The group stood victorious over the mighty beast. While it seemed incomplete, it had been a force to be reckoned with nonetheless. The golden clad man walked over to Orpheus, who lay on the ground in defeat. His foul spells were broken with his defeat, and the sun shone from over the horizon with the coming of a new dawn. The necromancer looked up at the man above him in wonder. How had he been defeated? "Now then, Necromancer. I send you crawling back to your master with a message. Tell him that this guild is not one to be trifled with. Despite his power, he will see himself fail. None will ever eclipse us! He has chosen the wrong guild to start a war with. He brought this fight to our doorstep, so it's only right we return the favor. Tell him...we come for him." The cloth of his armor blew in the wind, giving him a regal appearance as he spoke. The five of them stood in the light of a new day. They had fought through the darkness of the night and emerged triumphantly. While their greatest challenged still lay ahead, this victory was theirs, and they had won it without interference from an outside source. Ra turned to the other four of them. "You fought valiantly, all of you. Admittedly i had my doubts at first, but now i have seen your true capabilities. That uncertainty is washed from my mind. You are the perfect choices for this team. None will stand in our way along the road to glory. Each of us alone is a force to be reckoned with, but only once we come together does our true power shine through to the surface for all to see. Together, we will be invincible. I have faith in that." Ra spoke with certainty and pride. Pride not only in himself, but in his comrades. He believed every word he said. He believed in them. "Come. The battle has been hard fought. Let us return to the guild momentarily and regain our strength. We should inform the others of Orpheus' defeat. We should regroup before we proceed onward. There will be more trials ahead." Trials. That wasn't the end of what he had to say, but he didn't continue. He didn't need to. There were trials ahead, but there was no reason for worry. They were trials to be faced together, and so, defeat wasn't possible. They were the team which was the crown jewel atop all others. They were the strongest. They were Team King.

So this is the part where we all forget the year happened right?
GABI COME QUICK SOMETHING IS HAPPENING!
Orpheus grunted as he was struck once more. He was...losing? That wasn't possible. No matter...It was because his back against the wall they would meet their end. They'd taken down champions, minions, and familiars alike. However...there was one they had yet to see. "Hehehe..." Orpheus began to chuckle. Blood ran down his face from his injuries. However, the blood, as it hit the ground, darkened and turned to a thick black. Flowing across the ground, it curved in unnatural ways along the stone streets, lining it's way around the area. The air grew thick and heavy, making it difficult to breath. There was magic in their air so foul and evil, the mere presence of it was palatable. Bones of the fallen undead rattled in place, being moved by a force far beyond simple reanimation magic. All around the city, undead which had been marching stopped in their tracks. Simultaniously, they looked up to the sky. They were being called...called to return to their master. The light of necromatic magic shone in their eyes with a wicked green hue. Each of them let out a deafening cry as they were engulfed in black flames, crackling with magical power. Together, the tones of their screeches engulfed the entire city. Eventually, their bodies burnt away into the black fire, leaving naught but a wisp of the flames. The black wisps shot through the town at immense speeds, moving toward the central location of the necromancer which called the darkness that had summoned them back to him. As they gathered, the bones which shook on the ground around Orpheus rose to receive the darkness. it seeped into them, turning them pure, untainted black. The skin which was torn into shreds spun around in the air, orbiting the bones. "As life is brought once again to this creature, the flames of hope in your hearts shall be snuffed out like candles. The chorus that is your death rattles will reach to the farthest corners of the world, letting all know the power of Magus Ascension. Let it be known that as you die, you become mine. The lifeless remains of your guild will serve me. Come to me, Final Arbiter!" The black blood which ran from Orpheus' body ran along the ground, and eventually connected with itself back at the necromancer, having finished drawing the sigil which would serve as the abomination's entrance into the world. As the ritual reached the climax, there was silence. No man dared speak. No bird dared sing. Those who witnessed it could only await with baited breath. It was the calm before a mighty storm, and when that storm hit, the very ground shook beneath