The words of Hendrick were gave her little solace, but still that little it did give was better than none. She simply prayed that the words were true and that they wouldn't leave her, Roxanne didn't know if she could handle that. She knew that she was a handful to deal with. She knew that she was annoying and quick tempered at times. That didn't change the fact however that being on her own was possibly the worst thing for her, and after what happened with Corvo, it made her more nervous to go off on her own. She also knew that what Corvo was saying was probably true. She saw that Hestia came and helped everyone, but with Brianne's change she feared that Brianne couldn't or wouldn't come back. She would learn to be a werewolf and join a pack and forget about them, and this was just the first step to it. Worries like this spun through Roxanne's mind as she tried to pull herself together to the best of her ability.

"I am sorry... that I am such a handful I mean. I really do try to control it but everything has been changing and going wrong and that makes it hard. I am sorry. I don't mean to cause issues. I swear." Roxanne mumbled out her apology to the two men that were trying to help them. Hestia and Corvo were right, they did need to find somewhere else to go that would be safer. Corvo had mentioned going to a safe house, but given he was with Tatiana when he got her phone and found out where that was, she was not convinced that The Seelie Queen wouldn't know where it was. "No safe house. But..." Roxanne trailed off for a moment not sure if she wanted to go there. "..My parents wanted to be here among humans to raise my little sister before they were killed. I still technically own the house but I would rather not step foot in it. If need be we could go there, better than staying here." Roxanne was nervous when talking because if they agreed to go, she would have to face a past that she had been running from and face the house her parents were killed in, and the house her sister was taken from her in. She didn't want to be there and feel like she was reliving it, but they were running short on options.

Slavko let out a laugh at the attempt at a threat. "I already told the good doctor this, you people don't scare me. Your threats do not scare me. Nice try though." There was a small grin on Slavko's face as he spoke to Gordon. Though the prospect of tormenting the Nephilim more was fun. "So I get to torment and break another one of those weak fools so they tell me where the sword is? You have yourself a deal, but I will not think of him as a boss. Lets call it colleagues shall we?" His hands slid into his pockets as he started out the door behind Gordon. Once the door was shut behind them and they were on there way to... well wherever they were going, Slavko spoke up once again. "So how should we force the information out of them? Shall we give them false hopes to try and get them to talk, or bribe them perhaps? Should we skip building up any more hopes and dreams and crush what they already have until they and too broken to refuse talking? What will the plan be for those dear Nephilim? I have been here far too long to figure what they are up to right now, but I am sure we can find out, and then figure something out."

There was some sense of hope that people were coming back, but that was crushed by Janus realizing the same thing. Yvette couldn't really be surprised though, it was pretty obvious and now they were being rushed. Yvette couldn't help but wince when Janus turned his attention to Alexei and shot him in the leg. She hoped that he would at least get away and back to Brianne if she was going to be kidnapped, but it seemed that he was remaining there while she was being forced into the shuttle. At least Alexei was left alive with some basic information on what the group taking her was like, what they looked like and their threat level and such. That could be of help... when Brianne could return to them.

Yvette put her hands down at last and holstered her gun. She rotated her shoulders a few times to try to get her blood moving through them properly again before following instructions and boarding the shuttle.
"So would that be a no about being at Uncle Johnny's funeral? Such a shame his death. Well that is all I have for ideas. But would you please hurry it up and figure it out. I would love to rejoin my friends soon." Yvette commented with as innocent of a voice that she could muster.

On the ship the girl quickly took a seat in the pilot seat and began to start up the ship, checking all that she would normally check, but also doing a couple more silent things. For one she sent a distress beacon back to the main ship to let them know that she was in trouble. And the second thing she did was make sure the tracking beacon was on and there was nothing to hinder it going. She needed to make sure the main ship could find her after. However she did this in quick succession with the rest of the start up procedure making it seem like part of it. And then she took off, she didn't want to but she had to keep her calm and keep them distracted and hope that she could soon get back to the main ship. They couldn't really stop her from going there, but unless the main ship was prepared for it, she would be bringing eight enemies on board that could harm them. That wasn't an option. So unless she got some sort of signal that they were ready for trouble, she would have to follow
Janus' orders for now. Just to keep herself alive.

Okay, that hurt, but at least she was now back on her feet. Karina hated it when she passed out, but as long as she didn't miss the end of the fight she was fine. Rotating her shoulders to get circulation through them properly again, Karina got ready to attack again as she summoned her keyblade back to her hand. This damned thing better die soon or else she might use it. "Yo Hikaru, I could use that boost again soon!" Karina yelled at her teammate, however for the time being she would attack until he was ready to help her out with the boost. Hopefully this thing wouldn't die before she could be a real show off, that would just be upsetting. With that Karina rushed forward and slashed at the beast several times before retreating to what she hoped was a safe distance.

    Karina used combo

Roxanne barely recognized Corvo approaching or talking to her. She was so far trapped within herself that it was a struggle to bring herself to the surface again. It took her a moment and a few blinks to realize the fact that Corvo had suggested that she take a seat and ask if she was okay. As for the drink part she didn't think she could actually get herself to move all the way to the kitchen for one, she felt too sluggish. The most she managed was to get to the nearest place to sit, and take a seat, staring at Corvo for a moment trying to figure out what she was supposed to say to him. Her mind was in conflict of what to think of him and it was making everything harder.

