One after the other her comrades followed her into the battle against Nequa, and while Kiara wanted the killing blow she wasn't going to turn down the help. However even after their on slaughter of attacks, Nequa still managed to walk out of it like it was nothing. Moments later, Kiara spotted why. Instead of seeing scared flesh and smoldering hair, there stood a body made of metal and circuits that soon collapsed. She stared down at the hunk of metal for a moment as a voice blasted over a speaker.

Looking up she noticed several more of the robots come out as the voice laughed at them. While it was pissing Kiara off even more, she realized her mistake in using her limit when she did. She was feeling the exhaust wash over her even as she knew she still had a battle at hand. This wasn't going to be good, she knew that much, as suddenly spells where flung at them. Kiara was forced to jump back and go on the defense as various magic hit her, some harming her and others healing her. Out of the corner of her eye she caught Yue getting inside the labs, Kiara just hoped she could handle this on her own as she took another step back trying to dodge some more of the magic. Flames wouldn't be enough in this case, it wouldn't hurt them.
"Yo metal boy, I need you to help deal with these guys." She called back to Koa. Taking a few steps forward Kiara made an effort to go back on offense to give Koa an opening to help, but it was clear that her energy was starting to fail her at this point and she was barely hanging on.

"We really aren't hero... Well they might be..." Tinarah tried to insist but looked to the others. They had all done far more than she had, they continued the fight against the Light Chaser while she had let so many people sacrafice their lives for her while she felt like she had gotten no further ahead in life. She certainly wouldn't call it being a hero. "Besides I don't even want to be a hero." She admitted in the end, but her protests seemed to fall on deaf ears as the woman who had been on the other side of the screen appeared to greet them.

She lead them inside, the house itself was incredible but Tinarah wasn't as focused on that as she looked back towards the two apparent heroes, then to Master Thallasa. Was this really what they needed to be doing with their time? It didn't feel like they were being all that helpful just sitting around here, but that was what was insisted upon, much to Tinarah's displeasure. The only thing that made it a little bit better was that Chrono had come to bring her their mothers violin.
"Thank you. I have missed this old thing. I wonder if it still plays as nicely as I remember." After being spoiled with the overly nice Violin that Stamatis got for her, she wondered if your mothers still held up. Either way it was still nice to have a piece of her mother with her.

While it wasn't the time or place, Tinarah couldn't help but bring the violin up to her chin. "Mom I missed you so much." She whispered quietly as she closed her eyes and began to play, letting that part of her come alive again. That distant connection with her mom. She had learned to move on and let go, but a part of her still missed this. Chrono or Aria might have been able to tell, that over the years that Tinarah was gone, her skills only increased significantly when it came to playing the violin. And while she did notice this one was not as nice as her old one, it didn't bother her, just knowing it was her moms was enough.

Sitting watching the horizon, Cerdic felt another person approach and sit beside him. He knew who it was before he even looked, there was only one person who would come after him, whether he wanted it or not. And of course Daeni wanted him to talk and share what was bothering him. The problem was, he had no desire to talk about such things. He didn't care to share his troubles. He came out here to be alone and that wasn't working all that well. "I don't hate you Daeni but I want to be alone right now. You have your own job while I keep watch anyways. I don't need help." Cerdic stated getting up ready to walk away from the girl when the earth shook.

"What the hell?" Cerdic questioned as he ran towards the cave to see what was going on. What he saw really got under his skin as he saw Mora laying their, darkness pouring out of her. "One job that you failed to do apparently! Why in the world did you leave Mora alone? You were supposed to watch her and take care of her. She clearly wasn't doing well and you just left her? Alder and Chrono are busy working on the extractor. I was taking watch! You just had to make sure Mora was doing okay! Who the hell cares how I am doing? I wasn't the one that was passing out!" Cerdic freaked out at Daeni as Ria's voice echoed through the cave.

Running inside Cerdic noticed where the darkness was seeping and he placed himself between it and where Alder and Chrono were working.
"You two better hurry up. I can try and hold them off but I don't know how long and this seems like the best lead we got to making a difference." Cerdic yelled back at Chrono and Alder, hoping they could do it in time and hoping they could save Mora.

Personally I am very excited for this months Chorus. The song on the month is Piano Man by Billy Joel. Sign ups are open to anyone and everyone who wants to join, just select the part you want to take and record all lines that correspond with that number. Just as a general reminder, make sure that you record your lines to the instrumental to help make sure that it is time to that and not the original video. The instrumental and lyric videos do not always align perfectly, so keep that in mind. You have until March 11th to claim your lines. The recordings as well as a rendered image to represent yourself must be in by March 18th. Look forward to working on this with everyone!