its might. The sigil of blood opened, giving way to a corrupt pit far deeper than any could ever hope to imagine. The thing that rose from it was not human. It was so far from it there could be no comparison. A demon? A spirit? Only one thing could be certain. It was evil incarnate. Summoned by the darkness, it took the bodies of the undead to give itself form. The bones and skin all collected into it, mashing together to form a makeshift body for the entity. As the summoning finished, it stood from the crouching position it had entered existence in. As it reached its full monstrous height, the gravity of the situation became apparent. This...horror. This...Abomination...It wasn't something that should ever set foot in our realm. The very fact it existed was an affront to nature that made the world itself turn and contort. The earth blackened and died beneath its feet, unable to live in the monster's unholy presence. Turning, the devil's eyes rested on team king. Their battle up until now was a mere game. Only now had their trial truly begun. Ezekiel, who looked upon the events of the battle from above, was shocked. To think Orpheus would resort to using the final arbiter...Was he really made so desperate? Had he not known Orpheus better, he would have immediately assumed it was due to his own incompetence. However, aside from himself Orpheus was the strongest member of the guild. "Ra...Have you truly grown so mighty since last we met?" It was almost a shame. The five fighting Orpheus were truly powerful. He disliked having power snuffed out. However, Orpheus had used his trump card. They were already dead. They...and everyone else in Sapphire eclipse. That was an unspeakable monster. When they were through, Ezekiel would have to step in himself in order to stop the beast, lest it go on an unstoppable rampage. Beucette was feeling the wrath of RNGesus as Alastor used some kind of triple element attack and blew her back. That wasn't too pleasant. She would've been down for the count had another member not stepped in and healed her. Feeling good as new, or pretty close to it, she stood up, back into the fight. Shortly before she attacked, there was a deafening scream, or collection of screams. When it was over, she looked out the window to see an enormous undead, which dwarfed buildings stand up. She gave an impressed whistle. "That is one hell of a nasty. But if anyone can take it down, it's a bird, a pervert, saber/extra, natsu, and...uh...that other guy. I'll never forget ol' whatshisname!" She nonsensically rambled, seeming to have utmost faith in her guild mates. Running at Alastor, she used quick blitz. time for some payback.

The fight seemed to be going well for them, but Orpheus had summoned more undead. They didn't seem like they would prove to be overly troublesome to eliminate, but when one attacked Gaius, things took a turn for the worse. A disease from it spread throughout his body in a matter of seconds. He was no, in essence, undead. It was possible that defeating Orpheus would cure this condition, as he was the source. However, until such time, Gaius was somewhat unreliable. He attacked random targets, unable to reason which was friend. "Your presence here stains the very earth you walk on! I will purify this land, and purge you from it! When you are defeated, you can return to Ezekiel and tell him who it was that sent you back in defeat!" Planting his staff into the ground, Ra shot a flurry of lightning bolts from the tip of it at the undead champion. The excess energy would hit Orpheus as well, but the longer they left that alive, the more dangerous it would become. Ra used thunder on Undead Champion 2!
Ra glared at the Necromancer. He hid himself in a cloud of darkness, obscuring their vision. At least the undead which had initially been with him had been taken down. However, it bothered him that while the other undead which they defeated simply faded away into the darkness whence they came, these remained. The shattered body parts stayed sitting on the ground, remaining there for some unknown reason. In any case, worrying about it would get them nowhere. Raising his staff, it began to glow with a bright grey light. "I cast you to the wind!" An orb of air burst forth from his staff and traveled straight at their foe. However, it was difficult to say whether or not the attack would hit through the shroud of darkness. Ra cast Aero! This guy was a lot tougher than the lasers they were fighting before (...Yep, that still sounded pretty weird.), He'd just dealt a pretty good amount of damage to them nearly all at once. At least they'd taken a dent out of him as well. She planted her sword into the ground and charged up a bright light magic. Waving her hand, healing power washed over hear, stitching her wounds back together and mending her flesh. Being somewhat revitalized, she picked up her sword once again, hoping that she wouldn't have to do that again. Beucette cast Cure on Beucette!

