from talking. Aston said she had to be more confident, talk more, so she would at least try. "Well we are a group of adventurers but we look to eventually explore the outside world. We are here almost as training to see if we can handle it. We were going to go somewhere else but that guy" Anthea motioned to Kellan "convinced us to come here instead. It turns out he has some bad blood with those thugs and their leader creating more problems then first though. The saving people part is just something I-er- we choose to do when someone is in need." As much as Anthea almost took credit for it, given she was generally the first to run in and help, the others ended up being stronger and more helpful than her making it not fair to take credit to herself. "Perhaps you would like to join us." Anthea offered. It wasn't really her place to offer, but compared to most other people here with her, this man made her feel the most comfortable and she didn't want him to leave her alone with these people again. Last time she had a conversation with someone that was not Aston, it made her want to run and hide. It freaked her out. This person at least seemed somewhat normal. Laurentinus listened to Conrad explain what had happened with them. As he listened Alice walked up and took his arm. He winced at the pain as she did. Water was soon poured on it however then it started to heal, the pain finally easing. When Alice was done he began to rub his hands together trying to get the blood to come off of them the best he could. "So you guys went on a grand adventure with some guy after being kidnapped and left us out of it? We had to put up with our grumpy leader and an idiot trying to help find you." Laurentinus replied with a bit of a laugh. He wasn't mad how things turned out. He was glad they were safe and it lead to a fun adventure for him as well. "Here I was thinking Kara and I had quite the adventure when we stole a horse and went on a search to find you only to be attacked by two spiders, then later befriend another. Wonder if the poor fella is okay." Laurentinus pondered a moment. "I am just glad you lot are alive, but that does leave me to wonder where Shyra and the man who thinks himself such a good city guard are."
Roxanne had expected death, or torment, or something for not agreeing to go along with the Seelie Queen's demands, but nothing came. The Seelie Queen was more focused on Corvo, it was his task it seemed not hers, but she was expected to go along. She had agreed to work with Corvo and now he was her only hope at survival, but the only way she would survive was if he killed Brianne, and Roxanne couldn't let that happen either. The situation was really grim and she had nothing that she was able to do about it. As the Queen finished yelling at Corvo, he told her to get her phone and listen to her message. She knew that he just wanted her to calm down. She would make an effort to, for the sake of she couldn't even function enough to stand at this point, but she didn't even want to. She didn't want to stand up and face the reality she had been forced into. Part of her even thought it was better to die. The problem was, if she died here then there was no way that she would be able to save Brianne. She had to at least try. Roxanne scrounged around on the floor until she found her phone and had it gripped tight in her hand. She slowly worked on getting the message up for herself once again, though her fingers felt clumsy at this point. When she managed to do it she played the message, not just once but three times. By that point her breathing had become normal and she stopped shaking nearly as much. She stared at her phone screen for a moment before she finally put it away. Forcing herself to her feet, she felt unstable at first standing but managed to stay upright. She didn't say a word, fearing that acknowledging the situation would simply set her off again. She had to stay strong, she needed to keep her wits about her long enough to find a way to stop Corvo from going through with the Seelie Queen's plans and to keep herself from dying because of that. Right now however she was unstable and unarmed, there was very little she could do but wait for Corvo to lead her out of here and hope fresh air would clear her head a little bit.