Before Roxanne had found the voice to speak,
Hendrick had also shown up asking what had happened. At least her opinions on him were clear, so she chose to focus on that, chose to look only at Hendrick as she finally spoke, her voice barely a whisper. "They are taking her away too. They take everyone away... They thought I wasn't stable enough, so they took her away, and now they are taking Brianne away too..." Roxanne's mind was flashing between when people came and took her baby sister from her arms, and just now when Brianne was being dragged away from her. "Why am I not allowed a family. That is all I want..." She added on just as quietly as before. She knew in the back of her mind that she couldn't sit here forever, she had to do something, she had to help Corvo and Hendrick. She had to do her job as a shadow hunter, but it was hard. She had to work through it though because if she didn't this would be taken away from her too. Her only purpose left in life would be taken from her, and then where did that leave her?

Annabelle was smiling right until the second woman approached. She had been proud of her accomplishment, but now with the two woman arguing in a way, it made Annabelle take a step back and watch. Eventually the conversation was turned on her to choose. Annabelle didn't know what to say or do now. She had wanted to be taught how to use her magic better, but the king wanted her to learn other things. She should impress him, after all she was now his daughter, so perhaps she should study instead. Her eyes shifted from Violet to Evelynn and then back to Violet. Annabelle bit her lower lip as she thought about her options for a moment before speaking. "Her grea- er.... Yana taught me a lot of magic. No one as ever taught me ... um acam...acedm... ummm.... academerics. I would like to learn some." She finally said stumbling over her words a bit. It was true, Yana never put much weight on formal learning, only what she could do in order to hurt people. A different type of learning might be nice.

Out in the open of the city, Seth stopped for a moment just to breath. This life, doing stuff to help other people, putting his trust in other people, it wasn't something that he was used to. He was doing his best to try to learn but discovering it was ever growing harder. First he put his focus on just keeping a single person safe, but she seemed to hate that. Now they were trying to help a lot of people, but first he had to do something he never did... ask someone else for help. The problem was he didn't know where to start. He did his best to make up a plan for it on the spot, but he didn't know if it would work. He hated the idea of just leaving Tessa, but she insisted that she could take care of herself, and if they had no starting point, they needed to cover as much ground as they could in a short amount of time. So now here he was, in the middle of a street in Novigrad, almost feeling like he was back where he started. However this time he wasn't going to hurt someone. He wasn't going to piss off a witcher and help start a war. No he was going to help people this time. He would take his life in a different direction, and it started by finding a young girl and her brothers and asking them for help... Actually that was not true it started with Bryce and Tessa, this was just one more step towards his goal.

When Keenan was far enough away from the bone castle, he whistled and soon his horse came trotting up to him. Wasting no time he mounted it and kicked it in the direction he was to go, towards the Nilfgaardian camp. He made sure to push his horse as fast as he could go in order to reach the camp in as little time as possible. When he reached the edge of the camp he was stopped by the soldiers, so instead of trying to talk to them and convince them why he was there, he instead yelled past them. "I am searching for the one called Evylln. I need to speak to her now." Hopefully she would hear him from wherever she was in the camp, if she had even reached it yet. He had to time to wait and wonder where she was, only pray that she had made it here and hadn't already left.

"I'm tired." Gregory complained from Talon's arms, making Talon let out a loud sigh.
"Don't be so moody he missed his nap because I have been out all day searching for you." Matilda retorted before Talon had a chance to say anything on the subject. She wasn't about to let him complain now.
"We will rest in a little bit Greg, and maybe our dear sister could do something about this wound that is getting blood on your shirt while you nap."
"I wouldn't have to do anything about it if you weren't stupid enough to get yourself hurt. Come on we need to find a way out of the city that isn't guarded."
"Good luck with that. Any way like that would be too hard to take Greg through."
"Well you said we needed to get out of the city, now you have to find us a way out. If it were up to me I would say we lay low right under their noses."
    "Too risky."
"And sneaking out of the city isn't?"
It was then sniffles were heard as Gregory started to cry. "Stop it guys! I don't like it! I want to go home!" Greg yelled at them.
"Hush now, I would like to go home too, but we can't right now, okay? We will eventually and maybe mommy and daddy will be waiting for us then, but for now we have to take a little vacation, okay?"With a nod from Gregory Matilda stopped talking and started to scan their surroundings again for any sign of danger.

Amber's eyes lingered on Galadorn perhaps longer than they should have. She couldn't help it though. It wasn't that she hated the man now, but she felt jealous in a way. He had her to himself all day and night. They lived together, worked together, always with each other and not always having to be so formal about everything. The one single time she steps away from her job and reaches out for a friend, he had to interfere. He HAD to have something planned on that particular day. Before Kala even spoke she knew what her choice would be. Why choose a distant friend, now more like a boss, when you could choose your lover. Amber forced herself to look away from Galadorn trying not to think too much on it. She didn't want hate or hold a grudge against the man. Over the past couple years he had proven himself more than loyal. Still it stung a little.