Before Tinarah could get her violin back they were moving on to the person's place that was apparently going to let them stay there, in theory. Clearly Mr. Incredible didn't ask them just kind of volunteered them out. It was surprising that this town didn't have a hotel or something that they could stay at, but she supposed they would take what they could get, besides Tinarah didn't even know if anyone actually had money to put towards a place to stay. She couldn't afford to be picky.

A short walk later and they were approaching what seemed like a mansion of sorts where a laser time gateway was blocking their way. Mr. Incredible walked up to a screen and started to talk and a voice was heard on the other end before a face was seen on the other side, staring closely at the screen before the conversation continued, to the point Tinarah wasn't sure how long they should let this go on for. Finally as they got access and started to walk in Tinarah had the nerves to speak up.
"Um.... We aren't really heroes. We don't need costumes or masks, just a place to stay and rest until we can figure out what is going on with this thing blocking our magic." Tinarah tried to inform Mr. Incredible. She wasn't okay with just lying her way through this, besides she didn't want a new costume, so it was better to tell him straight up. They weren't heroes. It didn't make sense to Tinarah why no one else was willing to say that.

A retreat? No this was something even better as Nequa stepped out shortly after the kid disappeared. "So you are finally done hiding behind those pathetic guards of yours? Good to see. I look forward to this." For so long Kiara wanted to deal with Nequa, and now here she was standing in front of her. "This will be fun." A smirk was on her lips as she got ready to put everything she had into this fight. She wanted to make sure that Nequa was dead, indisputably dead. She had held off long enough at this rate. Turning to her team she smiled a bit. "You might want to stay back." She warned as the small ball of fire started to glow hot and grow bigger, the power from it could be felt in the air as Kiara started to channel her limit into one attack.

The blast she sent at Nequa was strong enough that it sent Kiara stumbling back a couple steps, but the place that Nequa was, and the area around it was soon quickly engulfed in her flames. Before it all fully had time to settle down, Kiara went diving into it, knowing that the flames wouldn't hurt her as she looked through the haze to start her assault on Nequa, using quick strong attacks in rapid succession in the area that she was pretty sure that Nequa was in. It might have been over the top and brash, but Kiara wasn't going to lose this time.

Disappointment washed over Tinarah when Thallasa announced the group that was going to check it out. While Thallasa tried to back her decision why not to send Tinarah, it felt a little more like an excuse and not a real reason. She didn't need her brother to go with her, nothing said he had to go, and looking at Torrin, he could have been in better shape. That being said so could she. Her lungs still burned from the intake of smoke earlier. Looking back between the group of chosen and Thallasa, Tinarah knew better than to question those who were above her and backed down instead of fighting it.

Everyone was starting to interact and wish each other luck as the scouting party prepared to depart, but Tinarah took a step back, trying to separate herself from that, the disappointment of it all. She glanced over at Aria, wondering if the girl felt the same way that she did, after all both of them had been worried about not even being allowed to help on these missions, and now they were both being forced to stay behind as Take, Torrin, and Boreas scouted ahead for them, likely waiting with some strange lady that may or may not tolerate them for the night.

After a moment Tinarah walked over to her brother since there was only one thing she could think of that would help her calm herself.
"Can I have my violin back? Take said you were holding onto it for me." She asked her brother quietly. It may not be appropriate to play right now, but her violin might make her feel better, and this one... this one she hadn't seen for over five years. This violin had once meant everything to her and she hadn't even held it since getting back, much less played it.

"There is a few places outside that I noticed were decent to sit around if we need." If he could remember how to get to them. Everette had a general idea but his memory was a bit foggy and it always turned into problems. It didn't seem to him that it would matter where they set up anyways, just somewhere that would get Sam away for a bit. "But I agree you need a breather Sam, so lets sit outside somewhere. We can go over samples, and if you find anything then we can move from there, if there is anything with the water from the well, then we will go to the river. If not we don't need to." Everette stated. "And Renza can stay with us as long as she is allowed, but I don't see the need to keep her here if the Chief needs her elsewhere." He also added.