"THESE CLAWS AIN'T FOR JUST ATTRACTING MATES!" Beuce screamed as he was engaging in fisticuffs with a broom. Ducking under a swift bucket swing, a hard left hook snapped it in half. That was one more down, or up rather. The broom just regenerated back into another. This was getting really old. I mean, he had been fighting them off screen for a while but since it was off screen it didn't actually add to the count. Re-summoning his keyblade, he tossed a strike raid at one of them, slicing it in half before the keyblade rebounded and came hurling back to its owner. He would have caught it, but there was one reason he didn't. That being, the arm he tried to catch it with was lying in the library of central haven. So, he forgot that there wasn't any arm, and it flew straight past him. Welp. That happened. Even worse, it flew headlong into Karina. Bonking her on the back of the head, the keyblade splashed into the water. When she looked over, he stood there, him and a broom staring at her. "Uh...Broom! How dare you disarm me and throw my keyblade at Karina! I shall vanquish the for such a horrid act of evil! En garde!" He called, summoning his keyblade to him once more. Taking up a fencing stance, he slashed away at the broom before him. As expected, it simply regrew into more of them. Also Beuce killed the other brooms for the post because yeah, writing. What a drag. That was when he noticed a horrible sight. Glen was being drowned by Karina, and Kaida was helping! He knew what he had to do. Flipping back over the desk which Karina had flipped in a rage earlier on, he started using it as a raft in the water. After climbing on it, he took out a coconut filled with a fruity drink and began sipping it. This was going to be interesting. Time to see if Glen has the ability to survive among like...four people trying to murder him via drowning him. He could help him, but he decided not to. If Glen asked about it, he could always just pull the "I'm crippled now" card. Then if he kept up about him not doing anything, then he'd be an insensitive ******.
"Whew, thank ya hon." The white haired female said, thanking Silvia for healing her. Honestly, she had no idea what the hell had just happened. They were just attacking lasers and rocks were falling on them, then raising back up to fall on them again. Like, seriously, what was that about? They kept beating them back, but like rats they just kept popping up elsewhere with more of them. Although, bright side, now they knew they could attack Ezekiel and it would work. Not entirely sure why, but it works. Just then, she heard a voice commenting about their ability to hit lasers. "Right?! like what even. I'm no expert on arcane magic 'n shit but i don't think we should be able to do that. And what was with the rocks? They were FLOATING UP INTO THE AIR AND DROPPING ON US AGAIN! What the actual fuck?!" Beucette sighed, finishing her angry rant about how nonsensical what had just transpired was. "Anyways, guessin' yer the miniboss o' this here group? God, why are you such a pussy compared to that other guy? Vlad 'er somethin'? Actually i think he's just op as fuck....Oh. Rienzel's character. Well, don't that explain a lot..." Shaking her head at her RPers habit of making characters who were stupidly villain sue, she went to battle. Hefting up her enormous greatsword which was easily bigger than she was with unexplainable ease, she lunged at Alastor. Given the massive size of her weapon, the speed she went at was shocking to say the least. Beucette used Quick Blitz on Alastor!

The arcane being resided in the fortress of Magus Ascension. Surrounding him were the four individuals who, outside of himself, made up a majority of the power of the guild. Ezekiel was in his locus of power state. Blue streams of energy flowed upward from the ground furiously into his form as the stone pieces floated around him in a sphere. His true arcane form was more clearly visible to any who looked upon him. One after another, blasts of arcane energy were fired in the direction of the opposing guild. So far, they'd managed to fend off what he'd sent at them to some extent, but that wouldn't last. It was only a matter of time before their guild hall fell, and with it, them. He looked down upon the members of Sapphire Eclipse. While about half of them were defending their guild hall, the other half was foolish enough to try to challenge them directly. Among the forces attacking was a golden haired individual wearing brilliantly shimmering armor. Ordinarily, this would be accompanied by a full helmet, covering his face, but he'd left it in the guild hall. The four others he traveled with, along with Ra himself, were utterly destroying any opposition they came across. Perhaps Ra's strength had grown since last they met. However, it wouldn't be nearly enough. It was time he sent out the guild members who acted as his trump cards when there was a large scale battle happening. "Orpheus, Thea, Yana, Alastor. You four, save for myself, are the strongest members among the ranks of Magus Ascension. It is time you showed them the power held by our