Kala suggested they do lunch instead so she could have breakfast with Galadorn, but Amber felt that she shouldn't. She had taken most of yesterday off, and had plenty to catch up on. She shouldn't take a few hours off in the afternoon, but she needed to. She needed to just sit down with a friend. She wouldn't be able to continue her work to the best of her ability without the chance to talk to someone about everything on her chest. Someone that wasn't Drake. Yes she loved Drake but there was certain things she felt she couldn't discuss with him. So she turned to Kala, her only other friend in the world it seemed most days. "I'll make time for lunch tomorrow." Amber mumbled her response as she looked back down at a stack of papers, sorting through for the information and documents to do with the next meeting she had for the day. When this was over she couldn't wait to just get home to Drake and be done with it.

Adelina watched Zack go before laying down completely on the couch and setting Zelina on top of her. She placed her hands on the child's back to make sure she didn't go anywhere as Adelina closed her eyes. A small nap, that was what she needed, then she could have a good day with Zack. She could spend time with her boyfriend before he had to get back to work. Even if no one could watch the kids it was okay, as long as they were together. However that thought hurt more than it should as she thought about their relationship. Two years and two children later and he still didn't purpose to her. She was hoping for a long time that he would. Adelina's wings wrapped themselves around the two, something that happened instinctively when she was a little upset. At least it also helped protect Zelina as they both found themselves drifting into a light nap while awaiting Zack's return.

Well the reaction was not one that he hoped for but it was better than nothing. Even if they just got Lexander in, he hoped the boy would be smart enough to talk the city into letting them in as well. For the time being they had to keep up the act and do as they were told, after all they were supposed to be desperate for whatever help they could get. "Oh thank you. Thank you so much. I thought my nephew wouldn't make it much further. Please make sure he is alright. How can I ever repay you for such a kindness?" Relief filled Koldo's voice as he spoke. He made sure to keep his eyes on Veera and not glance to the others to make sure they were playing their parts. "I heard legends about a town in the trees somewhere, rumours really. I didn't think they were true, but we had no other choice than to try. No where else to go, but at least take shelter in the trees. I am just so glad that you found us. Does that mean the rumours were true?" Koldo asked. It wasn't a complete lie either. His spies in the walled city had told him as much about the rumours. There was small whispers for years, but two years ago, when a strange group of creatures came and took back the outer wall, leaving soon after, the rumour grew. It was being spoken of like it was fact, but know one could say where it was and no one had ever seen it before. Even when the scouts looked.

Everything hurt as Jayce picked her up. At least they were leaving at last. They could escape and everyone would be safe. She would heal and then go back for vengeance from what they did to her. For now they were getting out.

    As
Jayce ran with her over his shoulder, the two cross bow bolts that remained in her worked their way further into her side. However instead of hurting more, the pain started to seem distant. By the time the next explosion of fire hit them, it was nothing more than a dull ache somewhere far away from the reality she felt she was living in. Rose was well aware that this was not a good thing. She fought for the pain back, pushing away the calm that was crowding her mind. She didn't know if she was dying or just about to pass out, but either was not going to leave her in a good spot. She fought to keep her eyes open though it was a battle she was quickly losing.

Rose thought they were finally almost safe. She thought that they were about to escape as
Jayce slowed his steps before stopping. However instead of handing her off or placing her into the interior of a ship, she found herself being placed on the ground, as a spell was cast over her. A shield of some sort it seemed. Rose could only watch as Jayce then turned around and walked away, undoubtedly going after Carissa again. How stupid could he be? He was also injured and there was still the stupid fire mage running around causing tons of problems. Now was not the appropriate time to focus on Carissa.

If she could have, Rose would have been yelling at
Jayce and demanding he stop being an idiot, but her mouth wouldn't work. Nothing worked and her mouth was dry, her tongue lead in it. Her eyelids were as heavy as her tongue felt as she struggled to keep them awake. Perhaps Teliana would convince the pilot to land next to her and drag her in. If Jayce wanted to pursue this stupid fight instead of saving her then so be it, she just wanted to live at this point. If they left Jayce behind then that was fine too. She regretted taking the cross bow bolt for him now. If she had known that he still wouldn't get out of there, she wouldn't have bothered and got herself safe and left Jayce to whatever fate he chose for herself. She was an idiot and now she was paying the price, helpless, unable to save herself.

When Aster awoke, his ears were ringing and his arm ached more than anything. Glancing down he noticed the unmistakable mark Rose left on him. He had heard that she did that when she planned to come back for someones life, scar them with the shape of a rose stem. He had never thought that she would do that to him, he thought he was dead when it was clear that he had lost the battle with Rose. However here he was, alive and marked for a future battle. Aster couldn't help but wonder why she had done it, but that didn't matter at this time.

Slowly getting to his feet he surveyed the bloody battlefield around them. In the distance there was a battle still raging, but not one he felt he could help with. Aster was already in a bad shape, so instead of joining another battle, he figured it best to survey the damage done. He found his way over to a
large robot thing sitting on the ground, out of service and knelt beside it. They could use whatever they could salvage it seemed, and at this point this thing seemed like maybe he could salvage it.

Through his trips with his father, Aster had picked up a lot of different skills, and though he was never the best with technology, he knew enough to try to do something. His best guess was the circuits of the robot had been overloaded. It was possible that simply restarting everything manually might get things working, at least in some capacity for the time being. So Aster set to work finding the main mother board of the machine and force resetting it. Hopefully, he prayed it would work.