Tatiana did as she was told, jabbing at Vecelsav a couple times only for it to be parried. It wasn't a bad thing that he parried it, but how easily he did, felt a little discouraging. She did suppose she never really used a sword in her life, so she shouldn't feel too bad about failing at it. However all she wanted was to do something right. She wanted to impress Veceslav and do well. She wasn't anything like her brother, but perhaps she could learn, she was going to be a witcher in his place after all. Tatiana didn't say much as they trained. When Veceslav went to show her a different technique, she only sat quietly and nodded as she watched him move. His movements were so gracefully, like it was all just natural for him. It was amazing really, she wanted to learn to fight like that. Witcher or not it would be good for self defense. As instructed Tatiana took it slow practicing what she was shown over and over again. Veceslav didn't need to tell her to do it again, she simply did it on her own, taking it slowly, but trying to get a little faster each time. It was not perfect and it was not fast but slowly she was working on getting there. She would succeed, she was determined to do so. If that meant standing here for hours just practicing that one movement, so be it. Talon had his back pressed to a post of the bridge that he currently hid under, holding his should, when he heard footsteps. Talon slowly looked over, hoping it was Matilda, fearing it was a guard, but much to his dismay it was neither. Instead it was that idiot from the night before who thought it was just a jolly good old time to start bar fights and applaud those who shot him int he shoulder and caused him to be in this much pain. How in the world had he even found him? "Well you couldn't really expect me to rot in a dungeon for the rest of my life. I still have responsibilities." By responsibilities he meant his siblings, but this man didn't need to know that. "If you insist on showing up where ever I am, could you at least do me the honour of telling me your name. You already know mine." Talon stated. He was assuming Xross was listening enough to night before to catch it. "And while you are at it, maybe get better out of view. I don't need another hole through my shoulder, this one is painful enough." Talon stated. The entire situation was irritating and he made no attempt to hide it. "My treating you does not equate to anything to do with this. It was my job I was hired to do. No one asked you to come along and help me find my brother. The least I can do is pay the expenses for it." Matilda insisted. "I don't know if you realized but I don't do this because I need the money. My family is wealthy and powerful. One dagger is barely anything to us in terms of money, so please let me give you the money to pay Sir Sigmund back after we find Talon." Matilda insisted. She didn't know where Tessa thought she was going to get the money anyways. There was no way she would allow the girl to work anytime soon, she was still in rough shape and Matilda still doubted taking her with her now was a good idea, but she had insisted, both of them had. If anything happened then she would at least be able to treat them. That just meant Matilda would not leave either of them. She needed to be around, if they irritated their wounds more... it wasn't something she wanted to let happen. Soon they approached the area with the blacksmith. "He is just up ahead and around the corner. Go pick what you want, I will wait here with Greg. I would rather him not too close to all the sharp objects..." Matilda lowered her voice to a whisper so Greg couldn't hear her as well. "...He is still at the age that he likes to touch everything." She informed them before looking down at Greg who was now walking on his own, holding her hand. Seth didn't want to lie when Tessa hung back to talk to him, but he had to, at least for now. "Nothing, I apparently didn't tuck in the back of my shirt quite right and one of the servants pulled me aside to help fix it. Apparently even the servants of a rich household are picky about how you look. What would you know." Seth lied, hoping Tessa would buy it as he trailed behind Matilda. He slowly reached over and grabbed Tessa's hand as they walked. His grip was firm and he gave her hand a bit of a squeeze as they walked. Leaving the house made him a little nervous after everything in Oxenfurt, but he had to trust it would be okay, and he hoped that Tessa would know that too. In that way she seemed stronger than him. The idea of getting back out in the world after finally finding a little bit of safety didn't bother her like it bothered him. "Well should we see what they have? Just when we find one, don't stick me with it, at least not until I can stick you with mine." Seth told her with a chuckle. A dirty joke to lighten the mood, though it was in poor taste. As much as he wanted to take her to bed, he had been holding off. How much longer that would last he didn't know but he needed to try and jokes like that weren't going to help a thing. But it was too late to take it back now so he hoped that she would see the humour in it instead. Annabelle finally awoke late in the morning. It seemed that no one had come to wake her despite the sun being fairly high in the sky. Perhaps that was because she wasn't needed at all and there was no lessons to be had. She supposed it was good to have the day to herself, not one commanding her to do certain things and depriving her of sleep all the time like her previous caretaker. However without this it left Annabelle a little empty, not sure what to do with herself. She rarely had time to herself that was just quiet. She never had to entertain herself for long, so this was strange to her. Servants brought her breakfast, drew a bath for her and then dressed her so she was ready for the day. When that was all over Annabelle was left standing in her room wondering what to do. Perhaps she would go visit King Archon and see if he had any suggestions. Perhaps he would actually teach her something today without them getting distracted. With that thought in mind, Annabelle started out into the halls, looking for Archon. "Thanks." Terra responded as she took the item from Sweallow. She as slightly ashamed that she needed this much help, she would rather do it all on her own, but there was no hiding the fact that she couldn't do it on her own at this point. Her movements were still and she looked like a mess. Chances were anyone else who saw her already knew that there was something up and it wouldn't be any more odd to see her needing help doing simple tasks. Still it felt pathetic. She wanted to just try and walk it off, but she knew better. She had wrecked her body enough in her younger years doing such things, she didn't need to wreck it more now. Sweallow then mentioned it gave her something to talk to with the owner. A blush crossed her cheeks slightly as she looked away. "I would rather not." She admitted. She was not a huge fan of talking to people unless she had to, but since she was spending so much time with Sweallow, she may as well converse with him. "Do you know much about this stuff, or should I explain it?" Terra then teased him a but to cover her embarrassment.