Getting back to the cave, Cerdic was tired, but he hadn't thought he was that tired as Mora suddenly fell back and he wasn't able to hold his grip on her legs enough to keep her from falling to the cold cave floor. He winced as she thudded, not liking the sound of it but unable to really do much to stop it. Moments later Alder was there, hovering over her before putting her in his and Daeni's charge as he took the papers from Cerdic. "If you had just asked I would have given it to you." Cerdic sounded annoyed as Alder walked away and Daeni insisted that he didn't look as she helped Mora more.

Still in a bad mood Cerdic looked out of the cave.
"I am going to keep watch out front for a bit." He told them walking just outside the cave and starting to pace as he stood away from the others, deactivating his armour for the moment being as he ran his fingers though his hair. "What the hell was my point? Why was I here in the first place, with this group?" He glanced back into the cave and sighed. "They would have been fine without me, so what brought me here? Why can't I remember?" It was frustrating not knowing his purpose. Everything he tried to do to help, he messed up with. And somewhere along his pacing and thinking he found himself sitting down staring at the coast line admiring the view for a moment as he thought of home for the moment.

Unfortunately Kiara's whip never made purchase as one of the comets from Arctus's attacks was deflected into the chain of her whip, throwing it off course. It was just a kid, but of course he wouldn't make it easy for her. It would take some time to figure out she supposed since his fight style was so different from everything else they fought. The kid seemed off though, like he was every bit the robot all those parts made him seem to be. It was weird. That being said nothing about this was normal, especially with the old familiar faces showing up.

Speaking of before Kiara had a chance to attack again she heard a voice and turned to face the woman who was supposed to be leading her friends to becoming masters or something like that.
"Yue. What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be running that test or something? Either way, Nequa is in there, she is apparently weak right now and waiting for that pod you are by." Kiara gave out a quick explanation before turning back to Echo. "But first we have to deal with this kid." With that she launched herself at him, this time using a fire ball to block his view of her attack before dodging left and attacking from the left side.

Thanks to Torrin Tinarah managed to keep herself going a little longer. Some of her wounds starting to heal over, though before she could really get herself functioning again everyone else jumped in and finished the heartless off. While Tinarah would have liked to be of more help, she didn't turn down the moment extra of rest before two new faces came flying in, questioning them. Tinarah looked down at her own outfit, it didn't remotely look like a costume. She was wearing jeans and a formerly white shirt. Was anyone going to tell them that they weren't even heroes? Apparently not, not that they were given time as she heard a laugh and then a voice.

An empty feeling passed over Tinarah. She had already drained her magic, but the void there was greater than that. Some sort of magic blocking field or something? This wasn't good, not at all, and the team was going all different ways with what they wanted to do. Thallasa was asking about places to stay, which it seemed Torrin and Aria disagreed with, but Illiana was trying to lecture them on why rest would be a good thing. Looking back at the burnt building Tinarah looked over at Illiana. She had barely spoken to the girl, and wasn't one for confrontations, but Tinarah felt it was important.
"We might be signing others, if we don't deal with this soon. We don't have our magic, meaning we can't heal people or put out fires effectively. If we don't go after it then he could go around hurting so many more people while we try to rest, and we can run to their aid every time, but we won't be as effective." Being one to rely on her magic more than her physical strength, Tinarah thought it was important to make sure that they had it avalible to them before they settled down, even if her body was already starting to tire out, not able to maintain her normal stamina.

"A hero of my world.... Who's world though. Is this the writing from the original journal entry? If that is the case who do you think this hero is? Mora if you have enough energy and have any idea let us know. For now this isn't the place to discuss this. We really should get back to the cave then we can sit there and work out the stupid puzzle okay?" Cerdic pushed glancing around. They were standing in a not well hidden or protected area, leaving the thing they were trying to fix alone for Ria to find, and seemed more focused on paper than what was around them. "Lets just go." Cerdic encouraged.

From this distance Tinarah couldn't focus on anything else that was going on. She regestered that a few others ran off to help Torrin, but until Master Thallasa told them to move on, Tinarah wasn't going to chase after them. She was still trying to cough the smoke from her lunges instead, as she continued to kneel down near her latest rescues. She was more than happy that she had used the spell on herself before she had gone into the building, how it felt now, Tinarah wondered how she would have faired if she hadn't healed herself.

The time to relax was short as heartless didn't take their time jumping on the opening to attack. Thallasa promised to get the people out, meaning they would have to defend the way. Getting to her feet, Tinarah tried to push off the feeling that she was still choking as she readied her keyblade. It crossed her mind, that maybe she wasn't ready to be out in the field again yet, but she had to at least try. The heartless were already swarming and there was so many of them. A touch of her charm for good luck and Tinarah stepped forward into battle.