"New boss? No thanks. Do you really think I would just accept it. You are more stupid than you look if that is the case. I barely listen to my high demon above me. You really expect me to listen to him?" Slavko stated as he lounged in the chair. "I mean I am willing to hear this mission that I will apparently like, but there is no way that I will ever consider him my boss." Slavko stated as he crossed his arms and stared at Paragon, challenging him to try to force him to respect the other man.

Roxanne just stared at Brianne for a moment having trouble finding the words to say. It felt wrong to even hold Brianne's blade, much less wield it from now on. "I don't hurt people unless they are trying to hurt someone. I promise I never have before. I-I don't know how well I can promise not to play games though. It is the only way I can protect people... I can't hurt anyone without seeing him. No matter who they are or who bad they are. Every time I tried to fight, tried to do my job I saw him instead. I needed to see something other than reality. B-but I will try. I promise I-" Roxanne's rambling was cut short as Brianne snapped at Rhett and some sort of flames surrounded her.

Roxanne backed off feeling helpless to do anything against
Brianne's change in reaction. Helpless to stop the flames. And helpless to keep the promise Brianne asked her to make. "N-no don't leave! You can't take her! Please. I can't lose someone else." Some small part of Roxanne knew that this was for Brianne's sake and she wasn't truly going to be gone. Not forever, but the Brianne she knew. The head of the institute was gone. Roxanne suddenly started feeling cold and alone. She didn't know what to do or how to handling this. She wanted to run away and hide and she wanted to burst through that door and kill anyone one who was threatening to hurt Brianne or take her away. However Roxanne did neither of these things because she already saw how people looked at her. She knew that one more major outburst and she might not be walking free much longer. So she stood there and stared, her face blank as her mind worked and taunted her. There was so much going on in her mind it was a wonder that she remained standing and kept her shaking to a minimum. Her eyes scanned the room for someone to help calm her. Perhaps Hendrick would return soon. She just needed someone, anyone to help her, even Corvo would do at this point.

Yvette kept her arms raised as Alexei stepped out behind her and didn't seem to be helping the situation at all. However in reality she couldn't expect too much, she was a pilot and he was an engineer. Neither of them trained or equipped to handle severely stacked odds. Sure she could use a weapon, it was required of her, but fighting eight vs two was not something she was trained for. That would be more for the security guys to handle, and unfortunately none was left for them.

At least she had one thing going for her, he liked that she was using her brain. It would keep her alive a little longer. Though he didn't so much like
Alexei, and Yvette honestly didn't blame him for that. "Go." She told Alexei with a small gesture of her head. There was no use that they both get captured or he got killed. At least if one got out he could provide details to the others, in the meantime Yvette just had to out think them to keep herself alive for the time being.

"I am certain my captain would mind, but you seem like a smart man Janus, you don't care and would find a way around it. The question is though could you control the thing. New technology and very finicky. You need to know and have practiced on a ship like this before flying it you know." She stated to him. She didn't feel the need to explain that he would need her to fly it, she figured he would pick up on it possibly. Though if they made her fly it then she could go wherever she wanted, because if she died and they didn't know how to fly it, then they would all be dead and no one would be further ahead.

It was an effort to keep her ocean blue eyes calm and passive as
Janus mentioned trying to figure out where he knew her from. He still hadn't figured it out, but someone was going to recognize her soon. She fought the urge to bite her lip in nervousness before speaking once again. "I don't know how you would recognize me. Your mind may be playing tricks on you. I never was allowed out much until recently when I joined the coalition. There is no reason for you to have ever seen me.... Unless." Yvette hesitated as if she was trying to recall something. "... Where you at uncle Johnny's funeral! Oh he was so well loved there was so many people there. I had to go up and make a speech for it too. Is it possible that is were?" She asked. The first part was not entirely a lie, the second part however was completely made up. She was just hoping to throw his thinking off a little bit. Get him distracted before he could come up with who she was. Her arms started to sag a bit as they tired of being held in the air. If they went somewhere, hopefully soon then maybe she could at least put her arms down and get some movement flowing again. From there... well she would take things as they came.

Roxanne watched as the world moved around her. Everyone doing there own thing and she was standing in the middle of it, little more than a tool being used and passed from hand to hand. Though she supposed that there was little else she was good for, She had a hard enough time handling herself that others probably weren't too sure about dealing with her. Even then she didn't like sitting in the middle like this, not sure where she should be. At the same time she feared running off on her own, not with the threats on her and the others. Last time she had left the group she ended up being strangled, kidnapped, tortured and threatened before she was let go, and she was lucky that she was even let go. That left her in an awkward spot of not being sure where to go or what to do at this point. Though she supposed first thing first, she had to return Brianne's Stele. With Hendrick and Corvo now there, they could deal with runes, and maybe Corvo would even return her own.

    Roxanne approached
Brianne and held the Stele out for her. "I suppose I should return this now." She said quietly when she heard the werewolf call for her. "I suppose you should go. Do you... do you want help over there or up the steps. I mean you don't have to take my help, I get that no one trusts me and you want to do things on your own. I just thought I would offer." Roxanne rambled a little bit. She wasn't as bubbly as she normally was but she was not completely upset either. She was learning to deal with things for the time being while they were a little more calm.