guild. I trust you will not disappoint me." Ezekiel said to the four. If they were to be deployed directly, then he was serious about destroying these people. It was his will that they died, and these four were the envoys of that will. "Yana, I believe you have business to settle with some of the defenders of the guild. The young man who delivered our message, and his lover. Do as you will with them. Alastor, you are to engage the others who are protecting the guild from being destroyed. They cannot possibly handle both my power and yours simultaneously. They will fall soon enough." The remaining two elites were to be defending their own guild. The attackers had split off into two groups. While one seemed to be struggling decently well, the other faced little to no difficulty. Their spells brought ruin to all who came against them. Had circumstances been different, he may have considered allowing them to join his guild. "Thea. Prove that you will follow me loyally. You are to dispose of the second group who dare attack us. Do this, and you will be rewarded greatly." With Thea given her orders, that left only one elite, and one position he could be given. "Orpheus. I entrust you with the task of bringing my brother before me. Kill his allies, make them undead, and force them to mutilate the survivors, but Ra must be brought to me. He will watch as his guild dies, knowing he brought our wrath upon them, and then join them himself. " The ascendant ordered. Orpheus smiled grimly from beneath his hood. His eyes were obscured, but from what could be seen, they were full of bloodlust (lol). "You each know your tasks. Go forth and teach them the folly that is opposing us." The necromancer known as Orpheus had been sending out hordes of undead to assault the enemies this entire time, but now it seemed that their master wished for them to go out and battle them directly. Very well. So he commanded it, so it shall be. They would do their part in the battle and go forth to destroy the enemies of Magus Ascension. Orpheus raised a single hand high into the air and uttered a foul sounding incantation. "Despair!" He called out the name of the creature he summoned. Green energy spiraled around him from his orb and black arcs of lightning shot into the ground. Cloaked in shadows, an unholy abomination rose from where his power had touched. A skeletal steed, draped in cloth as black as night itself. It obediently stood by its master, awaiting orders. It was still and silent as the grave. There was no breath from it. It gave no false illusion that it was alive. It was dead, given strength to move once more by the dark magics of the necromancer. Mounting Despair, Orpheus was prepared to leave and meet Ra's cohort in combat. He looked once more at the other three of the elite four. "Best of luck to you all. Should you not return, i'll be sure to put your bodies to good use. You'll make exceptional champions in my ranks." With a sick laugh, one could hardly tell if Orpheus was joking or serious. Perhaps a bit of both. The rather frightening individual waved a hand once more. The shadows collected into black doorways. Shortcuts in space through the darkness. Four doorways stood in a row, each ready to take one of the generals to their destination. "One last gift to the three of you, to help ensure no harm comes to you. While you'd make splendid undead, you're a tad more useful while living." Around each of them, undead rose from the shadows at their feet. Each of them had six. Three familiars, Two Minions, and a Champion. "Farewell." With that final parting gift to aid them in their battle, Orpheus' steed galloped through the shadowy doorway at his command. Emerging on the other side of the corridor, he looked down upon team king from a rooftop. It seemed they were making short work of the undead he had sent against them. Good. Perhaps they would like more of a challenge. He overheard one of them complaining about not even getting the opportunity to fight due to his teammates' strength. "A stronger foe is what you want, is it? I'll consider it your last request." Orpheus strode down, commanding Despair to leap from the building. It landed without much difficulty in front of them. He received an angry glare from Ra, who seemed displeased with one of the four elites showing themselves. He likely wasn't about to underestimate him as one of the mages they'd been fighting. Ra was on his guard. "Who are you?!" Ra asked, readying his staff and charging it with magical power. Orpheus laughed at the question. "Who indeed. I am the man who tears the veil. I am one with the grim reaper. Both death's defiant and its bringer. My name is Orpheus. I am one of Ezekiel's four elite mages. Now then, I believe we both know why I'm here. " With that, Orpheus summoned several undead around him of different varieties, ready to fight for him. "Allow me to guide you to the afterlife." Also Beucette attacked the laser so yeah.
Ra used thunder, joining in the rain of lightning upon the heathens who thought they could challenge team king. Beucette was all "bitch please" and cleaved a laser in half.