At this point she wasn't used to having to fight with people, so communication was not what she was best at. That being said she did her best not to get in anyone else's way as she moved into battle. Eyeing a small cluster of bomb shaped heartless, Tinarah didn't rust the look of them and decided it best to deal with them first. Running in she spun her keyblade slashing at them taking one out after the other in easy quick swings. She might have been tired and panting going into this, but she had learned not to lay down and die. She had to at least try and do what she could, and right now that was to fight a mass horde of heartless, bringing down their numbers as quickly as possible. As she fought however a heartless thought it could get the jump on her. While Tinarah managed to deal with it in time, it slowed her movement down and she could feel as the exhaustion started to weigh down on her once again, causing her to step back once more.

Well she really hoped whoever Chrono got the shirt she was wearing from didn't want it back, since by the time they were done it would certainly be smelling of smoke. Tinarah enjoyed the fresh air for a moment but seeing her friends run back in she knew she needed to as well, even if her lungs were already burning. Taking one last deep breath of fresh air, Tinarah ran back in the building. Despite Aria's warning not to push herself too far, Tinarah wasn't willing to leave anyone inside that building. The more help they had the faster they could get everyone to safety.

Once more Tinarah only managed to make it to the eight floor, but with a blizzard spell, she managed to clear the fire from the doorway allowing access for a small family to escape the apartment. Needing the fresh air, Tinarah escorted them down, casting an additional blizzard spell near the stairway to keep the fire back.
"Run" Tinarah coughed as she put a hand on the fathers back encouraging him forward as they ran down the stairs towards and outside. Once out she fell to her knees and just took a moment to breath and tend to her wounds, casting cure on herself.

Of course they would run. It was the smart thing to do, but Kiara wasn't too fond of that. She would rather have finished the battle herself instead of watching her disappear. Still it made their job easier and the pod was kept out of Nequa's hands a little longer. Glen however wasn't making things easy as he explained his situation and asked about her power around fire. "A gift from the old man when he brought me here. Don't worry about it." Kiara responded to the fire comment a bit impatiently. The battle wasn't over and here he was worrying about how she could use fire. He was as useless as ever. At least eventually he got his focus on the right thing, and it seemed Kiara and Aeira had the same general idea.

"Look, you know how horrible Nequa is. If she gets that pod it is going to be horror on all of us. Here and in the realm of Light. You haven't learned your lesson from encounters with her, Vanitus and Aux? She is only building an army, do you want everyone to die. It is better one die than everyone else. It is a sacrifice good soldiers are willing to make." Kiara snapped at him. She didn't care about his worry, they had to keep the damn thing away from Nequa, kill her while she was weak, destroy her army before it grew any more. "For now we have another issue." Kiara looked back at the fight Arctus picked up against Echo.

"Oh no, don't think you get to steal the glory now." Kiara smirked a little bit as she turned and charged back towards Echo, as Arctus rained meteors down on the boy. Taking her whip and infusing it with fire once again she lashed out at Echo trying to knock him prone. If they could make quick work of this then they would be able to get through and put an end to it once and for all, and this kid didn't seem so strong. In fact he seemed like the easiest to deal with out of any of them.

As she climbed the stairs, Mortimer noticed and greeted her. Beaming Mirela climbed the last few stairs and shook his hand rather excited. "Thank you so much for the invite. This is so incredible! Wow. I mean.... I can't believe I am here, in your house. It is an honour to be invited to this. And the food is sooo good I don't think I have ever tried anything this good." Mirela exclaimed not really knowing how to hold her tongue and be polite in a place like this. She was just overjoyed to be in this place, to be worthy of being invited here.

Lucian couldn't help but roll his eyes a little bit at Kara as she continued to cover for him. It amazed him that she was still holding the act up, but it meant that she would probably want something for it later. While that didn't sit well with Lucian, she was harmless enough she couldn't do any worse than he tended to do on his own. As they walked, Lucian remained mostly quiet, not caring to talk too much with the company he was with, more so Dylan than Kara. He had enjoyed his conversations with Kara, though they were conversations he felt Dylan wouldn't approve of.

Keeping an eye on where they were going, they eventually arrived at a small street that housed certainly illegal items. His mechanical eye focused on several of the areas out of habit for his job. He took in the area a bit as the approached a door that Dylan warned it would get weird from there on out. He brought them into a dark room and Lucian tried to look around, see nothing.
"So what now?" He crossed his arms seeming rather unimpressed about it all.