Annabelle did as she was instruction, her face turning red from concentration or irritation, she didn't quite know herself. Though after another long moment the statue burst apart and Annabelle released a breath she didn't know she was holding. She started panting for breath after it felt like that one act took a lot more out of her than it should. "I did it!" She announced proudly.

"She didn't say where she was going besides to find her brother. I would say we should spread out and look for her and meet back here in say two hours. See how much of the city we can each cover in the time. And then from there we could either see if her offer for the person she said would help us out still stands, and if not we can try returning to Sigmund and pray he doesn't rip my head off." Seth told them. They both seemed to agree that they needed to get Matilda so now it was time to go find her. This time they would go different directions and he would trust Tessa to protect herself because he knew that she could. Without Matilda looking over their shoulders yet it should be fine. No lectures on their injuries just yet.

Seth made his way to the door.
"I will head towards the east side of town. You two choose where you go and just go. I will see you back here soon." Seth said before he made his way out into the streets. They had come to an agreement and now they didn't have time to discuss it more. They needed to simply move.

The mage claimed to not be the one to kill Aaron and part of him believed it. He figured that with the undead army the death would have been more brutal then decapitation. The only reason he could figure that was the cause of death was from the stitches that lined Aarons neck. Still the sick ******* was holding his soul hostage, not letting him enter final rest. When the undead let go Keenan wanted to run forward. To kill the mage and set Veera free and to set Aaron's soul free. However Keenan was smart enough to know that he couldn't take out the man and his undead army on his own right now. It would take more than just him to accomplish.

"Stay strong Veera. I will come back for you. I promise." Keenan whispered before he turned and walked out through the sea of undead. He had to find that woman before, the one who planned to create an army and lead her back to the castle. He would love to recruit more witchers, however to track them would be near impossible and he didn't have time to return to Kaer. So the random knight type lady would have to do the trick. So with that Keenan started in the direction that he had last seen the woman go.

Terra couldn't manage a response to the sass the girl was giving her. Her entire body seemed to ache from her injuries and from the tiredness. Perhaps it would be okay to sleep while the girl worked. But would that be the safest? Perhaps not but what was she supposed to do even if they were in danger? She could barely manage to move or speak, she couldn't defend them, not until she had some rest and some of her energy came back up so she could use her magic again without fainting. It seemed it was time to train with her magic once again. Time to learn more endurance. She hadn't used her magic in so long, hiding who she was, but now she had no where to hide. It was time to learn to fight once again. But first, sleep.

It was no big surprise that someone came towards the ship, given the gun shots up ahead. However Yvette was not prepared to deal with eight people. She leveled her gun as they got slightly closer, but as threats were thrown at them and Yvette could see how they were armed, she opted not to try and shoot them. Chances were she could take out two before they took out her, the ship or Alexei. It wouldn't be much longer before the remaining would be taken out too. She assessed the threat, the man power that she had verses what they had, and the chances of survival in a fight then raised her Pyre into the air and took her finger off the trigger.

"You would belong to the other ship we spotted in the air I take it."
Yvette said slowly, carefully. She didn't want to say anything to get herself shot, she just needed to stall for time. Observing the wings that spread from the man's back, there was a good chance that he had come from her home world, if that was the case then things could turn out dangerous for her. Space pirates, all they want is money and she could be worth a fair amount that if they tried. Between her cousin, her uncle and her father, they would all want her safe. She was to be her cousin's advisory when he became king after all. She just had to be careful with what she said and buy time until Brianne and the others got back. Yvette doubted that Alexei would be of much help, seeing how he had been acting. "What exactly do you plan to accomplish by coming to this planet, look around there is nothing here, unless you think killing two random ensigns will do anything towards your cause, whatever that may be." Yvette spoke, trying to keep them off of her. The wings made her nervous that he might know who she was, caution was the best route, but there was only so much caution she could take.

No one seemed to be agreeing with her, they all seemed to think here where everyone knew where Brianne was, was the best place for her. That being said the trick with the water did make Roxanne nervous to leave, not knowing how easily that they would be tracked. Roxanne supposed that there was not much that she could do about this, so chose to step back. Brainne was losing her patience with Roxanne, she knew that. So Roxanne decided to take a step back and let the others decide what to do and she would go along with it if Corvo didn't punish her first.

Leaning against the wall Roxanne heard a small thumping on the barrier. Taking one last look at the group gathered, discussing what to do, Roxanne walked away to see what the pounding was about. When she reached the door she found
Rhett on the other side holding the werewolf that allowed her in before, not that she should have needed permission to enter her own home. They both looked like they were in bad shape, and with the rest of their packs inside, Roxanne chose to open the barrier long enough to let the two in. She made sure to seal it once again as soon as they were in, she was not willing to give a chance for anything else to come in. "There is an infirmary up the stairs and three doors down on the left. I don't know anything about fixing wounds, but the supplies are there." Roxanne told Rhett quietly, how wounded the people were scaring her a little. She was worried for Brianne and the others, things could end up so much worse.

"Goody the trigger happy, faceless, fairy wishes to speak to us. I am sure it is such a honour." Slavko gave a sarcastic bow, knowing the doctor was somewhere watching before the door opened and he was lead out. "Shame that we could continue are little conversation, maybe next time pup." Slavko commented to Grayson as they walked through the halls. As they entered the office Slavko just smiled. "Hey if it isn't my favourite gun wielding, demon kidnapper, and some fat guy!" Slavko greeted them as he took a seat and put his feet up on the desk.

Terra grit her teeth trying not to say a nasty word or two to this girl. She needed the help, and more so, Sweallow needed the help. Terra felt like she might pass out in the streets, but that was not an option, not if either of them wished to live. Terra glanced at the girl helping them and wondered if she should be accepting her help. She would for Sweallows sake, but she had just caused a big scene and that might have brought some unwanted attention to her. If that was the case Terra would find a way to take on whatever was coming to them all on her own and keep Sweallow safe. It was the least she could do after he had saved her from bleeding out in the streets after the battle at the orphanage. Terra's steps were slow but she took it the best she could until they reached the girls house.

    Once inside, Terra set
Sweallow where she was instructed to. As soon as he was out of her arms, all strength that she mustered to carry him, then failed her. She found herself sinking to the ground as she let the tiredness take over her body. She felt like she wouldn't be able to move at all for a while as she lay on the ground. She had used far more magic than she ever should have in that battle and managed to reopen all three wounds on her back, perhaps even make them worse. Just from that alone it took a lot out of her, and then she was forced to carry Sweallow back here in order to gain the help he needed from the lady. Terra's body couldn't take much more. Perhaps in her younger years where she spent most of her days on the battlefield, but not anymore. However Terra didn't allow herself to fall asleep. She fought it with all that she had because she needed to know that Sweallow was going to be alright. She wasn't looking at him but she figured hearing whatever was going on would be information enough for the time being,

"Well I can't just sit here and watch as Archon kills random dopplers. He could be taking the only family away from some kid. I would rather not have anyone else turn out how I did. With no guidance and everyone who found out what they were fearing you, it takes a toll on a child. My parents willingly abandoned me, but I don't think it would matter if it was willing or if Archon took them away, it would turn out the same, perhaps worse. The world doesn't need another horrible person in it. I already am one, so even if this quest leads me to do something I am not particularly proud of then so be it. I am not a model citizen. That being said, don't push yourself to do too much of the dirty work. I can handle it. Don't bloody your hands if you don't have to. Leave it to the people who already have. Because I promise you, if you do, you will never stop having nightmares about it. I don't say this because I think your weak. I say this because I know the truth of it all too well and I am sure Adoline would agree with me." Seth responded softly as he looked Tessa in the eyes. He saw a side of her that he had not seen before, but that didn't change things. It was simply one more side of her for him to love.

    When
Adoline returned and they sat down, Tessa introduced them before they began to discuss a place to meet. "I don't think we should bother Sigmund more. I am already of thin ice when it comes to dealing with him. He might just throw us out, or at least me. Matilda had mentioned she had friends that could get us out. Perhaps they also have places to meet. That being said we will have to find where Matilda and her brother went off to. If we find them and apologize, we might just be able to get the help. And Matilda's skills with medicine might be helpful. Though it is your call Tessa, seeing as you were the one who was upset with her before." Seth pointed out the facts of the situation. He didn't mind asking Matilda for help. She was young but she seemed willing enough to help. That being said if her and Tessa were going to have problems, then perhaps it wasn't a good idea.

Yvette rolled her eyes. This kid, how did he ever even become an Ensign? Huffing out a breath of air, Yvette chose to drop the subject. There was nothing she could do to force him to do anything, she could tell that already. She would rather not waste her breath on arguing with a lazy, arrogant boy. He might not to have wanted to do his job, but she would. Sure there were things that she would rather do instead, mostly go for a fly on her own two wings, however Yvette knew better than to do something like that, so she kept her feet planted on the ground.

It wasn't long before Yvette heard the sound of gun fire echoing from the direction that the others had gone in. Yvette took no time to draw her weapon and prepare it to fire in case anyone came their way.
"So are you going to stop napping now and be on the lookout or do they have to be firing at your head for that to happen?" Yvette asked Alexei in a very annoyed tone as her eyes scanned the the lands that lay beyond for sign of trouble.

Her knife had connected thankfully, and that allowed for some of Jayce's bullets to hit. Carissa was now on the ground crawling around and she and Jayce were still standing. This however didn't mean that they could kill Carissa that easily, or afford to waist any more time. They needed to get out. They needed to get out right now. Knowing Jayces vendetta against Carissa, Rose knew that he wouldn't just go when he was so close to killing her. That meant that Rose had to go get him herself.

Everything hurt as she tried to jog towards
Jayce. Her speed was no where near quick but it was faster than walking. She was impressed that she was able to keep herself standing to be honest. She forced herself to keep moving through the pain. To keep moving as Ana yelled threats at them to get on the ship. Rose fully planned on getting on the ship, but not without Jayce joining them. Rose forced herself to ignore the comment about looking like a baby. It pissed her off to no end and Ana was surely going to taste her fist later for that, but for now she was simply worried about getting to Jayce.

As Rose neared him, she noticed that
Carissa was doing something, not just crawling away. It became clear that Carissa was loading another cross bow bolt, and knowing Carissa it wouldn't be a normal one either. "Get the f*ck back to the ship!" Rose demanded of Jayce as she threw herself in front of the oncoming cross bow bolt. She was barely able to get in it's way due to her slower reaction, but the arrow pierced her stomach as Rose fell to the ground. Her entire body screamed with pain as she hit the ground. She felt everything start to shut down and freeze up, similar to what happened when she had gotten captured. A damn paralysis bolt again. Well there was no getting up and walking this off when she could barely move. "You better get the hell out of here and not let your damn pride win. No use us both being caught." Rose groaned wishing she could reach for her wounds, stop the bleeding the best she could, but her arms didn't want to work currently. She just had to hope that Jayce could carry her out or that Carissa wanted her alive enough to get her some decent help.

Anthea looked up when Aston asked what was on her mind. She hesitated before answering but not fully. "Oh it was nothing, I had an idea but now that I think about it, it would be too dangerous to even attempt. Don't worry about it." Anthea responded to him as she looked away again. She was silently scolding herself for even considering it. It wasn't like her incantations were actually really good for what she was thinking of anyways. She would need more a wide open space for it instead of a closed in space like where they were.

    Then there was the question.
Baldomar thought it was an easy answer but Anthea questioned if the answer would be that simple, then that got her thinking. "The question might not be when it started being constructed, but when it was finished. If that is the case the Keep very well could take years to construct. Is there anywhere in that book that says how long it took to build it?" Anthea suggested quietly. She didn't like speaking up but she feared getting the wrong answer and ending up like the rest of these bodies.

"What are we supposed to do? Take my four year old brother and go murder the king? Not going to happen. Come on Matilda we need to get out of here. Put the bow away and grab Greg." Talon instructed as he stood up, letting go of his shoulder at last.
"No you grab Greg, you don't have a damned weapon on you while we are being hunted. Come on lets get going." Matilda retorted finally lowering her arrow as she glared at Talon.
"Talon, Tilly I am scared. What is going on?" A small voice asked as he approached the adults.
"Don't worry about it Greg, it will be alright, we will make sure of it." Talon said picking up his younger brother, grunting at the pain as he did so. "We will follow the river out of the city, use the waterways, they are less guarded but that means we might have to swim a bit with Greg until we find a boat."
"We will figure it out, but come on lets go before someone finds us. When we are safe though, I want a full explanation, no if ands or buts. I want to know why I have to leave my home, my shop and my friends. You owe me that much."
"I know Matilda! I didn't mean for this to happen, just come on already!" Talon snapped at his sister before starting down the river bank, hoping Matilda was on his heals and praying that Xross wasn't.

The hood was removed from the figure and the face of the youngest and very promising witcher was revealed.... Aaron. Keenan found himself suddenly thrashing against the undead, trying to get out of their grasp. "How dare you?! He was still just a kid!" Keenan shouted at Solomon. Nineteen, Aaron had to be only nineteen and now he was dead. But then Solomon also said Vecelsav and Tatiana were dead as well. But how would he know that? Did this mage have a way of gaining that information or was it a bluff? Either way Keenan had to see for himself when he got out of this mess, but for now he had to deal with the mess.

"Veera listen to me, it isn't true. Don't listen to him. You know better than I how much of a big kind heart Aaron had. It would be impossible for him to hate someone and you know it. He is trying to play with your mind, don't let it work." Keenan would never admit how much it took to keep himself together at this moment. He had come back to town to check up on things and now Aaron was dead, Veceslav might be dead, and here was a mage with an army of undead playing games with their lives. Maybe none of this would have happened if he didn't choose to find work so far away. Perhaps he could have stopped it. Perhaps.... He didn't let his mind go any further because he knew why he worked so far away and he knew what he had accomplished there. He wouldn't change it if he could. They needed his help where he was, so he would help in what ways he could.

Then there was the offer and the counter offer.
Veera was trying to bargain for his life alongside Kruez's, but that meant losing her. He would try to talk her out of it, but he knew Veera well enough to know that wouldn't work. So instead if it did work, he would gather the remaining witchers, perhaps track down the woman from before and the army she was raising, and then march straight back here and take Veera back. He wouldn't abandon her. But this was if he himself was able to get out.

Terra was light headed, blood leaked from her nose, as often happened when using up more magic than she should. She needed to stop the bear, but she had very little left in her to attempt to do so. She saw Sweallows arm go flying and she knew that they had lost, there was nothing more that she could do to save him. Terra was about to lay her head back when she felt a breeze and then the bear took off away from them. A voice Terra did not recognize then began to talk as she saw a blonde woman approach Sweallow. Terra hadn't planned to even try to move until the girl ordered her to.

Getting to her feet was no easy feet. Terra winced and groaned every step of the way she she felt the blood from freshly re-opened wounds run down her back. She felt light headed and her face was sticky from blood that ran from her nose, but even still she was in better shape than
Sweallow. Terra took her steps slow as she made her way towards the two, dropping to her knees as soon as she reached them. "I am sorry I couldn't protect you better..." Terra whispered as the woman ran off to find his arm. "Everything will be okay. It will be okay." Terra told him, trying to convince herself more than she was trying to convince him.

    When the
girl returned she asked Terra to carry him. Did she not see the shape her was in? "It doesn't look like I have a choice." Terra mumbled as she got to her feet once again, no easier than the last time. She then bent down to scoop up Sweallow. A scream ripped through her throat as she worked on getting Sweallow in her arms. Her back was in so much pain right now as tears dripped from her eyes. Her knees shook but she forced herself to walk and follow this woman, only because it was their only chance to live at this point.

Annabelle listened to the rant from her teacher and watched her display of power. It was quite impressive indeed. Annabelle couldn't imagine being able to do that, but she was supposed to try to do it anyways. She supposed doing this couldn't turn out any worse than Yana teaching her to use her magic. At least Violet could show her want to do and teach her better since she used the same element. Annabelle focused on the statue, imitating exactly what Violet did. She had a look of extreme concentration as she tried to accomplish what she was shown, but not a single stone moved or cracked. "It isn't working. I am doing what you told me to but it is hard." Annabelle exclaimed as she kept trying to focus on shattering the statue.

Seth followed Tessa and Adoline deciding to talk as they walk and not just stand around. "Our friend, you mean the girl from earlier, Matilda? I feel it will be hard to find or convince her now. She seemed pretty upset with us. Best move on to gathering everyone else and leave her to find her brother or whatever." Seth waved off the idea. He didn't want any more friction between Matilda and Tessa and he didn't want anymore girls nearly crying. He didn't know how to deal with things like that, so he would. Once they found a place to sit down that was safe they could discuss things more, but right now he quickened his pace as the crowd was making him a bit nervous.

"I won't just let you die! Don't you see that? Stop letting your stupid pride get in your way. I won't sit here and watch the only family I have left be taken from me." Roxanne retorted getting upset once again, but manageable so this time. She glanced to Hendrick hoping for his help on the matter. "It sounds like the Seelie Queen will destroy the building to get to you. We need to find somewhere to hide you when she leaves, if she leaves. You may be the head of the institute but soon you will be the head of rubble. Let me help you pl-" Roxanne cut herself short at the sound of a voice behind her.

Roxanne found herself frozen in place when
Corvo began to speak. He seemed to be acting friendly towards her, but for how long? She had pretty much gone against everything ordered of her and found a way to acquire some weapons once more after he had already taken them off of her. She didn't expect him to be too happy with her in the end. Roxanne shifted to try to hide the view of the knife given to her by Clarity as she stood there, her eyes going between Corvo, Hendrick, and Brianne. Roxanne knew that when Brianne said no one was going to remove her from the situation, she meant it. Besides Roxanne's loyalties lay more with Brianne then they ever would with Corvo. Roxanne took a step towards Brianne and looked at Corvo, not really willing to talk or explain the situation, but just do what she could to show her alliance for the time being. There was nothing else for her to do. She needed to hear why Corvo was here as well. She knew what he had been ordered to do, but she had also seen his reluctance to do it. Now it was time to see where his decision lay.

Felicia's vision was fading in and out as sleep tugged at the corner of her mind. She knew she was loosing too much blood and passing out would be inevitable, even if someone helped her at this point, yet she still fought it, she wanted to see what would happen with it all. The edges of her vision were black when the scene finally changed a little bit. She saw someone knew approach and then a cat made of fire, but beyond that it was all black. She heard some of the yelling, but not all. Her hand loosened on her side where she had been trying to hold back the bleeding, and she couldn't seem to get her fingers to work again to grip it tighter. Felicia just hoped that she could wake from this slumber.

"Well perhaps if you gave me my weapon back to fight with, I would actually fight, but until then, why bother even trying?" Slavko responded as he ducked under the punch but just barely. He then kept low as he swept his leg around and tried to take out Grayson's legs. It wasn't that Slavko was actually planning on cooperating much, but how could he talk to the good doctor when the overgrown mutt was attacking him?

Rose thought she was close, thought she had a chance, but something changed. The crossbow was pointed down, but not because Carissa was dropping it for a knife or something, but instead an explosion rung through her ears as the light blinded Rose and tossed her back. As her feet left the ground she felt a secondary pain hit her, more flames. The knife in her already burnt hand, clattered to the ground long before she hit the ground herself. When her body made contact with the ground it jarred her other hand loose and the knife fell from it too.

Everything spun as Rose laid on the ground, her body burning and aching. She didn't even want to look and see what sort of burns that she had received after that one. It took a great amount of strength just to sit up, but Rose force herself to do so, her eyes searching for
Jayce. When she found him among the still settling dust, they did not leave. Her eyes looked like they were pleading with them, she didn't want to go back to being captured, especially not in this shape. The way she was she would not be able to get herself out of it at any point. They would never let her heal enough for that.

Please just get me out and I won't go through with my plans. I won't kill you. I swear. If you want me to be your lover, I will. If you want me to just be your assassin, I will. If you what you wish it doesn't matter, just don't let them take me again. I need to be free. The pathetic thoughts filled Rose's head and she felt ashamed for them. She hated herself for feeling so weak, but she was struggling to get to her feet as she had to use her sword for support. Her legs shook as she found herself standing once more, facing
Carissa. She needed to find a way to kill the woman and quick.

Rose's hand shaked as she found a smaller knife among the ones she had strapped to herself earlier. She gripped the blade tight between her thumb and forefinger. As the dust started to settle more and she had a better line of sight, but still some coverage, the knife left Rose's hand, and headed towards it's target,
Carissa's back. If this didn't work she had nothing left in her, it would be up to Jayce from there on out.
